Instinct, by anyone's standards - who has the tiniest knowledge surrounding biology would word it down as innate behaviour. This, meaning that the sense is an inherent inclination, swaying towards a certain plan, certain way of reacting when placed in a certain situation. Humans, of course, aren't the only animals to have it, by gosh no. Everything has it to a certain degree. I had the inclination to compare it to the tuning of a guitar, or any other musical instrument.
Some notes were played off key and others were spot on. Just as your instincts tell you to that waving a gun around with the safety off isn't at all kid friendly, mine were definitely telling me that there was something seriously wrong with these humans. Creatures. Monsters. Whatever they were, how they came to be didn't feel natural at all.
Their teeth were stained a sickening yellow, suggesting that they don't brush their teeth leading me to conclude that they don't have the mental capacity for humanistic characteristics and are brought up like animals. Also, they don't speak or think proper words, just guttural growls, meaning that the broca area of the brain did not develop properly. However, since they obviously could follow orders and understand to a point what that witch was ordering them to do, it meant that he Wernicke area still functioned to yet another unidentifiable point.
Meaning that she could treat them like slaves. Heck, it wouldn't have surprised me if they were constructed in a lab, based on how their body proportions were laid out. They were more ape like that human, if you looked at the length of the arms compared to their legs.
"What are they, Phillipa?" Tsuna asked, as he turned on his Sky flame. I shrugged and shook my head. It was impossible to determine what they really were, just based on sight.
So simply, I decided them to classify them as - "Experiments. Clones."
The thought of that, to him, was horrifying. And, as horrifying as it was, we shouldn't let this get to us right now, as it's not the time to be worrying about the world and other people. (As much as him brain tells him otherwise.)
But amazing they were. I couldn't believe that actual clones were made possible yet.
Wow.
The future is snazzy, ain't it?
The monsters, oh my, how they howled when they were hit with that tassle. I didn't particularly like the idea of getting hit by that thing - as it left gashes of purple bruises all across their bodies - and I didn't want to find out how the hell that chick found out to abuse them.
But, they were growing. They were stretching and their muscles were covered in vascular veins which dented their skin.
That's horrible.
"It's the Deadly Stem Force's cloud body propagation." Spanner explained, still cuddling his laptop to his chest.
"Amazing." Reborn muttered, he too not expecting them.
"Not it's not." I said, not looking back at them. "It's cruel."
Iris smirked, and looked up at one of the security camera's that was bolted to the roof, no doubt feeding a live stream to the mainframe.
"As you can see Boss, that idiot Spanner has leaked information about this place. Can I exterminate them both?"
"Boss?" I repeated. "You mean that ginger, Shouichi Irie?"
You couldn't hear any direct interference in the speakers, like sighing or coughing, but very clearly, if you spoke loud enough - like Iris was - you could hear clear sentences.
"Got it, permission granted."
His voice sounds very…..hinged. Like a nerd?
No, just someone who doesn't smoke…..
"However, place the highest priority on the disposal of the two intruders, especially the Vongola. Retrieve the ring, also."
"Sure thing~" She called, blowing a kiss his way, which I thought was pretty suck-up behaviour of her. And, judging by both her way of attacking and the toning of her bodily limbs, she was not a close range fighter. And, I don't think she used her fists at all. Meaning that the best way to fight her is to break that stick of hers.
But how to get past the guards….
"Tsuna." I whispered, making sure to keep my voice very low, so that the camera couldn't pick it up. "How's your aim?"
"Fine." He replied, reverberating in a tone as low as mine. "Why? Are you planning something?"
"I might be."
Again, the monsters howled to the air and ganged along each other, with mainly Tsuna and I in their sights. Iris held the handle of the tassel in one hand, and the top with the other, lightly banging it against her palm, with a god awful smirk on her face.
"The Boss granted me special permission, Spanner. To get rid of you as well. But, before that I'm going to get rid of the Vongola and this Drop Dead Loser."
"Oh, so you've decided on a name." I sarcastically called, pretending to be oh so lady like. "Oh darling, this relationship is going so fast! Swoon, oh lordy dee."
