Chapter 13 0f MSU
Mani: How come nobody's reviewing?
Naruto: Cuz ur making me way too needy.
Mani: Shut up and go hide behind Sasuke! :(
Naruto: You have to review to make her be nice to me! *sobs*
Sasuke: Since she believes that Naruto belongs to her in some twisted way, I'd just like to pop her bubble and say he doesn't. He's mine.
Chapter 13
Sasuke opened his door as soon as he sensed Naruto behind it, "How was Iruka?"
"You'd know if you actually cared. Were you about to leave just now?"
"Yes, but-"
"Today was the last day before you went to monitor the exams and you wouldn't even stay by my side!" he shook in anger, "You're such a bast-"
Sasuke grabbed him by the hair and smashed their lips together. After a while, he pulled away, "Just shut up and listen, I'm not going to the exams, but I have to start my ANBU training right away."
"What about your students?"
"The gennin? I won't actually become ANBU until I want to, but I have to meet their recorded requirements."
"So why didn't you say something? I set up a trap in the pot for nothing! Man I can't believe the nerves of you!"
"A trap, how childish of you." But the Uchiha smiled, "Well, I'll see you later." He kissed him on the cheek then walked passed him at the door.
Naruto smiled, he loved his Uchiha.
The days blew by and before Naruto knew it, the streets were being decorated for the return of the new Junín. As much as he wanted to seethe in a corner, he was also excited.
Three weeks had passed. It was surprising for him to find the trace of swelling by his lower abdomen. It made him want to hit Kiba hard. Speaking of which, he made up his mind to speak to him the next time he saw, him. That plan would go smoothly, as he never went outside unless accompanied by a miserable, needy Daichi.
The initial fear of people just seemed to have faded after he finally realized no one was about to jump him and tear his guts out.
He was now sitting on his roof, eating a cup of steaming ramen… or what used to be ramen, since the soup water was replaced by boiling hot pickle juice. He inhaled the fragrance deeply, and then smiled goofily.
"That's gross dobe." Sasuke appeared next to him, "What next? You'll be putting mustard and mayo in it too?"
"Hey, that's a great idea, I'll try that later." The blonde had also been very nice, and he wanted to share everything he ate.
"Where did the devil go?"
Naruto smiled, "You mean Kyu? I have no idea."
"He's your responsibility; you can't just have him going around…"
"He's just curious; can you imagine anybody finding such an adorable face scary?"
His response was silence, "I heard that Sakura passed successfully, are you going to get her anything?"
"Do you want to? Remember what she got us for our anniversary?"
Sasuke scoffed then turned his head away, "Sakura has always been a closet pervert. I doubt we can expect much better from her in the future either."
"Who would have thought she'd gotten us beads?"
"Quiet down!" The Uchiha glared at the blonde for saying it out loud,
"Sasuke, you should see your face, its getting red." The blonde laughed.
He hadn't really enjoyed the company of the blonde as he had been doing since this pregnancy thing. Of course he liked him, but now he could feel his heart ache painfully sweet around him. He craved the idiot's attention, it made him feel complete.
"So I was wondering, since I don't want to burden you all the time, I was hoping you'd help me tell Kiba about it." Naruto looked out towards the mountains. "You know, if you want to."
"You don't have to tell him, you know, we can grow this child like it's ours, yours and mine."
"It already is. But… you and I both know that's impossible. I wish I could just go back in time, and go in the woods with you."
"Don't think about it, and whenever you're ready as long as I'm free, I'll be there."
"Thanks."
"Yes, of course."
Shino waited at the gates in the same area as Tsume and Hanna, they all had welcome gifts in their arms.
At the first sight of the shinobi, there was a chorus of cheers, Shino held his breath as his eyes scanned the faces, searching for the familiar face of Kiba. In a matter of seconds, he was attacked in a bear hug and wild hooting. "Oh yea! I'm tha man!"
Kiba had a shit eating grin on his face. Hanna rolled her eyes, and petted Akamaru's head as he rubbed against her.
"I am beat Shino. Let's head out to your place."
The home they were headed to was not far from the Aburame mansion.
"I got excited. I made some preparations for your arrival."
"Somehow you just don't sound as excited as I hoped you would." Kiba groaned.
The bug boy sighed in defeat. "Yosh. I am so excited." Shino nodded in mock enthusiasm.
"Eww." Kiba face palmed, "Don't do that."
And it made the Aburame teen smile coyly.
"So everybody from the rookie nine are finally all chunin or jounin." Kiba said thoughtfully, "We decided to hang out later, and reminisce on good old times." He chuckled a bit. "Plus Neji, Lee and Ten-ten."
Shino nit his tongue before he asked about Sasuke and Naruto.
"We're going to the onsen first, then to have barbeque. The only person who'll be missing is Asuma sensei."
Shino bit the inside of his lips.
"And maybe Hinata can't drink the sake or gin."
"What about Naruto and Sasuke?" He finally spit out.
"Sasuke is an ANBU, and he was never really one of us anyways. We don't wanna bother him with the small stuff."
