Peace was something everyone wanted no matter what form it took. Most definitely so for a Maou and Returnee Group that had such peace shattered and turned upside down multiple times. But when finally they had once more for about a year and a half, the universe came knocking. Along with a forgotten childhood past of the Maou, at least he's got Rito and Kousuke to join him on this.

A few weeks later Outerspace Earth, Beside the moon within Devilukian Mothership, Bridge of the ship, April 17th(Tuesday), 2012 5 pm (within Japan) Multi pov

Things have been getting hectic for the few weeks, and he wasn't talking about what's going on in this backwater of a planet. Mainly within the devilukian Empire as by now Gid's announcement that all three candidates for the throne. By extension, the rest of the universe that all candidate spots for the throne have been filled. And all were residing all the way here on this recent Orange planet called Earth. Thus he'd spoken up to Gid while letting out a sigh

Zastin "So it's just like we thought?"

Gid {A bit tamer than initial predictions but still there. Stuck-up idiots offended, various demanding the heads of inferior life forms, those loyal to my daughters wishing to meet them. Many asking to rescind my decision of making Nagumo Hajime, Endou Kousuke, and Yuuki Rito my candidates for the throne. Etc, etc, so not as bad as it could be} he merely said to his old comrade and friend having an amused smile enjoying what was going on

Zastin "That it could be yes, any of the old candidates planning one send a force over?"

Gid {For now no, those young blood yet an ambitious lot are waiting to see how things play out for now. More so having to fix issues and deal with what's going on within their respective empires, kingdoms, or system. At least the smart ones as the more gun-ho and idiotic types are making such a force as we speak though obviously going to take some time}

Zastin "Righ...do we have an estimated time of when we can such an invasion force?"

Gid {Let's see ahh thanks my love, anyhow from looking at the various reports from our spies, their respective rivals within their section of the universe, from their Emperors or King's mouth when asked. And allies we have within their versions of governments or factions backing them up the shortest you can expect them. Is just after our arrangement with Yuuki Rito is over, otherwise. It varies within a year or five all appearing within the same amount of time frame, ohh how fun}

Zastin "By fun you mean that this part of the galaxy is going to have mini-proxy wars between the various fleets. From various systems, empires, and kingdoms within our own empires. Before they even react this system and even then one might break out before reaching Earth. Gid at least take this a bit seriously,"

Gid {Oh I am, it is a different matter if the foolish ones will honestly cause problems for the stability within the universe. If they for example were the biggest faction, favored heir etc. But their not so it's fine and besides those idiots much like the rest of the candidates have always been living life. With the threat of death as they could be killed by fellow siblings, rival empires, rival factions, etc. As it always has been vying for positions as emperor, king, or leader within their respective empires, kingdoms, or systems}

Zastin "Please your Majesty, you should know by now of Princess Lala will react when such a thing. Appears upon the earth's doorstep and threatens Yuuki Rito, she's going to join the battle. For the sole reason she doesn't wish the love of her life hurt, you know I'm right. Her feeling for the unimpressive human is real compared to others. At that point, it's a bit much in asking and ideal that the offending party pulls their punches on her. You know her preparation after all and one of the reasons why she's your primary heir. We're just lucky she's not like Princess Momo in that regard else we'd have real problems on our hands,"

Gid {Maybe, though I did mess up a bit in letting Momo join you during those expeditions. Something I made sure to never accept again until they're ready, our Empire isn't at war after all. Though we know it's just a matter before the next foolish idiot tries to wage war}

Zastin "Yeah but I doubt it'll happen within this century or the next,"

Gid {I understand your worry I do Zastin. Compared to the other two my twins have chosen, just wish she could've picked a better humanoid race. Theirs called humans but honestly their just weaker versions of others within this universe. Such as you and me for example in terms of ability and strength. But just make sure when the offending parties get there. Make sure Lala doesn't die despite being a young version of me. Since I am sure when my other two daughters arrive there know better than interfere in such conflict that may cause a couple dozen or so galaxies to vanish. From my rage and the devilkin empie being mobilized within the first month should they die. That's just needless bloodshed of innocents after all}

