Going down to Kenny's place usually meant one thing: Sex. Hot, steamy, satisfying - sometimes anonymous - sex. However, this time was different; not only was it the blonde and the first honest girlfriend he'd had in years, but they made a promise to themselves that this would be a strictly innocent affair, and this was one promise they meant to keep. Self-respect was on the line here (and extra credit), and they had to prove to themselves as much as to each other that they were capable of maintaining boundaries, that it was more than just teenage lust...
Nigh impossible and honestly expecting failure sooner rather than later, that was the first time that they truly were a couple, and not just a pair rabbits in human form. Breaking at different times throughout the night, one remained strong when the other snapped, and there were plenty of cracks throughout the night. Perhaps the worst came sometime around midnight, long after she had promised to return home; they had no way to be certain, but knowing her father, the date between their younger siblings had ended by now, so there was a rather large chance they weren't alone in the house. But at that moment when restraint was at its lowest, it wouldn't have made much difference how many people where nearby, or how near by they were.
Talking almost all the night through, or rather the portion possible, Kenny had brought up one thing that had been on his mind ever since she had mentioned it. Leaning up against the wall, basically staring out at the bedroom door, the blonde twisted his head around so that he could take his turn on their game of twenty questions. "When they were trying to raise Cthulhu in your brother's body, where were you?"
Traumatized so much by what had happened in Boise, Hunter's mind had basically locked away that entire chapter of her life, but there were still frays of something left, fragments of memories. One particularly strong memory was one that she actually had no clue as to if it was real or not, but of everything, that one was the sharpest, and the longest. "I don't know... I remember something... A room with strange markings, and writing on the walls... There were pictures of other girls, and a knife was stabbed through one of them... Some had been scribbled over, but mine had a circle around it, and a phrase... I don't know what happens next, because when I went to look at it closer, I was grabbed by someone and carried away."
"If you saw it again, do you think you would recognize it?" Hearing that there had been some kind of label on the photograph and what sounded like a search for a certain female child sounded really promising.
Interesting as it may have been to some people, Hunter hated thinking about it, loathing the dreams that brought her back to that candle-lit cellar. "I don't like to think about that. It wasn't long after Avery was born, so even I have a hard time recalling everything about that time."
Missing the tone of finality in her voice, Kenny pressed the issue, very eager for answers about anything that connected with his own story. "I know people that could-"
"I don't want to talk about that!" She was clearly bent by the topic. "I lost a lot that day, and almost my brother. Do you have any idea what would happen to me if anything ever happened to Avery? Up till I moved to this town, everything I did was for that kid, everything. Even if in the end it was more for me, it started because of him. Without my brother to look out for, I would lose a large part of my identity, and-"
Kenny had to call shenanigans on that. "Bullshit." Hunter might have only thought of herself as Avery's caretaker, but he knew that there was more than that to her, that she was a person on her own. "You're more than just a substitute mother, just like I'm more than a substitute father. Yeah, you're a great big sister, but you're also a fighter. You could have let your past get in the way, but you didn't let me get away. You could have listened to your father and shut the door in my face, but you chose to fight for my sake. But you're also more than that - You're an excellent cook, you can rival any of the guys on the team on their best day, you have a list of fears, you have a whole diary full of flaws-" Seriously, three questions ago, Hunter had revealed that she used to keep a diary full of her own character flaws and daily mistakes. "-You're a very fast learner in bed, you try at school, no matter what grade you're getting, you hate bananas, and you have bad morning breath. You're far from perfect, but you try to do your best, and what's more, you have more in your heart than most of this town has in it's little finger." Really, no one else in town would have agreed to make-up for a small tussle after the blows had been exchanged, let alone without having to.
Wow, even listing some of the bad qualities (unconsciously covering her mouth when he reached the part about her morning breath and cheeks flaming up pridefully at the mention of how she was just as good as any of the guys at their peek), no one had ever pointed out all of the good traits before. Kenny was truly the greatest guy in the world, better even than what anyone could dream up on their own, so how did she ever get so lucky? Overcome with gratitude and emotion, the girl flung her arms around his neck, intending at first to only embrace him, but his body was so warm, so inviting...
Gliding her hand over his as if it were fine silk, the girl gently guided his hand along the side of her thigh, slowly turning the gesture inwards. Not giving him the time to fight it, she leaned closer, lips crashing against his own. Fuck, why did he have to taste so good? Once more the lack of a game plan was rendered irrelevant as the situation took care of itself; hands twitching as their bodies heated up, he caught one of the functioning zippers on her skirt between his index and middle finger, giving it a hearty tug. The button was sprung so fast, it might have undone itself.
With only a jerk or two left to finish that as the fabric fell open, Kenny turned his attention to more important matters, like caressing the breasts only a flimsy veil away, her hoodie discarded much earlier on in the proceedings. Respecting the boundaries as much as he could, he only fondled them above the shirt, although the urgent way he was nipping at Hunter's lip was a good indicator that he longed for real contact...
Figuring that it was leading up to something she wanted just as much as he did - no give or take about it - the girl grabbed the hem of her shirt and pulled it over her head once more. Locking eyes with Squishy, Kenny recalled that they had been in the middle of proving themselves capable of more than this before things had escalated this far... "Hunter...?"
Suspecting that things were going to end the way that she feared if given the chance, the young athlete tossed her shirt to the floor and held his hands over her chesties. "We don't need to say it. Let's just have some fun tonight - be young and stupid. We can work on all that crap later." Keeping one hand firmly in place so he couldn't let go, she shoved her skirt to the floor and proceeded to buck her hips up and use the other to help her slip her leggings off. "Come on and live a little."
Irony aside, the blonde almost couldn't take his eyes off of her almost naked body (once more very glad to see that there had been no bra). Torn almost equally between pulling away and coming closer, Kenny felt as if he were lingering in a particularly cruel patch of space. "You don't have to do this. We shouldn't do this."
Funny, that was the second time she had heard that today, and it was the second time that her response was rife with both uncertainty and a form of determination. Granted the first time was only about cheating off of Kyle in history and not something that would have a greater impact upon the person she was becoming. On one hand, she really really wanted to do this, to cave in to biology, but on the other, if she did go through with it and have sex with Kenny now, what then? Breaking mere hours after making the fuss about abstaining sent a terrible message, and what was more, there was still nine other dates to go, plus all of those in-between opportunities.
"I'm such a fucking idiot." Heaving a heavy sigh, there was no other alternative than to accept that failure was as inevitable as it was permanent. "After all this time, I'm still fighting my fate. I want you so bad right now, but you're right, we can't do this..."
Now that would be where she was wrong - there were still plenty of things that they could do that wouldn't count as having sex. "What if I told you there were ways...?"
Honestly, I'm not terribly sure if I answered that fact or not in the narrative, but I'm leaning towards I left it vague... Either way, that's now the official story Hunter is telling him. Remember Kiddies, Hunter identifies herself as a liar.
I do not own South Park, that's all on Matt and Trey, but I do own Hunter and the rest of the Bloodworth clan!
