A/N:Heya! I apologize for the super long wait for this update. But here it is. I worked hard so hopefully you'll all like it, haha! Just to warn (and by popular demand ish kind of) there is a lemon in this chapter. If you are not comfortable with that, feel free to skip the lemon part. Its at the end of the chapter, starting from about "you little devil" all the way to the end. It's not imperative to the plot, but I haven't wrote one in since like, chapter 14, and people seemed to like it, so I thought I'd take another crack at it. And for someone who personally gets embarrassed writing lemons (though not reading them, for whatever reason) there was a lot of giggling and face slapping -/- (I have the bad habit of giggling when I'm embarrassed, it sucks ass). ANYWAY, sorry for the ramble, here is the next installment. Oh also a refresher:

Previously on TLE...

The band is broken up, Axel and Rox are made up, Sora and Roxaxs joint birthday party is tomorrow, and Roxas has yet to reconcile with any of the band members.

Sorry that I wasn't able to get to the party yet, but next chapter! I tend to update more during the summer, and akuroku day is a guaranteed update, so I should be better about updating now. Again, sorry for the long author's note, enjoy the chapter!

Roxas POV

"Hey Sor…I know we haven't talked in awhile but please hear me out. I'm really sorry about bailing on TLE. You know I wouldn't have done that in my right mind. Still, I take full responsibility for it. Anyway, whether you forgive me or not right now is another story, but it's going to be really awkward at our party tomorrow if we're avoiding each other. Also Mom doesn't know we're not talking. And I don't wanna worry her, you don't wanna worry her…I'm not trying to use her as an excuse for us to make up, I just want to talk this out with you. So please…can you forgive me? And please, would you pick up your-"

I'm sorry, the message you were trying to record has exceeded the maximum amount of minutes. To try again please press-click.

God damn it. I don't want to apologize over the phone, but Sora is avoiding me like dissonance, and it is driving me bananas. It is true that Mom is going to flip her flip if we don't get our shit together by the party. Which is tomorrow. Fuuuck.

I hate to get him in the middle of things, but these desperate times called for desperate measures.

I walk into the living room of the condo to see Cloud and Leon on the couch watching but not really watching TV.

I really don't want to disrupt them, but this was important. "Bro, can I talk to you?" Of my use of "bro" instead of his name, he knew something was up. He walks with me out to the porch where we can chat outside.

"Does this have anything to do with the party tomorrow?" he asks after plopping down next to me.

"No. Yes. No, but yes. Look, have you talked to Sora recently?"

"Yeah. Why?"

Ugh, so he really is just ignoring me. Alright, come on Rox! "We're not speaking currently."

Cloud's face scrunches up. "What? Why?"

"Because reasons. Now what I need you to-"

"Why aren't you and Sora talking?" he pushes. I groan at the interruption.

"TLE had a fight with me, we broke up, now no one in the group is talking to me, including Sora. Now, what I need you-"

"Roxas, your band broke up? When did this happen?"

"While I was fighting with Axel, okay? Now what I-"

"So this happened weeks ago? Why didn't you tell me? Is this why you were so broken up? I was confused how Axel was causing all that anguish you were feeling. I'm sorry," he apologizes, rubbing my back.

I shoo his hand away. "It's not important right now!"

"Why did you guys break up?"

Aaaaaugh. "Does it really matter right now?"

"Yeah, I want to know."

"We had a gig at Hollow Bastion, and I bailed. Look, could you just-"

"Wow, you bailed on HB? I can see why they're upset."

Cloud was going to give me an aneurysm. "Yes, I know," I groan through gritted teeth.

"But I'm sure they'll get over it. You guys are friends."

"I know." Supposedly, anyway. I wasn't so sure anymore.

"So what is it you need me to do?"

So he was listening. "Look, and don't you dare interrupt me. The party is tomorrow-you're going right?" After he nods I continue. "Good. So tomorrow, I need a chance to talk to Sora, but he's not answering my calls, so I need you to get him here so we can at least get on some form of forgiving for this shindig so that my mom doesn't have a mental breakdown."

