The Brit groaned and buried his face in his hands as he listened to Ian drone on, again, about the girl he saw with Arthur. Arthur's weekend since Ian had seen him with Chelle had consisted of his elder brother mercilessly teasing him about his new 'girlfriend' and attempting to interrogate him about her. "Look Ian, that girl was just a friend-" "Well how do you know her again?" "-and I'm about to be late for school so I'm going to leave now." Arthur continued, ignoring his brother as he was interrupted. He quickly sat his plate in the sink and grabbed his bag before hastily making his way out of the house.
Ian scowled and watched Arthur walk to school from the kitchen window. "I will find out who that girl is yah brat." He mumbled under his breath before turning to head back to his room to change for work.
Arthur paused as he saw Vladimir sitting by himself with a pouty look on the bench. The Brit shrugged off the feeling of unease and slowly approached his melancholy friend. "Good morning Vlad. Rough weekend?" Vladimir turned to glare harshly at Arthur. "My weekend was fine. I have to go to class." He stood and left the stunned Brit behind.
The dirty blonde haired teen watched as one of his best friends left without so much as a backwards glance. "But the bell didn't even ring yet?" He sighed. "Wonder what his problem is." He said to himself in thought.
"You shouldn't talk to yourself. People may think you're going crazy." Arthur turned his head sharply and stared at Lukas. "Do you have any idea what his problem is?" The stoic Norwegian shook his head. "He'll tell us when he's ready, I'm sure." He stared at something behind Arthur. "Now if you'll excuse me I have to go." He made to walk around his friend but Arthur moved in front of him. "Go where exactly?"
Arthur was beginning to get annoyed. Both of his best friends were blowing him off and it wasn't even time to go to class yet. Lukas narrowed his eyes and moved around the Brit. "Class." "The bell hasn't even rung yet!" Arthur glared slightly at Lukas' back. Lukas shrugged and continued his way into the school building.
The British teen scowled watched for a few more seconds before finally deciding to make his way to Francis' classroom. Today the door was open and the only person in the room was Francis. "What are you doing?" Arthur asked as he leaned against the doorway. Francis looked up, slightly startled, but smiled warmly at his secret boyfriend. Arthur moved so that he was standing in front of Francis' desk now. "Grading tests. Again. Most of the students made terrible scores."
Arthur flushed slightly. He didn't want to make a bad grade on one of Francis' tests. 'He's probably already graded mine and I probably failed and now he thinks I'm stupid!' Arthur rambled on mentally. "You did pretty good Arthur. I'm very proud of you." Francis took a sheet of paper from a stack and handed it to the shocked teenager.
He took the paper from the Frenchman's hand and slowly looked down at it. An 84 was circled at the top of the paper in deep blue ink. He grinned. "Seems like the tutoring may be paying off after all." Francis chuckled and took the paper and placed it back in its proper stack. "I think so mon cher~" Francis said with a quick wink.
"I still think the language is stupid." Francis rolled his eyes. "The bell is going to ring soon. You should go sit down now Arthur." Arthur sighed but did as suggested.
A minute later the bell rang and his classmates began to file into the room. "Now class, most of you did not do so well on the test so we're going to go over the test and if you wish you may do a make up assignment," Francis began to hand the tests back out. Almost everyone groaned.
Chelle leaned over to look at Arthur's test. "Wow! You actually passed?!" Arthur narrowed his eyes slightly at her. She giggled. "I'm going to have to ask Francis to tutor me."
"Chelle! It's Monsieur Bonnefoy in school!" Chelle rolled her eyes and ignored her cousin. Arthur smirked at Francis as he saw the Frenchman huff. Francis scowled at Arthur as he noticed the smirk but then smirked himself. "We're also going to try a new study method. Today in class you can only speak French. Any other language and you have to write an essay on a topic of my choice. Starting now nothing except French~" Francis sang out in too much glee as Arthur glared at him.
"This. Is. Stupid." Arthur said loudly, glaring at Francis. Francis grinned as everyone turned to face Arthur in shock. Arthur scowled as he saw Francis wink at him. He somehow withheld the urge to groan and complain as Francis assigned him an essay. Everyone snickered and smirked at Arthur's misfortune.
Meanwhile Vladimir was scowling at his paintbrush in annoyance as he thought about his two best friends. 'My supposed best friends!' He thought, scowling harder. 'They're both keeping secrets from me!' He painted a black mark over his detailed painting of trees and a river with crystal clear water with little fish in it.
"Oh dear me Vlad!" The Romanian turned sharply to glare slightly at his appalled art teacher. "You ruined your painting!" He sighed and turned back to his now messed up painting. The middle aged woman seemed to sense that there was something bothering her favorite student. She laid a hand onto his shoulder in a comforting gesture. "What's bothering you Vlad?" She asked in a motherly tone.
The Romanian teen sighed and rubbed the palms of his hands over his eyes as he shook his head, "It's nothing. Really. I just got frustrated is all." He stared at his painting as she pursed her lips in thought. The teacher soon nodded and gave him a last shoulder pat before walking away. Vladimir groaned and began to put the art tools away.
