Rin's POV
"So, when do you want to start doing the project?" Rinto asked us. Piko thought for a moment,"I don't think doing it on free period would give us much time. At home, I guess. But whose?"
"I live alone, although my house isn't that big." I told them. "I'm sorry, not my house! My parents are kinda going to be a bother since... Um, yeah." Rinto told us.
"Then, let's settle to my house. It's quite big and my parents are away." Piko suggested. "Oh~? We have a rich boy here!" Rinto teased, leaving Piko blushing and arguing him. I sighed. They seem to be good people. I was thinking to even have them as friends or so. It depends on them, anyways… "Rin-san?" I heard Piko's voice perked up. "Hmm?" "What do you think about all of this? Do you think you can manage?"
I was pretty sure he was talking about us going to his house. "Yeah, I can do it. It doesn't matter which house anyways." They both nodded, and soon, it was the end of class. We then all packed up our bags and went out the door. I decided to review the plan now so I wouldn't forget later.
Okay so, Piko thought it would be a lot better to do the project at home. It took a while for us to decide which house though. Then, we settled to go in Piko's house since it was bigger and his parents were away, granting us the privacy – not that kind of privacy, pervert.- and we can concentrate on doing our project. I was pretty sure we could do it in a day or two considering Piko and I are quite smart students. While Rinto, is average but resourceful.
Of course, we decided to go after school until 5:30 pm. I didn't have work today too, so I wouldn't have to worry.
After school, Piko walked us to his home, with a few chats here and there. We just walked in comfortable silence. "Uh, so Rin, tell us about yourself, you didn't really say much on introductions." Rinto perked up, trying to make conversation. It seems as if silence makes him uncomfortable. "There isn't really much to say. What do you want to know about?"
"Hmm… Favorite color?" "Orange."
"Oh, really? How bout you,Piko?" "Eh? Oh, I like silver."
"You guys are boring. Mine's green. Grass kinda green."
And silence was once formed again. After a while, we heard a soft murmur from Piko, "Green is not a creative color…"Rinto stared at him. "DHMIS?" Rinto smiled, "Hell yeah." Then both of them started a conversation about some sort of notebook and a clock, leaving me walking behind them unnoticed. Maybe they didn't want to be friends with me…
And soon, we were at Piko's house. It was..pretty big. Nah, who am I kidding, this guy's rich as heck. It was probably a 4-story. "Woah.." I thought aloud. Piko looked flustered though, "It's a bit embarrassing but, I hope you can feel at home." He told us while opening the door. "Dude, you were actually and really RICH?!"Rinto started to question him. "Well, my dad's the CEO and um.."
"A dad, huh." I thought aloud again. "Rin-san?" Piko and Rinto looked at me. "Yes?" I asked them. "Are you spacing out? You seem to not have joined us on our conversation." Huh. Maybe they did want to be friends. Or just talk. Shut up, Rin. "Oh, sorry. What were you talking about?" I brushed off the conversation I had with my head.
Rinto shrugged, "Anything you want, I guess." I thought for a moment, "Then, do you watch Youtubers?" Rinto and Piko smiled, "Of course." While walking towards Piko's living room, we talked about our favorites. After that, we actually got serious and started planning for the project.
An hour later, Piko and Rinto pestered me about buying the supplies now so that we wouldn't have problems about buying it tomorrow. I hesitated at first, but then thought why not. Piko stayed in the house to continue planning while Rinto and I bought the supplies. On the way there, Rinto started up a conversation. He looks flustered about it though, having a pink tint on his cheeks. He looked to the other side, away from me.
"You know, Rin, I've always admired you." I was surprised at his statement. "What?"
"I mean, you always ignored the bullies and despite all those against you for being –might I say- a perfect student, you still maintained good grades, you're athletic, and you have a good personality. Well, minus the blank face, of course." I blush at those words. I'm glad the teacher grouped them with me. It seems as if I'm going to have friends.
"Th-thank you." I hid my face away from him. I could feel him smile at me. "But, it's not always easy and rainbows. It is very hard to handle those bullies."
"I know."
And with that, we were filled with silence. After a few minutes of walking, we finally got to the supply store. After grabbing the needed supplies, we both argued on who would pay at the counter. We both wanted to pay, but Rinto already did. "I'll pay you back!" "No, really, It's fine!" "But that was a lot to pay!" "Like I said, It's fine!"
Then the arguing ended when we left the store, leaving us with silence once again. This time, no one bothered to speak, as we didn't really know what to say. And soon, we were back at Piko's house. "Welcome back." Piko greeted, smiling. "We're back." We greeted. Then we continued to work on the project.
I yawned and looked at the time. "It's 6:30 pm already?" I looked at the two boys and giggled. "They're sleeping…!" I quietly and quickly packed my bag. I decided to leave the supplies for the projects with Piko's considering we were going there tomorrow. I quickly wrote a note saying I left to go home.
I smiled at them, thinking that, maybe, just maybe. My life started working and I finally gained myself some friends!
After telling a maid that I was going to leave, forgetting the time and sleeping during planning the project, I went to my house in a happy and giggly mood. I walked on a safe path that I found myself, no gangs or mysterious people, just a few street lights showing the way. I finally got to my house.
I turned on the lights and made my way to my room. I dropped my bags, changed to night clothes, and dropped myself on my bed. "So~ Comfortable~" I shuffled around my bed until I found a perfect spot. And then I immediately went to sleep thinking, "What a wonderful day."

