The Trip Home!
Another chapter for everyone. I don't have anything to do because I sprained my foot and so I am resting after two days of not applying pressure to it. I am so sick of crutches! Well anyway another chapter for the story that I have put on hold for too long.
We were packing everything up for our trip home. I was going through everything to make sure I have the gifts I bought for Sango and Miroku. I got Sango a bracelet and Miroku got this really cool looking necklace. I was placing my things near the door when Sesshomaru came in. "Almost finished? Our plane leaves in four hours." He reminded me. I nodded and then looked at my laptop and seen it charging. I then did a double take of the room to make sure I had everything. I was please that I didn't find anything and then looked at Sesshomaru. "Yep, the only thing left out is my laptop." I said to him and then we made our way downstairs to visit with his parents a little bit more.
Izayoi seemed sad to let her step-son go. I learned that Sesshomaru use to not like his step-mom. He thought that she ruined his life and family. But when he was fourteen he spoke to all three of his parents telling him that he feels he needs to be around his father and have a male he knows around him so he could learn how to control his demon and such. His mother had agreed and Izayoi had been thrilled. I just can't believe that the cold and distant man I work for is the same guy I am seeing doing his step-mom a favor by letting her give him hugs and kisses on the cheek.
I was smiling over the threat Sesshomaru made to me if I ever let it slip that the big bad dog was this puppy that rolls over for him step-mom. It was so weird, but I enjoyed it all the same. InuToshio came up to me and gave me a bear crushing hug. "Now Rin don't be a stranger. We would like to see you again sometime soon." He said to me and then planted a small kiss on the top of my head.
I forgot what it's like to have a dad. InuToshio took me in for a little bit and then he introduced me to Sango and Miroku saying that he met Miroku when he was working a case for him to find the hacker that was hacking Sesshomaru's company. He explained my situation to Miroku and he then told him about his off and on girlfriend Sango. That is when he arranged a meeting with Sango and us three came to an agreement. Until I finished school InuToshio would pay for half the rent and other cost for me. Once that was done then all ties would be severed. He had already burned part of my file saying no one would see what trouble I really caused as long as I was good.
After that kind act I cleaned up my own act and went to college I went through the police academy and passed and then I screwed it up by attacking a guy who killed three young girls I knew when I volunteered at the orphanage. I lost my badge and was told I could never work as a cop again. So I took what skills I had an became what I am now, a home organizer.
"Father no need to worry, you will be seeing Rin at Christmas." Sesshomaru said to him. InuToshio looked between me and his son and smiled. For some odd reason I didn't like that smile. It worried me, a lot! Izayoi gave me a hug as well and was over joyed when she heard I would be back. She had somewhat became my replacement mother. I know I don't have many memories of my birth mother but to have someone who care about me as her own was very nice and special. Even if we have only known each other for a week.
We grabbed our things and got in the limo and drove off. Once we were at the airport Sesshomaru grabbed our bags and once again we were going through security. We made it through and then we waited to be boarded on the flight. Sesshomaru had left saying he would be back and I was just sitting in one of the seats at the gate. I decided to read so I pulled a book out that Izayoi thought I would enjoy. She said I could take it home and return it at Christmas. As I was reading I noticed someone took a seat next to me. I assumed it was Sesshomaru until this said person placed their hand on my leg.
I pulled away from my book to see a very flashing business man. "Can you please remove you hand from my leg and that seat is taken." I said to the man. He didn't seem to care and didn't listen. "Well hello there Sweetheart. What's your name" He asked with a bigger smile. I held back a groan and looked at him. "The name is leave me alone." I said to him. I think he was under the impression I was playing hard to get. "Come on the plane wont be for another fifteen minutes and you and I could get to know each other." He said with a smirk.
I sighed as I placed my book in my lap. "Look your a dick. Why can't guys like you wait to get home to your wives. I mean do I really look the type to be second best for anyone? If you answer that I will break your jaw." I said to him and then grabbed mine and Sesshomaru's things and moves closer to the boarding gate.
