Buck walked into the firehouse, carrying a small firefighter pendant to give to Eddie. He had been wanting to give it to him ever since Eddie joined the Fire Department, but today seemed like the perfect time to do so.
Eddie walked out from behind a table in the middle of the station when he saw Buck, and said, "Hey! What are you doing here?" His senses going crazy as he got closer.
Buck was surprised and quickly hid the pendant. "Oh I'm just looking for Bobby, but if he isn't around, I'll definitely stick around and hang out." He lied, wanting to surprise Eddie at the end of his shift.
Eddie let out a little laugh, and Buck couldn't help but love that sound. "Come on, I'll take you back to him," Eddie said with a smile as he started walking. Buck followed, making sure to tuck the pendant into his pocket.
Bobby looked up from a stack of paperwork he was working on when he heard a knock on his door. "Come in," he said, and Buck entered, closing the door behind him. "What's up?" Bobby asked. "Nothing," Buck replied, "but I had to tell Eddie I had to speak to you." "Why?" Bobby questioned. "Because I need to surprise him."
Bobby nodded and got up from his desk. "Well, let's surprise him then." Bobby said as he led the way. They got to the room Eddie was in, and Bobby walked in with Buck close behind him. "Hey! I have a surprise for you!" Bobby said with a smile.
Eddie turned around from where he was standing at a table with his back to Bobby and Buck. When he saw them, he smiled widely and asked his skin itching with the need to touch Buck, "What are you doing back here?"
Buck pulled the pendant from his pocket and held it up in front of him. "I brought this for you," he said. "You've been wanting a firefighter pendant ever since you became a firefighter, and I wanted you to have this." He explained as Eddie walked over to him and took the pendant. Eddie almost claimed Buck right there but if Buck wanted to do it the right way so be it.
"Thank you, Buck," he said as he wrapped his arms around him. Buck hugged Eddie back, not wanting to let go of the man. He wished the moment would last forever, but it didn't.
Eddie pulled back and said, "Come over after my shift."
Buck smiled and said, "Okay! I'll see you then." He couldn't wait to spend more time with Eddie.
When Buck arrived at Eddie's house, he knocked on the door and waited for what seemed like an eternity before hearing Eddie approach from within.
Eddie opened the door and smiled at Buck. "Hey! Come on in." He said as he stepped aside for Buck to enter.
Buck stepped in and took off his shoes. "Hey. It's so homey here." And well if that doesn't drive Eddie's instincts up the fucking wall.
"You want a beer and also Christopher is here too." Eddie said trying not to let Buck want to leave. "Sure and if Chris is here we can watch a movie and order takeout?"
"Yeah that sounds nice. I can order Thai if you want to go get Chris and pick a movie." Eddie said as he stared at Buck. "Yeah that works."
When Eddie ordered the food and came back to the living room with beers for him and Buck, he froze. Buck and Chris were sitting in a nest on the floor and damn did he have to hold back some of his more primal thoughts in front of his son.
Later once the food gets there they eat up watching How To Train Your Dragon and Chris fell asleep. So Eddie took him to bed and came back out.
"Hey, Did you want to spend the night I know you've had at least 3 beers?" Eddie asked as he sat back down. "Yeah but I'll make breakfast to make us even."
