After sharing her story, Yukina is hoping to find the power she needs to defeat Raika. Deciding to go after her, her friends are trying to find their way to Decker Village. Along the way, they all met a girl named Hana and agreed to help, but she seems rather mysterious.
"Are you sure we're going the right way?" Cindy asked as Hana was leading them through the area in hopes of finding Decker Village. At the moment, they're hiking their way through a mountain with Hana leading them.
"We should be. I don't know about this Decker Village, but we might be able to find something this way." Hana said.
"But we don't know where we're even going. We don't know if we're heading in the right direction." Kent said.
"Have no fear. Comfort always comes after trial and hardships." Hana said, but that didn't exactly make them feel better.
"If you don't know where Decker Village is, how do you know if we are heading in the right direction?" Cray said as he tossed a rock around in his hand.
"I do know the area pretty well. Maybe it's in an area that I don't know about." Hana claimed, but Cray wasn't so sure she could even be trusted. "Better keep going before it gets dark." She continued to lead the way with the others following, but Cray had something in mind as he drew something in the ground with the rock. Hana continued to lead them since they didn't really have much of a choice and it felt like they were walking for hours.
"I sure hope we get there soon. I'm worried about Yukina." Cindy said.
"Does this Yukina mean a lot to you or something?" Hana asked.
"She's the friend we told you about." Felix said. "Right now, she's going through a difficult time. She claims she doesn't want our help, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't."
"She's also a great friend and an amazing duelist." Cindy said. "At first, I wanted her to teach me how to be a better duelist with how amazing she looked, but that soon changed with her becoming a great friend."
"Yeah. Her dueling really affected all of us." Kent said.
"Sounds like she's really something." Hana said as they all kept walking and walking. Soon, it really did feel like hours have passed.
"Is it me or does the scenery look like it isn't changing?" Kent questioned as he noticed something was off.
"You're just not used to hiking. It all looks the same around here more or less." Hana said.
"Can't we stop and take a break?" Cindy said.
"Let's go a little further before it gets too dark." Hana said.
"Okay! That's enough!" Cray said as he's reached his limit with patience and got everyone to stop. "Spill it! What's really going on?! You're not leading us anywhere!"
"Huh? What are you talking about?" Cindy questioned.
"I'll tell you what! Look there!" Cray said as he pointed to three markings in the ground. "I marked the trail three times! She's been leading us in circles the entire time!" He revealed with the others a little surprised by this.
"I think you've made a mistake. Better keep going." Hana said.
"Enough of your games! Tell us the truth before I force it out of you!" Cray said as he put his duel disk together and looked ready to rumble.
"Calm down, Cray!" Cindy said.
"I'm sure there's a good explanation. She probably just made a mistake somewhere." Felix said. "You can't just aim your duel disk at someone."
"I can because she's been lying to us the whole time!" Cray claimed. "Earlier, you told me and Kent you never saw Felix and Cindy before! When we regrouped with them, you knew who they were!" When he pointed that out, Kent realized the truth.
"He's right! You lied to us!" Kent claimed with Felix and Cindy starting to think they were right something is off. "What's going on?! What do you really want with us?!"
"Start talking! Are you really working with Diego and the Black Ace organization?!" Cray said. Something was going on with Hana and it looked like the time for games was over.
"I thought I could keep this up, but it looks like I can't." Hana said as she was admitting her true self.
"So you have been lying to us! What gives?!" Felix said.
"What do you want with us?" Cindy said.
"I could answer your questions, but that seems too easy." Hana said. "I have an idea that would be a lot more fun." She said as she surprised them and put her own duel disk together and was willing to take them on. "How about a duel? I'll take on any or all of you if you want."
"Fine with me! I'll take you on!" Cray said.
"No! I'll be the one to do it!" Kent said as he stepped forward. "I don't like being played like that! Now, I'm really steamed! I'll show you what happens when you play with fire."
"Well, you did mention you use the Heatsoul deck, a deck of passion. Okay, Kent. You can go first because I want to see just why all of you are so passionate about this." Hana said.
"You won't just see it! You'll be burned by it!" Kent said as he activated his duel disk and was set to go.
"Let's duel!" Both of them said as they were starting their duel and both had 4000LP.
"I think I'll make the first move." Hana said as she went first. "I'll start by summoning XX-Saber Fulhelmknight to the field!" She summoned out her monster as it came out with 1300atk points. "And I should warn you that my Fulhelmknight will be able to block one of your attacks every turn. "With that, I'll place two cards facedown and that ends my turn."