Seven minutes later Sesshomaru returned with a bag full of something and then he gave me a questioning look as to why I moved. I shrugged my shoulders and then they announced that first class was able to board onto the plane. Sesshomaru and I stood up and made our way up. Sesshomaru was in front of me and Dick ended up behind me. I huffed when I seen him looking at me and this caught Sesshomaru's attention. We were close to boarding when the guy started talking to me again.
"So what's your seat number? Maybe I can talk your neighbor into switching seats with me." He said stepping closer to me. I clenched and unclenched my fist. Fighting the need to deck this guy for being an ass. Finally Sesshomaru showed the attendant the tickets for us and she let us on. We made our way onto the plane when a man stood up in front of Sesshomaru. "Sir I just want to say to you how lucky of a man you are to have such a rare beauty such as she." Sesshomaru didn't say anything. "You are truly lucky to have a dedicated girl like her by your side." He said and then took his seat.
Sesshomaru didn't correct the man who assumed we were a couple and just pulled me into our seats having me next to the window. "Rin, you better use the bathroom now before everyone gets on board." He said to me. I nodded and did so. I returned after using the bathroom and noticed Dick was already sitting. Sesshomaru stood up and let me into the seats. "Thanks!" I said as I sat down and buckled up.
It seemed as if everyone had boarded and that they were waiting a few minutes to allow those who were running late a chance to get here. Of course that was enough time to allow Dick to find me and smile. "Kill me." I said as he stood up and made his way over. He was a few steps away when the man from earlier blocked his way and told him to leave me alone. Dick wasn't happy but took his seat as he was told. The other man turned around and smiled a sweet non-creepy smile at me. I smiled back and mouthed thank you to him.
"Still wish for someone to kill you?" Sesshomaru asked me. I smiled and shook my head. "What is his deal I mean I didn't do anything to make him come on to me." Sesshomaru looked between me and the man and then he leaned over to me and whispered in my ear so only I could hear what he had to say. "Your fertile." He said and then sat straight up. I felt my face heat up from the blush I had. "What do you mean by that? Do you mean that he is just a dick who cheats on his wife or that I am actually...umm..." I was losing my train of thought.
Sesshomaru sighed and then looked at me. "I mean you are ovulating." He said quietly to give my body some privacy from the other passengers. I knew he was telling the truth because in sex ed. we learned that demons could smell things such as that. There was nothing that could be done about it. Most demons were smart and strong enough to handle the smell and then you had demons like Dick who just wanted to act upon it. We were told that those who try to act upon it are probably a race that was dying out and that they thought that they were doing what is best by impregnating every demon and human they could.
I looked at Sesshomaru for a moment. "I'm sorry." I said to him. He looked at me for an answer to my apology and I looked down. "Well I know in class they say it messes with demons horribly to have to smell a fertile female if they aren't mated. But why is Dick acting this way if he is married?" I asked more myself then Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru looked at me for a moment. "Dick?" He asked. I nodded and then pointed to the guy who wouldn't leave me alone. Sesshomaru seemed to have caught on and nodded. "He is a Antechinus demon." Sesshomaru said to me. I raised my eyebrow and he looked at his paper. "He's a type of rodent." He said to me. "Eww..." I said. This earned me a chuckle from him.
Sesshomaru wrote something down and then spoke again. "His species don't live long. When a male hits thirty years of age he will then find every fertile female that he can and then for about two weeks he will do nothing but impregnate females until he dies." He said. It took all I had not to gag. "That's just so gross." I said to him and then grabbed my book. Before I could even open my book I had to ask. "Does it bother you?" I asked him. Sesshomaru stopped writing but didn't look at me. "I can handle it." He said to me. I sighed. "That's not what I asked." Then I opened my book and started to read.
I was so lost in my book I didn't hear Sesshomaru say my name and so he shook me. I looked up at him. "Rin I will return in a moment." I nodded and he got up heading to the bathroom. I went back to reading my book and looked up when I noticed the man in front of us was asleep. I smiled and went back to reading. Then I noticed a shadow that didn't come from behind but from in front of me. I looked over to see Dick in Sesshomaru's seat.
