Chapter 10: A week is enough.
I do hate hospitals, was the first thought Kise had when the anesthetic smell hit his noise and the beep beep sounds didn't stop on his dreams. Something… someone was caressing his hair and murmuring words he couldn't recognize. Slowly Kise wake up, his eyelids heavy, his eyebrows frowning while he gets accustomed to the light.
"M-mom?"
Kioko smiled slowing his motion in her son's hair. "I knew you were going to wake up soon." She said softly.
"W-what are you doing here?"
"I'm your mother, Ryouta."
"Wha- ugh, I know!" Kise flushed dazed. Of course! "But usually, you don't appear when I got to go to any hospital!"
"Well, half of the times you don't tell me. It's also my fault you don't say, I know that… and I am really sorry." Kioko sighed quite shy, quite feeling as an useful mother for neglecting Kise and neglecting their lives to the point her treasure (Kise) was laying in a hospital. "I am sorry I'm weak and I couldn't help you after your father died. He was my only love you know?" Kioko smiled sadly. This wasn't the right time, perhaps, Kise was barely conscious and her heart was too worried occupied examining hishealth. But thinking back, when she received the call from the hospital her legs gave out such a pressure building on her that she felt relieved she was inside the apartment. She felt scared for Kise. What If she never apologized to him?! She didn't like hospitals. She didn't like her son in a hospital!
Seeing her son's eyes go wide and apologetic, guilty clouding his gaze and at the same time caught with anything akin curiosity, she sat comfortable on the bed and said. "I met your father the day of my twenty-one birthday. I didn't have many friends in college because I was quiet and most of the time acted shy in front of people. No one knew it was my birthday, your father neither. But that day thought, like if he knew he sat at my side in the classroom and he kept talking and flirting with me. He was generous most of the time. I didn't know what to do or what to say. It was very awkward at first, but your father persisted and let me tell you his smile could convince the devil to join the heaven. "
Kise kept silent, his mom has never told him about how she met his dad. This was sudden and overwhelming. "Wow… you have never talked about dad… I think when he saw you he knew you're beautiful mom."
"Of course you would say that." She rolled her eyes. Kise opened his eyes a bit more.
"N-no! I'm serious! You're beautiful mom! There - there are men who look at you w-when you cross the street or when you're helping in the bakery! You don't notice but I do. You are… you…" Kise looked down at his hands. The movement dazes him but he continued, there was more pain in his words that inside his body after all. "I don't want to say this, but… you're mostly sad, sick, and don't care much about your appearance since dad's dead, I know it's difficult and painful. And I don't have the right to say anything-" Because it's my fault. "Yet, I only want you to start caring about yourself as before and keep going with your life and I just know you'll get better."
Kioko noted Kise's trembling hands on his lap. His son was trembling. His son was scared or worried? Or it was that talking to her has his son anxious? He's getting better with words, isn't it? She thought smiling inwardly. I think he knows I can't be fine in a week or two, or in a month, but I can try. I have been trying subconsciously. She was not a fighter like her son but... That was one of the reasons I married his father.
Always the fighter.
Kise remember her of Senshirou in many ways including some of the physical ones. Their easy way to establish a conversation, their way to make people feel good and happy around them, their way to crack a smile, some of their convictions, beliefs and even weakness, like they didn't like people crying. She giggled in her mind. Yeah, both were suckers of smiles and cute things. Thought Kise smiles were less now… she missed that part in his son. She missed those years. God, how much she was going to cry for Senshirou? Where was the limit of her ache? When everything was going to stop?
It's not a bad thing, he said, it's not a bad thing you remember your spouse.
That boy, Kioko thought. Aomine, that boy told me that last night while Kise was sleeping.
Don't tell Kise anything about this.
She closed her eyes thinking deep what she wanted. What she needs is time now. Time to clear and repair and construct a new force on her chest.
"I have never blamed you for your father's dead." She said meaning her words "Not really my son. I'm sorry if I said what I said once. I -I was mad and in a pain beyond myself. I didn't think it was your fault when I said it. When I yelled at you I wasn't thinking… I'm so sorry about that, so sorry… you heard me there frozen until the end my screams and you were a kid, my precious kid, I'm so sorry, so sorry Kise…"
Kise widened his eyes quickly hugging her frame whole-heartedly, feeling her tears slide down her cheeks and pouring over his shoulder. She cried saying sorry and sorry over and over. It broke Kise's heart. He squeezed her with all his being; she was the only family he has, the only person with the same blood than him in the world. "Oh God, mom, stop, it's ok, I… please, stop apologizing. It's ok now, it's ok…"
Kise's own eyes got cloudy with tears and his arms were growing weak while the embrace lasted longer. He cursed the anesthetics lingering in his system. This conversation, this moment was what he wanted to have from a long time ago. The fact that his mom was the first starting it was a big change, was a big everything. Their relationship have been so dulled and gray, and just like days passing and passing and you don't notice with whom you're living anymore.
