Arthur resisted the urge to slam his head down onto his desk as he found himself slipping into thoughts about his French teacher. ...again. His thoughts were beginning to become anything but innocent by this point. The two had been unofficially dating for just past two weeks now and they barely did anything except for a few stolen kisses here and there in the elder's classroom or Arthur's home when they were doing his homework.
He understood of course why they couldn't do much. Francis did have his son after all and Arthur did care for the child and didn't want to upset the boy by being a hormonal teenager with the boys father.
The Brit jumped slightly as Vladimir poked him with his pen and pointed to his notebook, implying that there were notes that Arthur had been missing by staring off into space thinking about his French teacher. Arthur flushed slightly and quickly copied the notes from the board. "What's up with you and Lukas, Arthur?" The Romanian asked in a soft whisper.
Arthur glanced to the Norwegian who had fallen asleep, face first, on his math text book. Arthur sweatdropped, "I'm fine. Just tired. Not sure about Lukas though. You have any ideas?" The Romanian shrugged.
if Vladimir were to be honest, he was beginning to feel like his friends were hiding things from him. Like they didn't trust him or something. The Romanian scoffed but let out a small sigh.
Arthur continued to mindlessly copy down the notes, some how tuning the boring monotone voice of the teacher out, as he thought about Francis again. he almost didnt hear the bell ring and watched as Vladimir nudged Lukas awake.
The three teenagers slowly left the room and waved goodbye, silently promising to sit together at lunch, as they went their separate ways. Arthur sat in the back of his next class and just doodled, pretending to take notes and pay attention to the lesson being taught. He couldn't help but want more in his secret relationship with Francis.
Francis set his class into groups so they could work on homework, class work, or just practice French as he sat at his desk and carefully graded tests. He also wanted a bit more in his relationship with the British teen but knew that he couldn't. Arthur was still his student and one of his best friends' younger brother. He gave a small sigh as he thought about what Ian may do if he were to find out that he was dating Francis and gave a shudder.
He glanced at the clock that sat on his desk. He was ready to go to lunch. Keeping this secret from his friends was beginning to stress him out but he feared what their reactions would be and so refrained from telling them. He finished grading the papers and watched as his class began to pack up, some laughing and just being loud. He chuckled to himself and grabbed his lunch out of his small fridge and made his way out of the classroom behind the students to Gilbert's class.
"I don't like homework." Lukas stated plainly as he sat down, cheeks flushed slightly. Normally he was the first to sit down at the table but today he'd been late, causing for Vladimir to snicker. "Why? Can't do it after school now? Too busy?~" He snickered louder as Lukas shot a glare to him and the chuckling Arthur.
Arthur cleared his throat and gave the Romanian a stern look. "Now Vlad, behave yourself." Vladimir rolled his eyes and stuffed some food into his mouth. "What are you, my mother?"
Lukas and Arthur scowled at him. "Don't talk with food in your mouth you slob." Lukas said dryly. Vlad crossed his arms. "You're not my mother either!" Arthur chuckled, Lukas just ignored the Romanian. "Who's the blonde guy who keeps staring at us?" Vladimir asked suddenly, pointing behind Lukas.
The Norwegian turned and saw Mathias staring at him. At being caught staring the Dane grinned widely and gave a small wave. Lukas turned back around and shook his head. "Room mate of sorts."
Arthur nodded slowly. "Why does he keep staring at us?"
Lukas scowled. "Maybe he's just being weird. Ignore the idiot." The trio continued eating, making small talk until the bell rang.
Meanwhile Gilbert was complaining, and somehow bragging, about how unawesome his class was that day as Antonio and Francis sat and listened to him. Francis was slightly zoned out and just nodded occasionally until his two friends noticed. "Hey! Frenchie! Was zur hölle(what the hell)?! I'm telling you an awesome story here!"
Antonio glanced between the slightly annoyed self proclaimed Prussian and stunned Francis. "Amigo are you alright?" The Spanish man asked, concerned. "You've been dazed looking all day." Antonio answered to Francis' confused expression.
"You know he's right. What's been up Francis?" Gilbert asked, sipping his water. Francis sighed. "It's nothing." Antonio and Gilbert shared a look. "Is it about Ian?" Gilbert asked slowly, as if talking to a small child.
Francis choked on his lunch. "Quoi(what)?! Non! What would make you think that?" He asked, genuinely curious.
Antonio stared at Francis with a raised eyebrow. "You've got the face of a confused lover. Like you're not sure what to do next." He stated simply. Gilbert nodded in approval. "Ja. The last time you were like this was when you were with Ian. And Jeanne." He trailed off slowly. Antonio kicked Gilbert, hard, in the shin under the desks as Francis flinched slightly.
