I woke up in Zeke's room; I guess it's a good thing he doesn't know I sleep in Tris' room sometimes because the first thing I sense in the morning was regret. I groan. Did I really have that conversation with her?! I change quickly and hope that no one catches me, and when I say no one, I especially mean Tris. I peek out before leaving just to make sure and start running, but then I hear a girl's voice calling out my name, "Tobias!" I freeze and turn around; it's Tris. She raises an eyebrow and runs up to me. Please tell me she forgot about that. Of course she didn't forget, idiot. She wasn't drinking, unlike someone. Try to remain neutral. Please don't bring last night up.
Tris starts, "Hey."
"Hey…" I reply.
She starts blushing. Oh please, don't bring it up. "So, yesterday," she says. Oh no, she's going to bring up our conversation. She continues, "In the morning, when you were changing, I was kind of…awake, and I noticed there were scars on your back." I hope she won't ask me where I got them. "Where did you get them?" Of course she did; she's always curious, but I guess that's one of the things I like about her.
"I can't tell you," I say, hoping she won't press on it. She surprisingly nods, understanding it's difficult to talk about. I can tell she's disappointed, but I don't want her to know and see me as a kicked puppy.
"Well I can help you learn how to self-defend if you want," Tris offers. This can also help me in the future when the Erudites attack! She continues, "I can give you Dauntless training, maybe not as brutal, but it can help."
I quickly accept, "Yes and thanks."
She smiles and says, "See you tonight at eight; nobody should be at the training room then." I nod in agreement. She looks at the clock and tells me, "Hurry up, or else you'll be late for whatever you're doing at Abnegation."
I nod and say, "See you later!"
She responds, "Bye!" while smiling.
By the time I get there, everyone is already at the building with food. We do the same thing every day, isn't anyone tired of the same old routine? Like usual, I pick up the box of canned food and pass it out; only this time, I can think about training and learning how to fight back. I even think about it during the same old meeting with Tris' parents and Marcus. After the meeting is dismissed, I immediately run back to the trains.
There, I find Tris waiting for me, smiling.
Not a long chapter this time, so sorry if anyone cares! Anyways, please review! and I might also update another chapter today because this one was a bit short!:) The next chapter will be about his training! PS: Will start reading Legend as soon as I get it!
Are you guys still excited for the movie even with that (kinda disappointing) ending? :)
