A/N: I don't own any of the CSI Miami characters and I am not making any money from writing this.
Please forgive any minor spelling or grammar mistakes, English is not my native language.
I apologize due to a late update. I think I will finish the story soon. Two more chapters and that's it.
Walter photographs the ship's wheel, his kit now down lying on the floor, before he takes a swab out of his kit and swabs blood on it before storing the swab. He does the same with traces of blood on the floor. He then starts powdering ship's wheel for fingerprints. He finds several usable fingeprints, lifts them and stores them.
Eric is inside the room that is a part of the boat, arranged like a living room. He is powdering coffee table for fingerprints (his kit is lying on the couch near by). He finds dozens of usable fingerprints and few palm prints, and he lifts them and stores them. He takes his kit and walks out of the room, toward Walter, who is just finishing lifting fingerprints from the ship's wheel.
"I searched the whole boat", he says. "I found no shell casings, signs of a struggle, or eyeglasses.
"Maybe they have fallen into the water", Walter suggests.
"Well, I better go and find a scuba diving suit", Eric comments. In the next moment, his IPhone beeps. He takes it out his pocket and reads the text.
"Second victim is identifeid", he says. "Daniel Eggers, twenty two. Computer science student. His fingerprints are in the system due to a minor traffic offence. He has no other offences."
"Any relation with the other victim?"
"None so far."

Calleigh is in Michael Smith's home, in the living room, talking with his wife Tara and his son Tyle. She is sitting in an armchair in living room, and and Tyle are sitting on the couch opposite to it. Tyle is tall and slim, with short black hair and black eyes, and she is wearing white T-shirt and jeans, and Tara is tall, slim, with long black hair and black eyes, and she is wearing pink T-shirt and jeans. Her eyes are tearfilled, and she is holding a tissue in her hand.
"How do you mean, "it was almost certainly an accident?", Tara asks, obviously confused.
"We still need to conduct an investigation to be sure", Calleigh explains. "Ms. Smith", Calleigh asks, softly, "did your husband know a man named Daniel Eggers?"
"No, I don't think so", Tara answers after short thinking. "Why?"
"He was also found dead on his boat."
"He died in an accident too?", Tara asks.
"No, he died from a gunshot wound to a head."
"He was murdered?", Tyle asks, widening his eyes.
"Yes", Calleigh says, nodding herhead, then takes photograph out of right pocket of her jeans and shows it to Tara and Tyle. "That's the man I am talking about. Did you ever see him."
"No", Tara answers, shooking her head, then looks up at Calleigh and widens her eyes in shock. "Do you think my husband had something to do with that?"
"We don't think so, but we still need to conduct an investigation. Did you or you husband owe firearms?"
"No."
"Did your husband have any enemies?"
"No, I don't think so... except for Eric Willson."
"What about him?"
"My husband sued him, claiming that he embezzled fifty thousand dolars from his company. Court hearing was scheduled for tomorrow. He went on fishing trip with his boat today, to relax."

In less than an hour, Calleigh is in Eric Willson's home, in living room, talking with him.
"I can't say that I am particularly sad about him dying", Eric says. "But I didn't kill him."
"Where were you today between ten and twelve am?"
"Here, at home. Making phone calls, mostly with my lawyer. You can check."
"Do you owe fire arms?"
"No, I don't."
Calleigh swabs his hands and tests swab for GSR. Test gives negative result. She then leaves.