"I don't know Rox…" Cloud says scratching the back of his head. "I would feel bad lying to Sora. And your Mom's been doing a lot better I hear. She might be able to help you guys make up."

"This is my mom we're talking about?" My mom, who had to be hospitalized after I came out. Granted, I didn't do it in the best way, and Auntie was involved, making the situation twenty times more stressful. But the fact of the matter is, people don't just change overnight. "So are you going to help me or not?"

"I'll see what I can do," he states, clapping me on the back before heading inside. Gee, that was reassuring. But I don't want to drag Cloud into the middle of our feud, it was just inevitable what with him being so close to Sora and I, and the fact that we live together. I'm sure that Sora and I would eventually work things out, but we just don't have that kind of time because of our stupid birthday! Why did we have to be born during the summer? Everyone gets all crazy during the summer. Fights happen during the summer. Couldn't we have been born winter babies?

I take out my phone to try calling again but it's just no use. I can't get a hold of him. It's frustrating being so out of control of the situation.

But then my phone starts ringing and I answer it immediately without noticing the caller ID or ringtone. "Sora?"

"Nope!" says a cheery voice.

"Hello mother," I say, trying not to let my disappointment leak through.

"Honey bear, how are you?"

"Fine before you started calling me honey bear," I answer honestly. "Please just call me Roxas tomorrow, my friends are going to be there."

"I won't embarrass you at the party, promise." Uh-huh. Ten out of ten she calls me that ridiculous nickname while we're all singing happy birthday.

"Was there something else?" I ask. I'm pretty sure I texted her all the things and foods I wanted for tomorrow.

"Oh right, why I called!" My mom was a scatterbrain. A cute scatterbrain, but still. "I wasn't sure how on board you would be with this, seeing as how you two are getting older…"

"I already said I was fine with sharing a cake mom, it's no bigie."

"No, not that. Another birthday tradition for you and Sora."

Uhhhhhh. "What else did we do? Besides wear matching outfits…"

"Bingo!"

Oh. "I mean, we do that normally anyway," for TLE and stuff. Or rather we did. "But I don't know how ok Sora would be with-"

"Oh I already asked him. He said he was fine with it," she replies quickly.

He did? "He did?" I echo my thoughts.

"Mmhm! So if you could come pick-up your outfit that would be super. I don't understand why you don't just spend the night tonight, but you're spending the night tomorrow, so I can't complain."

"Can't I just change when I get there?" It seems like a hassle to go over there now, then come back home, just to go back over there tomorrow morning. Plus Sora is probably there right now.

Wait, Sora is probably there right now!

"But honey, you really should arrived dressed, so you don't have to take the time to-"

"You're right, you're absolutely right mother. I'll be over in an hour or so."

"Oh, okay. I'll see you soon then sweetie! We can check over the other party things while you're here."

"Roger."

After hanging up I run inside to ask Cloud for a ride when him and Leon are done with their show. He drops me off at my mother's place later that night. I guess this is still my home too. "Ma! Dad! I'm home!"

"In the kitchen honey!" I hear a muffled voice. I head towards the kitchen and my mother is icing cupcakes. There are what looks like a hundred of them in sight. No doubt there are more in the fridge. "Jesus Mom."

"I know you told me not to overdo it, but I found these cute designs, look! Little guitars and musical notes, you stick them right in, and they're edible too!"

"They look great Mom," I chuckle. "Is Sora here?"

"Last I saw he was playing his guitar in his room," she says while completely focused on making an eighth note with red icing. Her hair is being held back with a headband instead of her usual loose hanging ponytail. Her hair was much too short for that now. "Your clothes for tomorrow are in the bag on the coffee table."

"Thanks Ma. Also where's Dad?"

"Overtime," she answers absently.

"Again?"