Zastin "I guess we can be content with the fact that the other two are training the poor lad to be decent enough to hold his own,"

Gid {Perhaps, but the other two could use some experience as well in terms of leading and commanding an army. I'm sure on the economic or political side they have it handled. That said anything else you find out about this planet over the two weeks?}

Zastin "Other than petty secret wars playing out and none of them willing to unite as a single race than know. However, Nagumo Hajime's 8th fiancee going by Liliana S.B Heiligh seems on the right track. In doing just that basing a religion around herself even if it wasn't what she desires. I'd say without external help from us or other space-fairing races. Or Nagumo Hajime taking upon himself to guide these humans to the stars. Then in two decades or so, this planet will have a few working space elevators to start colonizing its rich fill moon here. After then unify into one single race under her within a decade from now," he continues

Zastin "It interesting fact that it seems Nagumo Hajime isn't only a candidate for our empire even if he's the second. No, it seems other princesses from the realms of Gods and demons have made him the sole candidate. To either be the Next King of the gods or the King of the Demons with non of the humans too far. Have gone beyond the gate into the realms where these humanoids come from,"

Gid {I see...Is he interested in becoming such a thing?}

Zastin "No my Emperor, much like with us he isn't interested in such a thing. But from what I hear it seems much like Princess Lala is with Yuuki Rito. The two royal princesses are in love with Nagumo Hajime. Enough to try and take him away from his harem of beauties though none as beauty her majesty the queen,"

Gid {I'd be worried if there was another person like my Sephine. After all, I won't desire anyone to suffer in what I have to go through on a daily when someone catches sight of beauty. Only for them to go mad with love and envy even starting wars against me and my people all to just have her}

Zastin "Yes, that is something I wouldn't wish for the candidates to have. However, that isn't all we found within our two or so weeks watching this backwater place. It seems there are traces of other space-faring races living in hiding here as well. Not confirmed yet but we have reason to believe we aren't the first to discover this backwater planet. The first one to publicly state and register it, but certainly not the first,"

Gid {I see...anything else?}

Zastin "...I don't wish to give out hope your Majesty...but during our scans across the planet...eight space fairing vessels from a long thought. Dead and former long gone Empire of Takamagahara in Yuuki Rito's langue. One of our allies and first benefactors in the first centuries of the Universal War have seemed to crash landed on this planet..." he merely said with slight hesitation yet honesty remembering those long-dead comrades of theirs and long-dead friends of Sephine. As well the only other person Sephine and Gid almost allowed them to join them as his second queen.

Gid {...You're playing a dangerous game here old friend...} he and everyone within the bridge heard and felt the atmosphere change drastically. As all suddenly felt wight upon their shoulders threating them to fall to the floor. That their emperor had returned to how he was as the commander and chief during the Universal war

Zastin "...It is the reason why I'm hesitant in even bringing this up. Since we've been burned many times before in the past just when we thought we found them. Only ends up them becoming a fraud or we find nothing,"

Gid {And it's because of these reasons those that foolishly thought they could scam or play one up on us...using Gria's own people. To get what they wished or desired isn't here anymore. All of them are gone, their people gone, their families gone, their culture and language gone. You should know that better than anyone, after all, I'd say your fury was at times worse than mine. In fact, I still remember...} he tried to say with a bit of a cold and amused smile while his eyes held no warmth

Zastin "ENOUGH!" He yelled out loud and coldly as well as his strong yet honest demeanor was gone.

Inteaed was replaced for what he's known across the universe and struck fear into everyone's hearts. His eyes were cold devoid of light with and cold yet uncaring expression. Yet his whole body what shaking with anger and sadness all in one. While the whole room was filled with ice-cold bloodlust baring down on their shoulders. That if they were the very people and crew under Zastin, then for certain all would be dead.