The rest of the day went by without any new clues. The next morning, however, Walter received a potentially useful information and immediately went to inform Horatio. He found him in the hallway.
"Hi, H", he says before explaing the matter to him. "A woman was caught using Mac Travis's credit card in a store earlier this morning. An owner remembered hearing about the murder on the news and called a police-they also found a gun in her possession. They are bringing her here for questioning at this very moment."
"What is the girl's name?"
"Emily Bain."
#
Soon enough, Emily Bain was sitting at the table in the interrogation room very close to Horatio's office, wearing blue jeans and red T-shirt. She was jumpy and nervous all the while she was there, and that traits only increases once Walter walks in and sit at the table opposite to her.
"Things aren't looking good for you, Emily", Ray starts. "You were caught using victim's credit card, and we found a gun in your posession. The gun that was probably used to murder Mac."
"That gun is not the one used to shoot him?"
Walter raised his eyebrows and glared at her. "And how do you know that?"
"Because..." She swallows hard and runs her hand through her hair. "Because I stole it. Few days ago, after we had sex. He went to use the bathroom after we did it and I took advantage of that. I remembered feeling something under the mattress while we were having sex so I reached under it and found a gun. I slipped it into my purse, planning to pawn it. Then I noticed his wallet lying on the bedside table. I reached in it and found out that he has two credit cards. I took one and slipped it in my purse. Then I heard him coming back, so I put the wallet back. He paid me and I left. I was expecting him to find out that his gun and credit card are missing, but he never did. I didn't do anything else, I swear!"
Natalia and Ryan are standing outside, watching the interrogation through the glass and listening to it via microphone.
"What do you think?", Ryan asked Natalia, obviously not believing Emily's story.
"Sam found a fiber on the base of the gun and compared it with elimination samples taken from victim's house. It matches to fiber samples taken from the mattress, confirming Emily's story. There was very little usable fingerprints on the gun-four and two partial palm prints. Two of those fingerprints and a partial palm print are his, two other fingerprints and a partial palm print belong to her. I recovered two types of DNA from epitelas found on the gun: hers and his. Both his and hers fingerprints and DNA are on the credit card. I didn't process the wallet at first, because there was no need to, but I will now. A gun is currently at Calleigh's, maybe she will find something."

Calleigh is in her lab, waearing white lab coat and white latex gloves over her hands, and has ear protection over her ears, standing in front of her desk. She picks up a gun from the desk and first inspects the barrel. The gun appeares to be fired two months ago. Then she points that gun at the metal bucket full of water lying on the floor, and fires a single shoot. She then removed the bullet from the bucket, puts it under a macroscope and compares it with a bullet removed from the body. She finds no match. Then she scans the abrasions into a computer and runs them through IBIS. She finds a match-Carl Zachary, murdered two months ago, case unsolved. She immediately phones Horatio.
#
In less than an hour, Ryan, Walter, Natalia, Eric, Calleigh, Sam and Horatio himself met in Horatio's office, each of them holding at least one file connected with the case.
"Carl Zachary was murdered two months ago", Calleigh explained. "Autopsy showed that he died from gunshot wound to his chest. He was killed in a drive by, early in the morning while leaving his home. Car used in a shooting was stolen. It was found on the deserted parking lot ten miles away, wiped clean from fingerprints. Shell casing was founf inside, and also traces of gunshot residue on driver's side door. Carl was a well known drug dealer in that area and lived only four miles away from Mac Travis. He always managed to avoid captured. I was able to conclude that a gun found in Emily Bain's posession was used to murder him. She claims that she stole it from Mac Travis's home, just like the credit card. Serial number is scratched."
"We found forensic evidence confirming her story", Natalia says.
"Emily has an alibi for that murder. She was in custody due to a theft charge", Ryan notes.
"Also, a hair was recovered in the car. Male's DNA was extracted from it. It wasn't in our database. I compared it with Mac's DNA and found a match", Sam adds.
"So, Mac Smith murdered Carl Zachary two months ago, probably because he wanted to take over all the drug dealing buisness, and two months later, somebody killed him", Horatio concludes. "Did Carl have any family?"
"Yes, a brother named John", Calleigh reads.
"Bring him in for questioning."

Within an hour, John is sitting at the table in interrogation room. Horatio and Eric are sitting at that table too, opposite to him. Eric's kit is lying on the table. John is African-American male, average height and weight, wearing jacket and jeans.
"John, a man named Mac Travis was murdered yesterday", Horatio informs him.
"Yeah, so?", John asks, shrugging his shoulders.
"We have reason to believe that he killed your brother two years ago", Eric explains.
John remains silent for the next few seconds, appearing to be shocked. But soon, slowly, his face lightens up and he smirks.
"I can't say that I'm not glad that he's dead", he replies, smugly. "But I didn't kill him. I didn't even heard of him until now."
"Where were you yesterday at about eight am?", Horatio asks him.
"Home, alone. Sleeping."
Eric glares at him. "That's not a very good alibi."
"It's better than no alibi", John chuckles.
"We need to swab your hands and look up gor gunshot residue", Eric says. "Are you OK with that?"
John just shrugs. Eric opens his kit and starts putting the latex gloves over his hands.
At that moment the gunshots echo inside the hallway.