~Time Skip~
Lukas sat down at the lunch table he normally sat at with his two best friends and somehow resisted the urge to slam his lunch tray onto the table top. He was soon joined by a quiet and upset Romanian and then a huffy Brit. The trio sat in silence as they ate. You could feel the tension between them as they ate. Finally Vladimir decided he'd had enough and picked up his plate. "I'm going to art. I have to repaint a painting." He mumbled before he left.
Lukas stood as soon as he saw Vlad disappear. "I have to go to the library." And he too left. Arthur sighed and threw the rest of his lunch away before leaving the cafeteria.
Francis was in Gilbert's classroom with the Prussian and Antonio. He wasn't fully paying attention to his friends and they noticed this. The blonde man stood up, "I still have some tests to grade, mes amis." Antonio nodded and grinned widely, "That's never fun amigo." Francis chuckled before leaving the German class room.
Gilbert sipped his bottle of water. "We're going to follow after him, right?" Antonio laughed and nodded, "Of course!" They waited two minutes.
Arthur turned the classroom's door knob and saw that it was unlocked. He slipped into the dark classroom and kept the door cracked as he turned the lights on before making his way to Francis' desk and plopping into the swivel chair and setting his feet onto the desk, making sure not to put his feet onto any of the papers. He didn't have to wait long for Francis to enter the classroom.
Francis stopped at his classroom door and arched an eyebrow in thought. 'I turned the lights off. And shut the door all the way.' He thought before pushing the door open. He grinned widely as he saw Arthur in his chair. "You know I could give you detention for breaking into a teacher's classroom." He teased the British teen.
Arthur scoffed and placed his feet back onto the floor. "You could. But you won't." Arthur teased back. Francis closed the door and made his way to his younger boyfriend. Arthur allowed himself to be pulled up from the chair so that he was nearly pressed against Francis' chest. The teenager turned so his back was to the desk.
"So, not that I'm complaining, but why exactly are you in here during lunch?" Francis asked. Arthur looked down to the floor and shrugged before glaring at his French teacher. "I can't believe you gave me an essay! And it has to be in French! No English at all! How am I supposed to write an essay on French desserts all in French!"
Francis couldn't hold back his laughter at the look of disbelief on Arthur's face. Arthur rolled his eyes and sat on the desk, mindful of the papers. Francis leaned forward. "Perhaps I can assist you, cher." He stared into the endless emerald color of Arthur's eyes as the teenager glared. "Highly unlikely." "Oh but I'm sure that if you ate some of the magic that is French desserts you'll be able to write a magnificent essay!"
Arthur narrowed his eyes and scoffed. "I'm sure." Francis chuckled before quickly planting a kiss onto the Brit's lips. Arthur's eyes drifted closed as he kissed back. Francis lifted one hand from the desk to play with a few strands of dirty blonde hair.
The two were so occupied with each other that neither noticed the door opening as two other language teachers watched in shock, mouths open and eyes wide. Finally Gilbert pushed himself and Antonio all the way into room and slamming the door closed loudly. "Ahem!" Antonio said loudly at the same time.
Francis quickly backed away from Arthur. "Mes amis!" "Good lord!" Arthur jumped off the desk and stared between the three teachers. "This is not what it looks like!" Francis said loudly, paling slightly in fear.
Antonio and Gilbert shared a look before deciding to give Francis and Arthur a look. "Really? Because it looked like you two were really close to making out!" Gilbert said loudly.
Francis glanced to his younger boyfriend before facing his friends again. "It wasn't his fault! It was all mine." Francis pointed to himself and moved so that he was blocking Arthur from his friends' view.
Antonio rolled his eyes and watched Arthur. The teenager was obviously very nervous, possibly scared out of his mind, and he was staring worriedly at Francis' back. The Spaniard sighed softly. "Mi amigo, he's a student."
Francis nodded in understanding. "I know but-" "And to make it even more complicated he's Ian's younger brother!" Gilbert yelled, pulling at his white hair. Antonio saw Arthur wince slightly and cross his arms. "What are you going to tell Ian when he finds out you two are dating?" Antonio asked gently. "Yeah! You two used to fu- oof!" Gilbert was cut off as Antonio elbowed him in the stomach and shot him a look.
Arthur scowled. Sure he knew Francis used to date his brother. It wasn't exactly a secret. He remembered some nights when Francis would stay over and have to hear his brother and then boyfriend through out the night. Arthur shook his head in an attempt to will the thoughts and memories away. "I didn't think we'd really have to worry about telling my brother for a while actually." The Brit mumbled.
Francis nodded in agreement. Gilbert sat in a student's desk and crossed his arms, shaking his head. "This is one of the stupidest things you've possibly ever done French-fry." Francis looked at him in confusion. "Excusez-moi?"
The albino shrugged. "Well it's not like we're going to turn you in for dating a student." Antonio nodded in agreement, "You're our amigo, amigo. Just ah..." The Spaniard trailed off in thought. "Lock the door next time maybe," Gilbert continued with an eye roll.
Arthur blushed slightly and facepalmed. "Dully noted."
A/N: I'm just gonna end it here. Sorry for the late update. Again. On a positive side I decided how I'm going to have Lukas and Vlad find out about Arthur and Francis and also have the Magic Trio fix out their differences. Until next time!~ Thanks for the reviews and favs and favorites!
P.S. my dog feels so much better now!