"Ah. It's alright Antonio. I'm fine. It's not Ian though." Francis said, giving Gilbert an apologetic glance as the German teacher rubbed his shin. "Oh? Then who is it?" Gilbert asked, sitting up straight, leaning towards the French man slightly. Antonio leaned closer too, waiting for Francis to tell them the name of his secret lover.
Francis leaned back. "It's no one! Now back off and eat your food!" He pointed to their meals. Antonio threw an arm over Francis' shoulder. "Well if you did have a secret lover then you could always go out for a nice dinner mi amigo!"
Francis sighed. He'd thought of that but there was the chance that people would recognize him and or Arthur and then it wouldn't end well. "I can't do that." Francis shook his head, not even thinking about what he had just said.
Gilbert grinned. "So there is someone!" He exclaimed excitedly, poking Francis in the chest. Francis paled. "There isn't!" "There is so now just admit it French fry!" Francis shook his head and his friends sighed. They couldn't understand why Francis was trying to hid something so trivial from them. "Well why don't you just cook a nice romantic dinner? You love to cook." Antonio offered gently.
It was true. Francis loved to cook and he took care to make it just right. "I could..." Francis mumbled, trailing off near the end. His friends grinned to each other. They now new for sure that Francis had someone as the French teacher thought about the dinner. "Maybe throw in some wine." Gilbert offered suggestively. Francis rolled his eyes but didn't object.
He could make sure that Arthur didn't drink too much. He wouldn't want the teen drunk, especially around Matthew. The dream shattered and Francis shook his head quickly, as if shaking the thoughts from his mind. "Non, I have Matthieu to think about."
Antonio frowned, Gilbert tapped his chin, both in thought. "I can always babysit the munchkin!" Gilbert offered with a grin. "I like the kid. He's sorta cute. In an awesome but not as awesome as me way!" Francis bit his bottom lip. "I don't know..." Antonio saw that Francis was about to cave. "Sí! I can help Gilbert watch him! Maybe bring Lovi! That way he'll have three people watching him."
"Possibly five." Gilbert stated. "Ludwig will be us. And if you do bring Lovino he'll probably bring Feli and Ludwig won't let me do anything awesome with Birdie." Gilbert scowled softly.
Francis nodded. "Alright. Fine. But no alcohol around him. And he needs to be asleep by nine at the latest." Antonio fistpumped. "This is going to be so much fun! I'll make churros!" Gilbert grinned. "I can make potatoes! And wurst!"
Francis rubbed his forehead. "Alright. Fine. Fiine! You can watch him. I'll talk to him about the dinner date." Gilbert and Antonio cheered loudly.
Unbeknownst to the trio a certain dark haired freshman girl stood outside of the closed door and had heard some of the conversation. She grinned as she walked away, thinking about who could have possibly stolen her cousins heart. She let out a deep breath and grinned. She skipped towards her next class as the bell rang.
Arthur quickly made his way towards where he knew Francis parked. 'I've got to beat him there!' He thought, breaking out into a quick little jog. He saw the French man's car still sitting in the parking lot and let out a sigh of relief as he leaned against it. He stood up straighter as he saw Francis calmly walking to his car. "Ah, Arthur, good! I needed to talk to you!"
Arthur nearly fell. "That's good then. I needed to talk to you too!" He crossed his arms. Francis nodded towards the car. "Would you like a ride home? I need to pick up Matthew and that will give us a chance to talk." The Brit nodded in agreement and slipped into the car as Francis unlocked it and slid in. Francis started the car and made his way out of the parking lot. "So..." He trailed off and huffed to himself. 'I am not a teenager! He is! Just talk!' He gave himself a mental pep talk. "Would you like to come over this Friday for dinner?" He offered, holding his breath as Arthur's ears turned red in slight embarrassment.
Arthur coughed in an attempt to clear his throat. "Uhm sure? What's the occasion?" "Our first date." Francis said, stopping at the red light. Arthur looked out of the window. "Oh. Yeah. Yes. That'd be great!" He tried to hide his grin. "What about Matthew?" He asked suddenly remembering the small child.
Francis grinned. He adored that Arthur was thinking about his son. "Some of my friends offered to babysit him for the night." Arthur nodded and grinned, unable to hold it back. Francis chuckled, driving towards the preschool.
"Then we're set. I'll make a nice, romantic meal and then we'll decide what to do from there." Arthur nodded in agreement. Francis smiled warmly at the teenager.
