"Brie?" Troy asked hearing her get out of bed.
"Yeah?" She called back.
"Are you okay?"He asked getting off the couch and walking into the hallway. She smiled at him, looking at her worried boyfriend.
"I'm fine. I actually feel better." She walked into the kitchen grazing her hands over the mixers that she had. "I miss this." She said looking up at him. He frowned.
"You'll be back in the bakery soon enough." He smirked at her. She smiled grabbing a bowl and filling it with cereal. He walked back into the living room sitting on the couch flipping through some of his reports. He just recently started working from home to take care of her. He highlight a sentence when he heard a loud thud. He looked up and saw that she was nowhere to be found. He shot up quickly running into the kitchen seeing her passed out on the floor. He shot down feeling her pulse, feeling weak one. "Oh god Brie." He said feeling his pants pocket for his cell phone dialing 911.
He sat there in the hospital waiting for the news on his love. He took a deep breath trying to not let this get to him. He waited for her family and for Chad and Sharpay to come. A doctor stepped out.
"Troy?" She asked looking at him. Troy quickly stood up straightening his clothes out. "She had a low platelet count which caused her to pass out. She slipped in a coma, but quickly got out of it. He sighed.
"Will she be alright?" He asked nervously. The doctor frowned.
"I'm not going to lie, her treatment isn't taking. She's getting sicker and sicker. She has a %20 survival rate from now on..." Troy swallowed the lump.
"Okay doctor."
A few hours later he was holding her in his arms. He sighed looking at her soft body rise and fall in his chest. He frowned wiping his tears away.
"Troy." She said barely inaudible.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"When I die, can you promise me you'll find someone else." She said slowly.
"You aren't going to die." He said wiping his tears.
"Promise me?" She asked him looking up at him.
"Promise." He said leaning down and kissing her forehead.
5 years later.
"Daddy!" The little girl shouted. Troy looked up from the boiling pot in the kitchen and looking over to his daughter. Troy smiled.
"Yes?" He called back. She hopped off the couch and ran into the kitchen.
"I'm hungry." She said pouting. Troy chuckled picking her up and placing her on his side, holding her as he stirred the pasta.
"I'm working on it sweetheart." He said kissing her on the forehead. The little girl had long brown hair and bright blue eyes. He loved his three year old more than anything. Well, not anything.
"Okay daddy." She said smiling kissing his cheek. "Is this the Phineas and Ferb box?" She asked looking down at the mac and cheese.
"It's what you wanted right?" He asked placing her down. She ran over to the counter and climbed the chair.
"Yeah daddy!" She said grabbing her crayons and drawing on the color book. He smiled seeing her get so creative. He heard the door open.
"Mommy?" She called out. Troy looked over.
"Yes it's mommy." She said. Troy smiled looking over to Chelsea hop off the stool and run over to the living room. He heard so many giggles come from the living room. His two women walked in the room.
"Mommy brought home cupcakes!" He smiled looking at Gabriella hold their daughter on her hips. She cheered as they walked to the counter. Gabriella smiled.
"Someone never came to pick up their order and we're closed now so." She placed Chelsea in the chair, walking over to her husband. He gave her a soft kiss as she went to the stove.
"Hey, I was working here." He said wrapping his arms around her stomach, feeling a hard kick. "Well I guess he didn't like that." He frowned rubbing her six month swollen stomach. She laughed throwing her head back into his shoulder.
"I don't think he's going to like you." She giggled. Chelsea giggled too, looking up at her parents.
"I like him!" She said quickly.
"I think he likes you too." She said smirking. Troy kissed his wife on the cheek as she mixed the sauce into the drained noodles.
Gabriella rocked Chelsea to sleep in the rocker. She was reading her a bed time story when she passed out and usually rocked her for a good ten minutes before she put her in her bed. Gabriella sighed looking down into her little girls soft face. She had the smoothest skin complexion and the longest eye lashes. She had her little thumb in her mouth as she curled closer into Gabriella's stomach. She felt Noah kick her again, hoping it didn't scare Chelsea. When she started to snore, Gabriella took it upon herself to place her in the bed. She smiled tucking her into bed giving her a kiss. She turned the night light on closing the door. She sighed walking over to her own bedroom with Troy.
To think five years ago that she could never have this opportunity to have a family and live with her husband. She bent down picking a toy up and placing it in the basket. She was on her death bed when all of a sudden something changed and she slowly began to get healthy again. Once she was allowed out of the hopsital a year after her near death experience, Troy proposed. They got married once her hair grew in again, having her have medium length hair for the wedding. Then they enjoyed a year to themselves when they wanted to try for kids. Because of the chemo, it destroyed some of her eggs but she had some saved before then. They tried to conceive naturally but after figuring it wouldn't work, they went in for invetro. Gabriella got pregnant immediately and nine months later Chelsea was born. Three years later, they were surprised to find out that they conceived a child naturally, leading to her now six months pregnant with Noah.
She sighed lying down on the bed, rubbing her stomach. Troy ran from their bathroom in the bedroom jumping on her bed. Gabriella shot him a glare as he just smirked.
"Shaken baby syndrome, hello." She said feeling him kiss her cheek.
"I don't care. Hes safe and secure in there." He smirked against her cheek kissing her again. She closed her eyes stretching.
"I might have to bring Chels with me downtown." She said looking at him. Oh yeah, Angelo's cupcakes now had three locations. Her's downtown is still the main success but she opened a few in the residential suburbs. One in little downtown Riverside where they now lived and one in Oak Lawn. Business was sure booming but there was a few troubles in the Downtown chicago one.
"What time? We can all ride the train up tomorrow."
"Early." She said frowning feeling him kick.
"I felt that one." Troy said rubbing her belly. She smiled. "Hey little mister, why you being a bully to mommy?" He asked kissing her belly.
This was living he thought.