She t'ched, getting the idea to spit on me. I'd do it to her, if she tried. "Are you ready, you freaks?"
"Oh honey, the only freaks here are these shake 'n bake apes. But good try. See if you can actually get something right next time."
And there she goes…. Reborn thought, while the others stayed silent at my sarcastic ways. It's Christmas all over again…
Iris flicked at the ground, and raised the tassel into the air, whipping her steads into place. "Now go, my servants! Finish them off!"
You can't punch them. I told myself, Your arm's injured, remember? Find another way around.
Behind me, I heard Spanner flinch, cry and shuffle out of the firing range. Reborn would most likely follow him, and as long as Tsuna kept that earpiece in check, then we would have a clear connection.
Two out of the four came charging at us. What seemed to be an advantage, their immense bodily mass also acted as a double sword. With the speed that they were running that, all we had to do was jump over them, and the momentum carried on and threw them into the concrete wall behind us. As the dust cloud appeared and dissipated as quickly as it should've been, I sprinted past the two others, who very slowly, realised that I had passed them.
I'm quick on my feet, I'll admit to that. I'm not that heavy either. At fifty seven kilograms, I don't have to lug around excess body weight. And yet despite her looks, Iris was as well. So I guess you can't judge a person by the meatsuit that they bare.
Huh. The more you know, I guess.
Her defence was pretty good. Sorry, let me retract that. Her defense was the monsters. herself, physically, couldn't keep up with me. She wouldn't be able to keep up with Genkishi, that was for sure.
"Yoink!" I yelled, swiping the whip from her grasp.
"Hey, give that back!"
"And let you continue to use it as a weapon? No fucking way, you witch!"
She gasped. "You bitch!"
"YOU DOUBLE CROSSING DITCH."
What the heck did I just say?
"WATCH OUT PHILLIPA!"
As soon as Tsuna yelled that, I threw myself backwards, just in time to dodge the flying razor blades that shot out of a flying fruitcake who just so happened to be dressed in the same, awful white outfit that I was. What bugged me was their colour choice. Don't they know how hard blood and other bodily fluid stain are to get out of fabric?! This is coming from the girl with a bottle of bleach at her side!
"Careful girlie, you might get chopped into two." The man, or boy, or whatever it was - I couldn't read his mind - smiled as he floated.
"Well, you're not helping the situation, are you. Just adding to the problem, aye."
"Move!" Reborn shouted, and I leaped to the side, by Spanner, who by now was severely injured and lying face down on the ground.
I looked up as in seconds, Tsuna's X-Burner was nearly finished charging. His speed surprised me, and in the awe, I realised that we were in immediate danger.
" 'Scuse me Spanner, I know you wanna watch the X-Burner, but I have to do this to prevent us becoming burnt." I sniffed and raised the barrier in a half sphere that dug a meter and a half underground. "Can you sit up."
"Help me." He grunted, and I pushed him up onto the rubble wall. His injuries were worse than I had assumed. Cuts to his face and neck, and a reddening splodge under his eye. Bleeding from his right eye as well.
But his remaining eye was focussed on the destroyed robot.
And that tinge of sadness affected me.
He loved it
Honest.
Tsuna's contacts were working extremely well, given the circumstances. While the soft Sky flames trickled out of his hand behind himself, he readied his right hand, directed firmly at the enemy.
And while Iris underestimated him, no doubt of his size, he obliterated them in a fiery blaze. I told Spanner to close his eyes, just so that he didn't damage them anymore than they already were. His weariness was definitely reflected in his actions. He barely could move. Hopefully, the first aid kit was still intact, because I'd returned it to the cupboard.
Though, I had my doubts to if anything at all, spare Tsuna - since he was the supplier/provider - of the flames, since all I could see, feel and smell was smoke, heat and the sprinkler system going off. And while it was nice, I saw that around Tsuna was a sort of heat barrier. The water evaporated before it could even touch him.
While he walked into the rooms he burned through to check if anybody was still alive, I lowered the shield and tried to locate the cupboard. Thankfully, the outside was made with a strong type of metal. Didn't know what type it was, but it was strong enough to withstand against fire, so yeah. Pretty tough.