Kioko finally raised, tears threatening to drop but firmly kept at bay. An hour has run for and her son needed medical attention. Kise rested his back on the bed, suppressing to swear: the pain in his torso's side wasn't turning exactly bearable.
"I'm going to call the Dr. All right." Kioko said.
"Thanks mom."

"Aomine, do you like the kid, right?" Nowaki asked sitting on the chair with a lot of sweets, flowers and chocolates scattered over the desk. It seemed like the tall Dr. was on a permanent Valentine Day, smiles were plastered on his face and there were lovely stars his blue eyes were sending every time he looked at a particular bouquet of white roses in the corner.
"He's not a kid." Aomine said from the window. Ridiculous Nowaki.
Aomine always thought the hospital's views were nostalgic and in general depressing and white. This time though, Nowaki had intervened translating Kise to a private clinic in the north of the city. There weren't any buildings or traffic noise near, since the surroundings were a lot of trees and plants and recreation areas it was pretty beautiful and peaceful.
"Ok…" Nowaki said cautiously, like teaching a lion how to saw meow in s circus. Aomine wasn't in the mood but Nowaki was and he was going to speak his mind as the adult here, damnit. "But between you two, you are the responsible one." You can't deny that. "Think about today."
"What about today?"
Wow - easy Aomine kun!
Typical. Say something he may not like and the lion will show the claws. Nowaki took his time ordering stuff and cards in drawers waiting for Aomine to relax."Well, you told me you kiss him."
"Almost." Aomine answered. What I did didn't count.
"Anyway," Nowaki continued "after that, you kissed a girl right in front of him. That is a fucked up certain mixed signal, he's easy to scare in that matter and you -" Nowaki stood slapping a book over Aomine's head "― listen to me. You act like a brat in front of him. If you're in love you do not want the other party to hate you. You show him your sweet - good side."
"What sweet side? You are insane."
Slap.
"―Without counting Kise san - he's a good kid. And I mean good." Nowaki chastised. "The kind of good you know what I'm talking about. Aomine you're not impenetrable, let the kid know you. Let him loose that apprehension for you."
Aomine let the pause get longer until he finally looked away.
Fine.
Fine. Nowaki didn't have to remind him over again his mistakes. But Nowaki was right. Shit, Aomine didn't want to live the day Nowaki knew he thought that.
"I'll talk to him."
"Awesome!" Nowaki exclaimed, his eyes squinting. "It would help you if someone tells Kise san who's paying the clinic and having secret conversations at night with his mother. . ."
"No. If you dare tell him―"
"― Dr?" A woman with light blond hair opened the door. Nowaki recognized her as Kise's mother. Now, Nowaki was a pediatric, he loved children and they were his passion. Yet, for close friends, and in this case, for Aomine (so young in Nowaki's eyes!) and his boyfriend (or soon to be in Nowaki's POV) he was making an exception attending the case. "My son woke up!"
….
"Have you confessed to him?" walking in the corridor, Nowaki asked to Aomine, before opening Kise's habitation. The tall man remembered the first time he saw Hiro san crying alone on the bench, the sun so radiant, the weather so good, people smiling walking in the park, and that person, that person alone so beautiful, so precious but crying. Always and from that moment Nowaki knew he needed to confess to that person. Always wanting him, knowing he was in love to the core. Was Aomine's love for Kise at first sight? How was Aomine's love for that kid? Nowaki felt like a young parent, and as an intuitive one, the answer of his question was in no other place more than inside the habitation. On the face of his patient.
"Good afternoon, Kise san! How are you feeling?"
Aomine looked back at Kioko but she wasn't paying attention to them. But she was. What was the moron thinking asking him that with Kioko closes listening?!