"And Naruto?"
"I thought you hated the guy, what's it matter if he's not there?" Kiba scoffed and looked away.
"I don't understand, isn't he your best friend?"
"Were we ever? If you wanna hang out with his so much then just go to him now and leave me alone!" The words were harshest he had ever spoken to Shino. He regretted it instantaneously.
Shino sighed then nodded, "Ok."
He turned in the opposite direction, "And I'm sorry you feel that way about my friend. Naruto has always been my friend, and he always will be." He walked away, it was hard, but he took the steps, counting the seconds, waiting for Kiba to stop him. When nothing happened, he looked behind him, but Kiba wasn't there.
Naruto strolled down the market road, looking for Daichi, he was almost positive he could find him in the candy store, or at the dango stand.
"Hey! Naruto!" he heard the familiar feminine voice, Sakura.
He turned and saw her walking toward him with Daichi on a hip, her hair caught back, and a wide smile on her lips. "Hi Sakura-chan." He waved.
"Isn't this your boy?"
"Looks so. Where'd you find him?" he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, then reached his armsout to collect the boy.
"Wandering about the gates. He had *kompeito all over his face." She smiled.
"He has a thing for sweets. Er-thanks for finding him though, I was just out looking for him myself."
"So anyways, I haven't seen you in a while, so I thought we could hang out, my treat."
"Uh, sure, I wanted to try something Sasuke told me about this morning. I thought it would be great. How about it Sakura-chan?"
"Um, ok. Is it ramen?"
"It involves ramen." He smiled cheekily.
As the three approached the ramen shop, Shino met up with them. Naruto felt his stomach drop. This was Kiba's lover. He tried for a grin, but it came out more as a defensive bar of teeth.
"Naruto- hello. Sakura…chan. May I walk with you?" It came out strained, almost strangled.
"Um… sure. Naruto, do you mind?"
The blonde shook his head quickly. "It's fine." He kept looking around, wondering if Kiba would pop up any minute now, to join them. He really wanted to go home and hide. As pitiful as that sounded, it was the truth.
Shino sighed in his collar, then stiffly walked next to them as they sat around the stools.
"Whose child is he?"
"Daichi? He's mine… I um, me and Sasuke sorta adopted him… something like that. He's a stray…"
"Oh. Nice to meet you Daichi." Shino nodded pleasantly at the child.
"Hi! Can you take off your glasses? Your face looks wired. What color eyes do you have, are you blind?" Daichi wiggled from Naruto's hold and reached up for Shino to hold him.
"Um, sure." He slipped the glasses from his face then blinked at the boy. He wouldn't dare admit it embarrassed him to show his face to anybody else. His glasses were like a part of his clothes.
"Wow, you have very small eyes."
Naruto couldn't believe the great Nine Tailed Fox Demon was acting so childish. He shook his head, "Sorry about him, Shino, he had no home training."
"Its ok. I like children." He met Naruto's wide blue eyes. "I have to tolerate them. Plus I have to prepare for Lady Hinata's child when it gets here."
"Hinata? She pregnant too?" He looked at Sakura who blushed lightly.
"Too? Is there someone else?" Shino pried coyly.
"Er-"
"Are you gonna let me stand here all day? Or lift me?" Daichi waved at Shino to get his attention. The Aburame boy replaced his glasses then cautiously leaned down to lift the child.
"My apologies."
Sakura cleared her throat to get the attention. " Soo, the exams were super hard, I almost lost an arm." She nodded convincingly, "As treatment, us girls decided to go to the onsen later tonight. Afterwards, we'll meet up with the guys and have dinner."
"That sounds awesome, but I got somethings to sort out with Lady Tsunade later."
Shino some relief. "But it's been so long since we've been together."
"Shino, can you keep a secret?"
He niodded.
"I'm sick, I've got…. A condition, so unless I keep my self- away from the excitement, I might get worst."
"I understand," He got up, "And your apartment is the same right? The one where we had your party last autumn?"
"Yes…?"
"I'll return him before it gets too dark." And he walked away with Daichi.
"But- he hasn't had anything to eat!" Naruto called out.
"I'll take care of that."
Naruto watched as the slowly disappeared from sight.
"Do you think he knows?" Sakura asked softly.
"I dunno. I can never tell what he's thinking."
Shino walked to the park with the child, "What would you like to eat?"
"Candy!" the boy beamed up at him. "The one with syrup in the middle, and the real sweet ones, ooorr, I'll eat dango. I want candy."
"I see. Well according to Intel I have gathered from my bugs, candy is not suitable food. I will however let you have a dango. How about barbecue? I think children like food like that."
"Okay." The child giggled, "You know, I love Naru-chan, and if you try anything funny to hurt me, or him, I'll…" he giggled, "I'll tell Sakura-chan you called her ugly."
A/N: Sorry for the extremely long wait.
The story has been moving slow, but I'llspeed it up al little.
And I wont focus on Kiba and Shino much more, unless Naruto is directly involved.
