Disclaimer: No I don't own Red Dawn. If I did Matt and Erica would've totally hooked up in the 1984 version.
Love Is A Battlefield
Jed was surprised to see Matt dragging a man through the door. He was expecting Matt and Erica coming back love-drunk from a thorough make-out session.
Guess they didn't get that far.. he thought, watching Matt pull the unconscious man, Or this guy had other plans for them.. he had a surge of pride for his brother's defensive skills, and a burst of rage that this man would want to harm Erica.
"Matt, what the hell is goin' on here?"
Matt wiped his nose, and stepped over the guy, "Well there was a power outage, but you guys already knew that." as he pointed to the various candles lighting up the room, "So I went to check it out and found this Russian," he kicked the man slightly, he grunted, "this guy has been camping out here. Probably knew we were coming."
Jed wiped his face roughly, and the man rolled so his face was visible, Jed's eyes widened, and gasped, "Sheriff Wayne!"
Erica also gasped, she knew he was familiar she just couldn't remember where she saw him. It was all clear now..
The Russian sat up and spat, "Yankee scum!"
Jed glared at him before kicking him in the gut, "Damn you, Commie!" it was surprising to see a Russian look, sound and act American, let alone mimic a sheriff.
Matt pointed at the man on the floor, "So this is the sheriff?"
Jed nodded, "Sick bastard. This place is probably crawling with Commies!"
The Russian rolled over onto his hands and knees, his accent slipping through, "Stupid Americans. I have infiltrated the enemy lines, and have been informing my superiors of my achievements."
Matt grabbed him by the collar and shook him, "Did you tell them where we were?! Huh? Do they know we're here!"
The sheriff narrowed his eyes at Matt and sneered, "So you must be Matt, the one she cried for?" he appraised Erica's appearance with an evil smile, and Matt punched him. The sheriff rubbed the blood from his nose, "Fuck you! Yankee!"
Matt kicked him in the gut, "Don't! You! Ever! Look! At! Erica! Ever! Again!" he emphasized each word with a harsh kick, "You hear me Commie?!"
The sheriff nodded, he tried to stand but collapsed, they stood and watched as he moaned in agony. "Foolish American boy, distractions only go so far. Women are objects. Many in the world at your disposal to be discarded after so many nights."
Danny walked in, "Guys? What's going on?" he watched the bruised sheriff in horror. Erica turned to Danny, her eyes filled with hurt, rage and tears, "The sheriff is the Russian mole! He already told the others we were here!"
The sheriff backed against the wall and sat with his legs stretched out, he looked at Matt with a knowing face, "You waste your time with women. Adolescent urges are no reason to waste yourself for frivolous women."
Matt was about to kick him again but Jed held him, the sheriff laughed, "You'll learn one day, when she leaves you. You'll realize all those times you gave her everything, and it still wasn't enough, and you ended up giving more. Females are insatiable. Stop, while you can."
"Mattie don't listen to him! Please!" Erica cried, pulling Matt to face her, "Please! You have to believe me!" Matt stared blankly at her, soaking in the sheriff's words and she sobbed into his jacket, "Matt! He's lying! I wouldn't leave you!"
Matt patted her back, "We'll talk about this later, Jed?"
Jed looked at the smirking Russian, before knocking him out with a boot to the face. Jed wiped his nose, "You kids go get some sleep. Danny and I will take care of this guy."
Matt nodded and ushered Erica to their room. He locked the door behind them, he threw his jacket on the back of a chair, before slumping on the bed. Erica put her jacket on the same chair and sat next to Matt.
He sighed and laid down, running a hand over his face he asked, "What were you crying for?"
She turned to him, "You had that blank look, I thought you believed him."
Matt shook his head, lacing his fingers behind his head, "No. I don't use women-" she crossed her arms with a skeptical look, "Okay fine! That was one time! No one likes doing the dishes! I didn't know you were capable of other stuff." he muttered.
She rested on her elbow and gave him a look, "Capable of other stuff." she repeated.
He eyed her warily as her hand rested on his chest, and slowly trailed to his face. He rolled his eyes and pulled her into a straddled position on his chest, her eyes widened in surprise, "You're subtle!"
He smirked, "It's called dominance. What? You want me to mark my territory too?" he waggled his brows.
She crossed her arms, and he put his hands back behind his head, she asked, "How do we go from a sensitive moment to steamy in seconds?"
"Carefully." he answered.
She waved her hand dismissively, "Oh yeah ri-!" he switched their positions, all she had time for was a gasp of surprise.
He rested his forearms on either side of her body, and his lower torso was between her legs, Erica involuntarily wrapped her arms around his neck.
Matt grinned, "I told you, carefully."
She rolled her eyes, "Because that takes talent."
"Hell yeah it does!"
Erica narrowed her eyes at him, when a knowing smile crept onto his face, "What?"