"He does what he can," she sighs, defending him. I don't know why this was making me angry. I mean, me and Dad never really got along, especially since he had the bad habit of blaming me for everything. But we were civil. Or tried to be.

"The last time I called you told me he was doing overtime too. Wasn't he supposed to be home this week to help you with the party?

"We didn't expect him to be so busy at work."

"That's why I asked if you wanted me to help out," I sigh, running my fingers through my hair.

"Honey bear, I'm fine." My mother finally takes a break from icing to look at me. Oh my god, I cannot get over how cute her short hair looks. "Don't worry, everything's basically done anyway. I just need him to set the tables out back when he gets home."

"I could just-"

"Nope!" she smiles.

"You do so much Mom, I just don't want you to tire yourself out."

"Aw," she sighs happily coming over to give me a hug. I think she got some icing in my hair, but that's fine. "Thank you honey bear. But I'm truly fine. Ever since I cut my hair, I feel like some sort of weight has been lifted off me."

"Like, physically? Because yes."

"Hush you," she says, pinching the back of my neck lightly. "I mean…like a feeling. I'm feeling better. I'm feeling…" She pulls back to look at my face, and I really look at hers. Her skin is glowing and clear, there are no bags under her eyes, and there is no evidence of any recent panic attacks.

"Mom, you look…great. What happened?"

"Nothing in particular," she giggles, and drags me out into the living room. "I've just been thinking about everything, and what I can do as your mom. And decided to try and stop focusing on the things I can't control, and let my boys live their life while I support them with all I have."

She said that with so much strength and warmth I could feel tears start to prick at the back of my eyes. I mean, this was…all I ever wanted from her. All I needed from my mother. "Ma…"

"Oh honey bear, don't cry!" she chuckles lightly, wrapping me in another hug. We were about the same height, so for once my face was not in someone's chest.

"Mom, are you alright? I thought I heard…oh." Sora stops about halfway down the steps, stare fixated on me. "Hey Rox."

How could he possibly sound so normal in this situation? "Sor…"

Mom lets me go. "I'll give you boys some time to chat. Let me know before you leave honey." She then returns to the kitchen.

Sora starts to come down to meet me, but I jog over to him and go back up the stairs. I assume he knows that I'm trying to get some privacy. "Mine or yours?" he asks when we reach the top.

"Yours. Mine is probably musty," I reply.

"Probably not, Mom goes in there regularly to air it out." We enter his room, where his guitar is laying on his bed. He picks it up to put it back on its stand. "What's up?" he plops down as if this was just another regular visit.

"'What's up?' Sor, we haven't talked in like a week. You haven't been answering any of my calls, and every time I come over you just 'happen' to not be here."

"Do you think I've been avoiding you?"

"Are you really about to deny that you haven't been?"

"…no," he replies honestly. He really was too kind for his own good.

"So I'll just say what I came to say then." He sits up straighter on his bed while I try hard to look him in the eyes while I confess this. "I'm sorry. For…a lot things. I'll just list them out." I'm really bad at this, but I'll try. "The first thing I'm apologizing for is not eating any of your apple turnover when you came over to make me eat." He snorts but quickly covers his mouth to remain in serious mode. Which is difficult for Sora. "The second, for bailing on the Hollow Bastion show. I am literally the worst."

"Not the worst," he mumbles. Then louder, "just being ridiculous, which is pretty normal for you."

"Shut up you."

"Isn't there more, mister?" he says smiling.

Urgh. "Um, thirdly for making things awkward and stuff and uh. Um," I stumble.

"Wow, you are still bad at apologizing, huh?" Sora finally laughs, falling onto his back on his bed, legs in the air. Pouting, I jump on his bed and lay over his stomach.

"I was being serious though. I really am sorry."

"I know Roxy," he says. We maneuver so that we can actually see each other's faces. "You are forgiven."

"Good," I sigh. "Two more to go."

