Chapter 1: A New Beginning
Here's Chapter 1 of my story The Blessed Child, please enjoy!
It has been 10 years. And Issei has now grown to be a young adult. He is currently a second year high school student who is experiencing the springtime of his youth. He studies at Kuoh Academy which was originally an all girls private school, but at some point in time they changed it into a co-ed.
The reason why he enrolled in this school together with his two friends was to see all the beautiful girls in the academy.
The three of them were called the perverted trio of Kuoh Academy, with issei being called the perverted beast. But even though he was a pervert all he ever did was peep on the kendo girls with his friends, but sometimes he could not even peep since he is always blocked by Matsuda, and Motohama. But his favorite of course are breasts, his father loved them, and his grandpa loved them as well, it was almost a hereditary within their family.
All of this was just a normal day for Issei until one day where a certain event will change it forever.
It was a normal day in Kuoh Academy. The classes were finished which means students were now free to do whatever they want, the students without clubs return to their homes, while the students who are members of a club went into their respective clubhouses.
There was the Manga Research Club, a club in which students can read and make manga of their own.
The Photo Club, a club dedicated for students who wants to take on photography
The Girl's Kendo Club where girl students can practice kendo.
The Student Council, the council which attempts to keep order within the school grounds.
And finally the most famous club of them all was the Occult Research Club, a club which focuses on various research on Occult. Many would be weirded out by a club that explores the Occult, but the reason why this club was so popular is because it was created by the two most gorgeous girls of Kuoh Academy which were Rias Gremory, and Akeno Himejima.
Many attempted to join the club but they were all rejected for some odd reason.
But that's enough for clubs for now.
For now we focus on the kendo club where currently 3 people are currently on the other side and are trying to peek from the hidden hole in their clubhouse.
"Ohhh! Murayama seriously has big tits!"
"Ahh Katase sure has nice legs!"
2 people were currently peeking through the hole in the wall to see the kendo club. These two persons were Motohama, and Matsuda and the one beside them who was leaning on a wall was Issei.
Unfortunately Issei couldn't get a look due to them blocking him.
"Hey when do I have a turn?" Issei asked as they continued to peek through the hole.
"You get your turn when you get your turn!"
"We're the first ones here so it's our privilege to be the first one to peek. But you will have the hole all for yourself when we're done Ise."
Which was true they were the ones who discovered this hole and they just told Issei and due to him wanting to see, he accepted to come.
"Since you're not gonna let me, I'll just leave then," Issei said but they were too busy still looking through the hole.
Issei soon left them behind as he walked around the campus for a while.
As Issei walked around he didn't notice that he was already near the old school building.
This building was abandoned when the school decided to turn into a co-ed. Many students feel something eerie around this place so students typically ignore it.
Issei was one of those students, since he didn't want to be in this place anymore, he decided to get out of it. But before he could do that a voice called out to him.
"Hello there," It was a voice familiar to him.
Looking back he could see a young woman with a voluptuous body, white skin, and blue eyes. She was wearing the standard girl uniform intended for girls in the academy, but the most distinctive feature was her long, beautiful crimson hair.
She was Rias Gremory, one of the great Onee-sama's of Kuoh Academy. And she is regarded as the most beautiful girl in school, second to none.
She was currently sitting on a garden set as she was reading a book while there was tea on the table.
"Rias-senpai!? I didn't expect you to be here," Issei says as he was now feeling nervous as he is in the presence of one of the most beautiful girls in school. Feeling that his reputation would go worse if anyone would see him here he decided to get out of here immediately.
"Sorry for bothering you Rias-senpai but I'm going now," but as Issei was about to go he didn't expect the reply she was about to give.
"But you just got here, come and have a seat with me Issei-kun," Issei was suddenly stunned as he was given a request by Rias Gremory herself.
"Um… are you sure? If anyone sees us they'll probably hate me even more," Issei asked nervously as he scratched his head.
"It's fine, no one comes here often anyways, so I insist that you will take a seat here in front of me," she invited him as she disregarded his resistance.
"I guess so… but if you insist," Issei says as he scratched his neck as he went to the table Rias was sitting at and sat in front of her.
There was silence between them as Issei was still nervous as he was sitting next to the most popular girl in school. But then Rias asked a question.
"So why did you want to enroll in this school, Issei-kun?"
Issei pondered a bit before answering the question.
