Ten years later

Elias is chopping wood for his fireplace. He doesn't have a shirt on, showing the massive scar on his back. It's shaped like wings. Giving him the title as The Guardian Angel. His body has become buffed due to hard labor.

Gascon's wife approaches him. "Good morning, Elliott."

"Good morning, Wendy. How are you doing?" He smiles.

"I'm doing as well as an old lady would be." She giggles. "I see you're doing well. You haven't aged not one bit."

He laughs. "That's just my beautiful genes keeping my youth." He becomes serious. "How's the old man holding up?"

She casts her gaze down. "He's holding on. He wishes to see you."

"How surprising. I was about to head there with stacks of wood for your home."

"How thoughtful! I'm sure he will be pleased." Elias puts on his white shirt and picks up the items to head over to her home.

Upon entering the home, they make their way to his bedroom, where he is currently laying in bed. He opens and a smile spreads across his face. "I didn't expect you to stop by."

"Well of course. Gotta see how my old man is doing. " Elias says.

"I will prepare lunch for the both of you." Wendy says, while grabbing the wood and leaves them alone.

"How are you holding up?" Gascon asks.

"I'm doing good. Although, I should be asking that to you." He sits on his bed.

"I'm doing well! Still have some life left, before arriving at the Gates of Heaven." He lets out a hearty laugh, before coughing uncontrollably.

"Don't overdo it, old man. Don't want you leaving so soon yet."

He clears his throat. "Such is a burden of being human. But look at you. You may still look the same as you've arrived, but you have grown to be a redeemed man."

Elias huffs. "I don't know about that. I'm sure if I exposed myself, I would be killed on the spot."

"Redemption is not about making right to others, but yourself. If they don't see that, may the Dark Mother drag me into her embrace."

Elias smirks. "Careful. She might take you up on that offer." They both laugh.

Wendy peeks through the door. "Pardon for the intrusion. There's a girl here asking for you, Elliott."

A girl in white sundress enters. She has long blue hair tied into a ponytail. Her striking features are her amber eyes and small devil wings. She smiles upon seeing him and hugs him. "I finally found you, Uncle Elias!"

"Uncle?" Gascon asks.

"Elias!?" Wendy is surprised upon hearing the news.

Elias shoves her off. "You got me confused. I may look like him, but I'm Eliott. Just a typical human." He tries to bullshit.

"But you're Elias! Daddy told me everything about you."

He puts it all together. "So he decided to be a father." He thinks for a moment. "Who's your mother?"

"Mommy Alipheese." She answers innocently. He cringes upon hearing that name.

"Of course." He sighs. "Why are you all the way down here, instead with that harl-your mother?" He corrects himself.

She casts her gaze down. "She's been busy trying to look for Daddy."

"I'm sure he must be sleeping around somewhere in the world." He hand waves her as he stands. "Excuse me. But I have to go back home." He leaves the house. The girl follows him outside.

"Could you help me look for him?" She asks.

"Listen brat, I'm not who you think I am and I would rather not get involved. Pretty sure your…mom will find him." He keeps walking, but she grabs his arm.

"But mommy has been looking for him for weeks. And daddy said if something were to happen to him, to find my uncle for assistance."

He yanks his arm. "How very flattering he would consider me as family. Which I'm not! Now go back to your castle!" He says his peace as he reaches for the door and slams it shut. He takes a deep breath. "He'll be fine. I would be extremely disappointed that he who slayed God would be taken down so easily."

"Which is why we must find him!" He turns to see the girl sitting on the dinner table.

"How did you get in here!?"

"I teleported." She says nonchalantly.

"Well, teleport back home and get out of here!"

"He did say you were grouchy." She giggles.

"He should've also added that I want to be left alone!" He goes to serve himself coffee.

"So you don't deny you're Uncle Elias?"

"Listen very closely this time, you little shit. I will not work with your mother to find daddy getting sucked dry in an alleyway."

"She doesn't know I'm here. He told me to keep it a secret. And I love secrets!" She playfully sways her legs.

"Then why are you worried? He defeated me, the God of Light himself and my army. Why not ask your aunties about it?" He takes a sip.

"They already did. Even asked Auntie Micaela to help look in Heaven and he's nowhere to be found." She starts sniffling.

"If that's the case, I don't know how I can help in any way." He sips once more.

The girl becomes serious. "The Six Ancestors have awakened."

Elias chokes on his drink. "What!? How is that possible!?"

"I heard from mommy and aunties that monsters have been sacrificing in order to break the seal. And they've succeeded in summoning some of them." She explains.

Elias is now starting to understand the severity of the situation. "I'm guessing Luka went to investigate and disappeared."

She nods. "I'm worried that they did something bad to him." She starts crying.

Elias out the window. He remembers the failsafe of the seal. If there's a mass genocide of monsters, then the seal is broken. And they're not going to be friendly. He learned first hand how isolation can twist even the most noble person. And if they all successfully escape, there's no telling the chaos they would unleash to the world. He looks back at the crying girl. "I'll check up on these problems. But only to prevent the seal from being broken."

The girl perks up and runs to hug him tightly. "Thank you, Uncle Elias!"

"All right all right. No need to get physical." He lightly pushes her away. "I'll pack my things and head over to San Elias. And from now on you will address me as Eliott."

"Okay, Uncle Elliott." She nods excitedly.

"What's your name, kid?"

"It's Neris."

"Neris? And I thought I sucked at naming." He chuckles. He prepares a backpack for the both of them with all the necessary equipment for the trip.
