What a day. Hoshi thought to himself as he walked into his house.
"I'm home!" He yelled as he walked in.
"Hoshi!" a little girl the age of seven yelled as she ran into him.
"Hello Kiyomi. What are you still doing up?" He smiled.
"I'm too hungry to sleep." She said sadly. Hoshi frowned as he took in the mess in the house, and saw his mother on the couch passed out drunk with an empty shochu bottle in her hand. He handed his takeout bag to his little sister.
"Here you can have my food I'm not hungry." He smiled.
"Nii-chan. What happened to your nose?" she said quietly.
"Oh this ah ha ha I uh fell down." He laughed nervously.
"Are you sure?" She asked suspiciously.
"Yup I'm sure. Now you should eat that pizza before it gets cold." He said trying to distract her.
"PIZZA!" She yelled and ran to her room to scarf down the food. As she slammed her room door shut she woke her mother.
"Didn't I say keep it down! What the hell is wrong with you!" She slurred getting off of the couch.
"And where have you been?!" She yelled throwing the empty shochu bottle at Hoshi." He easily dodged it.
"I've been slaving away at the factory while your out gallivanting in the streets!" She accused.
"Look at my house! It's a wreck! What are you doing to help me out around here!" She yelled.
"Mom your tired let me take you to bed." He pleaded.
"I don't need your help! Your a no good bum just like your father! You even look like him!" she scowled.
"I'm going to bed! You and that damn brat better keep it down!" She yelled as she stumbled up the stairs.
Hoshi looked at his mother sadly. She had taken it hard when his father passed away. And she took to drinking when she found out that he had a mistress and left them without a dime.
Hoshi took a deep breath and cleaned the living room and kitchen until it was spotless. After he was done he went upstairs to get some sleep since he had to be up for school in five hours. He walked into his room and switched on the light, then a hand came over his mouth as he was spun around.
"Mmmmph!" He yelled in surprise.
"Shhhh!" Rose said quietly.
"Didn't your mother say keep it down?" He smiled.
"Now I'm going to let you go, so keep quiet ok." he said.
He released Hoshi's mouth and stepped back.
"Who are you?" Hoshi asked.
"I'm Rose. I'm with Shinji's crew." Hoshi thought back to earlier that day when he was in the hotel room with Shinji and visibly bristled.
"Well what do you want?" He asked suspiciously.
"I'm here to watch you." He replied in a bored tone.
"Aww come on! I'm not going anywhere I just wanna go to bed!" Hoshi whined.
"Then sleep I wont bother you." Rose said.
"How am I supposed to sleep with someone watching me?" Hoshi replied as he pulled his shirt over his head to find his room empty.
"What the-. I'm going to sleep." He moaned as he flopped onto his bed, dozing off quickly. Rose laughed lightly to himself outside of Hoshi's window.
I'll give the poor kid a break. Rose thought to himself.
He's already got enough problems, I'll let him sleep in peace. He smiled as he layed on the roof of Hoshi's house outside his window.

"Nii-chaaaaaannnnn." Kiyomi said, waking Hoshi up.
"Whaa-" Hoshi mumbled and went back to sleep.
"Nii-chan you have to take me to school!" Kiyomi yelled into his ear.
"Gahh! I'm up!" He yelled in surprise making Kiyomi giggle.
"Uhh just wait downstairs I'll be just a minute ok?" He smiled at his little sister as he watched her run downstairs. He went into his closet to get his school uniform. He put his uniform on and bent down to look for his shoes.
"You took them off downstairs." Rose said from Hoshi's windowsill.
"Gahh! You scared the shit outta me!" Hoshi screamed as he clutched his chest. "Where did you go last night?"
"The roof." Rose replied nonchalantly.
"Why- wha-what if someone saw you?!" Hoshi asked.
"NII-CHAN I'M GONNA BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!" Kiyomi yelled up the stairs.
"You heard the lady." Rose smiled.
"Coming Kiyomi!" Hoshi yelled as he ran down the stairs. As he was putting on his shoes he heard his sister's tummy growl.
"Are you hungry Kiyomi?" He asked.
"I can wait til later." She lied.
"Kiyomi it's ok. If your hungry I can get you some food."
"But mama said that I need to stop eating so much cuz I'm wasting money. She said sadly, making Hoshi's heart drop.
"Kiyomi listen to me. Don't worry about money ok? If your hungry I will get you as much food as you want ok?" Kiyomi smiled and gave her brother a bear hug. "Yes Nii-chan!" Hoshi smiled and gave her a pat on the head as they walked out of the house.
"Poor kids." Rose said to himself as he retreated to Hoshi's bedroom.

"Get whatever you want Kiyomi." Hoshi smiled. "And get something for lunch too."
"Yay!" Kiyomi giggled.
"And don't just get candy!" Hoshi scolded when he saw her armful.
"Aww." She whined as she put the candy back. Hoshi smiled at his little sister as she picked out a shrimp bento box for lunch, and got a couple rice balls for now.
"All done Nii-chan!" She smiled. Hoshi paid for the food and walked her to school.
"Be a good girl in school ok?"
"Yes Nii-chan I'll be good." She smiled as she hugged him. Hoshi waved as she ran into the school yard. He smiled as he watched her play with her friends.
"How touching." Kazuko said sarcastically causing Hoshi's smile to drop.
"Are you done being a doting big brother? Because it's been weeks and Love is still with that big ox." Kazuko frowned.
"What do ya need boss?"

"What's up kid?" Shinji answered into the phone.
"How did you know it was me?" Hoshi asked.
"Just tell me what the creep is up to!" Shinji yelled getting irritated.
"Ok. Jeez. He wants me to hire some guys to beat up Chad. He wants them to beat him bad enough to be hospitalized."
"What an amateur, he obviously hasn't done a background check on Chad. You would need an army of fighters to do that much damage. Chad's a fucking machine." Shinji snorted.
"Well what should I do?" Hoshi asked nervously.
"Do what he wants you to. Hire a gang of punks to beat him up. Chad will just kick their asses. This will give us more time to watch this Kazuko creep."
"Well ok. Uh bye?" Hoshi said nervously.
"Ugh by kid." Shinji shook his head.

"So those are the guys?" Kazuko asked as he hid behind a tree with Hoshi.
"Yup that's them." Hoshi replied.
"And they're the real deal?" Kazuko asked with an eyebrow raised.
"Yup that's the Red Dragon gang. Their leader Raiden just got back from jail last week. These guys are really scary that's why they cost so much." Hoshi lied. He told Kazuko that they demanded $1,000 but he really only paid them $500.
"Alright then good job Hoshi. I want them to get him tomomorow after school. But wait until Love starts her shift at the bakery. I don't want any harm to come to my beautiful angel." He swooned.
"Alright boss." Hoshi said as he started to walk away.
"Oh and Hoshi?"
"Yea boss?"
"Get them some blades." He said as he tossed a wad of money at Hoshi.
"B-blades?" Hoshi said nervously.
"Did I stutter?! Yes blades! Sharp ones." He said with a smirk.
"I don think th-"
"I don't pay you to think I pay you to do what the fuck I say now go!" Kazuko screamed.
"Sure thing. Sorry boss." Hoshi said as he walked away. This shit is getting too crazy. He thought as he walked down the street and dialed Shinji's number on his cell phone.

"What's up kid?" Shinji answered.
"The plans changed..."