"Well my parents wanted to send me to a private school, and I also wanted to go on a school with lots of girls, so in the end I chose this school since it's a private school and also it has lots of girls," Issei answered honestly as Rias let out a small laugh.
"You are pretty honest with your desires, are you Issei-kun?"
"Well my parents always told me my name stands for honesty, so it seems that it is really fitting for me."
"Issei-kun… or should I call you Ise? Hearing it again it's actually a pretty cute name," Rias says as she complimented Issei
'She said my name is cute!, a beautiful girl said my name is cute!' his face became red as his senpai called his name cute.
"Eh… Well my friends and family call me Ise, so yeah I guess you could call me by that name."
"Fufufu, for someone called a perverted beast, you're acting quite innocently right now."
"It's because I'm talking to such a beautiful girl that I can't help but feel happy about it, but at the same time nervous," Issei replied as he let out a small laugh, but he failed to notice the blush that formed in Rias's face.
"Are you trying to charm me Ise?"
"Wait! That's not what I meant! I only meant it in a complimentary way, I'm trying to woo you or anything," Issei said as he soon turned red.
"I'm just teasing you Ise," Rias replied with a small laugh.
After that they talked for a while, Rias even offered Issei some tea which he accepted. They talked about some school stuff, and some interests.
"It was nice talking to you Ise, but unfortunately i need to be going now if you don't mind,"
"I don't mind at all, if anything I am honored to have a chat with the most beautiful girl in school,"
"Let's chat some more in the future Ise~"
"Yeah," Issei responded with a smile as he walked out of the scene.
As soon as Issei walked out someone from Rias's back approached her.
"Who was that Rias? The girl behind her asked which surprised Rias for a bit before answering her back.
"You surprised me Akeno."
Akeno is a beautiful young woman with a voluptuous figure, very long black hair and violet eyes. Her hair is usually tied in a long ponytail, reaching all the way down to her legs with two strands sticking out from the top and sloping backward, with an orange ribbon keeping it in place.
Like most of the girls at Kuoh Academy, she wears the customary Kuoh Academy girls' school uniform, along with black calf-length socks.
"Well I was just going to come to check on you, but I saw that you were talking to someone, so who was it?"
"It was Issei Hyoudou."
"Issei Hyoudou… if I remember correctly he's second year, and he is part of the perverted trio group, why was he here? He didn't do anything to you did he?"
"It's nothing like that Akeno, we just had a chat with each other, drank tea with each other, and he's not as bad as the students say,"
"Well you never know what will happen in the future, I think we should now prepare for the night, has everyone gathered here already?"
"Yes, Kiba, and Koneko, are already inside and are waiting for you."
"That's good, now shall we go in," with a nod from Akeno they both proceeded to go in and meet with the others.
Meanwhile Issei was walking out of the school still feeling stunned knowing what happened earlier.
If anyone could see him now they could see a man staring on the horizon blankly, but in reality deep inside he was bursting with emotions.
"Holy shit! I just talked to the most beautiful girl in school, and she even called me cute! Well she said my name is cute but what's the difference, i just had a talk with Rias Gremory, and she didn't even look at me with disgust,"
While Issei was enjoying his small victory he failed to notice that someone was trying to call out to him.
"Excuse me…"
He turned his head and saw a girl.
"You're Hyoudou Issei-kun from Kuoh Academy right?"
"Yes I am, why do you ask? And who are you?"
"I am Yuuma Amano, and well… I have been looking at you for the past few weeks and I wanted to ask you something," Issei, being curious, decided to listen to her request.
"What is it?"
"Will you please go out on a date with me?" with that statement, it shocked Issei's whole world.
"What!?"
"I've been waiting to ask you this question for weeks and now was the perfect time to ask you, please go out with me," Issei without hesitation answered immediately.
"Of Course I'll accept."
"That's great! How about we go this coming Sunday. Or is that a bad time?"
"N-Not at all! Of course it's fine!"
"That's great," she replied with a sigh of relief, "then I'll you then Hyoudou Issei-kun, I'm looking forward to our date!" She said as she walked away.
"Yeah, me too," He waved goodbye before letting his hand down.
He looked to the ground before raising his arms and jumping to the air in extreme euphoria.
"This is the greatest day of my life! Not only have I talked to the most beautiful girl in school, I was also proposed to by a beautiful girl to become his boyfriend!"
