A/N I refuse to take the blame for this one! I had this chapter ready to go yesterday, but for some reason my internet connection wasn't being friendly. Anyways, it's fixed and I'm back.

She wasn't stalking them, per say.

Lucy liked to think of it as an undercover investigation. Like the people she saw on Law & Order: Criminal Intent at night. Except, rather than hunting down murders, she was hunting down celebrities. And instead of fancy, high-tech, computers; she was on her old laptop.

Not exactly the next CIA agent material but, hey, it was all she had.

Lucy clicked on a promising link labeled Fired Up! Wiki - the database for all your smoking hot and heart throbbing boy band needs.

A hourglass popped up on her screen and began turning in circle. As the page continued to load, Lucy glanced over at her phone.

Not even a text message.

It had been three days since she had met Natsu and Gray and neither had been in any form of contact - not that they could, Lucy realized later, since she hadn't given out her contact information to any one of them. But even knowing this fact didn't stop her from glancing to her phone every now and then.

Especially at times like these where her laptop took way longer than necessary to load one page. Not a high-tech CIA computer indeed.

"Welcome to our wiki, fellow Firener!" spoke a monotone voice through her speakers.

Lucy looked back to her computer to see that her loading icon had been replaced with an album photo, which had been greatly magnified so it fully took up her entire screen. The photo itself was much like other album covers Lucy had seen before - all five boys standing in a line, some leaning against each other while others stood off on their own, but all still widely grinning at the camera.

Lucy frowned as she looked at the photo. There was something different about their photo that made them different from the others she had seen before. For one, Natsu was the only one grinning. Instead, the others had taken other poses to better fit their personalities.

For instance, Gray, who stood beside Natsu in the shot, had chosen to smirk into the camera. He also had his left arm thrown over an orange haired boy's shoulder in a friendly manner while his other was tucked into his jeans pocket.

Seemed like Gray and Natsu actually had a fashion sense. Who knew?

Lucy assumed the three unfamiliar guys - the ginger who stood next to Gray, the angry, stoic guy on Natsu's right, and the blue haired guy with a red tattoo over his eye - in the shot had to be Gajeel, Loke, and Jellal. Unforchantly, the photo neglected to give out any clues on to who was who as the only form of writing on the photo was their name, Fired Up!, written at the top in golden letters.

"And there's no exit button." said Lucy, moving her mouse around the edges of the photo looking for the familiar black X.

"Please select one for further information," said the computer generated voice from earlier.

Select?

Lucy hovered her hand over her mouse, waiting for further instructions.

"Please select one for further information." the voice repeated.

"How do I select?" Lucy asked her laptop, moving her mouse at random across the photo, waiting for something to pop up.

"Please select one for further information."

"Got it the first time you said it." said Lucy, getting annoyed. She swiped the mouse across one of the band member's faces in frustration.

There was a sudden flash of orange on her screen which quickly disappeared once Lucy dropped her mouse, having been surprised by the unexpected light. With new found curiosity, Lucy slowly ran her cursor across the ginger's face again. The light reappeared, but this time it seemed to be focusing on lighting up one particular area; the outline of the keyboardist's body. Lucy grinned.

"Oh, I get it now." she said.

To test her theory, she dragged the mouse to the left, running the cursor in a line across their bodies. Once the cursor was no longer touching the ginger's body, the orange light vanished before being quickly replaced by a blue glow once the cursor hit Gray.

Links.

They were links! That probably meant that each member of the band was their own link to more information of them. Hence the different colored lighting for the links.

"Please select one for further information." the voice repeated for a fourth time.

Was it just her or did the monotonous voice just turn impatient? Was that even possible?

"Please select one for further information."

Yup, definitely not her imagination.

"Alright, alright. I'm selecting. Calm your code."

Lucy shut her eyes and clicked at the photo at random. When she opened them, the group photo had disappeared and was now replaced with a much smaller image of the tattooed bluenette. She scrolled down to read the information at the bottom of the photo.

Jellal Fernandes

Age- 19

Hair Color- Blue

Talent- Drummer

Relationship Status- Taken

So he was the one Tablin was talking about; the one dating the manager. Lucy continued to scroll and skim the paragraphs that followed Jellal's basic information. When nothing interesting caught her eye, she returned back to the group photo and, this time, clicked on the orange haired boy.

Loke (Leo)

Age- 18

Hair Color- Orange

Eye Color- Hazel

Talent- Keyboard

Lucy leaned back against her bed's frame. If he was Loke then the stoic guy had to Gajeel. At least now she had all their names straight. Now it was time for the real investigation.

She had just clicked the back button when her phone began to vibrate, signaling an incoming call. While the page loaded, Lucy pressed the answer button and raised her phone to her ear.

"Hello?"

"Lucy? It's Lisanna."

"Oh, hey. How's the orphanage?" asked Lucy. The Fired Up! group photo blinked back onto her computer and Lucy clicked on Gajeel's link.

"Weird you would ask, that's actually why I'm calling. I know your shift doesn't start until tomorrow, but I was wondering if you could come in today anyways. We're low on staff ever since Evergreen caught that nasty flu from Asuka." Lisanna explained, her tone apologetic.

Gajeel Redfox

"Not to mention, String and Rogue discovered the white and dark chocolate in the storage room. Y'know, the one's we were saving for Snack Time? Anyways, by the time Levy found them hiding out in the bathroom they had already devoured all the chocolate."