Kioko took a seat at the bed's side. Nowaki was with Kise asking him questions and checking the blond's vital signs. A nurse appeared dragging a new serum and pills pain- killers on her hand. Aomine settled for being close to the door, he heard Nowaki explaining Kioko the level of her son's wound and how the short operation has been a success. Apparently, when Kise fell with the kid he saved, the broken glasses over the ground had cut through him and one of them got deep through his clothes making the operation necessary and to make sure there weren't any more glasses inside him.
"I'm fine mom, just sleepy."
Aomine looked up. Kise's voice was shy, his face nurturing a couple of scratches. He noticed Nowaki was oblivious that his constant proximity has Kise wary of him.
Afraid of a big teddy bear? Translation: Nowaki.
Aomine scoffed and crossed his arms. He didn't know he was that fed up until he saw Kise's blush reaching the tips of his ears.
Fuck.
"Kise san, stop moving!"
Aomine obliged his growl down.
Shit, why him?
He was feeling ―possessive. Like the possessive – I- don't –want- you- to- touch- what- it's- mine- or- I'll- castrate - you- possessive.
He wanted to snap, cut and then crush Nowaki's hands ruffling Kise's hair.
Ok - Is Nowaki who we're talking about. (The same lovesick stupid of his Hiro san.)
Is not like Aomine can show Kise jealousy. Because as ironic as it sounds, that would chase the blond far, FAR away. And Kise doesn't likes to feel caged, a voice inwardly added. He has said that to you in many ways many times before.
It was decided. It's time of the talk Kise wants. I need to tell him.
"Aomine? Aomine, dear, can you?"
Aomine blinked caught. Kioko's hand reposed softly on his arm. She opened and closed her mouth, an emotion sliding inside her eyes. Throwing a look at his left, Aomine took a step back. Nowaki was looking at him with a horrible sap smile, and behind him, Kise was attempting to look out of the window from the bed. What was she asking again?
"I said if you can stay with Kise while I go home for a change of clothes… We all need clean clothes and I need to call the school. Do some things before coming back later. Perhaps I'm asking too much... you think you can stay?" although Kioko wasn't smiling, Aomine noted she was radiant. Though it didn't have to do with the emotion that he'd captured before
"Yes, I can."
"Thank you, Aomine kun." she bowed, turning to grab Kise's cheek, saying how much she loved him (Kise turned red: Mom!), then saying good-bye, Nowaki behind her.
Aomine didn't move from the wall, he waited the nurse finishing with Kise's wounds; she made small talk and waved off promising to come later with food.
Kise looked at him and Aomine responded.
It reminded him the first time they fought, no. . . . It reminded him a time further back, when he saved the blond from a car's accident. Aomine hadn't known anyone that stupid to cross a street like that. Kise was sick, his hazel eyes huge lifeless, pale lips, arms unusually thin… all of him choked with such sadness because of his father's dead anniversary. Aomine couldn't accept a person like that. Aomine's philosophy kicked him right: You die if you don't live. Kise wasn't living. He was only if trying.
"You're a magnet to accidents. You knew that?"
"…Since you appeared, yeah." Kise buried a certain not friendly tone in his voice.
Great, Kise hated him.
"You can't be that blind, before me you have been careless, indifferent and stupid. All the scars and fights are way to overcome your father's dead. I knew you didn't have a brain but you didn't strike me like a coward."
"Don't talk like you know me!" Kise bit back harshly. He was still hurt because of Aomine's previous actions. And there wasn't going to be any nurse or anything glued to his arms to stop him to punch Aomine in the face. First: because he didn't knew shit about his family. Second: because he deserves it. "What's with you caring about me? I'm freaking out for you and this right you feel to get in my life! You can't walk in like a delinquent and pretend you like me! That doesn't happen! I'm not going to trust you one morning to the next, in fact… geez! ― I did." Kise huffed, "I did trust you… I wanted to be your friend. At some point but I wanted it and that's – well, that's not exactly smart coz aren't you my damn kidnapper? And shit, I'm not normal if I really thought you a good person at the core."
"Fuck Kise… breathe, ok?" Aomine said, sitting at Kise's side looking over the cardiac monitor Kise's heart rhythm from high to fainting. A scowl raised in Aomine that would have scared the death itself.
"I w-want to be civil." Kise continued not fazed by the other's closeness "I'm not a coward. I'm …" Afraid? Annoyed? Dazed?
