They hadn't had a movie night in a long time.

Though Mob wasn't sure if this counted since none of their friends were there. Everyone was either still hiding or Mob was hiding from them…but they were still friends. They must have been. Because otherwise…Mob didn't think that she would be able to handle what the 'otherwise' was…even though she and Minegishi were probably in the 'otherwise' category and…and she didn't want to think about that right now.

Right now all she had to think about was what movie she wanted to watch.

"So you just think of what you want and then put your piece of paper in the hat and then that's it." Said Mob as she passed around a big piece of construction paper and some markers. She didn't think that Mukai would have been alright with them using her stuff but it was the only paper that Mob had in her apartment. Well, she could have always borrowed some of Sho's paper but he had special drawing paper and she didn't want to waste it.

He was going through enough already without her wasting his special drawing paper.

"This is how you guys pick out movies?" asked Ritsu as he tore off a piece of construction paper and passed it on to Sho. A pink marker was shoved into his hand. This was…well, at least it wasn't like trying to pick a movie with Mom and Dad. They had to scroll through practically everything in Netflix's whole library before giving up and picking something that they'd seen already…but it could have been worse. He eyed Teru wearily. Teru didn't seem to notice as he uncapped his marker.

Ritsu didn't care if he won this weird movie hat game, he just wanted Teru to lose.

"Yes, this way it's fair for everyone." Said Mob as she finished passing out paper and markers. She hoped that this didn't turn into a fight, some movie nights did, like when Shimazaki tried to pick-she looked down at her piece of paper. Things had been nice before but this was now and right now she was with her boyfriend and brothers and…and this was what was happening.

"It's a good idea, Shigeko. Now all I have to do is think of something." said Teru as he scooted in closer to her. Something was wrong, or maybe he got the feeling that something was wrong, or maybe he just wanted something to be wrong so he could have had an excuse to get closer to her. He didn't like it, being apart from her, just like he didn't like the fact that he wanted to be near her all the time, because he just…he focused on what he was doing.

They were together now, that was what mattered.

"Don't pick anything weird, or with subtitles." Said Ritsu

"When have I ever picked anything weird? Though of course you're definition of weird is anything that hasn't been released in that new theatre downtown." Said Teru

"The thing where only the balloon was in color, the thing where the guy turned into a walrus, the thing where it all turned out to be a dream that the evil twin's ghost was having-" said Ritsu

"Hey! Come on, you cannot tell me that you saw that coming." Said Teru

"If this is the same movie I'm thinking of then Shimazaki could have seen that coming." Said Sho. Teru looked at him like he was crazy…what? After you'd seen one Evil Twin movie you'd seen them all.

"I doubt we have the same taste in movies." Said Teru with a shake of his head. Sho looked like he had even worse taste than Ritsu, probably only blockbuster movies or those dumb movies where it was just a show cut down to ninety minutes.

"Evil Twin 4: The Dreamening." Shrugged Sho. Teru looked at him like he was surprised Sho even knew what a movie was….what? He did other things besides draw. Like play videogames that weren't FIFA. So really, Teru had no room to go talking about taste or whatever.

"You're not the only one who with a Netflix account." Said Ritsu

"I never said-" said Teru

"I'm sure whatever you pick will be good…even if it's a scary movie." Interrupted Mob. She wasn't sure if Teru and Sho would have fought but she didn't want to risk it. This was supposed to be fun so that was what they were going to do, have fun.

"I won't put a scary movie, I know how you feel about that stuff." Said Sho

"No, no, it's alright. I mean you've had a day and yesterday was hard for you too." Said Mob. Sho gave her a long look.

"I've had a hard…we had to dig you up out of the GROUND." Said Sho

"I don't remember how I got there so it's not that bad. Not as bad as what happened with you and…and Mom." said Mob. She forced herself to focus on the people around her and not the people the weren't there…not the person who had always been there…not the person who she had years ago given up wishing was there…not the person who…who…

Not the person who obviously had no interest in being her Mom, or Sho's Mom, and who she had nothing to say to anyway.

"And before that you fought the boss…your father. Supposedly the most powerful esper in the world." Said Teru. He was never going to be able to get that out of his head, the image, the memory, and the…just the feeling of it. Of her power, of her aura, against his. Of the way his heart was pounding. Of the cold and the darkness and then the light and the heat…it was so much and she…she just…

She didn't seem phased at all.