Or be on their knees begging for mercy or going insane at being exposed to such a thing. The whole room becomes silent while holding their breathes wondering what's going to happen next only for

Gid {And there he is my good old comrade of mine...One of the best swordsmen in the universe as well as the commander and chief of our home planet. Was thinking perhaps I may have lost you my White Death~}

Zastin "I never went anywhere my FREIND...I was always here beside you as I've always been and continue to do so even when you step down. I just merely thought my true self wouldn't be a pleasant sight your daughters wish to see. Or perhaps be around since well you are already a monster enough for the both of us," he early said honestly yet coldly with no amused smile

Gid {Until you see my wife's beauty that is. But who knows perhaps you are right. Still, I wish to see you like this more often. Besides Momo already knows how you truly are so I don't see the harem. In my eldest and youngest know who you truly are as well?}

Zastin {Well that isn't fair of you to use such a thing. Hell, why do you think I avoid being with Sephine if possible? You forget you aren't the only person in having to put down the ones you called friends. And comrades in arms all because they caught a glance at that monster's beauty. But no, I'd rather enjoy just being the personal bodyguard of Princess Lala. The most relaxing thing I and my force has in a long time even if she causes us a few headaches at times} he simply says honestly

Gid {Monster right...well, I guess I can't blame you for calling my wife that after everything has happened...But getting back on topic...are you sure their eight vessels from Gria's Empire?}

Zastin "...56% sure Gid, but that's percentage greater than anything else in the past and at first scan as well. All we know is that all of them are scattered across the world. With one being the cost of our candidate's home nation on the privet own Island called Kamikura Island. From accessing(Very easily that it was funny to them) the various world secret databases," he continues while seeding information they found so far relating to this

Zastin "From what you can see and read when the Island became extraterritoriality, the world powers or rather every nation on this backwater planet. Had sent in three waves at first from the best they had to offer...and with just five all females were able to withstand, repeal and wipe out all the enemies that came for them. And since then to even know. These nations still send attacks though not as grand as they did during their first three attempts,"

Gid {...I see...keep me updated on this. And if you can ask for the aid of the Second Candidates faction in finding out other things our tech can't just hack into and take whatever we desire. Obviously as an exchange for the information they can expect an alien invasion vying for them just after the agreement with Yuuki Rito concludes,}

Zastin "It will be done, now than anything you wish to tell me? After all, I doubt it was just getting an update and only about potential foolish candidates coming for war a little over six months from now?"

Gid {Right you are so here the thing...} he merely said and began to spill out what he wanted to say for a good 20 or so minutes. Before ending the conversation and waving him off. Thus once the feed ended Zastin let out a tired sigh before one of the crew spoke up

Crew Devilukian women#256 "I guess we're expecting arrivals a lot sooner then?"

Zastin "In a way yes but mostly for the Earth in general, after all. This backwater planet is up for grabs or whatever space-faring race wishes to do with it. We only step in if our charge is put in danger yes?"

All Crew "Understood!" they all said in unison and respect

Zastin (Now then might as well relay this information to the candidates as Gid wished me to. After all, they'll need every advantage they could get. Along with perhaps having Nagumo Hajime. Being an intermediary between them and rulers of both Demon and God Realms seeing as Gid wishes to speak with them.) he merely thought with a slight smile as he disappeared from the bridge

The Deviluke Empire(Within this Story):

Ruled over by Gid Lucinoe Deviluke and his sole queen Sephine Michaela Deviluke. Not many know why the Deviluke Empire came to be besides those within the Royal family and the last of the old Guard like Zastin. Who still live since the Galatic Unification Wars that exploded into what is commonly known as the Univeral War.

In the being many thought the universe knew little of the Deviluke Empire other than what was on the surface. Such as their Gothic-esque culture, the majority of the patent under their direct rule. Is filled with many forests, many high mountains, and very highly advanced technology is one of if not the best within the current universe. With all their citizens and soldiers following a devil or demonic theme as noticeable by their tails.