Kise moaned. The adrenaline diminished, was returning once more the effect of the anesthetics, and his quickly breathing from earlier was leaving him dizzier than a compass spinning. He weakly dropped back to the pillow. With Aomine close, he admitted he was handsome if he stopped hitting on him. "I'm upset. Every word you said. Every one you… don't know. I really want to kick your ass."
A smirk spread over Aomine's lips.
"Not today Kise." It would be easy if I disappear from your life but I'll not. "Our conversation can wait. You're fainting right to dreamland. You must rest."
"Yeah… um, don't… don't do anything… to-to me."
"You're flattering yourself." Aomine said but his left hand was resting at the pillow's side and half of his body was leaning over Kise's without that feeling uncomfortable. Kise chuckled.
"But… youu… a…rrre cloo..se…" he slurred. A faint blush rousing his cheeks.
"Because you're not denying yourself or me." Aomine snorted the obvious. Kise closed his eyes.
Aomine let his forehead fall over Kise's in defeat, breathing deeply the same air the blond was breathing. He bumped after a while their noses together wanting Kise to wake up because the feeling was so peaceful and good… like anything Aomine has. Sweet lips were there defenseless and tempting as the owner's mind. Aomine groaned standing away with an erection.
"Stupid, stupid moron."
Wake up soon so I can make you mine.

"Bang Bang Bang," a plastic gun shoot false targets to the green and white bottles scattered over the ground.
"Akashi! Found you!"
Blue eyes looked back in turn of the red-haired that was worrying his lips while cleaning the gun and shooting again.
"Akashi?! Oh- Kurokocchi! You're here too!" a lively blond of ten years smiled showing his hands full of candies. "I brought a lot… take as much as you want!" Kise sang accompanying Kuroko in the bench. Kuroko eyed Kise's hands and brought the yellow big one to his mouth.
"Do you think Akashi would like one?" Kise asked after a while. The red-haired seemed entertained with his 'toys'. "I couldn't bring ice cream with me… or my bag to show you my draws." He added sadly.
"Are you skipping school?"
"Why do you think that?!" Kise exclaimed surprised. "I didn't… I wouldn't do that… today is a holiday. Teacher Day or something… by the way… you don't go to school right? Neither Akashi or some of the kids I see hanging around when I come…"
"Do you think us stupid Ryouta?"
Kise startled feeling strange every time the red-haired call him by his name. "No… I didn't say that."
"But you think we are brainless." Akashi posed his yellow eye over him. Kise shuddered. Although Akashi was amazing and the way he plays it's attractive his eyes scared him at the most unpredictable times.
"I didn't say that," Kise looked for support on Kuroko at his side. But Kuroko was like a doll sometimes and his eyes showing the ocean sometimes stood blank and reflexive. Kuroko could be a sweet kid but Kise noticed this kind of life had taught him things Kise didn't dream to know. "Kurokocchi you know I'm only asking. I'm curious about both of you… I want to know both of you… is that bad?"
Kuroko gazed up to Akashi - his boss, and sighed. Now now, Kise was very naïve.
Akashi swung back to the gun and to his tranquil self without a word. The question hanging in the air took Kise's spirits down.
"Kise," Kuroko called patiently.
"Yes?"
"What are you doing here?"
"What do you mean? I'd already tell you―"
"No. What are you doing here in the zones? It's dangerous and reckless. You're not from here Kise. Every person with a good eye can see that. What are you telling your mom every time you escape here?"
Akashi stopped to clean the gun glancing with his yellow eye the scene. Kise's bangs hided his eyes who hided his world of feelings. But with one intuitive and the other as a leader, Kise was easily read as an open book.
"Y-you… d-don't want me to, uh, come?"
The hurt was screaming in every word. Kuroko's blue eyes scanned Akashi's ones paying attention to the conversation. The red haired could be far and supposedly distracted with his game, that Kise thought. But Kuroko knew his friends and Akashi was not distracted. He was expecting something from both. A clever good answer, a satisfactory development. Akashi irradiated perfection.
"How many times have you found us over the month?" Kuroko asked instead.
"I'm not sure… 10? 12 times?" Kise answered dumbfounded.
"Seventeen." Kuroko said.
Kise swallowed. That many? The number made him felt guilty. "I hadn't noticed..." He muttered. He had run inside the zones not really counting the steps or worrying about what he was doing. Somehow the thought he knew Akashi and Kuroko, those two special kids eased all the way alone. And since he brought a knife with him everywhere he expected that was enough to be safe. Darn! the hours flied when he was with them.