"...ah...ngh, come on…" I grabbed the handle, and it was indeed warm. But not enough to scorn me and cause me to drop the box.
'Ah, Spanner!"
Woo-hoo, normal Tsuna!
"You're hurt! W-Where's the first aid kit!?"
"Here!" I said, jogging back over to the pair. I placed it onto the ground where I knelt and opened it. "Alright...we need antiseptic…."
"Sorry, I don't know how to do any of this stuff!"
"It's fine Tsuna. I know enough to get by." I took out a small bottle and soaked a cloth. "Though, before I left school, I was planning to study optometry." I took Spanner's chin firmly with my thumb and first finger, wiping the painful liquid into his open wound.
"N'gh!"
I snorted through my nose. "You looked at the flames."
"Hm?" Spanner looked at me with his good-ish eye, while his other eye was swollen shut. "No."
"Uh, you're such a liar. You're eyes red. I can tell. Doesn't help that it's bleeding either." I soaked the rag again and did the other side of his face, more carefully this time around. "What's that in your hand?"
"This?" He asked, pulling up a bag. "It's a parachute."
"Tsuna! Phillipa!" I looked over my shoulder at Reborn, who's hologram had reappeared after the blast. The flames must have temporarily affected the equipment. "We've just received an emergency transmission from 's also here, but his communication system is a different type, so he needs to contact Vongola HQ directly."
"Did something happen?"
"According to the message, Hibari from ten years ago is fighting near the lab."
"Hibari, from ten years ago?"
Reborn paused and looked behind himself. What we saw was nothing, but I assumed that he was speaking to Giannini, who was in contact with this Kusakabe guy.
"Looks like the other group is there also. Lal, Gokudera, Yamamoto and Ryohei aren't the only ones either. Lambo, I-Pin and Chrome are there as well. Lal, Chrome, Gokudera and Ryohei seem to be down for the count."
"You gotta be kidding." I shook my head in disbelief. "That girl is so sick, she struggles to walk! How the fuck is she out of bed! And what about the others! One man couldn't carry all of those people."
"Don't underestimate people, Phillipa." Reborn nodded his head towards the smoking rubble. "Look where it got her."
"We have to hurry up then."
Reborn nodded. "Yes, that's a good plan."
"Vongola, take me with you."
Tsuna turned on the spot. "Eh? But those injuries….."
"Can be fixed." I said, finished with cleaning and bandaging his face up. "He's the only person who can tinker with your new toy Tsuna. Plus, you owe him since he housed you. Housed us." I closed the lid. "It's the least we can do."
"But….."
"It's okay, I won't hold you back." Spanner lifted a sleeve of the bag that was beside him and I understood his drift quite quickly.
"Yo Star, you've still got a lot of flames, right?"
"Huh?" Tsuna looked at me with an odd expression, and then nodded. "Yes, yes."
"Then, using them, you should be able to fly to Kusakabe coordinates while towing us along." I stood. "Is that okay?"
Tsuna, although he looked rather scrawny, felt that he probably could carry the both of us. "I guess."
"Can you get up Spam?"
He grunted a 'no'. So, I helped him by pulling him by his arm and slugged him over my shoulder while he put on the parachute bag, clipping it around the pair of us.
Well. This was certainly an awkward position.
"You okay Spanner? Not going to pass out or anything?"
"No, but if I throw up, it will be in your direction."
I rolled my eyes. "Real nice of ya. Alright Tsu-na. Let's be like a tree and leave."
~o0o~
"The Vongola is on the move."
Shouichi hadn't expected the group to be on the move so quickly, only five minutes after the blast had destroyed the corridors that lay in front of it. In his surprise though, he found it reasonable. People who didn't want to be found had to move fast, right, or else they'd get caught.
The projected screen flipped to see the young Vongola flying through the air, in one of the catacomb tunnels of this enormous fortress. On top of his back sat the hologram of the deceased sun archabellano from the past. And behind, floating in a parachute, was Spanner and the woman named Phillipa.
