Angel: So...the final episode of the show. Honestly, it's more tragic than sad since most people know about the show not getting a proper finale because after season 2 it was cancelled, but they aired season 3 like 3 years later. This was always one of my favorite Nicktoons, and like with other shows that ended too soon, you'd think I'd stop here with this show, right?
Nope!
Stay tuned because I'm not done with the story just yet. What will I do? Well, for the first time ever in 7 years, I'm actually going to write my own fourth season, and it will be the final one. It will take me hopefully a week or two, I've got a lot going on right now.
Also I'm sorry for posting this a day late, I picked up a shift yesterday and it got so crazy that I just did not feel like finishing the chapter. But that's okay because I found a new job anyway! See you guys later!
The Invention Convention is today, people looking at all of the creations. "And as it turns, it looks like Arnold. Remember Arnold?"
"And if you wanna see sneakers get real clean..."
"And in that other space movie, when they used that big pump thing..."
"You won't overshadow me at this year's Invention Convention, Nora," Mogg declares while standing underneath a solar panel. "As my machine eliminates shadows," He smiles as he turns on a lamp.
"Mogg's device is a great introduction to my latest invention. A way to dispose of useless trash!" Nora smirks as Jenny walks over with a full trash can. She puts it down underneath Nora's invention, which looks like a giant snake with fake teeth. "Now, observe how quickly my machine eats this trash can." She pushes the button but nothing happens. She chuckles nervously and starts sweating, pressing the button multiple times. "Well, it worked fine this morning."
The machine bends down, but it sounds as if it was rusty and doesn't eat the trash can. Nora glares up at it, shaking a fist. "Come on, come on!" She slams down the button this time, and then it grabs a pillar instead. "Turn off! Turn off!" She shouts rapidly and then the thing eats her! Jenny flinches in alarm, flying upwards and grabbing the tail.
"Spit her out! Spit her out!" The machine wags its tail, slithering off and making a hole in the floor. Everyone panics as it tunnels underneath the ground, popping back up. People scream and run away while the invention continues slithering, Jenny hanging on the entire time. It eats one of the inventions like it's corn, and it makes dinging noises. Then it goes to another machine, slurping a pipe like a noodle.
"No! My life's work!"
Then it swallows Mogg's solar panel and lamp. "WAKEMAN!" He shouts in anger at this.
"Don't you worry about nothing, y'all," A man says while making his teddy bear a cannon. "My invention will blow that thing to smithereens!" He aims at the machine, but gets it taken away. "What the-?!"
"You can't shoot it!" She yells, twisting the weapon. "My mom's inside!" She places her finger to her ear to contact Amy. "Amy, emergency. I need you at the Invention Convention now!"
"XJ9, can you read me?!" Nora shouts from her phone while being shaken inside.
"Mom, are you alright?" Jenny asks into her phone.
"XJ9, darling, I was just wondering-" A pillar hits her in the face. "Why aren't you shooting this thing?!"
"But I thought—ooh!" She groans in annoyance, summoning her gun. She shoots the invention and it moves away. She continues firing, but the thing is so fast, she can't get a hit on it. Everyone leaves the building as Jenny's lasers are damaging the building. Amy flies in and gasps at what's happening.
"Oh no..." She groans in realization and flies in.
"What are you doing, Nora?" The invention's AI asks as she's fiddling with the control panel. "I am just trying to complete my mission." She pulls the wires and shuts it down. "Daisy, Daisy, give me... Then the thing finally lands on the ground, throwing up Nora covered in oil.
"Looks like I'm too late to the party, huh?" Amy asks nervously while landing next to Jenny.
"Your machine ate my invention, Nora!" Mogg accuses her angrily.
"Mine was destroyed!"
"Mine too!" The man whose cannon Jenny destroyed chimes in. They all start throwing things at her.
"I-I'm sorry! I accept full responsibility! I'll pay for everything!" A tomato lands on her face. Skyway Patrol comes in, being led by Amy's parents. She glances to the side and sees them, pinching her nose.
"Oh, no, just what we needed..." She murmurs to herself, Aurelia standing by Nora and catching a tomato. Everyone flinches and stops what they're doing. The woman then looks down at Amy knowingly.