Author's POV
Rin left her house to go to school in a refreshing mood, causing her to look livelier than usual. She met Piko and Rinto along the way, asking them how yesterday went when after she left. "Well, let's just say Rinto panicked a lot and kept saying how his mother is going to kill him." We all laughed, including Rinto. I found it easier to ignored the whispers now, I could barely even hear them! That was great. Life is great.
We went to our lockers, which were surprisingly close. Rinto, two lockers away from mine on the left, and Piko, the same but on the right. Then I heard people shouting in excitement. I turned around, curious on what the hell it was. "Who's that?" I asked aloud. Piko went over to me, "That's Len Kagene. He's the most popular guy in the school."
"But, he doesn't look like he enjoys it though. He always brushes them off and ignoring them." Rinto told me. "That seems weird. Mostly, guys who are popular with girls are usually flirts. Guess not everyone popular guy is the same." I commented. "Agreed." They both nodded.
After that we went to our homeroom classes. Rinto and I we're the same but Piko's, in another. As we were walking to our class, I asked Rinto something, "Hey Rinto.." I started. "Hmm?"
"Are we.. friends?" Rinto stared at me, before smiling. "Of course we are! With Piko!" I smiled at that. "Then, that's good." And soon, we got to class and went to our individual seats.
BRRRIIIINGGGG!
And soon, class ended. After that, Rin and Rinto went to their next class together with Piko. Then, lunch.
(A/N: You weren't expecting such a long chapter, were you? Well, too bad you're getting more because the internet's down and I couldn't update the next chapter. Now you have to bear with me writing such a long chappie.)
*-*-*-SKIP TO LUNCH TIME CAUSE I'M LAZY*-*-*
Rin immediately grabbed her things, packed them, and got ready for lunch. Her stomach has been growling at her all day. She went over to Rinto and Piko. Piko looked flustered and Rinto has a big grin on his face. "Hey guys." Rin greeted with a small smile. She could feel whispers around the cafeteria, most on why she was actually hanging out with people. She ignored them though.
"Hey Rin~" Rin greeted back cheerfully, the grin still on his face. "H-hey.." Piko looks away, embarrassed. "By the waaayy~ Piko and I has a secret to tell you!" Rinto perked, excited. I almost giggled at their behavior. "What is it?"
"Don't tell her!" Piko tried stopping Rinto. Too bad, cause he ain't listening. "Piko has a crush!" Rinto excitedly whispered to Rin. "Oh really?" Rin took a seat next to Rinto. "Yeah yeah! And it's with someone in his math class!" Piko looked really embarrassed now. Rin could feel he regretted telling Rinto. "Geez! I told you not to tell!" Piko looked annoyed with Rinto. "Well, it's with Rin so it's okay!" Piko pouted.
Piko looked over to me and leaned over closer. "Her name is Miki." He told me quietly. "She seems like a nice person." I commented. 'Well, I've only known Piko for a day or so but I know he wouldn't crush on a stuck up girl.' Rin thought.
They all put out their lunch boxes and started to eat. In the middle of it though, Rinto spoke up. "I have an idea." Piko and I stared at him. "What are you planning?" Rinto grinned. "Piko and Miki Love Plan."
Rin looked over to Piko, immediately knowing what his reaction was going to be.
*-*-*-*- TIME SKIP AGAIN BECAUSE IM LAZY!~*-*-*-*
On the walk to Piko's house, Piko kept complaining to Rinto while Rinto just kept on laughing and explaining the plan while Rin just watched them. She liked how active those two can get. But really, a plan to get Piko and Miki together? It wasn't surprising, coming from Rinto. Piko kept pestering to Rinto until they finally reached his house.
Rinto and Rin breathed a sigh of relief as Piko calmed down and opened the door for them in silence.
They started on the project immediately, with a few chit-chats here and there. But, Rin and Piko wanted to get the project done early, much to Rinto's displeasure. Hours passed and it was now 5:46 pm. Rin and Rinto didn't worry though. Rin had no work while Rinto told his parents he would come home later than yesterday. The finished the project, to all's relief and pleasure.
Piko offered for them to watch some movies, or play some games. Rin tried to refuse but Rinto already beat her to it by agreeing. And so, the trio watched movies, played games, and had fun in Piko's house until they got tired and went for a nap.
As Rin awoke from her nap, she started feeling déjà vu. Her waking up and seeing the two boys fast asleep, then packing up her bags and telling the maid she would go home. But not before leaving a note though, of course. As Rin walked through the chilly night streets, she couldn't help but feel something. She quickly brushed it off though. She just went to her house, and got a good nights' sleep. Today was another good day.
Rin walked through the halls of her school, reading another novel in sequel of the first one she just read. She sighed, "To be honest, this book is starting to get boring."
She then quickened her pace to the cafeteria, whereas her two friends are waiting for her. "Helloooo~" Rinto greeted. "Hello."
"Rin." Piko called out. "Hmm?" Rin hummed as she took out her lunch box. "I think I may actually agree on Rinto." Piko said. Before he stated it, however, Rin had stuffed her mouth with rice. As she heard that, she coughed and choked. She wouldn't stop choking so Rinto and Piko suddenly went on full panic mode and went to get her some water and patted her back. After she calmed, she drank some water first and cleared her throat. She looked at Piko seriously until it broke into disbelief. "Are you serious?!"
Piko looked up at her, his stare dead serious and determination completely in her view. "Yes."