Nobody really knew what her relationship to the Vongola and the arcobaleno was. They assumed she was an acquaintance of one person at a certain time in the past, and had formed an alliance.
He grunted, and very angrily bore holes into the computer. "Sawada Tsunayoshi….."
"The arcobaleno is just a hologram. Judging from their heading, they're planning to approach the lab."
"Those bastards, they've found its location already!"
He breathed silently out of his nostrils.
Are they…...are they coming here?
His flame light up the roof, and a strange gust of wind somehow entered the windowless room. The shockwaves of his tempered flame were rising, as Shouichi wanted to stop them as soon as he possibly could.
"We have no options left. I don't want to move the lab since there are delicate equipment inside. But as the situation is revolving, it'll easily be targeted. For now, we've got to move it to a safe place."
In went his alight funeral wreath ring and instantly, in red letters that flashed brightly on the screen, the word 'Error! Danger! 505 Internal Service Error! ' shot down any hopes he had at that instant. Sirens blared in the background, only annoying him further.
"What! What on earth is going on!?"
"Ah, it's useless!" A cervello said, frame after frame of spikes indenting the surrounding words surfaced on screen. "Hibari Kyouya's box weapon has penetrated and lodged itself to the lab walls."
Onscreen, it noted how many rooms were affected by the box. And shit son. You couldn't pass without getting your finger prinked, or your favourite shirt ripped.
"This means that it's impossible to move the blocks."
"What did you say!"
"Irie-sama…"
"What about the rest of the Vongola guardians?!" He questioned urgently, flicking his head over his shoulder.
"They're in Block B4 after the box weapon separated them from Genkishi. They appear to be escaping from the box weapon."
"Escaping?" He repeated, almost not believing in the word. "This means that the Vongola didn't expect this either. That's definitely a box gone berserk."
"Anything we should do?" They asked in all seriousness.
Shouichi pushed the nose of his lenses upwards, stopping them in their tracks of falling off of the end of his nose. He remembered his mother saying that he should try contacts, that they would be much easier and they wouldn't hurt either.
"We still have other movable blocks. I'll take out anyone who dare lays a finger on the lab!"
But still…..
What is this feeling in my stomach?
~o0o~
"How are you guys back there?" Tsuna yelled, as the air currents whipped my face. Hopefully, behind myself, Spanner wasn't getting a mouthful of hair. Although, he was sucking on a lollipop so…..I hope he doesn't accidentally get my hair sticky. That would suck, major time.
"As good as you can outside of a flying aeroplane!" I shouted and then, twisted my head back slightly at the blond. "What about you Spanner? How's your face holding' up? Sorry about my hair, I don't have a hair tie on me."
He took out his sucker. "Yeah, no problem." Spam sniffed. "I think you were right about looking at the X-Burner though."
"That you shouldn't?"
"Yeah."
"Damn straight you shouldn't. Ain't no cornea going to pop out of nowhere! They cost thousands to obtain and repair!"
Out of nowhere, as I wasn't looking ahead but still sort-of telling Spanner off, the blond smiled cheekily, which I found weird. He then pulled out a remote and yelled - "Leave it to me!"
I turned to see the doors that were once closing in on us that was now re-opening, due to the remote.
"An override?" I questioned.
"Correct-a-mundo."
I smiled. "Your friend will be getting mighty annoyed that he can't stop us."
"Don't speak too soon, you might jinx us."
"Are we there yet Reborn?" Tsuna asked, feeling the combined weight of both of us pulling on the back of his shoulders.
"Yes, soon. Keep heading straight , but the route is heavily guarded." He lifted his head a little. "Ah, turn left over there!"
I snorted. "Shit Tsuna! Wall! Wall!"
"Got it!" Spanner yelled, as his long spider legs could reach the wall before mine could. "Whew, almost."
"Reborn," Tsuna began," did you foresee the fact that everyone would show up here?"
"I didn't." He admitted, rather truthfully. While both of us could read minds, neither of us could predict the future.
You think we can find them in time? I asked out loud. But I got no reply, but I think that was because he actually wasn't here, which I kept forgetting.