"Is this another...you-know-what?" She asks slowly, and Amy nods as she knows what she's referring to. By this point, she and her family are used to Nora's experiments reacting badly since it always affects their house, so they didn't even need to question what happened here. Aurelia then turns to the crowd.
"We'll be taking statements and questioning all of you on what exactly happened," She starts writing off. "And then we'll go from there if legal action needs to be taken." Nora gulps at the possibility of being sued by these people.
Jenny and Amy fly away in Amy's parents' ship as they were going to escort them home. "How humiliating," Nora laments as she has tomato juice on her face. "No one's ever thrown tomatoes at me before." Jenny and Amy look at her sadly.
"At least we were able to convince them not to seek lawsuits," Dan smiles nervously while driving.
"I'm not sure that's something we can celebrate too much," Aurelia rubs a temple since the people still aren't satisfied with how they're handling it.
"Come back here, coward!" Someone from the angry mob below calls out.
"This is an outrage!" Mogg adds in. "Hiding behind friends at Skyway Patrol?!"
"I'm gonna settle the score if it's the last thing I do!"
"Oh, dear," Nora is shaking in her bedroom. "After all the excitement, I don't think I'll ever get to sleep." She then falls asleep anyway as she falls onto the pillow next to her. She snores, her chest rising up and down. She then turns to lay on her back, hearing a creak. "Who's there?!" She wakes up in alarm, and sees XJ1 staring at her. "Oh, it's just you, XJ1. How did you get activated?" The baby robot then opens her mouth to spray oil onto Nora. She hops into Nora's mouth, the woman standing up to tug at her oval-shaped form. She gives herself the Heimlich maneuver to get XJ1 out. The robot lands on the floor nearby. XJ1 then cracks open like an egg and somehow releases the yolk onto the floor. "What's gotten into you?"
A laser shoots past her and hits the wall, leaving a hole. The next laser goes through her hair and hits the wall again. She turns to the person responsible and sees XJ2 firing right at her. She screams in alarm and runs off, skidding to a stop. She opens a closet, which releases a lot of yellow shoes. She goes to another door, which has a lot of fireworks. "Why did I let Tuck and Piri store their fireworks in here?" She asks with a deadpan look. She goes to the last door, which has a tiger and her hair stands on end. She then slams the door shut. She jumps to the ceiling fan and hangs onto it until XJ2 shoots it down. She goes flying like a helicopter, Jenny opening the door to knock her sister away.
"What's going on?" She wonders and looks to her right. "XJ2?" Her sister goes flying past the tiger, and into the fireworks room. She fires inside of there and causes an explosion, blowing half their house off. Some of the debris hits the windows from Amy's house, breaking all of them. The Smith family all sit up in alarm from their beds, all of them sighing knowingly.
"Mooom!" Piri shouts from her bedroom. "Nora's invention blasted my safe!"
"Why do you have a safe?" Dan responds back in a warning tone.
"Are you trying to sell illegal fireworks again?" Aurelia asks and Piri flinches.
"Uhh, no!" She tosses her destroyed safe out her window, whistling innocently.
"Oops," Jenny smiles sheepishly at Amy's house. "But what was that all about?"
"XJs 1 and 2 are malfunctioning," Nora explains to her while Amy steps out of her home. She looks up and does a double take as she sees Nora's house.
"I'll say. But why?" Jenny wonders and then they hear a growl. They turn around to see an angry XJ3. "XJ3! Not you too!"
XJ3 summons a scorpion's tail, the tail end spinning around to be a saw blade. She reaches towards Nora, who jumps up. Jenny grabs her mother and holds her above her head. She then stomps on XJ3 to stop her. "What the heck is happening?!" Jenny asks in disbelief as Amy flies up in her suit.
"I'll say. Why are your sisters acting out like this?" She gestures to the robot pile on the floor.
"They seem to be targeting me. But I can't imagine why," Nora frowns deeply, since they are her creations...then again, there was L'il Acorn.
"Gee, maybe because you keep 'em in the cellar with the lights off 24/7," Jenny brings up casually.
"Yeah, can't see anyone actually wanting that lifestyle, especially if they're a robot," Amy rolls her eyes to the back of her head.
