Wow! Already a day till Christmas eve? Time got away from me, eh. So, short story here, I was watching Shrek and for some reason I pictured Gnomeo as Shrek and Juliet as Fiona cause I don't know, I'm weird. Jules is kinda like Fiona in a way though, eh. ;D Lol, idk. Anyways, I should probably get on with it now, shouldn't I? Yeah, okay. xD
Juliet's P.O.V.
And then it hit me...
Call me crazy but did that wish actually come true? If this is what was going on, why was it now? Is it even possible or am I just going nuts?! I pulled away from Gnomeo's embrace. "Gnomeo?" I asked.
"Yes, Juliet?" he replied.
"Would you believe me if I told you that I wished on a shooting star and it came true?" I asked.
"Well, what did you wish for?" he questioned.
"I wished that I could relive the night we met." I stated.
"I'm confused." he said. I thought for a moment.
"I'm sorry, Gnomeo, I'll be right back." I told him. He then grabbed my arm quickly.
"Wait, where are you going?" he asked.
"I need to talk to my dad." I replied pulling out of his grip. But he grabbed my arm and pulled me back in his arms.
"I can't stand another minute without you, though." he said, placing a hand on my cheek. I chuckled.
"I can't either, but this is important." I told him. But he shushed me by putting a finger to my lips. He leaned in to kiss me again. We kissed gently as he pulled me closer, deepening the kiss. I slowly pulled away and looked into his eyes. He leaned in to kiss me again but I covered his lips with my finger. He looked at me confused. "I'll be right back, okay?" I assured him. He sighed and nodded his head with a smile. I kissed him quickly and then left to find my dad. I searched around the garden for him until I found him over by Tybalt's wishing well. "Dad!" I called to him. He turned around and saw me running towards him.
"Not now, Juliet. We were attacked by a blue tonight so I don't have time to talk." he said, turning to Tybalt's wishing well, which was covered in blue graffiti. I forgot about Gnomeo's infiltration earlier.
"But dad, this is important." I pleaded.
"How important?" he asked.
"Dad, have you ever wished upon a shooting star before and go got your wish when you didn't mean for it to come true?" I began.
"You're not making sense, dear." he replied, confused.
"Would you believe me if I told you that I wished on a shooting star to relive a day and I got taken back to this very day but in the present time, I'm married and have a daughter?" I tried to explain.
"I'm really confused right now, Juliet. Do you need to lay down?" he asked, worriedly.
"No! Dad, I really want my life back! I need to get back to the present time!" I cried.
"Maybe you should sit down." he said, sitting me down on a nearby mushroom. "Is everything alright?"
"No! No, it's not alright! I want to get back to the present time with my daughter and my husband and all my new friends! It won't be the same, dad! It just won't be the same!" I exclaimed, feeling tears coming on.
"Juliet, what are you talking about?" he asked. I sighed and calmed down a little.
"If you wish on a star, does it come true?" I asked. My dad chuckled.
"Only if you wish from your heart." he replied. I thought for a moment. Only if you wish from your heart. Tonight was the night I met Gnomeo which is when I realized more than I thought about my heart. I thought long and hard about that wish I made. Then I realized that it really did come true!
"Dad, my wish came true!" I gasped. "Is there any way to take it back?" I asked, desperately.
"I'll need some proof that you were sent to 'relive this day.'" he replied as if I was crazy. Then I got an idea. It was risky but I had to try!
"Be right back, dad." I said, getting up from the mushroom and back to the grotto. Gnomeo sat by the pond looking at his reflection when I came up behind him. He noticed my reflection with his and he chuckled as he turned around.
"There you are." he said, standing up. "What took you so long?" he asked, holding my hands.
"Just a bit of a hold up but, Gnomeo, I need you to come with me." I told him.
"Where are we going?" he asked, concerned.
"We're gonna talk to my dad." I said. He then released his hands from mine in shock.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait, your dad!?"
"Yes. Gnomeo, please trust me. I won't let you get into trouble." I promised.
"Are you sure?" he asked. I nodded as he slowly took my hands into his again. "Alright, I trust you."
