"I wonder if Eren, Levi, and Mikasa have found anything yet. I'm kind of worried for them too." Armin said in a concerned matter. He had stayed back to take care of Marco and Jean, and felt a bit uncomfortable without Eren and Mikasa beside him. The five of them sat down at the table quietly. They decided to take things a bit more slow than usual and just relaxed instead of being tense all the time. The room ensured safety, after all.

"Thanks Reiner, for taking care of me and Jean. I wish we could do something to make up for it, though." Marco smiled over at Reiner. Reiner grinned back at the freckled boy.

"No need to do that. I mean, that's what friends are for, right?" He laid back on his chair and looked up at the ceiling. "Anyways, what is there to do in this place...We're just in a room; there's not much to do.."

"Well, I have a book for you guys to read, but it's just one..." Armin looked toward the door, and thought of the three that went to find Ymir and Christa. 'I really hope those three are going to be okay..'

Annie stayed mostly silent for the time being. Jean and Marco were talking to eachother about something that was barely audible to the others. It had been such a long time since them as friends could just sit down together and talk. With the battle of Trost, and the mission outside the walls...It just seemed like there would be no happy and cheerful moments in their lives again. A feeling of peace filled the interior of the room.

"...I wish it could be like this all the time.." The short, blond boy muttered as played around with his hands. He had a short flashback of how he would have fun with Eren and Mikasa when they were younger in Zhiganshina, and how they had to save him almost everyday from bullies. "...But it can't..We have all these titans to fight, and we all have our lives on the line, even right now. "

Marco turned his head to glance at Armin, and then look back to Jean. "Yeah...Me too.."

There wasn't much socializing done between the cadets, but they didn't mind the silence. A few minutes passed, and that's when they heard a scream coming from outside. Everybody's eyes went into shock.

"YMIR..!"

"That's Christa's voice!" Armin said as he immediately stood up.

It took no time for the cadets to react. They all arose from their chairs and ran to the corner of the room, where their 3DMG was. Armin was panting heavily, as he did not expect this to happen. While they were putting on their gear, they heard another scream.

"Everybody, let's go!" Reiner yelled as he ran out of the room. Annie was next to follow. Armin tried to keep up with everybody, and saw Jean run past him.

He grabbed Jean's and Marco's sleve. "You guys should stay here! I don't want you to become more injured than you already are!"

The two had both forgotten they had injuries because of the adrenaline that ran throughout their bodies. Marco nodded, in reply to Armin, and ran back to the safe room. Jean, on the other hand, tried pulling away from Armin, but the short blond just pulled him back even more.

"Get back there! Who knows what will happen to you!?" He yelled as he forcefully pushed Jean towards the safety room and ran back to Reiner and Annie.

"Tch.." Jean took one last look at the three and ran back to catch up with Marco.

Footsteps and panting echoed throughout the hallway. The three were searching everywhere for Ymir and Christa.

"We should split up, to make things easier. If you find them, just yell. I'll check the second floor, you guys, check the first floor!" Annie and Reiner nodded at Armin's statement, and ran downstairs. Reiner could've sworn that he felt something trying to forcefully push him down the steps.

"Christa! Ymir! Where are you!?" Armin yelled on the second floor. He looked in the piano room; nothing. The room where they had searched in before Bertholdt's death; no one.

"Armin! They're down here!" He heard Reiner's voice as he frantically searched for Christa and Ymir. He quickly turned around, and saw a monster. It was the same monster as before; but it seemed like it grew bigger, and possibly, a whole lot stronger.

"Uwah!" Armin gasped as the monster forcefully cornered him against the wall. He tightly shut his eyes as the monster raised its arm up, ready to strike a killing blow.

'This is where I will die, isn't it?' Armin thought. He was scared for his life. His body relaxed, and waited for the impact of the monster's powerful blow. Tears slowly flowed out of his eyes, and he gulped. 'I don't want to die...'

Out of the blue, he heard the sound of slicing flesh. He opened his eyes in shock to see three blurs flying around and attacking the thing. It only took a few seconds for him to notice that they were not blurs, but Eren, Mikasa, and Levi. He stood up slowly, using the wall as a support. More tears came out from his eyes, and he slightly smiled in relief.

