Hey guys
Here's the final alternate take on what should've happened in the episode. Last time it was Eddy, and it's Double D in this one; it's because he got humiliated after trying to comfort Eddy and I feel like he should get his revenge too.
Also I don't wanna anyone saying what I did to Rolf was too harsh. Cause of you look back in the final season when they went to school, he used a paddle on a football dummy and said "Rolf will be in need of a new tuchus if papa sees!" when he got a bad report card.
Sorry it looks short or rushed but I didn't want it to drag.
Enjoy!
I don't own Ed Edd n Eddy or the characters
It was such a bad day. Once Kevin found out about Eddy's middle name (Skipper), he made the kid do the most ridiculous tasks in front of all of the other kids, including his two best friends. And after all the embarrassment Eddy had to go through, Kevin still spilled out everything and the other kids made fun of him.
And when Double D revealed his own middle name (Marion) to make his friend feel better, Eddy told everyone and they all mocked him too.
Double D felt the sweat drop from his forehead as the kids laughed at him but the rage inside him grew stronger until he couldn't hold back anymore.
"SHUT UUUUUUUUUPPPP!" He screamed at them.
All the kids, including the other two Ed's, just stood in shock as Double D took several deep breaths. He glared at all of them before storming back to his house and slammed the door.
"What's he doing?" asked Sarah.
Some of the stood at his door and tried to listen but couldn't make out anything. After a few minutes, Double D finally came out and had a stern expression on his face.
"You done crying, Marion?" Kevin taunted and laughed.
"I wouldn't partake in any cruel merriment or comments if I were you Kevin," he began sternly, "cause I just phoned all of your parents and they're coming home right now."
"What?!" All the kids cried out,
"No way! You can't! Why?!"
"Didn't we tell you not to squeal, double dork?" Kevin shook his fist in anger.
"I. Don't. Care!" Double D swatted his hand away, "You should all be ashamed at laughing at me and my friend over something as trivial as a middle name! I have never seen such outlandish behavior in all my years! And frankly, it was quite idiotic of you to force Eddy to humiliate himself and spilling out his secret after promising not to! Whatever punishment you get from your parents is well deserved!"
That's when the jock grabbed the boy by the shirt and shook his fist at him.
"You'd better call it off or ill-" he threatened before he was cut off by a voice.
"Stop right there, mister!"
A hand grabbed the kids fist and held him up, releasing Double D.
"D-Dad?!" Kevin said in horror.
"You're in big trouble, young man!" His dad yelled as he set his son down, "Blackmailing a boy, making him do ridiculous tasks, and spilling his secrets to everyone in the neighborhood?! I am so ashamed of you!"
"I-I can explain!" He tried to say.
"Save it!" The man held his hand up, "You can forget about riding your bike or going to that baseball game next weekend cause you're staying in your room for the next month!"
Kevin tried to protest but the stern glare from his father shut him up fast and was lead back to his home. Some of the kids looked concern except for the two Ed's, who were laughing at the whole scene.
"Ha! Finally, big chin gets what he deserves!" Eddy taunted.
"Looks like Kevin is in trouble, Skipper!" Ed giggles as Eddy glared at him.
"Edward!"
Ed flinched when he turned and saw his angry mother with one hand on her hip while the other hand held Sarah's ear like a vice.
"You're not off the hook either, young man.!" She scolded, "A little birdie told me that you mocked and laughed at both of your best friend's nickname, too!"
"B-But but but-!" Ed stammered.
"No buts mister except yours to your room with no TV, comics, or video games for the next two weeks!"
She used her other hand to grab her sons ear, who started to cry and protest.
"No no!" Ed cries, "M-Mommy! Please! No!"
"It's Ed's fault, mom!" Sarah cried, "Punish him, not me!"
"Hush up, both of you!" Their mother snapped, "I will not hear another word from either of you! You're both grounded!"
The two kids were quiet as their mother dragged them back home while the other parents scolded their kids for their bullying; they all shown up soon after Kevin's dad arrived and heard every detail of what their children had done to both Ed's that day.
"Young lady, I am disappointed in you!" Nazz's mother berated her daughter, "No TV or phone or hair salons for a week!"
"Okay mom…." Nazz slumped.
"You wait until we get home, young shepherd!" Rolf's father glared as he placed a hand on his belt, "You tuchus will be sore for a week!"
Rolf could only gulp as a painful fate awaits him.