He closed his eyes and continued to smile, "Oh nothing."
"Matt.." she warned, he snorted, "Oh okay fine. It's just really convenient that you're wearing a dress." he peeked out of one eye, he saw a faint pink on her cheeks but it disappeared as soon as he saw it.
Erica rolled them over. She rested her body on top of his, trailing her fingers through his hair, "Oh really?"
He laughed, "Yeah. Easy access." she growled against his throat, "You aren't man enough to make a move."
Before she knew it he grabbed her thighs hoisting her higher. She let out a gasp and he tenderly pressed his lips against hers, Erica's fingers wove through his hair. Matt nonchalantly ran his tongue against her bottom lip, she whimpered for more.
He chuckled, "Now how man am I?" he waggled his brows at her disheveled appearance.
She responded breathlessly, "Yes." he rolled his eyes, "You didn't answer my ques-" she devoured his mouth in mid-sentence. He pulled back and laughed, Erica pouted.
"What's so funny?"
"I don't know, you aren't afraid to go after what you want, right?"
She shrugged then slowly rubbed her body against his, he cleared his throat, "Listen, if you want it, you get it, this better not be some tease."
She rolled her eyes and continued, "Mattie, c'mon. If we were still living normal high school lives we would've been in the back of your car after our date."
"If.." he muttered.
She kissed his cheek, "I don't know about getting all down and dirty, but we'd definitely get some under the clothes action.." she smiled at Matt thoughtfully.
He slowly grinned at her, and it widened as his hands slowly trailed up the back of her thighs, she narrowed her eyes and sat up. Erica flipped her hair back and crossed her arms, "Excuse you Matthew."
Matt sat up so she was straddling him, to keep her balance she quickly wrapped her arms around his neck. He pulled her closer, nuzzling her neck, "I thought you were trying to be mad at me."
She let out a giggle, "Plans change." he muttered something unintelligible.
"What was that?"
"Nothing." She pulled him from her neck and looked at him, "What?"
"You said plans change. What about going back to Calumet?"
She face palmed, "Mattie! I was joking! We aren't- Argh! Forget it." She pulled him in for a kiss, keeping him there until he complied, which didn't take very long, they pulled away for air. Matt proceeded to nibble in unnoticeable areas of her neck, she gasped, "You..seem to…have a lot…on…your mind…Matt? Matt…" she let out a breathy moan when he hit a sensitive spot.
He spoke in between kisses, "Well, first off, I want to know…how far…this will go…and how your grandparents…would react…to that…Second…I want to…get back to…Calumet…Third…I'm kinda…worried…"
She sighed, and stopped him from kissing, "One, I don't know, they know about us and they probably have their suspicions, not much they'll do though."
Matt interrupted, "Yeah but the damn Russians wanted their way with you and Toni, your Grandpa was pissed, wouldn't he like kill me?"
Erica snorted, "No. He knows you, likes you and it's not forced."
He nodded, "Yeah.."
She continued, "Anyway, second, we all do. The sooner the better. Third, about what?"
He sat silent for a moment, thinking of how to word it, "Well I mean, we're basically kid soldiers, right?" She nodded.
"So, what happens after the wars are over? Like, what the hell are we going to do?"
She jokingly answered, "You'll be the star quarterback for some Ivy League college."
He scoffed, "I'm not going there. Seriously though, what'll we do?"
Erica sighed and rested her head against Matt's, "I was worried about that too, and I shoved it to the back of my mind because I was too afraid to admit that we have no future plans."
Matt smiled, "I didn't know you could be afraid."
She punched him lightly, and smiled back, "Shut up!"
They sat quietly in their thoughts for a few moments, before Erica spoke up again, "How about this quarterback,"
Matt looked at her suspiciously, "I'm listening."
"How about we focus on kicking these guys out of Calumet, and then we can move on from there?"
"Alright, but, lets say hypothetically, that we manage to get them out of Calumet, then what?"
"Depends, want to help kick them out of America? Or start your new free life?"
Jed and Danny pulled the "sheriff" into the cellar.
"Stupid children!" he continued to curse.
They tied him to a chair, and smacked him, "Shut up, will you?" Jed ran a hand through his hair.
Danny stood by the door, "How many are there?"
"Enough." was the reply.
Jed grabbed his collar, "We want names and numbers. Now!"
"Infiltration and covertness is part of war, you walked into Free America blundering. And here it is, occupied like Calumet." he smiled with a bloody grin.
"How many?"
"After you and your 'pack' started picking off our members in Calumet, we searched for nearby F.A. towns. This was closest so we infiltrated."
"You didn't answer me, Commie." Jed bared his teeth, still clutching his collar.
The Russian continued to smile, "And yet, I have given you more information than necessary. The police station was taken over, we rule this town."
Jed knocked him out, and they left the room. "That's all we needed to know."
