The cold wind had picked up, howling in the grounds with a ghostly sound: the spar had begun.

The wind was blowing eerily towards both Kiba and Naruto's direction, causing Naruto to shiver. It was unusual for this kind of weather in Konoha, but 'It can't be perfect everyday' the blonde thought. He steadied himself and got into position to launch an offensive against the Inuzuka, as Kiba was already charging towards him.

Naruto charged in response, speeding towards Kiba while launching multiple Shuriken in a bid to overwhelm the dog-nin. He forbade himself from using the Rasengan, however, as that, he thought, was far too dangerous a technique for use in a friendly spar.

"Heh, try dodging that." the blonde thought confidently, believing his high-speed and accuracy would be sure to put an end to this spar within record time. Kiba somehow dodged the perfectly aimed Shuriken with supernatural ease, almost teleporting sideways, much to the surprise of the blonde.

However it wasn't Kiba's super-human speed that shocked Naruto the most, but the first offensive the Inuzuka made - 'Secret Inuzuka Style: Shredding Fang over Fang'.

This was an advanced technique only thought to have recently been taught to Kiba by his mother, Tsume; It creates a powerful vortex that shreds the target to pieces in most cases. It is rarely used by the Inuzuka Clan due to its S-Class rating, which only made it viable typically as a weapon of war. The technique was definitely not fitting for a simple spar, shocking Naruto.

Naruto barely managed to evade the deadly vortex, even whilst using his incredible Sage Mode speed. He certainly weren't happy with its use, and planned on letting Kiba know that. Naruto bellowed to Kiba:

"Why the hell did you use that on me?! You could have killed me!"

"You got what you deserved. Always thinking you're so high and mighty... you needed a reality check to realize that you're not as strong and powerful as you think you are! You think you can get who you want when you want but that's about to change!" Kiba shouted, sounding very much out of character as Kyuubi's noticed.

'Who you want... when you want?' the blonde thought, bewildered to why Kiba would say such a thing.

"Hmm he's not normally this much of an aggressive teme, and that's saying something. Be careful Kit, something doesn't feel right here..." Kyuubi notified Naruto.

Naruto decided it best to continue on with the spar instead of getting into a blazing argument, as per his plan to figure out why Kiba was acting so volatile. He created a shadow clone and launched it through the air much like a human missile, with its intended target the ground before Kiba's feet, surprising the dog-boy.

Little did Kiba know was that Naruto had in fact infused the clone with Kyubbi's chakra; it could sense malice, signs of manipulation and ill-will within the impact radius. So although Kiba thought Naruto merely missed him, he was being scanned and analysed all along.

Naruto and Kyuubi done this to try to figure out the cause of Kiba's aggression somehow, but they were... disturbed, with what they found out. The blonde's eyes opened in shock as he realized that Kiba was in fact -

"Die!" Kiba roared with his claws showing, only meters away from raking the blonde.

"Release!" Naruto shouted at the attacking brunette, completely shattering the malicious intent and manipulation that controlled Kiba with a controlled burst of chakra directed at his chakra network.

Kiba dropped to the ground and began to look faint. Naruto knelt beside the bewildered dog-nin, supplying some of Kyuubi's chakra to help him regain full consciousness.

"K-Kiba, are you alright?" Naruto worriedly said, hoping the Jutsu he was under didn't have any side effects.

"I'm, I'm fine... w-what happened?" Kiba said wearily, almost like he was awoken from a deep slumber.

Naruto didn't know how to answer that question, as he didn't know what was going on in the first place. He knew that right now Kiba had to rest.

"We'll talk about this later but for now you need some rest, lets bring you back home."

Naruto picked Kiba up gently after the dog-nin gave a nod of understanding, and carried him bridal-style over the village rooftops towards the Inuzuka estate. If that situation in the spar wasn't to have occurred, and the seriousness of the atmosphere wasn't so high, then Naruto would be blushing madly at holding Kiba. However after such disturbing findings of Kiba probably being possessed, there wasn't enough time for ditsy behaviour.

"Kit, what are we going to do with this?" Kyuubi may had been a primeval demon, but she didn't know everything about the always changing Ninja world, she was curious to see what her Kit was thinking of the situation.