"I- I'm sorry." Was he?
"You should apologize to your parents Kise. Not me."
"But you are my friend!" Kise couldn't help his words back. "And I don't want to disappear! I know both of you, I know you exist! How can I sleep knowing you both are alone in the zones? And if something happens and I can't help because I'm sleeping on my bed!?"
"Are you five Kise." Kuroko said harshly. Kise's hazel eyes opened feeling his head hot with words. "Zones are not place for kids and weak – good people. The first time you come here a man died. You can die. Are you absolutely fine with that? Are you good leaving your parents alone?!"
"Kurokocchi…"
"Think well before you answer."
Kise tried to not feel scare of what Kuroko was saying. He had tried to clean his memories of the blood around his face and hair and the sounds… The sounds of killing. Right. Behind. You.
"I-I don't want to leave." Kise muttered closing his eyes tight. "I don't want to leave!" the blond blinked open his eyes fiercely. His little heart pounding more than ever at the same time he stood looking down at Kuroko.
Kuroko smiled. He was proud of Kise's answer. It was enough to convince the red haired now.
Kise gasped jumping back when a swift change in the air barely went through his head but ended buried in the wall.
A knife.
"ARE YOU CRAZY!?" Kise felt red in the face.
Akashi's eyes were cast down. He walked until he reached the blond. Staring up with his heterochromatic eyes. The blond stood his foot shaking. Akashi's scarlet hair was intimidating.
"My knife scared you?" Akashi touched Kise's cheek. Kise was taller but Akashi was rudest. "I'll tech you to use one. You need to grow your skills. But first lesson: Don't be afraid."
Kise let out a low whine as the cold metal found his wrist.
Kuroko looked the horizon behind the gray buildings eating a red candy. Kise's training has begun.
"Shhh! He's opening his eyes! Shh!"
"You wake him Ouch – Ayaka…" Moriyama sighed quietly.
"Why you have to be so tall. It's annoying."
"I'm not going to argue again." And Moriyama, the owner of the voice was serious.
"Okay… " the second person admitted softly.
"Ayaka…" Kise groaned sitting groggily on the bed. A girl with long black hair and pale skin answered ruffling his hair. Moriyama was tall at her side, with a box that smelled sweetly and heavenly filling his nostrils. Kise smiled seeing them looking at him. They were together and they weren't fighting, not really fighting at least, and they were here.
"I'm sorry we wake you up." Ayaka said frowning.
"We really miss you, is what she wanted to say." Moriyama added.
Ayaka murdered him with her eyes. Moriyama scratched his neck looking at the ceiling.
"I was worried…" She continued "Kasamatsu told me what happened by the phone. We wanted to come earlier but without permission you know that's impossible. I even argued with the manager but geez, it's a man hard to break."
"It's fine, I wasn't alone… I'm actually good with my mom. That box is for me?" Kise made puppy eyes tilting his head to Moriyama's hands. Ultimately he was eaten more and feeling less tired. His mother had been with him gaining lost time (?) he didn't know how to call it, they were in a stage when they were testing how to health. Sometimes talking, sometimes in silence or sometimes in ordinary things as seeing television.
"I know you like cake." Moriyama looked up and down the blond checking if all his bonds were in the right place. Kise grinned already eating the strawberries with chocolate over the cake.
"I'm ok, really! I'd been five days stuck here… if anything I want to fly out of here. How was the trip? I – how was the tourney?!" he was talking about the annual trip to the basketball team of the school. Kise couldn't go, because of course- he wasn't an official member. And he had been against playing since his father's dead, even after Kasamatsu begged him to take over his life.
"Really nice. There were new players this year, and a lot of girls and tons of people seeing the games. I should start nagging you again. Hayakawa was difficult to deal alone." Moriyama flushed.
"Yeah, because Kasamatsu wasn't there and I didn't help you."
Moriyama shrugged and Ayaka exhaled sitting in the bed. "Kasamatsu it's on consult, the Dr, will say today if he needs another week with the plaster cast or if he's finally alright and free."
"He told me yesterday… he was here all day chastising me." Kise pouted "I swear my arm's still hurting after that."
"Well, on another note you have tons of homework again."
Kise licked his lips clean leaving the box on the table. "What a nightmare! Would you… help me?"
"And Aomine?" She wanted to know. The guy wasn't near hovering over the blond. And Kasamatsu was happier than other days, in a really freaking good mood.