"That's never bothered them before. It's almost like someone or something is-" Suddenly a vacuum grabs her by the hair, the girls flinching at XJ4.
"I'll clean your clock, Mama!" She threatens and then sucks up Nora. The two reach in and pull her out, the woman's hair a mess.
"Give it up, XJ4," Jenny threatens while standing up.
"Whatever it is you're angry about, there's no reason to take it out on your own creator!" Amy gestures to Nora.
"Don't get in the way, XJ9 and Amelia, or I'll put you through the wringer!" She holds up several cleaning spray bottles. Amy blinks in confusion that the robot is using her full name, something that none of them have ever done. XJ4 growls while rolling forward and spraying them.
"Just stop it!" Jenny knocks one away with her hand. XJ4 backs away, holding a broom.
"He will never stop until Mom is destroyed!" She spins it like a bo staff. "Time for a clean sweep!"
"He? He who?" Jenny stares at her sister as she rolls up and hits the both of them with the broom on their heads. However, since it's made out of wood and the girls have heavier material, it doesn't affect them in the slightest. "Is someone making you do this?" The broom snaps in half.
"If so, that's your mother. He's not worth all the trouble," Amy shakes her head as the broom does nothing. "And it's gonna take more than a broom to affect us."
"I'll never tell," XJ4 denies while leaving, annoying them. She comes back with a feather duster to hit them with. "Take that! Another one bites the dust!" Amy spins and kicks the same time Jenny punches XJ4, knocking her into Nora's shoe closet. "Ooh, once I finish sorting all these shoes, you're done for!"
"Yeah, you're gonna be a while," Amy comments while crossing her arms.
"You really think someone is controlling them?" Jenny wonders while staring at the door.
"I don't know, but we need to turn off your other sisters ASAP!" Nora tells her in a warning tone.
"Right!" Jenny turns into a drill and goes through the floor. Amy facepalms at this.
"Must you drill your way into the basement?!" Nora shouts down the hole. "I have enough holes in my house!"
"We could've just used the door!" Amy adds in, sighing and running past the hole. Jenny comes up from behind her mother, her pigtails making up a drill.
"Fine! We'll take the stairs!" She runs past her mother, who groans at this. Jenny runs down the staircase, skidding to a stop as she sees her sisters. Amy is starting from XJ8 and working her way up already. Jenny turns off XJ5, and then XJ6. Amy turns off XJ7, and all the robots fall to the ground once they're off. Jenny glances behind her and gasps as XJ5 is somehow missing. "XJ5!"
They hear a scream from upstairs, looking up at the ceiling. Nora screams loudly as XJ5 is chasing her down the hallway. Jenny and Amy skid around the corner, looking at the two. Nora skids to a stop near a fire extinguisher, grabbing it and smacking XJ5 with it. She plays music as she comes up again, only to be hit a second time. Then some pop music plays as she comes back a second time, Nora knocking her back. Before she could get another hit from Nora, the girls grab her and toss her to a wall.
"Time to turn it down a notch, XJ5."
She stays silent, playing ominous music while coming near them. The two double punch XJ5 to the wall again, and this time she breaks into pieces. She plays sad music from her defeat. "We can't just keep fighting them one by one. We have to find out who's behind this before I become an only child. Or an orphan."
"Or before you get controlled next, he could easily do the same thing to you if he's doing it to your sisters," Amy points out to her.
"XJ5's circuitry is much more sophisticated than the earlier XJs. This must be someone with a great deal of scientific knowledge," Nora rubs her chin in thought, and then gasps in realization. "The Invention Convention!"
They fly over to the destroyed building. "So what are we looking for?" Nora wonders as they run inside.
"I don't know, a clue, a hint, something," Jenny shrugs at her a little.
"By the criteria we're looking at, it could've been anyone from the mob. Because that helps," Amy rubs a temple. A dark shadow jumps on top of the destroyed roof and then lands behind some debris. She crawls around like a spider, running up to reveal herself as XJ6. Nora yells in fear and runs off. XJ6 tackles the two to the ground.
"Well, if it isn't Mommy's favorite and her friend!"
"Alright, XJ6, who's controlling you?" Jenny demands from the ground.
