Credit goes where credits due, and I own none for the characters in this bit of whimsy. All the respect in the world to Rumiko Takahashi and the astounding amount of creativity that went into the masterpiece that is Inuyasha.


Rin left, and the man gestured for Kagome to have a seat on one of the two leather chairs that sat in front of his desk. He took his seat again. "Has she debriefed you?" Kagome nodded in return. He did the same. "What makes you think you're qualified to be my secretary?"

She pitched a line she'd given a thousand times before. "I've worked in multiple fields. I've been a secretary twice before- once as an intern for my uncles dentists office, and once for Kagura Fashions magazine." She reached across the desk to put her resume and the letters of recommendation in front of him. "I don't mind odd jobs, I'm punctual, I'm a peoples person and I'm an extremely fast learner."

The stoic expression remained, but his voice had something new in it. She couldn't tell what it was. "My niece seems to be infatuated with you."
