ALBUS DUMBLEDORE'S FILES
MOEFY TRANSFORMATIONS P3
More days go by and I keep writing more about the amazing transformation properties of a new spell Harry discovered by accident. And it is not only Harry whom has wielded this power. Neville Longbottom and Charlie Weasley were also able to invoke some transformations, which I'll describe right now.
NOM-NOM THE APHRODISIAN SNAPTRAP
It is no secret Mr. Longbottom is good at Herbology and loves plants. If one thing would be able to be transformed, it'd probably be one of his prized plants. He has cared for this particular plant ever since she was a seed in a pot.
Classification: At this point, Nom-Nom can be described as a plant/Nature-elemental.
Biology: Despite her humanoid form she is still pretty much plant. She needs water, sunlight and nutrients from her food to survive.
Diet: Like Snaptraps, she can eat anything that fits in her mouth. And thanks to her growth, she can eat things bigger then her too. While she can eat human foods now, she still prefers little prey. Arachnids, birds, reptiles, mammals, anything she can get her hands upon. She has learned to not eat pets or familiars. But anything else is fair game.
Abilities: Aphrodisian Snaptraps are closely related to Venomous Tentacula and often mistaken for them. Only Aphrodisian Snaptraps are not venomous and rely on their strong jaws, which can bite through even the toughest of armors like that of a Chizpurfle. And in Nom-Nom's case, the strong armor of a Blast-Ended Skrewt.
Due to being made of plant matter, she can grow roots to draw nutrients from the ground, and can shapeshift to a degree, growing snaptrap tendrils to eat more things at once, producing vines and probably a lot more.
Her appetite it voracious, to the point she can eat things many time her size given the chance. She has a unique ability from her transformation in that she can gain traits from things she eats. She has grown wings by eating an owl, farts fire by eating Skrewts and produce silk and grow spider legs from Acromantulas.
She also has a good healing factors, regrowing limbs if she losing them, as long as there is enough of her left to regenerate from. A recent accident in the potions class that nearly blew her proved it. She was able to reform in minutes and shrugged it off.
Intelligence: Despite the fact she can only say her name, she is intelligent enough. She seems to share her master's knowledge of Herbology (must have picked it up from being near him a long time). She also gains knowledge of the creatures she eats, all of their traits and biological functions. Now, good thing she has no appetite for human flesh and wouldn't resort to eating people to gain magical knowledge. Right now, while her Herbology knowledge is Newt-level she seems to have started out as a first year Muggleborn in other aspects.
Magic: She can use magic no problem. She has a wand, but in case she loses it she can use her own body to channel it herself since she is already made out of plant material. She just needs a good magical core on her wand or person.
Weaknesses: She is still a plant so she cannot stand extreme temperatures and is very weak to fire. And the only way to gain a fire immunity would be to eat a phoenix or a dragon, but that would not be possible even for her. She also needs a lot of nutrients. Luckily since she got rid off the Acromantula plague she is very well fed for a long time.
The fact she can only say her name may give communication problems. Though Neville Longbottom has no problem understanding her. Must be an innate talent Longbottom may not realize he has.
Personality: She is bright, happy go lucky and cheerful. She doesn't seem to be bothered by anything and remains positive. She is just endearing. But she is gluttonous; She loves to eat even when she doesn't need to and while she can get a balloon belly, she can never get sick. Well, at least when we have a magical creature infestation we know whom to call…
TREVOR THE TOAD
Of course pets would make prime candidates for transformations. And for a longest time Trevor the toad was the only companion for poor Neville hence he has a huge attachment to him. Never underestimate toads, despite being thought old fashioned for pets, doesn't mean they are bad pets.
Classification: Anthropomorphized toad. There is no real magical species he corresponds to yet. So for now I'll dub it a 'Samurai Toadman'. I'll think of a more scientific name later.
Biology: Anthropomorphized toad, having the traits of his amphibious form, but gaining extra strength, dexterity and durability from it, as well as speech.