Like doing so unconsciously to make it similar to their home and center of their empire Planet Deviluke. One of if not the most powerful and defended planets in the universe. Along with one of the biggest trading hubs or tourist destinations despite being the very place where the Royal Family lives and all their forms of government and elite of their military resides

Without their technology, their race is perhaps the best if you desired to have an army out of them. With the second or third barely scrapping their feet as the weakest footsoldier/civilian able to take out multiple towns with ease. With their full power able to take out a dozen or so cities while facing off an army

Their average is able to take out a city or two with ease, while at full power able to take out a small island.

While the best of the best and elites at full power are able to take out a state or small country with ease(California or Japan).

With the outliner or rather what their potential could reach being the likes of Gid and Zastin. With the emperor or King himself able to blow up multiple planets with ease. while Zastin is able to take on a country as his base with his full power able to take on a continent.

Case in point the three Princesses pricing as such well more so the second princess Momo Belia Deviluke. Records show Momo being just under or on par with the White Death himself Zastin despite being so young and having very little experience compared to the White Death.

Only three came close to being as powerful or just under them in terms of raw power and skill as a race. Yet all three of them are the Titans from the deceased Empire of Cronos, The Winged Ones from the deceased Takamagahara Empire, and the Loucs from the deceased Empire of Cyrocrystal. All their races and their empires lost to the universal war at one point or another.

With their remnants of an empire either absorbed by the Devilukian Empire as the case with Takamagahara. That was understandable since Takamagahara Empire was a major benefactor and first ally when the Devilukian Empire. Was just in its infant stages during the first Galatic Unification war of the seven Galatic Unification wars that occurred. Before as maintained ramped up and became soon as the Universal War.

The other two were a free for all on who gets what from everyone. Even small Empires or Systems were born from them gaining their independence as it were since both were enemies of the Devilukain Empire, Takamagahara Empire, or Each other as part of the big three. That was before the Devilukan Empire became so big that it became part of their group changing to the Big Four during the Universal War.

But that isn't the case anymore such as Momo's battle records being known in the first place and recent things. All because of the race for the throne of the greatest empire that rules the universe and brought a relative era of peace never before seen in all of history. Relative in that no universal wars are being fought against anyone by the greats of Empires. As they don't have the manpower, economic stability, political stability, or resources to sustain one like they used to. At least the ones that were left and not erased by the Devilukian Empire.

It is a whole other matter between galaxies, systems, or planetary but not universal. As business and trade boomed with many smaller empires, kingdoms, or systems, even planets thriving in this era of peace. Not really having to worry about goods and such being stolen or taken for "inspections" as it were by those above them.

Such Government of the Devilukian Empire is in Earth's Terms an Absolute Monarchy mixed with a bit of democracy with two separate branches of power under the Emperor. Such as having a Judiciary Branch called Sephine Law and Legislative Branch called People's Chosen. Workin the same as the US branches only more refired but don't have the power to remove Gid from Power. But Gid has an absolute say overall in what gets passed or not

Not that they desired to as they all followed him into his Empire being one of the fairest and safest to be around having only a 1% poverty rate. That's only going down with time as more and more jobs are created. Or said those in Poverty join the military and live their lives till the day they die living a decent life within the military.

Or the fact that the life expended not falling in battle or dying in war from one cause or another. Around 3000 are the most unfortunate to near immortality as is the case with Gid and Sephine. With each of their ages now 100000(Age is unknown so yeah, I made them this old) yet look as young as they do.

The lowest pay within the Devilikan Empire could get you living as a millionaire in Earth standards with the highest excluding the royal family or nobility. A person or civilian who could live within the Empire is a CEO making a billion year by year. Thus people were able to at least own a piece of land to live on and never pay taxes of anyone find to the nobility. The Primary72 Noble Families within the Devliukain Empire run the four political parties within this government. And one who own various planet or systems with the Dukes Owning Galaxies. Having their own Noble families under them helps to manage and keep their citizens safe.

Yet there is obviously a bit of corruption but not to the point where it'll be a detriment to the Devilukan Empire. Said four Political parties the Royals being obvious in what they care about and support. The Arms again began obviously in what their desire and care about, that currently content for now that the Empire is at peace.