The fighting went on and on until they were able to fend it off. As Mikasa sent the last blow, the monster roared and faded away into nothingness. Eren and Mikasa ran up to Armin with a concerned look on their faces.

"Armin! Are you okay?!" Eren shouted as he put his hands on Armin's shoulders. He was panting heavily. "Didn't we tell you guys to stay in the safe room?"

"Yeah...But, what about Ymir and Christa?" Armin looked into his eyes.

"So you heard that scream too..." Levi stared at the floor. "Well, this is no time for gushy make out sessions. Let's get to where the others are already..!"

Armin, Eren, and Mikasa both turned around and nodded. Armin was still a bit shaken, but he was able to handle himself. They ran quickly downstairs, and heard the gas of 3DMG around in the kitchen area.

"Over there..!" Mikasa said as she pointed and turned the corner of the hallway. She shot her maneuvar gear hooks at each side of the wall to help her go faster; the other three did the same.

They all slid inside the room with a perfect shot of getting through the door, though Eren was a bit clumsy with the dramatic appearance.

"That one's bigger than the last one..." Levi muttered to himself as his eyebrows unconsiously furrowed.

Ymir was knocked out, with a bit of blood pouring from her head; though it was not enough for her to die. Christa held Ymir's face, slightly crying and calling out her name.

"Ymir..Ymir.."

Annie and Reiner looked worn out, but they still kept fighting. It seemed like they were tiring faster than when they last fought the monster.

"Reiner, look out!" Annie warned as she retreated away from the thing. Reiner was too slow. His back was turned to the monster, which was the perfect opportunity for it to slam him down on the floor.

He made a gagging sound as he felt the impact on his body. He coughed harshly, and struggled to get back up. The monster was about to throw a second punch, but just in time, Levi got up and slashed the monster's face, making it blind for a few minutes.

"Everybody get back while we still can!" Levi yelled as he fell back on the floor, and ran out of the room.

Annie helped Reiner stand up and slightly run out of the room, while Christa and Mikasa took care of Ymir. It was hard for them to move quickly, because of two injured soldiers; almost a little bit too much time. The monster recovered its sight, and was about to leave the kitchen. Levi and Eren turned their eyes to look at the door and quickly ran to it. They slammed the door shut and pushed forcefully against it. The door banged loudly as each side of the door was pushing against each other.

Armin and Mikasa looked over at Eren, and gave him a look that said, "Are you going to be okay?" Eren in return gave them a reassuring look, and grinned. The other two nodded and assisted the others in escaping.

"Hey Eren, you can transform into a titan, right?" Levi looked at the dark haired boy as he struggled to keep the door shut.

"Y-yeah..I think so...Well, it feels like there's something preventing my powers from coming up." Eren replied, looking towards the door, and worried of what might happen if the door burst open.

"Then try it. You will never know if you try. Get ready to fly off.." Levi pushed his back against the door, and had Eren do the same.

"One...Two...Three!" Levi shot his hooks out onto either side of the wall to propell him to the other side of the hallway. Eren was a second later than him, but there was no harm done.

"Try it!"

Eren turned over to the monster and bit his thumb. He widened his eyes in shock to see that he couldn't. He had a clear goal; which was to kill the oni. It wouldn't work. He landed down on the floor next to Levi and tried again. The oni advanced towards them and Levi quickly took Eren's arm and dragged him up the stairs. They ran quickly, since the monster was gaining up on them.

Once the ran into the safe room, they locked the door shut, and sat down in relief.

"I-I couldn't shift into a titan." Eren stared at his thumb, which was steaming from the wounds he put on it. "But why?" He looked around himself.

"We don't know, yet...but still, how come the Scouting Legion hasn't found us yet?" Armin looked over at Levi. The short man shook his head and shrugged.

"Oh no..Reiner and Ymir are hurt now too.." Marco looked over at the two that were lying on their beds. Christa was wiping the blood off of Ymir's head, and Annie sat on Reiner's bed while he rested.

"I'm just glad nobody died today...Even though some of us were on the verge of it..." Armin looked down at his hands, and slightly whimpered.

Haha it's been a long time. Sorry for not uploading earlier TuT I was busy with school .