I went back to my book and ignored him. Then a moment later his hand was on my leg again. "Ya know I don't need guys to be there to protect me. So either you remove your hand or I'll do it for you and you might want to move before..." Dick then lean towards me and kissed me trying to feel me up. I was struggling to get away but for a rodent he sure was strong and I had to way to escape. Everyone in first class was asleep. Dick pulled away from me and smiled.
He then tried to lean forward again and then I balled my fist and had it heading to his face when Sesshomaru pulled him from his seat. I ended up hitting the metal frame that separates the two seats and then cradled my hand. "Leave her alone." Sesshomaru said in a deep and scary voice. "She was asking for it. Plus didn't your mommy ever teach you to share?" He asked Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru growled and looked at the man. "I never share what belongs to me." He said shoving the man away from him.
Dick then turned to look at me. "Don't worry Sweetheart I'll find you when the plane lands and then we can have fun." He said with a wink. I shuddered and then looked away. "I will say this for the last time. I do not share what belongs to me." Sesshomaru said with anger in his voice and his eyes turning red. This was enough for Dick to take a hint and leave for his own seat.
Sesshomaru took his seat and then went back to his paperwork. I was trying to collect myself and take deep breaths as I was trying to work out the pain in my hand. Sesshomaru seemed to have noticed what I was doing and then took my hand into his. "I had hoped you didn't hit it as hard as I thought you did. Seems you proved me wrong." He said and then massaged it. I smiled a little smiled and then concentrated on ignoring the pain and keep from crying. Sesshomaru kept a hold of my hand for the remanded of the flight.
When we landed he told me to keep my hand flat and to not move it as he grabbed our belongings. Then man who was in front of us had learned after he woke up what happened to my hand and he was more then willing to help us in anyway that he could. Sesshomaru assured him he was alright and that he just needed to keep a better eye on me. I glared at him for his comment but said nothing.
Finally Sesshomaru had our bags in one hand I had my computer bag on my left shoulder and Sesshomaru was holding my right hand to keep it in place and not to move it. We made it to the baggage claim and that was when I seen a very small green imp looking thing standing and looking for someone. Then he spotted Sesshomaru. "Oh Lord Sesshomaru!" He said in a excited tone. Sesshomaru seemed displeased with the imp and kept walking. "What do you want me to do My Lord?" He asked Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru sighed and then looked at the bags he had in his hands. He had his computer bag and the bag from the airport. He gave both to the imp. "Jaken retreive the car and have it by the front gates." He said to the imp.
I had never seen such a small creature run so fast. Sesshomaru grabbed his and my suitcases and then we walked to where we would meet the car. The Jaken had the car out front and was holding the keys out. Sesshomaru took them and opened the front passenger door and then guided me into the seat. Jaken held is mouth open in shock as if he just now noticed I was here. Sesshomaru loaded the trunk up and then got in himself. He told Jaken if he didn't want to be left behind then he better get in the car at this moment.
Jaken did as told and got in the back. Sesshomaru started the car and then drove off. "Keep your hand..." He was about to tell me the same thing I knew he would so I cut him off. "In the way I have left it. Yes I know but why? All I did was hit the frame." I said to him as I looked out the window. Sesshomaru sighed and that caught my attention. "Because on the plane I heard some of your bones cracking. Your hand maybe broken." He said to me. My eyes widened and then I started to pout.
Jaken choose this moment to speak up. "My Lord who is this human?" He asked Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru choose not to answer him and kept on driving. "Where are we going?" I asked him. Sesshomaru glanced over at me and then went back to looking at the road. "To the hospital to have your hand looked at." He said and then it was silent for the rest of the ride. "Always me." I said softly.
Well there it is! YAY! I updated a lot sooner. Once again I am sorry I took such a long break from the story I just had so much on my plate that I had to have a break. So yep I think I got about two three chapters left of this story and then I am done. I am thinkin I might do another Sesshomaru, Rin fic and do a high school setting. What do you think? Also I changed rating due to language just to be on the safe side. :) Love you all Dearies!
