And...Loki's back! Please enjoy...or don't enjoy!

"Already Gone"

"Holy shit!"

Two Months Later

Skye leaned against the window, looking at the sunrise. The one thing she loved about this world was its sunrises and sunsets. They were absolutely beautiful!

"Oh, Skye!" Loki's taunting loud voice entered the room before she saw him. Just as she turned, her brother made his presence known.

Skye dreaded his visits. "What do you want, Loki?" She asked dryly.

The trickster looked appalled, dramatically placing a hand over his heart. "My, my, sister. You sound un-pleased to see me." He flashed a menacing smile, making her roll her eyes. His antics no longer fazed her because she knew he did it mostly to get a rise out of her. Loki would get more of a rise out of Coulson than her; he's the one not a fan of his.

"What trick are you planning to pull today?" Skye asked, annoyed. She had been enjoying the view.

Loki casually walked over to her, turning to stare at the sunrise. "I thought you might be interested in going for a stroll." He tested, sneaking a glance in her direction. She had a questioning raised eyebrow. Instantly, Loki held his hands up in a surrender gesture. "I promise no tricks."

"Then why the invite?" Skye asked, giving him a narrowed look.

Loki sighed, dropping his façade. "Because I actually want to have a brother-sister relationship. You are close to Thor; I guess I am a little jealous of that. It is hard feeling like you have been brushed aside." He answered with no ounce of trickery.

Skye wasn't exactly sure whether she should accept his response. After all, the god was known as the God of Mischief. Despite some small part of her protesting, she accepted his answer. "You haven't been brushed aside, Loki. Everyone's just on alert because our uncle's a dumbass." She placed a comforting hand on his lower forearm. "What you're feeling right now is how I felt growing up, so that's what you and I have in common." She flashed a comforting smile to which earned her one of his – a rarity.

"How did you get through it?" he asked softly, sincerely curious.

Skye squeezed his arm. "I met AC and the team. Through him, I found my home. I found out that I hadn't actually been alone. Someone was watching out for me, and I betrayed them without knowing." She dropped her hand to look back at the sky, resting her palms on the stone sill. "I was lucky that AC refused to let me go. I know I'd still be drifting from place to place, stuck back in the world I was in before S.H.I.E.L.D. intervened. Also, I wouldn't have fallen in love with a wonderful, caring, protective man and…" she gestured to her stomach with her hand; Loki looked at her swollen stomach. "I wouldn't be a mother to these two or here on Asgard."

Loki knew all about paths. He'd often wondered how his life would have been if he'd been raised on his home planet, if he'd fulfilled his proper place. Maybe he should give his sister some slack; she knew exactly how he felt. "I get it."

She smiled triumphantly. "I have to thank you, though, even though you killed my fiancé."

Loki smirked. "It was to make a point to my brother. He hadn't meant anything to me then, but your AC has to mean something to me now. He will be my brother, so I guess I will have to stop trying to get a rise out of him."

Skye chuckled. "Well, you have to at least be nicer to him. It'll be hard for your mischievous side to completely stop agonizing him. He'd probably think something's wrong with you if you didn't act yourself."

Loki gave a half-smile. "Perhaps, you are right."

"I know I am, big bro." She sighed, letting a few minutes of quietness entered the atmosphere. "You said something about a stroll?"

"Ah," Loki jump started, turning on his heels and walking beside her at her pace. "I did. Thought we could visit with some of the commoners or view the gardens or whatever you would like."

"Sounds good to me." She agreed.