Reborn breathed out through his nose and continued to talk.
"Hibari and the rest from this era brought Chrome and the others on their were completely unaware of their actions. Why, are you worried?"
Of course he is. He always is.
"Why Lambo…" He whispered in a flash, the tone not a similar gradient to his other worry wart tendencies.
"You of all people should know, he's one of the Vongola guardians."
I heard Spanner sigh sadly, his feelings resonating with the Vongola's sky leader. And I wondered how everyone was doing.
I think I just needed to know how two certain guys in my life were coping.
~o0o~
Ccccck!
Ccccck!
Ccccck!
The sound of carrots being chopped up into tiny, bite sized pieces was overpowered by Haru's scrubbing of the bottom of the frying pan. The kitchen felt very quiet, despite the sound of the faucet going, without the kids. Both of the girls felt lonely and indeed, they were worried.
"It's sparkling clean now!" Haru cried, looking at her reflection in the pan. "Right, Kyoko?"
Kyoko had stopped cutting the vegetables by this point and a glazed stare covered her otherwise pretty features. She stared out at the wall in front of her, silent till Kyoko realised that Haru had actually tried talking to her. It would be mean not to reply.
"Ehe, what is it Haru?" She asked with a smile on her face, realising that she actually hadn't heard a word the brunette was saying.
"Is something wrong?"
"Ah….mm...I thought I heard Tsuna's voice then…."
Haru screeched a reply, surprise scribbled all over her face. "WHAT! TSUNA'S BACK!"
Haru sped off into the hallway, and Kyoko tried to stop her, but she was too fast for the blond.
And Kyoko was left alone. Again.
~o0o~
I sure as hell wasn't ready to end my life as an idiot and right now, getting through those roadblocks - that I'm sure Shou, Shoe-chan conveniently put up, just for us. - was the lowpoint of my day. I wasn't ever, in the past airsick. I never got motion sickness either, but I didn't feel too good while riding the high winds with Mr Tool behind me, shooting confetti out of a cannon.
Spanner was sure in bliss when asked to be in a mechanic contest, facing Giannini. The dude was blushing and had this look in his eyes that just shouted "Yes,Yes,Yes!".
Strangely enough, Giannini stopped talking, mid sentence. Reborn turned and looked at Tsuna. "We're almost to the point where Kusakabe message originated from." He looked back at the two of us. "You okay?"
"Dandy." I winced, keeping my eyes closed.
"You'll be okay." I heard from behind. "Not too far now short stuff."
"I bloody hope so."
"Something's coming!" Tsuna said, and I got up the courage to open my eyes, to see what was out in front of us without feeling even more sick than I should have been.
"It's huge!" Spanner yelled.
"A rocket?!" I muttered. "Shit!"
"Leave it to me, Vongola! I'll use this thing to try and throw it off again!"
Tsuna nodded and Spanner manouvered his large arms around my body, and I helped by keeping the cannon steady as he shot more of the flame injected confetti. So when the white smoke dissassipitated and the flames arose out of the mist, I was blatantly panicking in mid air. And then, I tried to calm myself down.
"Damn it! It's not working! It's not a homing type!"
"I got this!" I yelled, unclipping myself from the harness and landing on the ground with a roll. The landing was lighter than I thought, so as I stopped out of the roll, I jumped up into the air, in front of Tsuna and Spanner and let loose my own, personal demons.
As the rocket split into four, into eight, into sixteen, into thirty two separate firing missiles, the monsters within the limbo-like haze shot out faster that the start of a sentence. I knew that they were pretty tough, that it would least stop the metal shrapnel. But when it, the mouths bit down on the missiles, I tasted the distinct bitter burntness of smoke And cut grass.
Which signalled that this wasn't a missile at all.
"It's an illusion!" I yelled, spotting someone in heavy armour up ahead. Tsuna saw him too, and dumped Spanner, only to falcon punch him right in the gut. To my intuitions correctness, the body of the man floated away in indigo flames.
Only seconds later, after Tsuna had been attacked by a shadow my eye happened to miss, I located the foul taste of the mist user to above my head and right then, right then, I wanted nothing more than to throw my hands up in utter aspiration and walk away. This guy just wouldn't give it.
