Katniss' POV

Gale and I found a cave to hide in. I decided I was going to go out and get some food.

"Where do you think your going missy?" Asked Gale

"To get food." I replied sharply

"What do you want? He asked me

"Whatever there is." I said but that second Peeta sent me soup

I knew Gale and I decided in allies but I couldn't help but think I needed to leave him and fend for myself. I thought about this almost all night. How many people would love to kill a 7 almost 8 months pregnant women, I was the easy target.

I ate my soup quietly and then Gale was sent soup.

"So Catnip there are 24 tributes. I've heard 20 cannons go off, is my math right?" Gale questioned

I thought about this to see if I should lie but all I said was, "Yeah, we have to find out where they are at, and figure out how to..." I trailed off

"Their off to the right about 100 feet." Gale said

"Okay so let's go. You run first and I go behind you with my bow and shoot them." I said and he agreed he ran and I tried to keep up but that was one of the things about being pregnant. You can't run fast.

I looked to my right and saw a girl charging and me with a knife, I shot her with my now and shake took care of the other guy.

We were the only ones left.

"Catnip, we did it!" Gale said happy then continued. "I think we both knew it was going to be one of us. It's going to be me, then I can get back to 12 and do to Peeta what I do to you. But first let's have fun, come on Catnip take your clothes." He said

"No!" I said as I drew back my bow and then suddenly Gale grabbed it and snapped it over his leg. I was screwed.

Peeta's POV

I was watching this on the train with Haymitch and I knew he was trying to kill her. I couldn't watch my pregnant wife be killed. She was crying and trying to fight Gale.

He laid her down and sat on top of her, thankfully not out her stomach. He kissed her and she tried to push him off but he was too strong for her. Then he pulled out his knife; with a 10 inch blade. He pulled it up right over her stomach and I covered one eye and could barely watch. Then Katniss said, "You bastard!"

He moved the knife to her throat and then...