"I'M THE LUCKIEST PERSON IN THE WORLD!" Issei jumped for joy while walking back to his home not knowing that this interaction would flip his world around for the rest of his life.
It was the day of the date and Issei has done everything to prepare himself for the date, he brushed his teeth numerous times since last night, not missing even a single spot. He even went ahead and bought a new pair of pants, since you never know what could happen.
He arrived on the spot an hour early so in the meantime he just stood there imagining the thing they will do on the date.
'Damn this is my first date and I'm already so excited,' while thinking of the thing that they will do he was suddenly given a leaflet from a weirdo handing them out.
While Issei was looking at the leaflet, it was an occult-looking thing with a weird magic circle, and a sentence -"Your wish will be granted!"- written on it.
Issei wanted to throw it away, but he just put it in his pocket since he could see Yuuma already approaching him.
"Ise-kun sorry if I was a bit late for our date,"
"Don't worry, I just got here too."
"That's a relief, shall we start our date?"
"Sure," They then started to hold hands and started walking together, which really touched Issei. Being on a date with his girlfriend and holding her hand was the best for him.
After walking around while holding hands together they started their date by first going to a clothing store and taking a look at decorations for their rooms. For lunch they ate at a family restaurant just like how any normal high schoolers would, and Yuuma-chan was eating her chocolate parfait cutely.
Finally it was evening, and they were at the park away from town, and there wasn't anyone here besides us.
Yumma-chan let go of my hand, and stood before the fountain.
It sure was fun today, Yuuma-chan said with a smile.
"Yeah it was fun especially with you Yuuma-chan," Issei replied which made Yuuma giggle.
"Hey Ise-kun."
"What is it Yumma-chan?"
"There's something I want to do to celebrate our first date. Could you listen to my wish?"
"What are you wishing for?"
"Will you die for me?"
"Huh? That's… huh, sorry can you repeat that again? I think there's something wrong with my ears."
"Will you die for me?" Yuuma-chan repeated herself this time as she laughed.
Her words weren't making sense to Issei but as he was about to ask her again black wings appeared from her back.
She then started flapping her wings as black feathers floated in the air and dropped down on Issei's feet.
The Short time I spent with you was fun. It was like playing house with a little child," Her voice was cold. Her tone is like an adult, and her mouth is forming into a cold smile.
Suddenly a sound much louder than the noise a game console makes vibrates through the air. It makes a loud buzzing noise and then it appears in her hand.
It was a bulk of light that had formed into a spear.
As Issei was looking at the spear, still stunned by what he was seeing, the spear suddenly disappeared from Yuuma's hand and a nasty noise soon followed after it.
The moment Issei thought something grazed his stomach, the spear which was in her hand has already pierced his stomach.
'She threw it at me… but rather than that why?'
Issei tried to pull it out of his stomach but the spear suddenly disappeared into nothingness. The only thing left was a huge hole in his stomach, and blood which was flowing out from it.
His head immediately felt dizzy, as his sight was now becoming blurry, and he was now lying on the floor.
'What the hell just happened?' Issei questioned what happened as he could hear footsteps coming closer to him.
"Sorry, you were a threat to us, so we decided to get rid of you early on. If you want to hold a grudge, then hate the God who put the Sacred Gear inside you."
'Sacred what?...' He couldn't even ask her a question as he lies on the ground. As he lay down there he could hear the footsteps get further away from him.
As that happened he started to lose consciousness. The wound on his stomach must be fatal as he doesn't feel any pain.
'It must feel nice. If I pass out now it's as if I'm going to sleep, but if that happens then I'll die for sure.' thoughts ran through his head, he didn't want to die, he didn't even live up to half of his life.
As he thought of that his consciousness started to fade away. As it feels like multiple things within him are disappearing.
'Oh yeah, I wonder what's going to happen at school tomorrow? Will Matsuda and Motohama be shocked? Will they cry for me...no way, not them.'
'Mum, Dad… I haven't done anything to please them yet as their son…'
'Rather...it's not going to be funny if they find those porno magazines I was hiding after I die...why the hell am I thinking of that when I'm about to die…?'
He disregarded that thought as he realized he could still move his hands. He touched his stomach and brought his hand in front of him.
'It's red… Crimson red, it kinda reminds me of someone,' he tried to remember when he had seen this color before. Then he remembered the girl he had talked to at school.