"Jonny, you and Plank are in so much trouble!" Jonny's mother wagged her finger at them, "I am so disappointed in you!"
"Sorry mom…" Jonny said dejectedly.
"You just wait until your father gets home, young man!" Jimmy's mother yelled at her son, "You're a bad boy!"
"Eep!" Jimmy shrank where he stood and shook in fear.
Eddy couldn't help but smile as the kids were getting punished and scolded by their parents, who dragged each of them home.
"Well well well," he rubbed his hands, "looks like everyone got what they deserved. Thanks for your help…Marion!"
Eddy laughed as his friend gave a serious glare; but stopped when he heard a familiar voice.
"Eddy! What do you think you're doing?!"
Eddy turned around and saw his mother glaring at him with her hands on his hips.
"Mom?!"
"I can't believe you would yell out that poor boys middle name just so you could feel better!" She berated, "Have you no shame? He's your best friend!"
"You told on me too?!" He turned to his still agitated friend, "How could you, sock head?! You're supposed to be on my side!"
"I'm sorry Eddy," he said with a glare and his arms crossed, "but I am not happy that you shamed me in front of everyone after I tried to help you feel better! I am most disappointed in you as a friend!"
"Why you little-" Eddy was about to charge when his mother stopped him.
"That's enough mister!
"Hey it's not my fault!" Eddy yelled in protest, "Kevin started it! He made me do a bunch of stupid stuff so he won't tell my dumb middle name and he goes and blabs it anyway! It's his fault, not mine!"
"That's no excuse for betraying your friends like that, young man!" His mother berated, "However, since you had a rough time with Kevin and the others today, we'll only give you a three day grounding. But you'll get no TV or allowance for the next week."
"What?! That's so unfair!" Eddy yelled.
"Watch your tone, young man, or I'll extend your grounding to a month!" She yelled back and pointed to the house, "Now march!"
Seeing no point in arguing anymore, Eddy stomped his way home grumbling the whole way, with his mother following behind. Double D took a moment to relax as soon as the others had all gone home.
"Oh well." Double D sighed, "I hated to do that but some lessons had to be learned the hard way.
Double D went home and took a nice relaxing bath to calm his nerves.
Later that night, almost all of the kids in the cul-de-sac were confined to their rooms for their punishment and the only way they could communicate was through some cans connected to string.
"Nazz? You there?" Kevin asked first.
"I'm here, Kevin." She answered.
"Me and Plank are here too!" Jonny said.
"Rolf is here." The shepard boy said dejectedly.
"H-Here…" Jimmy whimpered.
"Me too." Sarah sadly added before getting loud, "I can't believe Double D snitched on us again! This is all those Ed's fault!"
"Now Sarah," the other girl said, "we all made fun of them for their middle names."
"Plank said we should've stopped when we had the chance." Johnny added, "He also said it was all Kevin's fault, not the Ed's."
"What?!" Kevin shouted, "How is it my fault?"
"Well….you did say you wouldn't tell Eddy's middle name if he did all that stuff for you." Jimmy spoke up meekly, "And then you said it anyway…."
"Huh?"
"Rolf agrees with sniveling crybaby." Rolf said before wincing, "Now the son of a shepherd's posterior hurts like a dozen needles!"
"Mom said Ed and I grounded with no dessert, playing, or cartoons!" Sarah said.
"And because of that, mom won't let me get that perm she promised." Nazz added.
"Okay okay, I get it!" Kevin sighed in frustration, "I shouldn't have done what I did. I won't make fun of their middle names anymore. I'll admit, it was a dumb idea in the first place. Dad even took away my bike to teach me the importance of keeping my promises."
"Yeah. No kidding." They all said.
Everyone all agreed on what has happened and talked for a little while before eventually called it a night before getting into anymore trouble.
For a while, the neighborhood was quiet cause the kids were still grounded. Kevin wasn't allowed to play or for sports for about a month; Jonny and Plank stayed in their room for a couple weeks; Rolf couldn't sit for a week and had to do extra chores under strict supervision; Nazz wasn't allowed to use the phone or go anywhere for a while; Jimmy was scolded badly and not only did extra chores but wasn't allowed any sweets or candy for a long time; Sarah and Ed weren't allowed to leave their rooms and had no tv, comics, or anything for two weeks; and Eddy had a lighter sentence cause he was bullied but was still punished for little while for mocking Double D's middle name.
From that day on, the kids never made fun of any of the Ed's middle names ever again.
(The End)