"Obviously Dad isn't the most powerful esper in the world if Big Sis beat him." said Sho, rolling his eyes. He didn't get it. How could people think that Dad was anything but a loser? He had lost and therefore he was a loser and therefore he deserved to be chopped up in a government lab or whatever they did to guys who tried to take over the world.

"But that's over now and, anyway, it's in the past so it doesn't really matter that much." Said Mob quickly.

"Didn't you almost die?" asked Ritsu

"I…maybe? I mean I didn't have a body for a while but it wasn't like I turned into a spirit. It was more like….kind of like astral projection, kind of, but not…" said Mob, her hair standing up. She couldn't help it, her powers were doing that, even though with her hair this short she looked like Sho. She focused on trying to get it to stay down, on not thinking about what happened, on focusing on what was happening now. She had Teru, she had her little brother…brothers. She had two of them and when Mukai stopped hiding she would have her little sister too and…and this was what she had always wanted. What she had always wanted but never realized that she wanted.

Just to be with people who loved her and who she loved right back.

"She doesn't have to talk about it if she doesn't want to." Said Teru, taking her hand.

"I don't really care, I mean it happened and now it's over, and now we're all together and we can be happy now and forever, too." Said Mob

"Infinite movie night….I like it. Just the four of us sitting together and watching movies until the day we die. Then our spirits can haunt this room watching movies until the end of time." Said Sho as he leaned against Ritsu's side. Just him and Ritsu, together, forever…well, him and Ritsu and Big Sis and Teru…but that was alright. As long as he had Ritsu he was happy. He wasn't ever going to leave Ritsu and Ritsu wasn't ever going to leave him and fuck people who left the people they loved.

"Well, no, I mean we have to sleep and eat and stuff, I just meant that now that we're all together this can be what life is like. Forever." Said Mob

"Just everyone sitting around and hanging out?" asked Ritsu. Shigeko nodded.

"Forever." Said Mob. Ritsu was smiling but she got the feeling that he wasn't someone who smiled very often…or at least not lately. He had been through a lot, they all had, but now it would all be ok because they could be like this forever. Together. Friends. Like how things had been before with her old…with her other friends…when things had been so nearly perfect…before she had messed everything up.

"But what about…" said Teru. He didn't know how to finish that sentence. School was closed until further notice, and even if it hadn't been she didn't go to school, and no school meant no soccer, and since he was with her he didn't have to worry about dates, and since Ritsu was here he didn't have to worry about hanging out with him…and the whole 'fake dating' thing was done with…and Reigen didn't really need him. No, he was probably happy to have gotten his apartment back. Now he would have more room and he could smoke all he want and eat all the junk food he wanted even though he was taking years off of his life and ruining his skin…but he didn't need Teru taking care of him and Teru…he had been on his own before…

Not that he was on his own now. He couldn't be on his own, not when he had her.

"What about what?" asked Mob

"Just…nothing, nothing. Whatever you want to do is fine. I mean you are the President…the boss, after all." said Teru. She was the one in charge of all of this, wasn't she? Even if she wasn't acting like it right now. She could have, if she had wanted to, make him do anything…but she wasn't like that. Coming here had been the right choice because Claw was different. Because she was different…and she was his.

"We can do other things, too! I mean if you want to, it's not just about what I want, that's not a healthy way to start a relationship and if I was bossy like that then you'd want to leave and then we'd end up divorced or you'd just run away like my mom-" said Mob

"If he tries to run away I'll kill him." said Sho. He locked eyes with Teru. Teru, at least, had the decency to look scared. Good. Sho wanted to scare him. No way was he letting this guy smash Big Sis's heart. No way was he letting this guy act like Mom…fuck Mom.

"Sho, no. No killing people, it's not nice." Said Mob

"What if I just beat him up until he can't move?" asked Sho. Big Sis shook her head. Ritsu raised an eyebrow. Teru just looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there.

"No, that's not alright either." Said Mob. She could feel Terus aura. He was scared. She would have to talk to Sho later. This wasn't alright. Teru was his friend now, and when they got married Sho and Teru would be brothers, and this wasn't the way that family was supposed to treat each other…at least that was the feeling she got. Her family had never been that good at being a family.

