Chapter 20: Trust

I KNOW I AM. seriously, fangirling aside I am uploading this because I saw that I got some more reviews :D I have no idea why you guys think I'm mexican or french or whatever, because I'm actually brittish but whatevs. I wanted to get this story moving faster an I was bored of the confusing mask thing so- whatever. PERCY IS DEFINITELY DEAD (but there is a reason for that, I'll explain later) so read and enjoy!

The remaining members of their team sat round the table looking dejected. Their leader was gone and it left a pain in their hearts that no matter how much bitter coffee they drank wouldn't disappear. Thalia rose to her feet, gripping the piece of paper that held the secret to their last hope.
"Seeing as Nico Di Angelo is currently pre occupied and Percy has been-" Her voiced cracked "Has been… murdered, I am going to be taking charge of our forces for now."
Her gaze scanned the masks of the people that were left, Iris had summoned them here and asked for their help but it had come to a point where Olympus could no longer be considered a safe place and now drastic measures had to be under taken. Selena reached over and placed her delicate hand on top of hers, one of the only people not wearing a mask.
"I have decided that there can be no more secrets between us and the Olympians, we need to trust them fully and put aside any personal qualms because we are in the midst of a war and if you cant put faith in your comrades then you'll just end up being struck down. What I think we need to do, if you'll all agree, is take of our masks." Her eyes travelled the room again, only five people remained out of the ten people that had come from the company to Olympus, despite being immortal Thalia suddenly felt really, really old. Selena met her gaze and nodded "I think they deserve to know who helped them."
From the corner Beckendorf grunted in agreement with his girlfriend that only left two other people, Shades put her fingers to her dark purple mask in uncertainty for a second then hesitantly lifted off her face, Thalia took that as an agreement. Bowserstudied her nails before finally giving a sigh and saying in a bored voice "I think that if Nico and Percy were here they would agree, and same with jasper and Leo so who am I to go against them?" Thalia smiled and lifted her own mask off her face "Thanks guys."
"so what do we do now?" Beckendorf enquired and Thalia placed the paper flat on the table.
"Now, we fight back."
She raised her fist in the air "FOR THE COMPANY!"
She cried and was met with loud cheers from her colleagues, although Percy couldn't see them, she was sure he'd be proud.
For a second the image of his bloodied body sunken against the bed flashed beneath her eyelids and a heavy pain crashed into her heart.