I smiled as I led him to my father. I got a nervous feeling in my gut but I was praying that this would work. "Dad," I said, making my dad turn to face me and Gnomeo. He quickly became shocked.
"JULIET, BACK AWAY FROM HIM!" he yelled.
"No, no, no, wait, dad!" I cried stepping in-front of Gnomeo. "Take one look at him. Don't you recognize him?"
"I recognized that he's a blue!" he shouted. "What is he doing here!?"
"Dad, this is your proof that I was sent to relive this day. This is Gnomeo, my husband. Do you not recognize him?" I asked. He and Gnomeo looked at me confused.
"Juliet, what in blazes are you talking about?!" he cried. Then I thought of something.
"Dad, I have more proof." I started. "I know what you have planned for me tomorrow."
"What do I have planned?" he asked.
"You're going to set me up with Paris who has a bush trimmed out to look like him holding me up into the air and then he later serinades me with a song." I pointed out.
"Who- Who told you?" he stuttered.
"Nobody. I'm telling you, I've went through this time before." I explained. "And I know that you're getting me a novel for Christmas and on new years, you're going to let me pick what color to paint the inside walls of the shed and you weren't going to tell me until the day I get married that mom, on her death bed, made you promise to do a special dance with me besides the father-daughter dance since she'd never get to." I finished. My dad looked at me shocked and confused.
"How on earth do you-"
"I lived this time before dad." I cut him off. "I wished upon a star and it took me back to this day." Just then, I got a massive headache. I began to rub circles around my forehead as everything got blurry.
"It's midnight, Lord Redbrick! We're gonna turn in!" I hear a gnome say. Midnight. Wait a minute, does this mean that when the day ends, I go back to my original time or...? My head started to pound as Gnomeo and dad ran up to me.
"Juliet, are you okay?" Gnomeo asked.
"Juliet?" my dad asked. With that, I felt myself falling until Gnomeo caught me.
"JULIET!" they both shouted. And then everything went black.
...
Next thing I knew, I opened my eyesand realized that I wasn't in the red garden, nor was I in Gnomeo and I's room. I was a hospital bed! I looked around more confused than ever. Was I still in the old time period? Just then, the door opened. A doctor took a step in and noticed that I was up. "Mrs. Blueberry's awake!" he shouted. Thank God! I was back in my own time period! I missed hearing myself being called Mrs. Blueberry. Without a second to spare, I saw Gnomeo rush in. He stopped and looked at me and then hurried to my side.
"Oh, Juliet, you're okay! I was so worried!" he cried, pulling me into a desperate hug.
"Wha- What happened?" I asked. He pulled away from the hug and clasped my hands.
"Juliet, yesterday morning, you wouldn't wake up and I wasn't sure why so I called the doctor and took you here and I thought you were dying and I just...(Sigh) it doesn't matter anymore, you're okay!" he cried, pulling me into another hug.
"Wow...Gnomeo, I had the weirdest dream..." I said. He pulled out of the hug again and turned towards the door as Featherstone came in with Katie.
"Oh, thank heavens, Juliet, you're alright!" Featherstone cried.
"Featherstone! Katie!" I cried. Featherstone brought Katie over to Gnomeo and Gnomeo picked her up and handed her off to me. "Oh, my little girl." I whispered, holding her close. I smiled as I looked back up at Gnomeo and gave him a quick kiss.
"What? Nothing for old Featherstone?" Featherstone questioned, jokingly. I laughed as I leaned up to kiss his cheek. He blushed. "Hehe, I'll, uh, I'll be in the waiting room." he chuckled as he left the room. Gnomeo and I laughed.
"Ready to go home, love?" he asked.
"Nothing would make me happier." I replied with a smile. Just hearing him call me love again made my heart fill with joy. I knew now to be careful what I wished for. The past is the past and I like it just the way it is and I don't have to relive it to feel that spark of love for the first time. I still feel it today more than ever before. Now it's time to continue on with my future with Gnomeo and Katie.
(Phew!) Finally done with this chapter and boy am I tired! Christmas eve is tomorrow and I'm so excited! :D I'm still having my little Shrek marathon. xD Merry Christmas guys! I'll try to update afterwards. :)
