Arthur sat on his bed, head in his hands, as he waited for Francis. If he were to be honest with himself, he hadn't really thought about how they were going to tell Matthew they were now together or even when they would tell him.

The teen felt as if he should slap himself. 'How could I not think of Matthew? This involves him completely!' He thought to himself, shaking his head, dissappointed with himself.

He heard the door open and kept his face buried in his hands. He couldn't look at Francis, sure that he was now going to break off whatever they were. "Monsieur Arthur?" A soft, timid voice asked from the door way.

Arthur sat up and stared at Matthew, who just stared back as the British teen paled then blushed. "Hello Matthew. Are you alright?" 'Stupid question!' "I'm very sorry for upsetting you." Arthur continued, not giving the child any time to answer his question.

Matthew nodded slowly. "Do you love my papa?" He asked suddenly, rather seriously for a child too. Arthur flushed scarlet. "Ah Matthew I-" Matthew sighed and huffed, "Do you or not? I don't want Papa hurt again. He cried when maman died. He didn't think I knew, but I heard and saw him."

The teen felt his heart clench. "I don't ever want to hurt your papa Matthew. I promise I won't." Matthew bit his lower lip in thought, nodded, and walked over towards him. He stuck out his small hand, pinky extended. "Pinky promise Monsieur Arthur?" He asked hopefully.

Arthur smiled softly at the small child and hooked their pinkies together with a determined nod. "I pinky promise Matthew."

The small child grinned up at the teen. "If you break your pinky promise I'll make you cry." The small child said seriously, grinning while he skipped out of the room.

Arthur paled. "Wha- what in the name of God just happened?" He mumbled, following the child.

A/N: Right! You guys I am so so sorry! Senior year, I love and hate it. So much homework! I never should have taken English Comp in highschool! But I'm glad I did. Tis free college credit. Well the first nine weeks of the school year is now officially over. Now three fourths of the year remains. So excited! I'm done with Government class, now onto Economics! Speaking of Government! The heck is up with mine?! It's getting worrisome... I can feel my patriocness rising ya'll! But anywho, hope that mess gets settled soon and again, so sorry for the long wait for such a short chapter. I've got big things planned for this story but they all come later so until then the next few chapters may be short/fillerish.

P.S. I'm having a funeral for my laptop. She has served me well for the past five years and I shall dearly miss her. But she's been a pain in my backside for the past few months. Rest in Piece you lovely, terrible piece of technology you.