"Oh, wouldn't you like to know so you can step in and save the day? It's always XJ9 and Amelia, the big heroes! And what are the rest of us, chopped liver?!" She shouts down at them in response. Amy lifts up her legs and kicks her off, followed by Jenny pushing her to the ground. XJ6 grabs a pipe, Jenny and Amy grabbing crowbars. They jump up and clash together just like swords. They land safely back on the ground, both of them blocking blows and flipping around. They continue tool-fighting until they knock XJ6 off her feet. They pick her up using the crowbars and toss her to the wall. "You think that's enough to beat us?" She laughs evilly at the two. "You will never-" The wall starts to crack around her and then it falls over her. Suddenly a pair of hands breaks through the wall behind Nora and grabs her, dragging her away. She gasps once she realizes who it is.
"XJ7!" She exclaims in shock as the robot is glaring at her angrily while holding her.
"This is the end, mother. I'm going to destroy you. I'm-I—oh, who am I kidding?" She places down Nora safely. "I can't even be evil in a convincing way. Why did he pick me?" She covers her eyes, lamenting. "I'm worthless. Prepare for self-destruct." She gives off beeping noises, alarming Nora. Jenny and Amy run over as they hear the noise, grabbing the robot. They toss her out the hole and she explodes. Her head falls back inside, landing near the girls as she's missing a tooth and one of her pigtails is now gone. "Oh, I'm such a loser. I can't even self-destruct right."
"Honestly, watching this is just making me depressed and reminding me of when I first transitioned," Amy comments to Jenny while staring at the head.
"Okay, I think we should leave before XJ8 shows up," Jenny states while looking behind her.
"Yes, I see your point," Nora speaks up while sitting on the floor, messing with a circuit board. "She's a lot stronger than you two are combined."
"Yeah," Jenny narrows her eyes a bit in suspicion. "Why is it that you made me so much weaker than XJ8?"
"Well, I had to remove some of your strength to make room for your teenage foils and your quirky sense of humor, didn't I?" The woman replies back with a smile. Amy blinks in shock, wondering if Jenny wouldn't have gotten into so much trouble as she has without those two elements.
"Whoa. I think you just blew my mind, Ms. Wakeman," She murmurs to herself.
"But we may not have to leave. I think I can make a signal blocking device from these spare parts. We may be able to stop-" A shake interrupts her, and they flinch in alarm. "X...J...8," The woman finishes nervously. XJ8 pops out from the ground, right underneath her creator. She turns her head around in a 180 circle.
"I have come to destroy our mother. Where is she?" She asks the girls, who look at her nervously.
"Umm, heh heh heh..." Jenny then glares at her intensely. "She's right over there," She points behind her. "But you'll have to go through us to get to her!"
"I accept your challenge," XJ8 fully gets out of the hole, knocking Nora to the ground. The two ready their fists as the taller and larger robot looms over them. She steps forward, and the two punch her in the face. She uses both fists to attack, and the two duck underneath her arms. The two then flinch as XJ8 raises her fists and they jump over them. XJ8 presses her hands together to try and hit their heads together. The two duck and then dodge XJ8's kicks. They look up as she holds up her arms and spins them around rapidly. The girls back away while on the ground, eventually stopping. XJ8 picks them both up, using Amy to knock Jenny on the head repeatedly.
Nora glances back in fear for the two, going back to her circuit board. "Why is this happening?! Who's responsible for this?!" She shouts at the top of her lungs.
"I am!" A new voice calls out, getting her attention. Nora's invention from earlier appears and opens up to reveal Dr. Locus! Nora gasps sharply as she sees him.
"...And, who are you exactly?" She asks after a few seconds.
"I am Dr. Locus, master scientist," He introduces himself with a smile.
"We've tangled with him before," Jenny answers as the girls duck from XJ8. "More like mad scientist."
"Who can't even keep a robot daughter home," Amy smirks, taking satisfaction as the scientist growls, knowing that she's talking about Melody.
"A level, b level, give me a ballpark here," Nora deadpans at the two.
"No one ever wanted my inventions," Dr. Locus starts off his monologue. "They thought the other inventions were so much better. But I have bested them all with this!" He holds up a remote control.
"A remote control?" Nora looks disinterested as she's technically holding one herself.