Diet: While technically able to eat human foods, he still prefers to eat insects and other small creatures that can fit in his mouth. Like Nom-Nom, he doesn't touch pets or familiars though.
Abilities: Like any toad he has great jumping and swimming powers. His new human size gives him greater strength and durability. He has a long prehensible tongue which he can use to snatch creatures as well as using it as a grappling spell not unlike Carpe Retractum.
He also seems to be an adept fighter, as the samurai armor he obtained in the transformation is not for show. He is also a lot faster and agile then the pudgy toad form may suggest.
He is mildly venomous, but he can control it at will as those he likes can touch him without problems. If he feels threatened and you touch him, the venom isn't deadly but gives you a cold feeling and chills like you don't believe. And even then he may hold back so I don't know if he can produce a deadlier amount of it.
Intelligence: Stats off with little magical knowledge, a new student type of mentality not unlike Nom-Nom or Hedwig. But he shows great willingness to learn, and values hard study. He also excels in wisdom and has a few wise words for everyone.
Magic: He has his pipe on him, but later I learn he doesn't smoke tobacco from it, but it is filled with magical essence he gathers from ambient magic, which he uses to sharpen his mind. If the pipe is equipped with a wand core he can use it as an actual wand.
Weaknesses: He needs to stay moist so dry and hot areas are not for him. Also doesn't fare well in the cold, becoming slow, lethargic and sleepy.
Personality: He acts like an older brother and mentor. He has a rich vocabulary and tends to mix sayings and words of wisdom in his speech. He always seems call and rarely seems bothered. A calming presence, which Neville needs. He also has wanderlust and doesn't like sitting around doing nothing, spending his days exploring the castle and terrain.
OGNYENA MARIA THE HUNGARIAN HORNTAIL
Originally a Hungarian Horntail dragon used for the First Task, she was infected with Dragon Blight by Lucius Malfoy in a way to get her feral enough to destroy Harry. Luckily she was cured thanks to her transformation. The healing properties of the spell is something I considered but it has proven to be very much real now. While I don't know what the spell does on humans I wonder if there is a part of the spell that can be isolated for magical healing.
Classification: A new type of anthropomorphized Dragon I for now have dubbed a 'Dragomorph'.
Biology: While appearing humanoid she still has several dragon traits, like scaly skin, wings, a tail, spikes and horns and fangs.
Diet: Can eat human food now though she needs tons. While she at times has snatched up living prey, never humans, pets or familiars unlike feral dragons. She seems to be partial to lamb, both raw and cooked.
Abilities: Still has all the abilities of a dragon which includes flight, fire breath, great magical resistance, and the strength and endurance that comes with her size. And as a Horntail she has durable spikes that can pierce stone. Her skin is rough but she has a degree of control of its density, as she doesn't want to accidentally hurt her loves ones.
It shows that the magic didn't need to improve on her abilities since Horntails are apex predators already, even among other dragon species.
Intelligence: Like most transformed creatures, she has no theoretical knowledge on most subjects and would be on par with a first year but that doesn't mean she can learn. And she would do well in any studies, though she has focused on other creatures so she can be with her new mate, Charlie Weasley.
Magic: If being a dragon isn't enough, she can use magic. And since she is a dragon, she doesn't need a wand core, her entire body is a wand core. She would only need a focusing tool.
Weaknesses: Dragons have little weaknesses. Even the weaknesses of normal reptiles like the cold are rendered null and void thanks to her inner dragon fire. Only the most powerful of spells can affect her and even then it probably will take more then one person casting them. Pray we never get her mad.
Personality: While originally feral, after her transformation she has become warm and caring. She is a loving person and mother. Her personality is like fire, warm, passionate, but also temperamental if angered. She shows great capacity for love, as she still cares for her transformed hatchlings, and even the Golden Egg that was transformed was happily adopted as a daughter. She showed great love for Charlie Weasley as he remembered her as a good caretaker.
Right now she has seven kids/hatchlings: Ember, Cinder, Flare, Agni, Pyrra and Mariel as well as the adopted daughter (and former Golden Egg) Pele.