"What the fuck are you doing still standing, you asshat!" I yelled, as Spanner limped to my side, along with Reborn. Tsuna floated in the air, and he must have heard something shocking that I didn't, since his eyes shook with a frustrating anger that made his teeth clenched and eyes quiver. "Starfish, be careful! This guy almost cut my head off if Al wasn't with me! He's fast!"
"He's one of the six funeral wreaths!" Spanner shouted. His voice boomed in what I could only call something similar to an aircraft hanger. They had one back at the CEDEF base, and that was underground, with a flip top hatch. Only limited to the smaller aircrafts, the microjets. "The Phantom Knight, Genkishi!"
"This the same guy you fought, Phil?"
"Fuck yes." I was quite aggravated. It was one thing that I didn't like to lose, but we didn't finish our first fight either!
He blinked at me with absolutely no emotion in his eyes or thoughts, and then at Tsuna, who was his main target.
"W-Why are you here?" Tsuna asked, quite confused. "Wasn't he fighting the others?"
"The more better question is that why isn't he in limbo-land? I thought Al zapped him!"
"What others?" He pondered, completely ignoring myself. "You mean your guardians? They put up quite a fight," He replied, thinking back to every member he fought, including myself and Al. ",her, down there, and the man are left. They're the only ones to ever escape from me."
"Liar." I said, quick to catch him off. "You lost to Squalo."
His eyebrow t'ched. They sure were odd though….."How do you know that?"
"Magic." I said. "Secret."
"What did you do!" Tsuna yelled, charging full speed at him without analysing his surroundings and the aspects. That was a bad move, especially since Genkishi was marginally quicker than Tsuna, who was not only ten years behind in experience, this guy had a bad aura.
He was quicker this time. Tsuna wasn't. I had a bad feeling in my gut that wasn't from the travelling. We watched on as Tsuna punch and punched, over and over again; Spanner's mouth hanging so open that his sucker almost fell to the ground.
They were all illusions, I soon realised, as with every emotion filled punch made his body disappear in the exact same way the missiles did.
"You may be Vongola X, but you're still just a child."
And with that, he kicked Tsuna to the ground, and I ran to catch him, only to be intercepted by the Phantom Knight himself.
"You are too, a threat. You are an adult, no?"
"And you are a child, no?" I asked, turning on my flames to high power. They scorned the outsides of my arms, and I braced myself as he slashed at me.
"Vongola!' Spanner yelled, the plummeting thud of Tsuna's body hitting the ground as I continued to hold my ground. He's fast. I'd give him that.
But I figured, if I wanted to get back home, if I were to ever see Al again to kick his ass, I would just have to try harder.
No.
I would definitely do my best.
His defence was airtight, but I managed, after speeding up to my limit, to whack a few punches to the stomach. In all honesty, I'd been aiming much lower. He jabbed one side at my head, and another at my hip. Grazed, I was. Thick clots of blood trickled down from my chin and onto the shirt that I was desperate to get out of. I prefered my own clothing, after all. Who doesn't?
Genkishi grunted and tried to throw me off. It would prove to be very difficult for him, as the mouths bit into his sword and suit. They managed to rip holes and I kicked very hard.
He groaned and kicked me into the side of the wall and in hitting the wall. He must have used a lot of force to shake me off, because the back of my head was hit pretty hard. My vision went flying and, instinctively out of fear, I cocooned myself in the shield, managing to protect myself before Genkishi got mauled to death. He screamed in a painful manner, but disappeared, just as an illusion would.
I could've sworn he was the real deal though…..
Thick, clogs of smoke attacked him in a growling rage, and I couldn't understand what they were. Like, I'd seen some pretty messed up shit today, but really. Clouds attacking people
Like, what?
The fuck.
"This is the second time I've had to save your scrawny ass, love."
Forcing myself to concentrate, I looked up, and without having to lower my shield, I sighed in relief. The tension in my muscles that was there before died down, as I urged myself to getup!getup!getup! There was dust clouds from where the impact dented the wall and small chunks of it rolled to the ground.