"It's not a remote control. It's the remote control. It controls all inventions, not just robots. As I so aptly demonstrated at the Invention Convention when I took over this Eatamatronic thingy."
"It was you!" Nora realizes now what happened with her invention earlier.
"Yes, it was a great exercise and a way to knock out my competition. This baby's gonna sell like hot cakes!" He smiles evilly at his remote.
"Wait a minute," Jenny speaks while the duo dodge XJ8. "You mean that you risked my mom's life and made me fight my only sisters for a sales gimmick?" She asks as the two spin the larger robot around, tossing her up to the sky.
"Fool! I control all inventions, including gravity," He smirks while pressing a button, making XJ8 land...on top of him. She then shuts down, Nora looking at him in disdain.
"You nincompoop. Gravity isn't an invention, it's a law of nature!"
He crawls himself out, using the remote while pointing at her. She flinches and presses the button from her own remote. "Too late! The transmission is already been set."
"To what?" Jenny asks in confusion.
"To the last inventions. What makes you think I'd stop at XJ8, or the intricate works of a metal suit to give a human girl your abilities?" He narrows his eyes in a knowing way.
"Oh no!" Jenny exclaims as Amy opens her mouth in shock. She didn't realize until now that since she is wearing an invention by Sheldon, it counts! The two shake and their colors change to bright red. Nora drops her remote and runs off.
"I hope you got jam in your pockets because you're toast!" Dr. Locus grins as he watches her run past him. She hides behind some debris and a blast occurs soon after.
"Mom!" Jenny cries out as she's unable to stop.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Wakeman, I can't gain back control on anything!" Amy looks at her screens as they're all flashing red. The cannon drops and some missiles are summoned. Two of them fire and Jenny tries to hold herself back. She punches her arm as Amy fires a laser. Jenny's foot turns into a laser as well, Amy smacking the gun off her. Both of them try to shield themselves, before standing up and holding out their arms.
"We're coming to destroy you, Mom! Run!" She shouts while moving.
"Think of something quick before I go to jail for murder!" Amy adds in, gritting her teeth at Dr. Locus enjoying this.
"Faster, robot girls. Faster!"
"When...I...survive...this...you're...dead!" Amy threatens while walking past him. They catch up to the sprinting Nora, chasing her all around the debris, over and under.
"Okay, that's enough running around. Let's see some more weapons," Dr. Locus smirks as he presses another button. Cannons appear from Jenny's head and Amy's helmet, which the latter didn't even know was possible with her suit. They fire some saws at Nora, who dodges and jumps over them, running past the two. They continue firing at her and she goes past Dr. Locus. She runs in front of the man, jumping up and down while waving her arms. She ducks as one of the saws takes out the remote, and she runs off again. Nora glances past her to see the two shadows still following her. Jenny extends her arms and grabs Nora. She brings her mother closer...and gives her a hug. Jenny smiles as she and Amy are back to normal, Nora sighing in relief.
"Thanks, Ms. Wakeman," Amy smiles in relief at the woman.
"No! No!" Dr. Locus shouts in agony. "My beautiful invention! You've reduced it to garbage!"
"Good!" The brunette retorts, hands on her hips. Nora's invention looms over him and then eats him.
"Hopefully we can hold him in there long enough so that he can not only pay for the damages to the Convention, but Amelia's house as well." Jenny and Amy open their mouths in shock at Nora's statement, grinning and giving each other a high-five.
"Ms. Wakeman, you are awesome!"
"Oh, thank you, dearie," Nora smiles at Amy.
"I fought Jenny harder," XJ6 brags as her head is on a table.
"No, you didn't," XJ8 retorts to her.
"Can I have more confidence this time?" XJ7 wonders as they're all getting rebuilt. The whole Smith family is helping out as well, since Nora did get Dr. Locus to pay for their house.
"Can I squirt scrubbing bubbles?" XJ4 asks in excitement.
"Well, everything will be soon back to normal," Nora smiles at the Smith family and robots. Suddenly the tiger swallows her whole, Jenny and Amy recoiling back with wide eyes. "Girls, did you forget to feed the tiger?"
"...Nora, I think we should have a talk about the tiger," Aurelia deadpans at the woman.
"Can I have one?" Piri raises her hand.
"No!" Everyone shouts at her, even the XJs.
