Chapter 17

"No! No! No! NO!" The Sorcerer yelled in his prison. The Ninja had defeated his monster AGAIN! And what's worse is that he'd teamed up with that new ninja!

"Calm down, grandpa. It's not the first time you've failed, if I'm correct." Mordea cackled as she filed her nails.

"You're one to talk! You've humiliated and scarred students in the most simple ways possible, thus making it too easy for these ninja nuisances to help them!"

"Hey, at least I'm doing something!"

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Who's the one in the field, terrorizing kids and making geeks cry? Moi, that's who! You're down here transforming them into creatures so easily defeated!"

"How dare you!"

"How dare YOU!" They both sighed in agitation and looked away from each other.

"How am I ever going to defeat the Ninja and his little girlfriend at this rate?" The Sorcerer grumbled.

"Quit crying about it and I'll tell you my plan. You're not allowed to judge until I'm done explaining."

"…alright, I'm listening."

"So, the Ninja is supposed to be a student here at Norrisville High, correct? Well, before winter break, the school is planning a field trip. They haven't decided where yet, but with a little help from me, the student council, and the planning committee, I think we can go to McFist industries."

"Go on…"

"My dad is pretty big in the industries, so I know Viceroy and McFist. If I'm not mistaken, those two are your allies."

"Unfortunately."

"If we cause some trouble on the trip, the Ninja and Kasumi will be there to save the day and we'll be able to catch them."

"Why not dispose of them immediately?"

"I figured you'd want the honors. Plus, if we can cause enough mayhem, I can get back my sister for the pain she's caused me. It's a win-win."

"You're so devilishly brilliant! I knew I wouldn't regret this alliance." The Sorcerer laughed darkly and Mordea smirked.

"I wouldn't dream of letting the one and only Sorcerer down. Not when this deal of ours is so beneficial for both parties involved."

A few weeks later, right at the end of the day, every homeroom made the announcement Mordea waiting for.

"Alright class, settle down! There's still five minutes of class left and then you can go home. On your way out, I want you all to pick up a permission slip for our winter field trip! This year, we're going to McFist industries for a grand tour of the main building so we can learn about McFist himself and what his businesses do! I expect them all turned in by the end of next week if you would like to come. Have a nice weekend!" The kids chattered excitedly about the trip as they hurried into the hall to grab a permission slip and their stuff before leaving.

"Have you been to McFist's office?" Howard questioned Lex as they left.

"Nope. Only Viceroy has, but I've met him and he's pretty cool."

"Viceroy? Cool?"

"What? He's the only one with a brain that he likes to use. You have seen the Robo-apes, haven't you?"

"Yeah."

"And his inventions?"

"Your point?"

"I don't need to explain it."

"I've got to agree with her. How many times has McFist thought something up to defeat me?" Randy said.

"Suck up…"

"I am not!"

"Think what you like, Randy."

"Is the lovely couple done bickering?" Lex joked with a playful smirk.

"Eww!" Randy and Howard jumped away from each other and Lex laughed.

"I love messing with you guys! Your reactions are hilarious!"

"Your crazy beyond reason sometimes and I hope you know that." Howard said as the group arrived at their lockers and grabbed their things.

"I know and, frankly, I'm quite proud of that fact!" Lex smiled, making Randy's heart melt a tiny bit. (Aww!)

"C'mon, we gotta get home before my dad asks where I've been." They walked outside to their bikes and hopped on before setting off for their neighboring homes.

The weekend flew by fast, followed by a blur of an actual school week. Luckily, right before that Friday, Lex, Howard, and Randy turning in their permission slips for the field trip. It wasn't long before Mordea caught wind of it the week following it. Hurrying through the halls, Mordea searched for the entrance to the Sorcerer's prison. Having memorized the exact path over their time plotting, it wasn't long until she found herself at the dark, steep staircase.

"I've got great news!" Mordea chirped, trying not to slip and fall down the endless flight of steps.

"What is it? I'm busy speaking to McFist."

"I'd like a word then!" Mordea was lifted off the stairs and brought to over to the Sorcerer, who was speaking to McFist and Vicerory through his powers. Still a mystery to Mordea, but hey. What can you do?

"McFist, let me introduce you to my new ally." The Sorcerer moved aside to reveal Mordea, who raised her eyebrow in a sort of bored greeting to the two men.

"This is the one you said would help you catch the Ninja?" McFist laughed while Viceroy rolled his eyes.

"Don't underestimate me, Hannibal McFist!"

"Why not? What have you planned that's more amazing than…! What was it again, Viceroy?"

"The D.O.O.M Bot. An invention so sinister, it'll be sure to destroy, or at very least capture, the Ninja." Viceroy explained with an obvious air of pride for his creation.

"Yes! My D.O.O.M Bot! What's more chaotic than a thing made out of doom and destruction itself?" McFist questioned.

"You're right. While I have the news that everyone in the school is going on the field trip to your building, you have a transformer. While I have the plan to capture the Ninja and let my good old friend, the Sorcerer, here destroy him going just as I anticipated, you built a toy. While I'm planning, you're charging into action without thought." McFist's jaw practically fell to the floor and Viceroy held back a grin.

"She has a point sir."

"Quiet!"

"Luckily, I find that both ideas can be combined here."

"How?"

"How else will we cause terror and destruction than with a D.O.O.M Bot? If something goes wrong, the Ninja and his new partner in heroism will be there. We'll catch them no problem."

"…how old are you?"

"I'm turning seventeen this year."

"Dang it! All the smart ones aren't old enough to work for me!"

"What about me?!" Viceroy and McFist bickered on their side, annoying the Sorcerer and Mordea.

"Enough!" The Sorcerer boomed. They both shrieked and hid at the Sorcerer's intimidating voice that echoed off the walls.

"I agreed that this plan should go along. I expect both Ninjas brought back to me and your sister, if you wish for me to do the honors."

"It'd be more fun to see someone with dark powers do this."

"You don't really trust this girl, do you?" McFist inquired from behind a table.

"You trust my father, Mr. Rivera, don't you? It's understandable why I'm so trusted by our boss. Now," Mordea glared at the two cowering men who seemed more frightened at her cold stare, "get back to work. We have a plan to execute in a few weeks time and I'd rather not waste time."

And so our villains plot the demise of the ninjas. How will it go? You'll have to stay tuned until Chapter 18! there's no telling how long it'll take until I get that chapter going, though, since I'm having horrible writer's block STILL and sometimes I know where to start a chapter but never how to continue it! Anyways, sorry for this short chapter!
