Credit goes where credits due, and I own none for the characters in this bit of whimsy. All the respect in the world to Rumiko Takahashi and the astounding amount of creativity that went into the masterpiece that is Inuyasha.
"You could be nicer, you know," Kagome mused as she entered the office later that day. "If you didn't make him so nervous, he probably wouldn't keep making the same mistakes."
Sesshomaru didn't look up from his work. "This is a place of business where people are paid a lot of money to work around nerves and under pressure. He must learn."
Kagome began the tedious task of placing his books back on the shelves. "Your way just upsets him."
This time, he did look up. Their eyes met. "Are you suggesting that you could do better?"
Without thinking, "Absolutely."