"What?" It took Kise out of base. "I haven't seen him."
"Why?"
"I don't know… I don't feel like talking about him."
"You mean you feel uncomfortable around him."
"No… that's not anymore… it's – Ayaka why you're always asking?" Kise looked from the girl to Moriyama. Help me! Kise mouthed.
"Why, he's smart and lives with you."
"I thought you didn't like him?" Moriyama winked an eye towards the blond.
"I don't hate him. It's just a question! Since when?" Ayaka persisted. Kise swallowed, she was really interested?
"Ayaka, you're scaring me! ... It doesn't matter…"
"Since when Kise?"
"Uh, five days!" Kise stood opening his mouth to take a breath. Ok, what was that tension? "Moriyama, you should have kissed her!" he shouted breaking in laughs while Ayaka pinched his cheeks until they were bright red.
"You smartass!" she blushed "That's not the point!"
"Is there a point?" Moriyama asked sarcastic grabbing Kise's bags on the floor. Today was the day Kise was out of the clinic. After a week it was just fear the blond could breathe contaminated air of the city. Kasamatsu have been overly specific and protective about Kise, he asked that neither Moriyama nor Ayaka leaved the blond alone. Kioko couldn't go because the bakery was chaotic and Aomine was lost since five days ago. Moriyama didn't thought Kise would run straight to the danger out of the clinic, but Kasamatsu was always worried like a sick parent or an obsessive boss, finally some of that rubbed off in Moriyama.
"― Ayaka! I'M NOT IN LOVE OF HIM! Now, could you stop –FORGET- those questions!?"
Moriyama rose his face caught in Kise's red face and Ayaka's black eyes and for the first time in months he noticed Ayaka was angry. Not angry like with him and the girls, it was that kind of –WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU SO STUBBORN- angry that Moriyama barely knew. Both were breathing fast staring at each other's faces until black eyes turned glassy with tears.
"A-Ayaka?–" Oh no "no, Ayaka, don't-" Kise got close reaching for her shoulders. This is not happening! "don't cry… I- I'm sorry I yelled you-" Ayaka trembled backing away and raising her hands to rub her tears away. "I-I'm a jerk. Just stop crying. Ayaka…" Shit. Her eyes were very red and she looked up shy, sniffing with a sore nose. She looked fragile in her white light dress refraining to crying with small gestures.
S-She was adorable.
"Aw, you're adorable Ayakacchi!" Kise hugged her finally throwing all cautions to the four winds. Ayaka was his friend now, like family! And damn… "Ayakacchi you remind me of my Kurokocchi… I want to hug you all day!"
"K-Kurokocchi?" Ayaka stuttered pressed to the blond. "Who is h-he? And yes…! y-you're a Jerk! Kise stop hugging me! sniff!"
"Because both are so kind! And both can be so scary but adorable at the same time~!" Kise closed his eyes messing with Ayaka's black hair and hugging her one side to another like a little girl, like sister and brother messing around in a clinic's room. Moriyama cut the fun dragging Ayaka alone until her back hit his chest and she widened her eyes, looking back and up to Moriyama's quiet gaze sending hell to Kise. Oh… he was jealous.
Kise shuddered backing one step away and raising his hands in defense "Hey, don't bark at me! I don't feel anything for Ayaka in that way! M-Moriyama!? Stop glaring!"
"Blondie, you're very touchy when you're in a good mood." He circled Ayaka's waist with one arm. "I like to see you well but don't touch MY sweet Ayaka!"
"AH?! And since when I'm sweet to you?!" Ayaka jumped pushing at Moriyama's hand like the flu but he tightened his grip at the same time refusing to let her go. Grrrr Moriyama!
"Since always! And you don't listen. Why do you ask?" Moriyama stared at her waiting a response. Since always … since childhood. Why Ayaka didn't believe him? He wasn't joking. He was never joking. He only acted like a flirt, because Ayaka didn't take him seriously.
Ayaka felt her heart do the tha- dump tha- dump –thing, her hands pushing Moriyama away loosened slowly. Moriyama was her sustain, grabbing her close from behind, without reaction from Ayaka his free hand found her hair and caressed it a little.
Ayaka looked down … alright…I… he… I- I'm really… but… but with Moriyama?
Kise looked at his two friends feeling you know... He remained faining he was very interested in the ceiling. Moriyama was the first who let the girl go, while Ayaka perplexed darted a glance at him.
