fangirls-be-like-asdfghjkl: Morning after?
"You're not very good at this."
She snuggles closer to his chest. "And by this, you mean…"
"Sharing a bed. You're good at the other stuff."
She smirks. "The other stuff?"
"Yeah. The other stuff." He grins. "But you still sleep like a starfish."
"I know."
"You do?"
"Yeah," she murmurs with a sigh. "But I know that you don't mind."
He chuckles lightly, and she can feel where the sound originates in his chest. "What makes you so sure?"
"Well, if you didn't like my sleeping habits, you would've gotten out a long time ago." Kensi props her chin up on his chest. "Right, Justin?"
He lifts an eyebrow. "Are we role playing a married couple again? Because, if that's the case, I'm happy to provide you with those mutant ninja assassins we discussed last time."
She narrows her eyes and lazily cocks her head to one side. "Really?"
"Remember that ticking I told you about? I can still hear it. And it's definitelynot a bomb."
Kensi kicks his shin with her foot but he doesn't even flinch. "I do not have a biological clock, Deeks."
"Ohhh yes you do. And it's ticking. Like sometimes when we're driving, and it's quiet, I can hear this faint sound, almost like a distant beeping noise-"
"Deeks."
"Yeah?"
Kensi tightens her arms around his waist and closes her eyes. "Sleep."
"Is this what you do when you don't want to talk about something?"
She shrugs. "Maybe."
Deeks chuckles and settles back into the bed, which he knows they'll both be staying in for awhile. Possibly the rest of the day.
"One could have worse habits."
