Credit goes where credits due, and I own none for the characters in this bit of whimsy. All the respect in the world to Rumiko Takahashi and the astounding amount of creativity that went into the masterpiece that is Inuyasha.

Kagome's heart was pounding in her chest as she picked a white silk blouse out of her closet and pulled it over her head, tucking it into the waist of her black pencil skirt. She pulled her hair behind her head, pinning it there with a large black pin, and spun around to face the mirror, nerves eating away at her insides. Would he like her? Would she mess up?

She shook her head clear for a minute, puckered her lips and added a layer of gloss, and admiring the finished product. She would do her best, like she always did. That would have to be enough.
