Anonymous: Eric and Nell's daughter goes on a date with Kensi and Deeks' son.
"Are you guys watching them?" Deeks asks in disbelief as he strolls through the automatic doors up at OPS, Kensi by his side.
Eric and Nell nod, unfazed by his concern. He chuckles and shakes his head, staring at his son's face on the screen. Surveillance cameras? Really?
"Look, I wanna see what's going on just as much as you do, but don't you think this is an invasion of my boy's privacy?"
Nell lifts her eyebrows. "Not if 'your boy' is going to be dating 'my girl'."
He purses his lips and nods. "Point taken."
Kensi winds an arm through the crook of his elbow and leans in to whisper- "Are we going to get in trouble for this?"
"For spying on our kids? Only if they find out."
"No, no-" She motions around the room. "-for this. For hacking into the cameras. Hetty might kill us."
He smiles. "She'll know it's being put to good use."
"I thought you weren't condoning this?"
"I'm not," he says simply with a shrug. "But if Nell's gonna do it, I'm definitely gonna watch."
For a long moment they stare at the screen in silence, watching the two kids talk and occasionally laugh until- "I knew this was going to happen."
Kensi smirks at her husband. "Did you now?"
"Well, not just me. Eric and I've both know it from the start." He grins. "Ever since Ray kissed her on the playground when they were six."
Eric nods and Nell's voice reaches a new octave. "Your son kissed my daughter when they were six?!"
"Just a peck."
"On the cheek?"
He squints one eye, bracing for an assault. "On the lips."
"OH MY GOD! Why didn't you tell me?!"
"Because I assumed you'd have this exact reaction!"
"Well you assumed correctly!"
"Hey, it's not my fault the kid has nerve!"
"Yes it is! He's like a carbon copy of you!"
Deeks shrugs because she's right. "Can't argue with that."
Although she feels the need to yell at him some more, Nell doesn't want to miss anything, so she folds her arms and turns to face the screen once more.
No more than five seconds later, Ray reaches across the table and intertwines his fingers with Alex's. Now Nell looks as if she really wants to scream.
"Did he just-"
Deeks smiles and nods, whispering, "That's my boy."
Nell spins her head around. "Excuse me?!"
Eric tucks his head and mutters, "Here we go."
"Well, I mean…" Deeks knows he shouldn't have let that slip. Kensi immediately elbows him in the side but he can't force himself to backtrack. "He's just holding her hand! What's the big deal?"
She narrows her eyes and he feels a shiver run up his spine. Shaggy didn't know Velma could be this scary.
"When you have a daughter, you'll know."
He sucks his lips back into his mouth and nods, not even giving himself the chance to slip up and spill the little secret that Kensi and him are currently keeping to themselves.
'I guess I'll know soon enough,' he thinks with a smile.
