Two Days Later…

Nicole and Charlie pulled up in front of their house to find a big 'Welcome Home Hannah and Alyssa' banner out front along with pink balloons and everyone coming out of the house. Nicole parked and turned to Charlie before asking, "Babe, how did everyone gain access to our house?"

"I don't know," said Charlie trying to suppress a grin.

"Really? You don't know?" asked Nicole sarcastically.

"I may have given a certain wife of a Lieutenant General my keys," said Charlie.

"Oh Charlie," Nicole sighed as they both got out and took the twins out of their car seats, "Hey baby girls, welcome home," Nicole cooed at them.

The couple walked into the house to a round of applause. Charlie beamed and even Nicole smiled a little, "Congratulations and welcome home," said Roland.

"Thanks Dr. B," said Charlie.

"And welcome to parenthood," said Roxy, "The land of sleepless nights and midnight feedings."

"Roxy," scolded Denise jokingly.

"What it's true," said Roxy.

"She's not wrong," said Jackie, "And with any luck, they won't be colicky."

"Aw, yes, Jeremy was colicky," chuckled Denise.

"So were both Patrick and Sophie," said Jackie, "Whatever Kevin and I did they wouldn't stop crying. Kevin was sure Patrick hated him at first."

"Makes me thankful that Amanda and Emmalin were pretty quiet as infants," said Claudia Joy.

"Amen to that," said Roxy.

"Well can we see them?" asked Gloria excitedly.

Nicole chuckled, "Yes but could you calm down? It's Charlie's job to be the most hyper of all of us."

"Don't give me attitude Niki," said Charlie passing off Hannah to Gloria.

"Awe. They're adorable," said Gloria "Makes me want to have a baby."

"You better make sure that's what you really want though because once the kid arrives, they're not going anywhere for quite a while," laughed Roxy cradling Alyssa.

"Yeah, I know. But it doesn't matter because I honestly don't think Hector is ready for kids yet," sighed Gloria sadly.

"He'll get there. Frank didn't want kids at first either. Kind of funny how it worked out though since Jeremy was born seven month to our wedding day," said Denise.

"Seven months?" asked Gloria skeptically.

"He was two months premature," said Claudia Joy clarifying Gloria's assumption.

"Joan didn't want kids either but it happened and now she loves them," said Roland, "It just might take some time."

Gloria nodded as Hannah started to cry. And almost like they were in sync, Alyssa started to cry as well.

"I think they're hungry," said Charlie as Nicole and she took the twins back. Everyone else took that as their cue to leave.

"Well, see you guys soon," said Roland and he looked at Charlie, "Are you feeling better?"

"A little sore," Charlie admitted.

"Well take it easy," said Roland, "Or as much as you can."

"I'll make sure she does Dr. Burton," said Nicole.

"Coming from the same person who went to work after getting shot in the leg," said Charlie.

Roland smiled and said, "See you Charlie, Nicole. Good luck!"

"What why?" asked Charlie.

"You'll see!" he said.

Nicole looked down at her baby girls and realized how much they looked like Charlie, "You can tell you're their Mommy."

"You're their Mommy too," said Charlie following Nicole upstairs.

"Well, you can tell you're their biological Mommy," said Nicole, "They both have your nose and smile."

"And my brother's. And my sister's," laughed Charlie.

Nicole chuckled lightly, "No wonder we have multiples babe. With you being a triplet."

"And you girls have two Mommies that will spoil you. And an Auntie Mikayla and an Uncle Alex that will spoil you. And an Auntie Joan and Uncle Roland…"

"Okay, they get it honey," interrupted Nicole lightly, "Can you please feed them so we can go to bed? And try to get some sleep?"

"Relax Niki," said Charlie unbuttoning her blouse, "I got this." Charlie fed the twins and the couple rocked the twins to sleep before getting dressed for bed themselves. Charlie snuggled next to Nicole and started kissing her temple, "You know it's been a long time since we've snuggled in bed together."

"Yeah, and just the two of us. Without our daughters between us," smiled Nicole, "not that I don't love our baby girls…"

"I know what you mean. It was impossible to snuggle when I was the size of a small house," chuckled Charlie.

Nicole kissed Charlie, "You were beautiful. And you still are." The two of them deepened the kiss and Charlie started pulling off Nicole's pajama top when the couple heard an infant crying from the nursery.

"Maybe if we stay quiet, she'll go to sleep," whispered Charlie but the crying became louder.

"Now I know what Dr. Burton meant by good luck," said Nicole untangling from Charlie.

"In the words of Effie Trinket from The Hunger Games, 'May the odds be ever in your favor,;" said Charlie leaving the room.
