I do not own any Harry Potter related things.
"Arthur told me he spoke with you," Kingsley began. Harry had just found himself lying outside of Hogwarts in the rain, and Kingsley had welcomed him into the school, offering him a fresh change of clothes and a cup of hot tea. Being back in the school robes while his clothing dried brought fond and terrible memories to Harry's mind. "I told him of the dementors return, and now that you're here, I fear the worst." Kingsley said, snapping Harry out of his trip down memory lane. "What do you mean?" "What's the last thing you remember, Harry?" Kingsley asked, crossing one leg over the other.
"Well," Harry said, remembering back, "I was talking to Josh, and I told him that I knew all about the dementors, and then….." He trailed off, fitting the puzzle together in his head. There must be another portkey in Josh's room, one that took him back to Hogwarts. But where were all the others then? So many members of that church group had those necklaces, and Harry didn't remember seeing any of them on campus for the past week. "The dementors want something with me, but I don't know what." Kingsley wiped his hand over his mouth and sighed. "I was afriad of that. This Josh person, he is not what he seems to be, Harry. We fear he is working with dark forces to take down Hogwarts and all those who call it home."
Harry put his head in his hands and sighed. He didn't know how things had gotten so bad so fast. And he knew that he had always gotten a bad vibe from Josh, so mental high five for calling it right from the start. "So where do we go from here?" Harry asked Kinglsey. But before Kingsley could reply, a scream came from the hallway just outside the room where Harry and Kinglsey were seated. "Did you hear that?" Kingsley asked, but Harry was already on his feet, running towards the sound of the scream. When Harry reached the doorway he saw a young girl, probably only a second year, lying on the floor holding her head. She was crying and there was glass on the floor around her. "What happened here?" Harry asked. The girl sat up, wiping tears from her eyes and gasped. "Y-youre...Harry Potter!" "Tell me what happened here." Harry said again, trying to avoid his fame in lieu of the emergency at hand. "I was just walking to my dormitory when this mirror just...broke." The girl pointed at the wall where a frame hung, glass still clinging to the rim. "Did you see anything before it broke?" Harry asked, examining the young girl's head for injuries as he asked. She had a small cut on her forehead above her left eyebrow, but other than that nothing seemed to be wrong. "There was...a shadow." A voice from across the room answered. Harry and the young girl turned towards the sound of the voice and Harry gasped. "Alice?!" Harry couldn't believe his eyes. It was his girlfriend, standing in Hogwarts like she had belonged there all along. Alice shook her head quickly, as if dismissing a bad thought. "I'm fine, Harry. I followed you here. Josh hit you with something, and I saw him taking you away. I didn't want you to be alone, so I followed you." Harry thought the way Alice was talking was a bit off, but he chalked it up to the shock of being in Hogwarts for the first time and the travel she must have endured. Harry grabbed Alice's hand and drug her back to where Kingsley was now standing in the doorway. "Kingsley, this is Alice. She followed me here. She said she saw something before the mirror broke. What did you say you saw?" Harry looked at her with anxious eyes, hoping that his girlfriend could shed some light on the mysterious happenings around Hogwarts. "Nothing, I didn't say anything." Alice said. "No, no, you said something about a shadow." Harry remembered, she definitely said shadow. Alice tightened her grip on Harry's hand, nearly cutting off the circulation. "I. didn't. say. anything." Harry looked and Kingsley, who seemed to inch away from Alice very slightly. "Ah, Mr. Potter, may I see you for just a moment?" Kingsley looked at Harry like there was something very urgent he had to say and it had t to be right now. But before Harry could respond, Alice was dragging him away. "Come on, Harry. Show me this school. Show me everything." Harry shrugged at Kingsley helplessly and agreed to show Alice around. "Okay, I guess I can show you Hogwarts. It is a pretty amazing place to be. We'll have just enough time to look around before dinner." Harry and Alice walked away from Kingsley, who was shaking his head. "By the tiime he finds out," Kingsley said to himself, "it will be too late."