The beauty with crimson hair, Rias Gremory, the only girl in school who had talked to him without disgust, and had actually called him cute.
'If I recall Yuuma-chan has never even complimented me throughout this date, I wonder what would happen if I had dated Rias-senpai, would I have been in a situation like this?'
As he thought of that he puked out some blood from his mouth.
'It seems I'm nearing my end… If I had gone out, I wish it was in the arms of Rias Senpai…' as he said those last words. Issei Hyoudou is now dead.
Suddenly from his pocket the leaflet he put away earlier was now glowing crimson red as a magic circle suddenly appeared beside him.
What came out of the magic circle was Rias Gremory.
"Where am I? Wait, this is the park, did someone summon me here?" while she was pondering the smell of blood ran through her nose. That's when she noticed the body below her feet.
"Oh no Ise! What happened to you?!" she immediately kneeled down and checked on his body.
She immediately senses that his life force is depleting.
"Who could've done this to you?" She thought about who would've done this to him as she remembered a report she acquired this week that some fallen angel movements were spotted here in japan.
"So they decided to target you Ise… I'm sorry for this to happen to you, it feels like it's my responsibility that this happened to you, and for that I'll try to repay you," She now made a magic circle in her hand as a box appeared.
Opening it revealed chess pieces, 1 knight, 1 bishop, 1 rook, and 8 pawns, they all had the same color, Crimson red.
She immediately grabbed 1 pawn from it and laid it on top of his chest.
"Sorry for this to happen to you Ise, but for you to live again I have to do this."
"I order, in my name Rias Gremory. You, Issei Hyoudou. I, resurrect you back to this soil as my servant, and have you reborn as a Devil. You, my [Pawn], be delighted with your new life!" As she said the chant, a magic circle appeared below Issei but nothing happened.
"That can't be… unless he needed more pieces to be reincarnated," she tried again with 2 but it didn't work again.
"Even with 2 pawn pieces he didn't revive," she then decided to try with 4 pawn pieces. But alas it didn't work at all.
"What the… he has more value than 4 pawn pieces? Just what are you, Ise?" Then suddenly the remaining four pawn pieces in the box glowed.
Picking them up Rias then stared at them for a while as she puts them with the other 4 pieces. After putting all 8 of them together they all simultaneously glowed which shocked Rias.
"Is it telling me to use all 8 of my pawns for 1 person? 4 of those pawns are mutation pieces too!" Rias was shocked as she was about to use 8 pawn pieces. 4 of them were mutation pieces which is considered rare for evil pieces to become.
"If this is what it takes to bring him back, I just hope that you are someone strong Ise," after that she then immediately started the chant once again.
"I order, in my name Rias Gremory. You, Issei Hyoudou. I, resurrect you back to this soil as my servant, and have you reborn as a Devil. You, my [Pawn], be delighted with your new life!"
As the magic circle appeared below Issei the pawn pieces went inside his body, his wounds immediately healed up, and was now gone without a scratch.
As the magic circle faded away Rias carried Issei's unconscious body princess carry style and made a magic circle near her ear and contacted someone.
"Akeno, please tell our clients that I could not do my service tonight, since I'm going to have to take care of something,"
"What are you going to do Rias?"
"I'm going to take care of our new member for tonight, so would you tell my clients that I could not attend them tonight."
"Yes, Rias," Akeno answered as the magic circle disappeared.
Rias then took a look at Issei with the sun soon setting.
"Now my cute little servant, where is your house?"

Let me start by saying thank you for the positive reviews that this story has received. I really appreciate the time you people take to read my fanfics and liking them. Sorry for not uploading lately since I have been sick for a week, then another sickness made me delay updating the story, took a trip to another city to say farewell to a relative, made a script for a roleplay and played in it, which was quite easy when you are a fanfic writer yourself , and prepared for my finals.
But now that school is finally over I can now return to making fanfics.
And because of that I try to implement the recommendations of reviews into my fic.
For example, in the Asia arc instead of the usual Asia getting her sacred gear taken away from her I'll make something different, rather than her dying.
As for Issei, Tobio, and Vali meeting during their childhood years, I also have a plan for that, but it won't appear until the Kokabiel arc.
As for the new powers of Issei, he is blessed by the powers of Great Red, and it greatly boosts his magical reserves, and for his armor I'll make a few changes. And some new appearances for his sacred gear.