"What if I just beat him up a little bit, then? Just enough that he coughs up blood?" asked Sho

"No beating people up." said Mob

"What if I asked Shimazaki to do it? I mean it's kind of his job." Said Sho

"No, no, no. Don't ask Shimazaki to do anything." Gasped Mob. She tucked her head down low. He came when people were talking about him. She waited for the usual shift in the energy around them…thankfully it didn't come.

"Teru can be kind of…Teru but you don't have to kill him. Just hide his lotion." Said Ritsu. He didn't know what she was freaking out about, it wasn't like she couldn't have stopped Sho easily, but he didn't want her to lose it like she had before. He had just gotten her back. He didn't really want to lose her again.

"I knew that was you." muttered Teru

"I don't WANT to beat him up, I'm just saying that if he breaks Big Sis's heart again I'll have to do something to him. Something to make him pay…it sucks when people you love run away…" said Sho

"But Teru won't do that. I love him and he loves me and we'll always be together, like you and Ritsu." Said Mob

"Yeah but Ritsu never banged me and then broke my heart-" said Sho

"Sho! Don't talk about that!" shouted Mob before quickly putting her hand over her mouth. Too loud…but that had been too embarrassing! That was NOT the kind of thing that Sho needed to be talking about or thinking about or-or-or anything!

"Please." Said Ritsu, lightly shoving Sho to the side.

"Come on, what he did wasn't alright and I don't think that we should pretend that it was." Said Sho

"We were twelve and dumb and…and we talked about this already! In private!" said Teru, pointing to the door in emphasis.

"I'm thirteen and Ritsu's still twelve and if we banged right now I don't think he'd treat me like you treated Big Sis." Said Sho. Judging by how Ritsu was glaring at him, and how close Big Sis looked to throwing up, that may have been the one step too far.

"Sho…can we please not talk about this? Ever again? This is kind of…not something I think brothers and sisters should ever talk about." Said Mob

"I don't like it either but I don't want him to hurt you. I mean what would you do if Ritsu banged me and then kicked me out?" asked Sho. He knew that he was taking it another step too far but he had to protect her. People sucked, even the people you loved, and…and she had nearly died for all of them. She didn't deserve to get her heart ripped out and shown to her…and it looked like she finally got it. Which was good, of course, even if it meant that she was giving Ritsu a really weird look.

"I…don't think that he would ever do that." Said Mob after a moment. She would have definitely done something…and not out of her own free will. She knew that if anyone, even her own little brother, made Sho feel even half as bad as she had felt the first time that she and Teru had…well, she would probably have lost control and hurt that person.

Or worse.

"I wouldn't, now can we please stop talking about this. She's been your sister for longer than she's been mine but even I think that this is weird." Said Ritsu

"Fine, fine…but remember. She can't watch me every second of every day." Threatened Sho. Teru, thankfully, looked away.

"Well you don't have to worry about that…and anyway I don't think anyone would want to." Said Teru as he did his best not to turn red. This was…not something that he wanted to discuss. Not that he didn't think that he could take Sho, because he could, but because everyone was talking about it and he'd just…he would have preferred to have been the one to bring it up, to brag, not that he would have bragged to her little brother…or anyone because he wasn't in school anymore and he didn't have to be immature like that ever again.

"I wouldn't want to, that sounds weird. I trust you…so please trust me when I say that everything between me and Teru is going to be ok." Said Mob

"Fine, I guess…but if he tries anything-" said Sho

"That doesn't sound like trust to me." said Mob. Sho sighed and crossed his arms.

"…fine. I'll trust him and be his friend and at your wedding I'll put all my hamsters in little hats and bowties and I'll have them throw sunflower seeds at you." said Sho. There, he was done…but then what was Teru's aura being all weird for? And why did he still look scared? Of course Sho wasn't going to try anything if Big Sis was this against it.

"Uh…what?" asked Teru. He must have misheard. Reigen had always said that if he didn't turn his music down he'd end up going deaf. There was no way that Sho was talking about a wedding anytime soon…right?

Right?

"Hamsters can throw things, I've seen them do it. I mean with their mouths, they don't have thumbs." Said Mob

"No, I mean…you mean in the future, right? The wedding thing? The far future?" asked Teru

"Well yeah, obviously, I mean you aren't getting married today. We don't even have a cake." Said Sho. What an idiot. Didn't he know how long it took to plan a regular party? A wedding must have been a regular party times a million! Also that cake must have taken a long time to bake since it was so big…he was going to have to find Shibata. They needed to get started on this stuff soon.