"Yuffie and Riku will come around. Actually, I'm pretty sure Riku isn't mad at all. He's probably like me, feeling pretty awkward so unknowingly avoiding you. Have you called them?"

"Yup, and texted. No answers. And tomorrow is the party…" I look at the clock to see its going on 9pm. "Speaking of the party, I wanted to let you know I'm bringing Axel."

"Speaking of the party, I should probably let you know that I'm bringing Riku," he replies.

Oh. Well then. "Guess tomorrow's as good a time as any, then."

"Trust me, he's not as mad as you think."

"How do you know?" I turn over on my stomach.

"I'm not the one he stopped texting."

Ouch, okay. "I just wish we could settle things tonight rather than tomorrow so there's not unnecessary drama."

"These things will happen when they happen."

"Yeah, yeah," I sigh. I roll off his bed and look at his guitar. "What were you playing before you caught me crying in Mom's arms like a baby?"

We chat for a while, jamming out too. Mr. Pearson was back from his vacation, and bless his old heart he let me keep the 2001 off-white Fender that I fixed after Reno dropped it. I kept Fender Bender here, while Oblivion (the one I used for my shows) was at the condo. We go downstairs to have a late snack with Mom since Dad's still not back. I snag some of the cupcakes and they are heavenly.

"Are you going back home tonight?" Sora asks me while we continue to inhale the failed batch that still came out delicious.

"Yeah," I say, not really committed to the idea. "Actually." I take out my phone and text for a minute and glance down the hall to see Mom's door closed.

"What?"

"I might stay at Axel's. Depending."

"Oh, so you guys can sleep early and head over together early tomorrow morning."

I look at him. "Yeah. That's what we'll be doing. Sleeping."

"Gross!" he yells shoving me, and I laugh. "I'm assuming you guys made up then."

"You assume right."

"Good." He smiles sweetly.

My phone pings and I glance down. "Alright, I've got the clear with his Mom. Let me go say bye to our mom."

"Kay, see you tomorrow! And bro-bro!"

"Yup?" I respond walking backwards.

"Happy early birthday!"

I laugh. "You too, ya goof."

After giving my byes to Mom, and sending a text to Cloud about not being home tonight, I wait for Axel to come pick me up. On the drive back to his place I tell him about my night, my mom and Sora.

"Sounds like you've had quite the night," he responds. We ran into his mom who was on her way out to an overnight shift. When we get to his room I immediately sit on his lap.

"You're telling me." I bury my face in the crook of his neck, taking in that lovely Axel smell. "Thank you for quitting smoking. Again."

"Anything for my Roxy," he purrs kissing the top of my head. "The least I can do since you refuse to tell me what you want for your birthday."

"I already told you," I start, then push him down onto his bed. "I just want you."

"And I told you," he says, turning us over so that I'm pinned down instead, "That you already have that."

"I want more then." I pout, looking at him up through my lashes.

"You little devil…" he breathes out heavily. He lowers his head down to my neck, knowing it will immediately drive me crazy.

"Axeeel."

"That's what I like to hear," he purrs back. His hands are roaming all over my body before they reach my chest. He teases my nipples while indulging himself with my mouth, and before long they are taught with pleasure.

"Axel," I moan, nipping at his chest and struggling to get his jeans off. Our shirts were lost long ago during our make-out session.

"Tell me what you want love," he whispers, sliding his hand down my chest and into my own pants.

"I want you," I whine bringing my hips up to meet his.

His hands make quick work of our pants since I was unsuccessful. My eyes shut as his rough tongue travels down my body taking special care at my nipples, all the way down to my cock. "You said that earlier. What do you want now, you gotta be specific love."

This asshole, I am going to kill him later. But for now, I cannot keep a coherent thought while his mouth is doing what it's doing around my member. "Baby, please."

"Tell me Roxy," he demands huskily.

Ahhh, is he doing this on purpose or does he know it turns me on to be ordered around? "I want your dick in me."