"My turn!" Kent said as he drew his card. "Your whatever might be able to block one attack, but you can't stop multiple! I set the pendulum scale with scale 3 Heatsoul Lighter with my scale 9 Heatsoul Furnace!" Kent set the scales as both of his monsters appeared in pillars of light. "I can now summon monsters from levels four to eight! I pendulum summon!" He called as a portal opened and streams of fire came out. "I summon Heatsoul Trooper and Heatsoul General!" He claimed as both his monsters appeared with 1200 and 2400atk points.
"Pendulum summoning? Not bad." Hana said.
"That's only the start! Since I just pendulum summoned my lighter can give each one 500atk points!" Kent said as his monster's power rose to 1700 and 2900. "That triggers the affects of my furnace! You now take those points as damage!" He said as his furnace shot fire and blasted Hana with her life points dropping to 3500. "I'm not stopping there! I'll show you what happens when you play us! He can grant another 500atk points to my trooper!" He said as his general gave his trooper another power-boost with it rising to 2200. "Heatsoul Trooper, attack her monster!" His trooper took aim and fired away with its rifle.
"Not so fast! I can use Fulhelmknight's ability to block that attack!" Hana said as her knight twirled its weapon around and blocked the attack.
"She might have been able to stop that attack, but now Kent's general is free to attack directly." Felix said.
"Get her, Kent!" Cindy cheered.
"Heatsoul General, attack with Blaze Bombardment!" Kent said as his general opened fired with missiles being launched.
"I'm afraid that just isn't going to work!" Hana said. "I activate Impenetrable Attack! With this, I can prevent a monster from being destroyed or take no damage. I still need Fulhelmknight, so I'll choose to spare him." The blast still came around Hana and blasted around her field, but her monster survived with her life points dropping to 1900.
"You might have held out this turn, but you won't next turn. I place one card facedown and end my turn!" Kent said and his monster's attack points returning to normal.
"My turn!" Hana said with her drawing a card. "I summon X-Saber Galahad to the field!" She said as she summoned out another monster with with it having 1800atk points. "Next, I'm activating Saber Slash! This spell card allows me to destroy one monster on your field for every X-Saber I have."
"What?! You can?!" Kent questioned.
"That's right, and I have two. That's the same number of monsters you have." Hana said. Both of her monsters slashed their weapons against his and destroyed both of them.
"No! Now he's left wide open!" Cindy said.
"It's okay. Both of his monsters are pendulum monsters, so they'll just go to his extra deck." Felix pointed out.
"What good does that do when Kent defend himself?" Cray said.
"Don't worry! I'm not losing this duel!" Kent said. "I activate my trap card: Heatsoul Battle Return! I can activate this trap when a Heatsoul is destroyed by an effect! With it, I can resummon it! Of course, it has to be the one with the lowest attack points! That's why I'm bringing back my trooper!" He said as his trooper came back to the field. "The bright side is that he can't be destroyed this turn!"
"But damage can still be dealt. Let me just change things. I tune my level three Fulhelmknight with Galahad!" Hana said.
"Did she say tune?! She can synchro summon?!" Felix said. That was when the real fun began as Fulhelmknight turned into a cybernetic circle that came around Galahad. Galad appeared to be digitized as that one circle turned into seven with a beam shooting through.
"I synchro summon X-Saber Souza!" Hana said as she summoned out a new monster with it having 2500atk points.
"She can synchro summon?!" Cindy said.
"She might be more of a challenge than we thought." Cray said.
"I now activate the trap At One With the Sword!" Hana said. "When the only monster I control is an X-Saber, this trap equips on to my monster and gives him another 800atk points." She said as Souza's power increased to 3300. "Souza, attack his trooper! Your monster might survive, but your life points won't!" She said as Souza used a cross slash and smashed its attack against Kent's monster. It survived, but his life points dropped down to 1900. They've even now. "I'll place one card facedown and end my turn."
"Nice moves, but that won't stop us!" Kent said as he spoke from the heart. "Yukina's our friend! She needs our help, and we're not going to let the likes of you get in our way!" He said that with such conviction. That certainly didn't go unnoticed by Hana. "It's my turn!" He said as he drew his next card. "I activate my trooper's ability! If I tribute it, I can special summon a level five or six Heatsoul from my hand!"
"Why do that when you can with pendulum summoning?" Hana questioned.
