Megamind piloted the large robot into the Evil Lair and hopped down, quickly shouting for his companion as Susan climbed out a little more carefully. "Minion!"
"Yes, sir!" The fish exclaimed, clanging up noisily.
"I'll need help updating this for the rest of the day. Drop everything," he announced, and he took off without a backwards glance at his new partner in crime, Minion walking with him as he rattled off a list of parts and materials he would need.
"But, sir, I'm working on a souffle," Minion protested, but his objection feel on deaf ears.
"Uh, guys? What- what should I do?" she tried to call after them, but her soft voice couldn't be heard over the superhero's from where she was perched halfway out of the contraption. She felt momentarily hurt that he would dismiss her so easily, but then saw she had an opportunity for solitude, something that had been somewhat lacking when she was living with her fellow monsters in Monger's care. With a final leap down from the knee joint of the huge automaton, she readjusted her extremely mussed tube dress and walked quickly to her room.
She wanted another bath, but hated to have to put on the same clothes she was currently wearing. They were covered in dust and grime from the battle in the street, and she'd feel filthy again instantly after they were on. She went to the dresser without much hope, but found her old jumpsuit freshly washed and folded. "Thanks, Minion," she muttered gratefully, stripping off her clothes and heading to the empty bathroom.
Honey and vanilla tonight, Susan thought as she poured a capful of some bath potion into the water. With a little sigh, she slipped into the water, careful to hold her wrist just outside the steaming surface. A silly concern, she knew, when a genius alien and his assistant had assured her it was water proof, but she worried nonetheless. The heat of the water felt amazing. It had been a stressful day, and it was only her second hot bath in two years, after all.
Susan felt... Good. Really good. She thought about how empowering it had been to take action, to work as a team with someone, to fight. She had always enjoyed being physically active, and the exertions of the day had seemed like a satisfying and natural outlet for that need. It had been extremely difficult to find ways to exercise as Ginormica, but defending people was one of them.
Come to think of it, now that she had the option to be normally sized again, she should really look into joining a gym again. She didn't know how long she'd be staying with her hosts, but perhaps there was a place that would accept payment per session. Roxanne would probably be able to recommend somewhere.
She closed her eyes and let her mind wander, thoughts flashing in and out of her head; the feel of the stretchy dress as she slid it on; the press of Roxanne's body as she leaned into her; the rough brush of blue calluses against her palm as she climbed up a robotic leg. Her fingers unconsciously moved down her shoulder to her chest.
They paused there; this wasn't something she had ever indulged in. The memory of the rush of battle, the earlier soft warmth of laughter, and an intense green gaze were making her tingle all over. Fingertips tapped on her skin lightly, longingly. They wouldn't know, she rationalized, if she touched herself in their tub, wouldn't know she was thinking of them when she was doing it. Slippery fingers slid down and cupped one small breast, testing the softness there. There was hesitation in the movement. Susan hadn't touched herself like this in a long time. She ran her thumbs over her nipples, thinking of Roxanne's lush curves and how much softer they probably were than her own.
It felt nice, she thought. Her cheeks grew hot and her breath erratic as she kneaded her flesh. She tried to concentrate on the sensations, letting various arousing thoughts flit in and out of her consciousness. The bow of Megamind's blue lips featured prominently, as did the twinkle in Roxanne's eyes.
A little gasp left her as her fingers slid down her stomach in the water, rubbing the small swell just above her center. She hadn't done this in years, not since Derek had found her in a compromising position and protested. He wanted her to be a chaste symbol of femininity, and had chided her for being wanton.
She shut out the thoughts of her prior fiancee, concentrating instead on creating a fantasy of blue and apricot limbs. Soft and swelling, she touched her own depths, legs spreading of their own volition. The shiny surfaces of her knee caps broke the surface of the water as a low keening came from her. She was close to something, something new that she'd never experienced before, if only she could just reach it...

There was a knock at Susan's door as she slipped into the robe she had borrowed from Roxanne the previous evening. That goal on the horizon had eluded her momentarily, but she had still exited the bath with a feeling of newness, of discovery. She turned to find Minion entering the room, hesitating as he saw she wasn't fully dressed. "Apologies, Miss," he exclaimed, turning away.
"It's fine," she said softly, approaching him and taking the shopping bags from his hand. "Roxanne is back?"
"Uh, yes! Yes. She asked to see you when you've finished." The fish bent to pick up her discarded, grimy dress. "I took three of the outfits to work with today, but left the rest in case you needed them."
"Okay. Thanks," she said absently, pulling out a pair of khakis and a pink top.
It wasn't until she was in the living area, staying at the back of Roxanne's head and remembering the extremely naughty thoughts she had entertained about the reporter less than an hour before, that she was ashamed. She tired unsuccessfully to hold off her blush, but decided in the end that she could blame her coloring on the heat of the bath rather than embarrassment. "Hey," she called, coming around to sit on the couch.
"Oh, Susan," Roxanne said excitedly. "You were amazing! A hit!"
The white haired woman shook her head, feeling lost. "Uh... what?"
"The footage! It's all over the news!"
Roxanne pointed towards the stack of televisions on the wall, and Susan suddenly realized the news was showing footage of her fighting The Purist with Megamind at her side. She felt that sense of accomplishment coming over her again, amazed as she watched herself counter moves and throw punches.
Who would have thought that Susan Murphy could fight a super villain? A subconsciously satisfied smile came over her face.
"I told Jerry that I could get you for an interview." Roxanne's voice didn't register at first, as the lights flashed before her eyes. "I'll walk you through it, you won't have to worry about a thing."
"Interview?"
"Metro City is clamoring for information on you!" Roxanne explained excitedly, a strangely eager then in her eye. "Of course they heard about Ginormica when you defeated Gallaxhar, but now that your here, they want to know more. I know this is taking advantage of our connection... " Susan's heart skipped at the word. "You know us reporters, anything for story!"
"Sure!" Susan agreed immediately.
It wasn't until later that she regretted it.