"And how do you want it?" he asks, rubbing his own cock while licking up mine. He has started to insert a finger in and out of my entrance slowly, picking up the pace simultaneously with his sucking.

"Ram it into me and cover me in your semen," I moan loudly. I'm out of breath and close to cumming when Axel finally releases me licking his lips, only to turn me over on my hands and knees.

"Good boy," he breathes. I can hear him open a condom, but I back up until my ass is rubbing against his hard and hot member.

"Axel please," I purr.

"Love, I gotta put a condom on-"

"Take me like this, please," I groan heatedly. My hips are suddenly grabbed very harshly and I am filled up completely by Axel's cock. I scream in pleasure as he attacks my prostrate right off the bat, making me cum right away. I slink down onto my arms, covering my face.

"Stay up love, I'm not done with you." I shakily return to my forearms while Axel continues his relentless thrusting. He grabs the back of my hair, not enough to hurt, but just enough to feel absolutely amazing.

"Fuck Axe."

"You like that, huh?" His other hand is gripped tightly to my hips, keeping me in place to ensure that he goes as deep as he can.

"Ah, yes, I love it, yes!"

"You dirty little vixen…" he groans. I feel his chest on my back as his hands leave their previous spots to tease new areas, those being my nipples and penis.

"Axe, no," I moan, not sure how many more times I could cum.

"Yes Roxy, let me see you cum," he whispers next to my ear. Our breaths are getting mingled, and I lose track of what's happening, the pleasure is out of this world.

"I'm gonna come soon," Axel purrs as he sits back up.

"Wait," I manage to breathe, while I turn around without having Axel pullout. Now I can see what he looks like. His face is red and sweat is pouring down his chest. Lips swollen and red marks all over his body, his hair fanning around him brilliantly.

"I like this position most," Axel says in a more sweet than naughty voice. "It lets me see your beautiful face. Though your back is also splendid." His thrusts start back up all of a sudden, making me gasp. "Roxas, I love you so much."

"I, ah, I love you too. I love you," I chant while he speeds up. "Keep going, don't stop."

"I'm gonna come."

"Do it," I gasp.

"But-"

"Pour it in me. Release everything inside me Axel," I moan before he has any more time to protest. I grab the back of his head and bring it down to mine, kissing him roughly while keeping my legs wrapped around his sharp hips.

Suddenly there was a warm flood below, and I groaned in a pleasant feeling I had never felt before. I could feel Axel's groans through his chest to mine as his semen continued to flow into me.

Pulling out finally, he flopped down onto me. He was heavy, but he was so nice and warm too. "Mm, Axel," I hummed, running my fingers through his hair, trying to untangle it where I was grabbing it before.

"Sorry, I'll move in a minute," he mumbles into my neck, making me giggle.

"You're fine. And Axel?"

"Hm?"

"Thanks for an amazing birthday present," I whisper, trying to hold onto my composure before I burst with embarrassment or went back to my usual sarcastic self.

Axel leans over me to look at his bedside clock. "Oh shit, yeah. Happy birthday love."

Ah, was it past midnight already? "You're the first one," I laugh lightly. He rolls over to his back finally, and I follow him, rightfully fitting into my normal spot on his chest.

"Probably not. I'm sure your brother stayed up and texted you exactly at twelve," Axel says.

I think about checking my phone, but I am way too tired and comfortable right where I am, so damn if I'll be moving anytime soon. "Thank you Axel."

"For what?" he asks. My eyes are closed by this point, but I can feel his smile through his aura.

"For everything," I respond.

"Okay, cryptic," he laughs. I snuggle harder and let sleep start to take me. We did have to be up early tomorrow, so this was no time for pillow-talk until the wee hours of the morning. Before I drift completely off, I feel Axel move from under me for a moment, then return. One of my fingers felt really cool as something was slipped onto it, and there was a faint 'happy birthday' before I fell into slumber.