The Doves are the main and most vocal one of maintaining peace, being very content. How the empire is currently in being the universe police but wishes it interferes in other lesser Empires, Kingdoms, or Systems affairs. In maintaining true peace as the one and only true Empire there is thinking that all should truly unified into the Devilikan Empire. Not being allowed to exist within their Empire as they are now.

And finally, the Crows wanted the Deviluke Empire to do away with the Absolute Monarchy and become a true Democracy under the people. There have been times when Gid, Doves, Arms, and Royals made choices that the people weren't a fan of. The fact that Gid allows this Party to exist is because he loves such a thing to liven up his Empire. Something that the Crows are grateful for and understand why everyone loves him.

Even they love them but they just can't see the Devilukian Empire exist if it continues the way it is. You may even call them revolutionaries if you will, that are allowed to exist as long. They don't start wars or domestic terrorism or public executions of nobilities. All four parties are surprisingly equal in terms of power and influence across the empire.

As well as Gid the founder and creator of the Dragons Council(Cat Planet Cuites I think) in simple terms. The Devilukian Empire and the new octogram represent the eight powerful Kingdoms or Empires or one system. Decided on universal laws and decided whos still allowed to trade. Or who is not anymore for one reason or another for a certain period of time? The offending violating their decisions and universal law shall be dealt with swiftly and shown no mercy as all nine will bear down upon them in full force. To deal with a harsher punishment if the offense isn't too great or ceases to exist entirely.

The same case is with their military might as well with all knowing that if you mess with the Empire. Or do something to offend them then you can expect the entire universe joying in to attack that foolish person. Or its allies if they have any and cease to exist regardless of any empires, kingdoms, or systems within the entire devilukian empire. Have any grudges, disputes, or hostility with one another, all will stop. For the primary reason of trying to curry favor with the devilukian empire or rather Gid himself. With secondary and so forth reasons playing out as they do as the Devilukain desires no more territory(for now)than they already have.

After all their an empire spanning over 80 billion galaxies within their universe with the milky way being part of said empire. But as mentioned with all being honest all knew the entire universe for the foreseeable centuries was under their rule. Making all other empires, kingdoms, or systems their vessel or commonwealth states to them. The tax revenue they gain from all makes the Devilukian Empire perhaps the wealthiest one out there.

As mentioned their sole military might, and naval might is enough to make anyone think twice about even going against them. Even if they aren't what they used to be during the beginning of the Universal War. They did suffer heavy losses as well but are the sole superpower within the universe after all. As the sole survivor of the big four that once ruled over the universe.

Their Airforce is one of the best there is in the universe from a list of an elite hundred call Wings of Death. That every form of life or government wishes for their airforce to be a part of. Seeing as a great honor as well deterrent to others perhaps thinking about attacking an empire, kingdom, or even planet. That has their Airforce listed on such a list. Not much in known about how much force they could bring if the Devilukain Empire was too mobilize but what is known.

In peacetime, like now the Entire Airforce called Hellfighters number two billion strong which is less. Then the original 20 billion they had before the universal war began. With the full number again being unknown should war break out again. The same could be said of the Naval being called Majesty and the Military called Devils having equal if not slightly above two billion. That's during their peacetime and unknown what they could bring out to bare.

That's just their numbers in general not counting the various craft types, vessel types, weapons, etc. That adds to it and makes them so feared upon the battlefield that not evening the Gid himself needs to show up.

Obviously, those are classified as only known the Devilukian R&D and Gid himself. But what is known and much like all great powers is that at one point or another, they all are allies. And made contact with an unknown entity simply dubbed the Traveler that doesn't come from within their universe. As well as the fact that everyone in the universe knows that only the Devilukian Empire alone is able to fight and defend their universe should hostiles from other universes come in.

As they've done multiple times in the past before the three princess heirs were born. Bringing everyone under their banner to defend their universe but so far never blown out into a full universal war. But still a war nonetheless as many other governments. Would record them as wars after the Universal War while the Devilukian Empire would simply jolt them down as simple skirmishes or a battle. Such is the difference in scale between the Devilukian Empire and everyone else
