A/N: Hello guys! I'm back! :) Thank you for all your reviews! I love you guys! i know you missed this story and I missed writing it too. I'm terribly sorry for taking two months before updating. Real life caught up on me, but now I'm finally on vacation! :D I have a one month break and I'll be making the most of it doing the things I love - one of which is writing. So, without further ado, here's the next chapter. (Sorry if it's short! The next one will be longer I promise ;) )
Later that day..
"So, I guess here's your stop." He said as they pulled over in front of her house. It was the first thing he said since they drove away home. Their whole trip was quiet but it wasn't out of awkwardness or the lack of conversation starters in their heads. In fact, it was because the silence felt rather comforting for both of them; just basking in the overwhelming feeling brought about by everything that had just conspired. "Yeah, thanks for the ride Chandler." She said as he went on to open the door for her. "You're very welcome. I guess I'll see you tomorrow."
He smiled and took one of her hands in his. They were both blushing and he was now swaying their hands back and forth. "I guess this is the point where I tell you to have a good night." She replied while affectionately squeezing his hand. "Of course, it's a good night. You have a good night.. We're having a good night…Good night, Monica!" He said playfully. "Chandler, I'm going in now." She said while looking over at their intertwined hands. "Oh yeah, of course umm…" He placed a kiss on her hand first before letting it go. "Sleep well, beautiful." He said staring straight into her eyes. Those blue eyes; they were twinkling bright even in the dim night. "Sleep well...pink bunny." She said teasingly. "Pink bunny? So that's my new nickname, huh?" He asked; raising one eyebrow. "You don't like it?" She asked back. "No, I think I'm gonna keep it - as long as I'm your only pink bunny?" He said, grinning widely. "Yes, you're my only pink bunny. Now go, I really need to be home now. You're stalling." She said with a laugh. "Okay, okay. I'm sorry."
Chandler wanted to kiss her bad, but he did not want to rush into things. Their relationship sure had taken on another new level but they have yet to talk about the true score between them. One thing's for sure, he will continue doing everything he can to make her happy and continue hoping that they could make it official soon. He then leaned in to her and the other one getting the signal, gave each other a quick peck on the cheek.
She waved him goodbye as she closed the gate behind her. He walked back to his car, fiddling with his car keys. He's biting his lower lip; a habit he has grown to do whenever he's feeling anxious. He looked back at her house, letting the adrenaline rush take the best of him. "Oh man, what am I doing?" Chandler thought. He ran towards the familiar gap on the side of her house and climbed up fast. "I guess I still haven't figured out how to use their perfectly fine gate. Oh well." He said with a snicker. Chandler hoped she was still there, 'cause this can't wait 'till tomorrow.
Monica couldn't stop smiling although something was bothering her. She touched her cheek which still has the warmth of Chandler's lips on them. Something was missing. She was just about to fit in her key when she heard him calling her name. "Monica." His face lit up when she looked back at him. "Chandler-what? Why?" She said, walking towards him. "Your pink bunny forgot to give you this." He disregarded all his inhibitions and took her face in between his hands. He held on to her lovingly, slowly running a thumb across her cheek. Not long did his lips long to reach hers as they met in a tender kiss. His fingers were trickling down the back of her left ear while her arms now clung onto his nape. A few seconds later they both let go and the look on their faces revealed how flustered they were. They both chuckled nervously and he playfully held onto her hand once more. Tears were daring to fall from his eyes out of sheer joy. This is one of his dreams coming true. She kissed him back with equal affection - with no protest; and it meant that there was a part of her that felt the same way too.
Monica was speechless; having just swept off of her feet. She's got butterflies in her stomach, and they were fluttering along, giving her this indescribable feeling. "So this must be how it feels like to be in love?" She thought. Chandler - the once annoying one, the one who acted like a crazed idiot whenever he wanted to be noticed, the one who trespassed her house just so he could know if she was okay, the one who baked her those delicious cookies, the one who claimed that he secretly yet obviously admired her...and now, the one who was her first kiss - and it was perfect.
"Good night, for real this time." He said with a slight smirk. "You said that ten minutes ago." She answered back. He ran towards the gap once again and Monica called for him to come back. "Chandler! What are you doing? There's the gate." She shouted in a small voice. It was late at night and she sure didn't want to wake Judy up. "No, but I like it here. And besides it's fitting. It'll be the perfect crime, for the thief who stole your heart." he said winking. She just looked back at him with a smug face. "See you tomorrow, you know it." He said before finally leaving. She slowly got up to her room and hid herself under her blanket. She was smiling like crazy, and she kept a finger across her lips. Swirling thoughts of the kiss they shared can't get out of her head.
The next day...