"Kyu, I really don't have a clue... who the hell would want to possess Kiba?"

"I could only decode two things from that chakra during the fight, and that is the user of the controlling Jutsu was quite good at Genjutsu, or at least had some skill and training with it. And it's obvious to say that there was malicious intent, after all he did try to kill you." Kyuubi replied with relative confidence.

"But surely you could link it to a certain shinobi then?"

"No kit, I can tell you the chakra nature, form and emotions held within it, but I'm not a machine made to print out entire chakra signatures!" The fox gnarled.

"Damn it! How can we be left in the dark with this?.." Naruto murmured. "Wait, did you say you can sense emotions within it?" he added with hope.

"I've already told you kit, I sensed malicious intent within the Jutsu." she barked, annoyed with having to repeat herself.

"But it's impossible to have only one emotion at once. There must be something else we can go on Kyu, try analyzing it again!" Naruto begged - hoping to find another lead in the occurring mystery.

"Fine! By Kami, Kit, you ask too much of me sometimes!" Kyuubi growled.

Kyuubi was in the midst of investigating the chakra that still eerily flowed from Kiba's body, as he had only recently been released from its control, so traces were luckily still there.

Naruto had eventually arrived at the Inuzuka compound, and it was 1pm, so he could put Kiba in his bed under the guise that he was napping, maybe. The blonde felt a twang of pride for his seemingly "smart" logic, which Kyuubi made no efforts of inflating any further.

Naruto leaped up to a tree and jumped across to reach Kiba's bedroom window, which he knew well due to him having stayed over multiple times when they were kids; the house having the exact same design as it did before the Invasion of Pain.

He quietly slid the window open, thanking Kami that It wasn't a small window, as that would've made his job far harder. Especially so if he had to go through the main entrance with Kiba's raging mother, Tsume, confronting him holding her knocked out son; which was capable of even scaring Kyuubi.

But Naruto shook the nightmarish thought from his mind and climbed through the window, then gingerly crept through Kiba's room towards his double-bed, while also taking in the intoxicating aroma of Kiba; it was now hard for him not to blush after realizing just where he was and who he was carrying by then. Kiba's room was clearly his natural habitat: it was full of dog-related items and trinkets; including a doggy bean bag, puppy duvet-set and even a toy plush puppy that sat on his pillow, which looked surprisingly like Akamaru.

'Oh crap, Akamaru!' Naruto thought, as coincidentally, Akamaru was sleeping by the foot of the bed.

Naruto had no problems with Akamaru, but the fact that he is holding the dogs weakened master and crept through the window could quite easily cause Akamaru to bark instinctively at the him - invoking the wrath of Tsume herself.

Naruto and Kyuubi both shuddered, but had to keep on otherwise Akamaru would wake up eventually while they were still there. The blonde cautiously tip-toed to the right-side of the bed and gently placed Kiba in the bed and pulled the duvet over him, to make it look as natural as possible. He looked down to him for the last time before leaving, and his feelings for the brunette came back fully.

"Get some rest, Kib" The blonde whispered.

Naruto began to creep away from the bed towards the window. '

"Well, that could have gone worse!"

*OINK*

Naruto stared in horror as he lifted his foot, and saw that he had stood on one of Akamaru's squeaky toys, which was similar to Shizune's pet pig, Tonton. Naruto's shocked gaze went over to Akamaru and he saw that the white beast was beginning to arise from its daytime nap.

"Oh crap, gotta go!" inner Naruto screamed as he jumped through the window, hearing Akamaru barking madly after him. He ran for what felt like hours in an adrenaline rushed escape, fearing that Tsume would be hot on his heels.

-Huff, Huff, Huff-

Naruto breathed heavily as he was finally back in the town center, clearly out of breath from his fast escape from the Inuzuka compound.

"Kami, that was close Kyu!" Naruto said with utmost gratification that he got away.

"Naruto you Idiot! Next time look before you tread as you could have got us killed and maimed by Tsume!" Kyuubi growled.

"Well... all that matters is we got away!"

"But anyway, what other emotions did you get from the Chakra?" Naruto asked with anticipation, hoping to get out of the dark on the mystery of Kiba and his possessor.

"Kit, It was Jealousy."