"That would be silly, but my trooper has another ability. I can also add a level five or higher Heatsoul straight to my hand!" Kent said and that's what he did as his trooper disappeared and he added another card to his hand. "So, I think I'll add my level seven Heatsoul Colonel! With that, I'll pendulum summon!" He pendulum summoned once again as two broad robotic soldiers. "I summon Heatsoul General! Also reporting for duty is Heatsoul Colonel!" He summoned out a new robotic soldier as it was just as big as his colonel was black and red with a cannon in its hands and also had 2300atk points. "Since I pendulum summoned, that triggers Lighter's pendulum ability! My pendulum summoned monsters gain 500atk points!" He said as both of his monsters were empowered with 2800 and 2900atk points. "I'm now activating my general's ability to give my colonel more power!" His general gave his colonel more power like he said with his colonel now having 3300atk points. "That means I can now trigger my colonel's ability!"
"And what's that?" Hana questioned.
"Once per turn, I can take all the attack points he gained and add them even more!" Kent said. His colonel gained even more power as it increased all the way to 4300.
"It's stronger than Souza!" Cindy said.
"I now activate Heatsoul Furnace's pendulum ability! The attack power he just gained comes out of your life points!" Kent said as his furnace attacked Hana again with her life points dropping to 900. "I've got you now! It's over! Heatsoul Colonel, attack Souza with Burning Burst!" His soldier took aim with its cannon and locked on target. "Goodbye!" He said as his robot fired away with an intense blast of fire with it looking like the end.
"I don't think so! I activate Draining Shield!" Hana said as she had a counter. A barrier came around her field and blocked the attack. "Not only does it block your attack, but I also gain life points equal to your monster's attack points." She said as her life points increased all the way to 5200.
"What?! You mean you have more life points than you even started?!" Kent said as that one counter ruined everything. Kent hated it, but there was not much he can do. "I... I end my turn." He said with his monster's powers returning to normal.
"Well, it's now my turn!" Hana said as she drew her next card. "I activate the Assault Armor equip spell!" She said as she played a spell. "When I have only one monster on the field, this spell gives it 300atk points." She said as Souza's power increased to 3600. "However, if I send this card to the graveyard, Souza has the ability to attack twice this turn."
"What?! It can attack twice?!" Kent said as he knows what that means for him.
"I'm afraid so." Hana said as she got rid of her spell. Souza might have lost attack points, but it's still powerful. "Souza, attack his Heatsoul General!" Souza started by attacking his general and destroyed it in one clean strike with Kent's life points dropping to 1000. "With this, it's over! Attack!" Souza aimed right for his colonel and attacked in one fell strike. That attack caused all of Kent's life points to drop all the way to zero and the duel ended.
"Kent! Are you okay?!" Cindy called.
"No!" Kent shouted as he dropped to his knees and pounded to the ground. "I wanted to win for Yukina, but I failed!"
"It's okay. We'll take her." Felix said as he and Cray were ready for a fight.
"That won't be necessary." Hana said as she stood down and put her duel disk away. "I never said you guys had to beat me."
"Huh?" Felix said as he and the others didn't get it.
"You just had to duel me. I was testing you guys." Hana admitted. "I wanted to see if you were serious about Yukina, and it seems like you guys are. Kent alone proved that by fighting as hard as he did."
"Hold on. Does that mean you actually know Yukina?" Cindy asked.
"I sure do. The truth is that I'm from Decker Village myself." Hana admitted. "Yukina and I are old friends. We've known each other since we were children." She said as she remembered how much fun she and Yukina had when they were little. "You see, ever since the forbidden card was stolen from our village, we had to up our security incase outsiders ever showed up. I need to see if you people were who you said you were."
"I see... You were trying to keep us away from Decker Village until we proved we were here for the right reasons." Felix said.
"So does that mean you'll take us to Decker Village now?" Cindy questioned.
"You mean you really didn't notice. It was right over there the whole time." Hana said as she pointed to the left. All of them took a look and could see through the trees that the village was there.
"You mean it was there the whole time and we didn't even see it?!" Kent said.
"You're a sly one, Hana." Cray claimed.
"That's Yukina's home...and Yukina is down there." Cindy said as they're close to the goal. They can only hope that Yukina is really down there.

Yukina
Yukina traveled some way, but it looks like Cindy's hunch was right. Yukina did indeed return to her home village, but it looks like she got there before her friends. She stood just outside her village. It normally feels good when you return home, but not this time. This is where Yukina is hoping to find answers as to how she can beat Raika and Life Destroyer.