Monica went to her locker room that day at her usual time. At this point, she would have looked over and see a new note posted at her door. She expected differently today - with the identity of her secret admirer already revealed; she thought that he would not bother sending her those anymore. A smile crept on her face when it was proven that she's wrong. A yellow note was still placed on her locker, in addition to a single pink rose hanging by the side. She picked the flower up and took a whiff of its pleasant smell. She read the note:
"Monica,
Just because you know who I am doesn't mean my mission of making you happy every day is accomplished. I know I'll be working on that for a lifetime. I'll still be your sweet admirer, it's not just a secret anymore. ;)
Love,
Your Pink Bunny"
She kissed the note and continued walking towards the cafeteria.
Chandler was waiting patiently at their usual spot, tapping lightly on their table, sipping once in a while on his favorite juice drink. When he saw her arrive he stood up took her seat and proceeded to seat her down like a gentleman. "Wait." She said while hugging him tight. "Thank you, Chandler." She smiled genuinely at him and he did so too. "Did you like it?" He said, pointing to the rose. "Like it? I love it! You are so sweet." She replied in a mesmerizing look that never fails to make Chandler fall harder for her each day. "Umm, Mon. There's something I need to ask you." He said nervously. "What is it?" She said with a smile. "Umm. Would you like to go on a date with me? Saturday night?" He asked. He didn't know why he was feeling so nervous. They kissed last night, and it was one hell of a kiss. But still, the pessimist in him couldn't brush off the thought that she may just have been caught in the moment and that she didn't really feel the same way. "I would love too." She said, noticing that he was sweating a little which revealed his nervousness. She found it cute. "You're sweating." She laughed. "Sorry 'bout that." He chuckled back. "Well, you weren't that tensed last night." She replied, smirking. "Oh, I wasn't." The memory of last night kept replaying on his head. It was magical.
"So, where are you taking me?" She asked. "Umm actually, if it's fine with you, we're going camping." he said, eagerly awaiting her response. "Isn't that overnight?" She asked unsure. She doesn't really know how she could ask for permission from his parents, add to the fact that she's going there with a date. "Oh, don't worry. We won't be alone. It's actually a field trip organized by the outdoor club and the ROTC people and I just kinda got two tickets hoping you'd say yes..." He said. "I don't know Chandler, it's not required so I don't have a decent excuse for this to my parents." she said. She was actually taking chances here, with the way her stepmother acts towards her and how overprotective her brother and father are, she knew they would flip when they find out she's going on a date.
On a brighter note, Chandler never fails to surprise her. She smiled at the thought of his ideal first date which is to go camping. She found it amusingly sweet. He was one-of-a-kind. "Oh do you need a letter where it'll say it's required? I may do something about that. Come on, let's go." He said while reaching out for her hand. He led her to the familiar place. "The guidance counselor's office?" she asked. "Yes."
"Ms. Rogers! You know Monica." he said cheerfully to the woman at the desk. "Mr. Bing, Ms. Geller." The lady gave a meaningful smile at the both of them. "Good Afternoon, Ms. Rogers." Monica said shyly. "Oh, sit down. So, Mr. Bing, to what do I owe the pleasure?" The lady started. "I know I've been asking a lot of favors, but this is really special." Chandler told her about the camping trip and how it'll be their first date. "Oh, that's very nice! Okay, I might put here that it's about teambuilding or something...There you go!" she handed Monica the letter with a smile. "Wow, that was...easy." Monica reacted. "Well, it's no biggie. Just keep this a secret between us guys. And enjoy the camping trip." Ms. Rogers winked at the both of them. Monica headed for the door and Chandler said he'd follow soon after. Ms. Rogers whispered something to him. "When you go back, I want all the details. I'm so happy for you kid! " she said excitedly. "I will. God, I can't believe we're finally going on a date. Thank you, Ms. Rogers!" They patted each other back.
"Wow, you and Ms. Rogers are close." Monica commented as he walked out to join her. He took her hand and they held hands while walking. "Well, we go way back. We're really close." He said. "Oh no, you don't tell me?" She said with an amused gasp. She tried to tease him and see how he would react. "Not that close! Come on, why would you entertain that thought? She's like the big sister I never had." He said with a laugh and slight unease. "Just kidding. Sorry for messing with you." She said. "Wow, Monica Geller with a sick sense of humor - never thought I'd see the day." he said. "Oh you don't know a lot of things about me, Chandler Bing." she replied. She loved the little flirting that they've been doing. She doesn't know how he does it , but he has a way of bringing out the best in her, letting her lose herself - and just enjoy. "And I'll work on getting to know you better starting this Saturday. It's a date." he said. "Don't get too excited, cross your fingers first that I can make it." She said, hoping for sure that she can. "Okay, call me." he gave her a peck on the cheek before parting ways.
Later that night...
The phone was ringing. Chandler picked it up immediately, hoping it was the call he was waiting for the whole night.
"Chandler, it's Monica."
"Hello, beautiful. So?"
"Pack your bags. We're going camping."
"Yes!"
"Sssssshhhh! You almost made me deaf."
"I'm sorry. I'm just so excited."
"Okay, I'll see you. Good night, Pink Bunny."
"Good night, Mon."
Saturday is gonna be amazing.