"Let's go home, blondie." Moriyama left the room with Kise's bags over his shoulder.
Kise took his white cardigan sweater on the bed and gave a squeeze to Ayaka's arm. "C'mon Ayakacchi, he likes you. And you recently noticed today." Kise shook his head and gave another friendly squeeze, it was his time to take mercy on her. "Let's go to my place, and then take some air out."
"Thanks Kise." Ayaka said blinking and smiling like one of those romantic smiles people makes when noticing someone. Kise felt it and chuckled warm inside. Perhaps the fool –Moriyama- has a chance for real.

"Aomine, you saw Akashi?"
"Yes."
Kagami stretched his arms sore of training, his manager Alex was strict and a workaholic at heart. She was a beauty with more balls than anyone and very intelligent. She was the owner of a dark local in the a – zone localized between old buildings without ceilings in the last floor and partially hided from the people not wanted in the place.
Alex didn't support traffic deals or drugs, she was more a business person who made her local a beauty and a perfect place to drink, dance and forget ugly troubles. Of course she couldn't control if the pigs got drunk or molested her girls and boys inside the local! With that in mind, Alex employed the best bodyguards and gave them guns. If you wanted a "safe" place in the a-zone you wanted Alex.
Kagami was her brother, admirer, follower, student, almost a lover, thought Kagami had never shared more than a quick kiss with her. No, they were not lovers. They were good with being friends.
"Mm, that's why you're moody." The charismatic red- head hummed. Every time Aomine saw Akashi, the guy ended like the devil, moody and smoking cigarettes like a fucking addicted of nicotine. "What is it? What he asked you this time?" he asked with plain curiosity but also with a spark of friendship in his voice.
"Drugs business. I don't like druggers, they are shit."
"I know. You should join Alex's business, man. Driving full speed and gaining easy- money for that is the best job one could want." Kagami smiled happily describing his sappy corny life.
"I'm not you Bakagami." Aomine smirked.
"Of course not, Ahomine! You are a rich kid now, studying, responsible and all." (1)
"I'm smart and with the looks. What can I say?"
"Say…? Be blunt! You're going to tell me with what is it Akashi is threatening you?" Kagami didn't bite the rope.
"No." Aomine exhaled the smoke; he narrowed his eyes. Kagami sighed giving space to a short pause.
"I bloody miss someone."
"…" the red-haired raised an eyebrow.
Kagami enjoyed Alex's house three blocks far of the local, there was a calm aura in the building and the sight the balcony offered when the sun died was breath-taking. It was something that the zones only could show. Kagami's dreams could come true only by feeling the air and dust messing his hair and the orange sun showing his last rays. Kagami didn't know Aomine so well but in the short years, he had seen the guy as a hard fighter and a monster when wanting anything
I don't deal with scum. Aomine spat in the man's face in front of Kagami the first time they knew each other in the a-zone. Kagami had chuckled not denying the obvious.
By the way, Alex only let close people inside her house. How Aomine knew Alex and gained her trust?
"Mo… Momoi?" Kagami tried his mind, images of a beautiful strawberry girl clinging to Aomine's left arm. He will ask Alex one of these days how she meet Aomine.
"No." Aomine gazed at the red-haired. Kagami remember Momoi? "I miss a blondie. A stupid bloody blondie." Aomine spat like if the words were the same Damocles sword. Navy eyes raised darker and he turned away shadowing his face from Kagami.
In somewhere in the city…
"Achu!" Kise's hazel eyes teared. "Achu! Achu! ACHU!" the blond sniffed rubbing his nose.
"You catch the flu?" Moriyama asked eating his second hamburger of the day.
"Y-you're going to-to- a-again-…"
"ACHU! ACHU! ACHU!" Kise cut Sakurai's weak stammering. "Crap," the blond shuddered sniffing. "What the hell with these sneezes?"
"Is not the flu, is just someone talking about him." Ayaka sipped her cup of coffee, enjoying the sweet flavor of the vanilla. "What? You know what the say." She ignored Kise's teared glare and Sakurai's widening eyes. Huh, morons.
A week is long enough to be settled.
(1)Baka means idiot and Aho means stupid if you don't know!
Kagami appeared! Yay! Maybe I'll hint KagaKuro but I'm not sure yet… aaaaand… I'll definitely enjoy writing the next chapter, Aomine needs to kiss Kise so yeah. *smirks* Review? Please? -I'm shameless like I said u.u-
