~ Two years later. ~

"I can't believe she's already turning two today." Regina said with a smile as she picked up their two month old son. "Why don't you go and grab her present, then I can go downstairs again. It looks like Nathan can't wait to see his grandmother."

As if he already knew, the little boy let out a squeal of delight. Ever since their son had been born, he'd been almost attached to his grandmother's hip. Sometimes Cora was the only one who could get him to stop crying.

It was mostly adorable, but sometimes also incredibly annoying.

"Sure." He smiled and kissed his wife and son on their heads. "I'm sure she'll like the doll."

"I hope so, it's all she's been talking about for the past month."

Regina shifted the infant in her arms and started down the stairs. The whole family was already sitting in the living room when Regina walked in. Aiden was sitting on Emma's lap and she was grinning with delight, the toddler wore a purple dress and a bow in her dark hair in the same color. she was the spitting image of Regina at that age. Or so Cora had said.

Nathan's bright blue eyes focused on his grandmother and he stretched out his little arms. Cora chuckled as she got off the couch and took the infant from Regina's arms.

"Mommy!" The little girl squealed and jumped from Emma's lap to run towards her brunette mother.

Regina chuckled and swooped the girl up in one go. "Hello there, how is my little birthday girl doing?" She said and placed a loud kiss on Aiden's cheek with caused the girl to giggle. Her little hands were trying to push her mother's face away from her cheek.

"Mommy, stop it." She squealed and ducked her head Regina pulled back with a grin.

"Fine." She sighed dramatically and put the young brunette down again.

"Where's daddy? Does he have my present?" Aiden asked with toothy grin and looked at the doorway.

"Yes he has." Daniel's voice called from the foyer and stepped into the living room with a large box in his arms. "A present for my birthday girl." He put the box down on the ground and lifted Aiden in his arms. "Happy birthday, sweetie."

...

"I guess you really found it, huh." Emma smiled as she put the plates down on the countertop.

Regina looked up with brows furrowed in confusion as she reached for the plate Emma had just brought in and put it in the lukewarm water in the sink. "What do you mean, dear?"

Emma leaned forwards and rest her elbows on the granite surface and smiled. "I meant you really found it, you really found your happy ending."

There was a long silence as Regina thought about Emma's words. Had she? Had she really found her happy ending, the one she'd been searching for her whole life. She was happy. How couldn't she be? She had a husband - who was also her true love, she had a teenage son, a little girl and a sweet baby boy. There was no doubt about it that she would do anything for them. She would give up the whole world for them. And she had her mother back, and Cora actually loved her this time around.

So, yes. Maybe she had found it.

Her happy ending.

It was so strange to think about it.

"Yes." Regina smiled as she grabbed a towel. "I guess I really did find it, didn't I?" She chuckled softly with a shake of her head. "Who would've ever guessed? The Evil Queen got her happy ending."

Fin.