I walked in a fast stride to him and if he was expecting a hug, he wasn't getting one.
Slap!
"What, no hug?" Al asked sarcastically, waving his hands about. I couldn't believe he had the balls to stride in here and be the same smart ass he always was.
"YOU MAKE ME SO MAD SOMETIMES! DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED I'VE BEEN! NO CALLS, NO MESSAGES, NOTHING! WE'RE FAMILY AL, WE'RE MEANT TO TELL EACH OTHER THINGS! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'VE KEPT THIS FROM ME!" I pointed at myself in emphasis. "AND YEAH, I KNOW NOW'S NOT THE TIME TO YELL AT SOMEONE WHO JUST SAVED ME BUT WHERE THE HECK DID THAT COME FROM!?"
His hands and shoulders dropped, and I heard the smallest sign on his breath that disappeared just as quickly as the breath on a mirror.
"So…..you're still mad?"
"..." I sniffed, and closed my eyes deeply. I'm pretty sure they looked red, because they felt extremely sore. And even though what I said before, I meant, I had to break it. He was my family. I hugged him tightly. "Don't be an idiot. Of course I still am."
"I can see what you meant by 'human.'" Reborn said, eyeing Al up with all the suspicion in the world. "Get away from him."
"Reborn, no. Al would never hurt me. He's staying with us until this mission is over."
"You don't have a choice." Al said, looking at Tsuna. "You have to find the others, don't you?"
Fucking smartass, was what Reborn was thinking. And I know he would've attacked Al on the spot, if he was really here.
"Fine." He spat, glancing over at Tsuna to make sure he was alright. "But still, Phillipa come here, you're too close to him."
"Um….."
"I'm your father, and you will listen."
Spanner blinked in surprise. "Father?"
I rolled my eyes. "Long story. Let's just go. I don't want to stick around in this place anymore than Tsuna does."
"You're not going anywhere."
Metres away stood Genkishi, who in that full bodied suit that appeared the first time, most definitely lived up to the nickname of the Phantom Knight. And, in my mind, I made a decision to keep away from that sword because it looked like it would hurt a lot if I just so happened to get stabbed by it. ANd Genkishi, not only was focussing his immense power over Tsuna - who, thankfully, was relatively a-okay, as Spanner helped him to his feet and dragged him next to Reborn. - but now directing it towards the two of us as well.
"Funny." Al said, his voice rumbling from his gut. "Because I don't remember get that memo that made you the boss."
"Don't waste your sarcasm. He's a black hole and you're running low on the funny stuff." I re-scanned the area, seeing if there was anymore idiots that wanted their heads blown off. "His eyebrows are like shields."
"That's not very nice." He replied.
"Cease your meaningless banter. It will not halt your deaths."
I blinked widely and looked at Tsuna. "You hear that Starfish? Are you going to take that?"
"No." He said firmly. "I'm going to defeat him and bring my friends back home safely!"
I smiled.
Good answer.

It's mid-summer where I am, and I have to say, I have a firm dislike for pollen. So here I've been snivelling, trying to write this chapter down without scratching my eyes too much. People who don't have hay fever, you have been heavenly blessed. Not to mention the annoying problem that FF had a couple of hours ago with accessing stories only added to my annoyance.
*Sighs*
But we're through that now.
Good.

Akayuki Sawada: Definately. And thanks. :) That makes me feel more confident. I write mainly to tell a story, one that I just want to put out here for people to read. So yeah, hearing that makes me focus more.

LeoInuyuka: I can't wait either! He doesn't turn up till episode 200, or somewhere close to that and I'm sitting on 133, soooooo soon! :D
natachoco: (When I read your username, strangely enough I imagined mexican music in the background. Don't ask why, I think I was just a little tired at the time.) Anyway, here you go, a new chapter! And, oh boy, honey, this story is a rollercoaster. You sure you wanna join the bandwagon?
GrnDRKness: Well, of course. Gotta make a good impression.
Angelicfluffle: oooo~ Merci Beaucoup! Twisties galore!
