Chapter 21: No Hard Feelings

Lucy POV

The walk back home was silent but peaceful. Despite my pleading for him to put me down, Laxus insisted that he carry me home. After a few minutes of arguing, I gave up and simply snuggled into his chest, which caused me to let out a contended sigh while Laxus smiled down at me. As we were walking, I couldn't care less about all of the looks that the people were giving us as we walked. Some looked at us and smiled, while others looked at Laxus weird for carrying me like that. From the way Laxus was smiling at me, I would guess that he also didn't care about the looks that we were getting.

After the walk back home, Laxus opened the door and we walked in. He carried me to the couch and set me down. He was going to release me, so I hooked my arms around his neck and pulled him in. "Stay…"

Laxus smiled at me before leaning down and planting his lips on mine. The kiss was soft and gentle at first, but after a few seconds, the kiss became deep and passionate. When I felt Laxus licking my lips with his tongue, asking for entrance, I smiled and opened my mouth, before letting out a soft moan from the intense way Laxus was kissing me. Because of lack of air, we were forced to part.

We looked at each other and before Laxus could say anything, I pulled him back for a second short kiss. Once we separated, I said, "Spend the night with me…"

Laxus looked surprised and said, "Are you sure? Don't you want to wait a little longer?"

I shook my head and pulled him into a deep kiss. After we separated, I said, "I've waited too long. I've loved you for a long time now Laxus. I just didn't realize it until recently."

Laxus smiled down at me and said, "I love you too. Truth be told, I think I've loved you since the moment I saved you. I kept telling myself that I was just worried about you because of the condition you were in, but deep down, I know I helped you because I was in love with you. Now that I have you, I won't be letting go."

I smiled and then pulled him down for another soft kiss. The kiss quickly turned deep and passionate, our two tongues battling for dominance, with his tongue easily overpowering mine. As he was dominating my mouth and I was letting out soft moans, Laxus picked me up and led us to his room. After closing the door, he layed me down on the bed, before getting on top of me. He looked down at me and grunted in disapproval. "Too many clothes…"

I let out a small squeal as he pulled my top off of me before he began to plant kisses on my neck. I let out small moans but then let out louder ones when Laxus began to massage my right breast. Timeskip to Morning

As I woke up the following morning, I smiled at the fact that Laxus was laying down next to me, staring at me with eyes full of love. "Morning Laxus. How long have you been awake?"

He smiled and said, "Only about an hour. It was nice to see how you smiled in your sleep. Now come on, get ready. I'll prepare breakfast."

I blushed at his comment but got up to get ready. After taking a nice hot shower and changing into a new set of clothes, I walked to the kitchen, where I saw Laxus preparing some pancakes. "That smells delicious. I wouldn't think of you as a cook."

Laxus laughed a little at my comment but then said, "Yeah, well when you're an S-Class, you have to learn to cook, since you'll spent a lot of time out on the wild, where you can't simply buy your own food."

After breakfast, I washed the dishes while Laxus got ready. Once we were both ready, we headed out to the guild.

When we entered, everyone turned to greet us, but then returned to their own business. Laxus and I began to head towards where Sting and the others were when Sting got up and wrapped his arms around me. "Congrats Blondie! I heard about what happened yesterday!"

Before I could get a word in, he wrapped his arm around Laxus's shoulder and said, "You make sure you take care of Blondie here! Wouldn't want her to get sad when Minerva kills you!"

I laughed at his comment and Laxus's face but then got mad when I remembered what he said, "Hey! Don't call me blondie! You're blonde too!"

He waved off my comment and I turned to see Rogue looking at me. He gave me a brief nod and said, "Congratulations Lucy."

I nodded at him and then turned to see Orga. Immediately, I began to feel bad, because of how I had left him yesterday. Instead of being mad at me though, Orga simply walked up to Laxus and said, "Take good care of her, because otherwise you'll have to answer to me."

Laxus stared at Orga back and said, "It's not like I need you to tell me that. Of course I'll take care of her, though I doubt you could take me on."

Orga smirked and said, "Is that a challenge Dreyar?"

"Only if you're not too chicken Nanagear…"

Before the two could head off to fight, Minerva walked up and after receiving a brief hug from her, she said, "No fighting. Today, we find out who will be a part of Team Sabertooth for the Grand Magic Games."

Both Laxus and I looked at them confused and before they could continue I said, "Grand Magic Games?"

Rufus nodded and said, "It's a large competition where different guilds choose a team to represent them and compete against each other to determine the number one guild in fiore, not to mention a grand prize of three million jewels for the guild."

Before I could say anything else, Master Jiemma walked out and said, "Alright, listen up! I will now announce the people representing Sabertooth in the Grand Magic Games. Sting Eucliffe, Rogue Cheney, Minerva, Laxus Dreyar, and Lucy Heartfilia. Rufus Lohr, Orga Nanagear, and Yukino Argento will be reserves. Fight hard and bring honor and glory to Sabertooth."