"And you don't know how to sew." Added Ritsu. There was no way that Sho could have been serious. It wasn't even legal for people their age to get married.

"I can have Shibata do that, he loves doing arts and crafts and stuff like that…even if all the stuff he makes is way too big." Said Sho

"He can't sew, though, only knit since the needles are bigger and his hands are really big…and he only knits giant things…." Said Mob

"Then…he'll…learn to knit the tiny hamster hats." Said Sho

"We'll have to get married in the winter, then, so they don't overheat." Said Mob. Teru's aura seemed…sad? Or maybe shocked…well, it was a long wait, the far future, but hamsters already had fur. Knitted hats would just make them overheat and nobody wanted that even if they were loud and smelled and sometimes ate their own babies if you didn't watch them carefully enough.

"I…huh?" asked Teru. He was…he was going deaf. Or crazy. There was no way they were all being seriously right now. Even Ritsu looked worried….but Ritsu worried about everything.

"Yarn is very warm so we'll have to wait until winter to get married…but only if that's ok with you. I mean I'm marrying you so I should ask what you want, too." said Mob

"You mean this winter? This year? To me?" asked Teru

"Or we can wait until after Christmas and New Year if you want." Said Mob. Teru did have a point, there were already two very big holidays in the winter. That was two parties she would have to throw now that she could, Dad was…not going to be able to tell her she couldn't, so maybe next year? But that was too long. Mom and Dad had only known each other for a couple of weeks before Mom had gotten pregnant…with Sho, not her…

But still, it was weird to wait a whole year to marry someone when you knew you were in love.

"And my birthday, there's no way I'm letting you skip my birthday." Said Sho

"And Sho's birthday, which we're going to celebrate of course, or…or you can get married on your birthday, if you want, or before that. Since you and Ritsu have been a couple for longer." Said Mob. Sho deserved to be happy, he'd gone through a lot, and for Sho's sake she could wait. Then he could get a head start on creating the family that he'd always wanted and then she could create the family that she always wanted and then they could be happy forever.

"I'm not even thirteen yet." Said Ritsu

"So?" asked Mob. Ritsu was giving her a look and so was Teru…had she said something? She didn't know. She had just asked a question. What did age matter? She knew that out there in the world people their age couldn't get married but this wasn't the world, this was Claw, and in Claw they could do whatever they wanted to do.

"So I'm thirteen….going to be thirteen, and anyway what would being married cha-" said Ritsu

"Can we just…uh…Frozen! You like Frozen, right? I do too so we should, uh, settle on that." Interrupted Teru. There was no way that this discussion was going to lead anywhere good. He almost wished that they had been back to talking about his sex life, at least that was less uncomfortable than this.

"It's my favorite movie." Said Mob. She liked other movies, of course, and some of them even without princesses…but she did like Frozen a lot and it had been a while since she'd seen it…or since she'd won the deciding hat. But they hadn't used the hat and…and it would have been more fair if she had just done this right…

But she did like Frozen.

"That's actually a good idea…huh. Maybe that's what Big Sis sees in you." Shrugged Sho. He had no problem with Frozen, aside from that fact that he must have seen it over a thousand times at this point in his life, but if it made Big Sis happy then he could sit through it again…she had stopped Dad after all and…and she had always been there for him even back when he'd been stupid enough to give her every reason to leave…

He could do this for her.

"I have no problem with Frozen." Said Ritsu. It was better than whatever weird foreign movie Teru had probably written down…and better, too, than the marriage conversation. He loved Sho, he really did, but sometimes he could be crazy.

He was lucky that Ritsu liked crazy.

"You guys…you guys really love me…and I love you too." said Mob. She wondered if she was being selfish, or maybe she was being more selfish by thinking that she was being selfish, or maybe the selfish thing was worrying about whether or not she looked selfish….but she could worry about that later. She had won the hat without even having to win. She had people who loved her and thought of her…maybe this would be just like old times.

Or maybe she could even make it better…but that would come later, in the future, when she truly had everything that she had ever wanted. Right now all she wanted was this…was a movie night with her friends and family.

With the people who loved her.