Eye Color- Red

Talent- Guitar

Relationship Status- Single

"They have been playing 'Slayers' for the past hour and poor Levy has taken about as many Dragon Roars as possible." Lisanna sighed, "Sorry to ask of you on your day off, but I'm pretty sure she's about to crash any minute now. Think you can make it?"

Lucy laughed and shut her laptop. Guess her little investigation would have to go on hold until further notice.

"Tell Lev help is on the way. I'll be over in a couple minutes."

It was a matter of mystery on how such a small place like Fairy Hills still remained standing with all the excitement that went on inside. From a distance it didn't look like much: a shabby, wooden, building practically invisible to anyone who didn't know it was there. To make matters worse, one of the letters in Fairy Hills had fallen causing the sign to now read Fairy ills.

Lucy sighed. Just another repair they couldn't afford.

She stopped at the wooden door and took a breath, mentally braced herself for the disaster she was sure to meet on the inside. She placed her hand on the knob, but didn't get a chance to turn it before it swung open on it's own. On the threshold stood a small, blond boy with white chocolate smeared all over his face and a flashlight in his hand.

"Hi, Sting," said Lucy, kindly. "I thought you were playing with Lev."

String clicked on the flashlight and waved it over his head, a wide grin appearing on his face, "The Celestial Dragon had appeared!" he declared before directing the light's beam directly in her eyes," WHITE DRAGON'S HOLY BREATH!"

Lucy was immediately lifted her hands to block her eyes, "I'm hit!" she replied dramatically and stumbled backwards for good measure. When she did so, the light on her eyes vanished, allowing her to lower her hands without the fear of being blinded.

"But, then again, your attacks are worthless against me." she said, giving String an evil grin.

She quickly rushed forward, taking the unsuspecting twelve year old off guard, and tackled him around the waist. They hit the carpeted ground with a muffled thud.

Sting squirmed underneath Lucy in an attempt to grab his flashlight again, it haven fallen out of his grasp when Lucy hit him. Lucy remained innocently oblivious to his struggles.

"Have you given up?" she asked, after watching his fruitlessly struggle under her weight for some time.

"Never! White Dragon's Punch!" he called and swiped his hand against Lucy's cheek in a slap.

"ARG!" Lucy screamed and rolled off Sting. She cupped the place where Sting had slapped her, even though the slap had felt like getting hit with a cushion.

Sting, realizing he was free, made a mad grab for his light before scrambling to his feet. He turned his head and called, "Rogue, let's go on double team!"

Lucy got to her feet and spotted Rouge, who also had matching chocolate face, sitting calmly on top of a very tired Levy's back. Levy gave Lucy a small wave when their eyes met as if to wish her good luck. Lucy gave her a small smile and thumbs up before quickly morphing it into one of exaggerated anger.

"Solid Script Dragon, have the Slayers finally vanquished thee?" she asked to Levy.

"I am indeed vanquished." mumbled Levy into the carpet.

"In that case," said Lucy, digging her hand into her pocket to pull out her ring of keys. She selected her house key and held it out before her like a weapon, "I will avenge thee. Be prepared Light and Shadow Dragon Slayers for I will not lose."

Sting smirked at this, "You won't being saying that after we destroy you. Are you coming, Rogue, or shall I defeat her myself?"

Rogue blinked as if to consider his options. Finally, he stood up and jumped off of Levy's back, who gave a loud sigh of relief from no longer having to bear his weight. Rouge took his battle stance next to Sting.

Lucy nodded and swiveled her gaze to meet the twelve year old's. She smirked. "Gate of the Water Bearer, I open thee!" she called, twisting the key in the air.

There was a beat of silence as String and Rouge evaluated her 'summon'. Lucy crossed her arms over her chest and laughed in a sadistic manner.

"Render speechless I see, Dragon Slayers?

Sting narrowed his eyes at her taunt. He glanced at Rouge out of the corner of his eye and nodded. Rogue did the same.

"Not quite." Sting replied, pulling his left hand back while Rouge did the same with his right, "We were just waiting to see what you had to offer us. Not much I see."

"It's been fun, Celestial Dragon." said Rouge quietly.

He and Sting simultaneously clenched the hands they had pulled behind them into fists. In a flash, they threw them towards and together yelled, "Holy Shadow Dragon's Flash Fang!"

Lucy stood frozen as Sting and Rogue fell on their butts, both breathing hard. Internally, Lucy cracked a grin. Apparently their sugar high had finally reached it's decline.

"Psst, Lu!" whispered Levy, waving her arm above her head to get the blonds attention. When she did, she pointed to the ground, "Die already!"

Oh, right. She had almost forgotten.

"I-impossible." Lucy stuttered. Her keys dropped onto the floor when she fell on one knee, clenching her gut and coughing. "For me to be defeated by-" she raised her head to see String grinning at her in triumph while Rouge remained emotionless.

Wow, she didn't think her acting was that bad.

"I-i-mpossible." she repeated again, this time collapsing fully.

She heard Sting yell out a shout of victory and high-five Rouge. Lucy remained on the ground trying not to move. Sting continued to gloat over his victory before shortly being interrupted by Mirajane calling them for breakfast.

For all the chocolate they ate, it was a wonder how they would manage to squeeze more food into their stomachs.

When she was sure they were out of sight, Lucy opened her eyes and rolled over on her stomach, snatching her keys off the carpet.

"We will get them next time, fellow dragon." said Levy, sitting up from her spot.

"I'm just hoping 'next time' doesn't come for the another 24 hours. I'm already beat and I only fought for ten minutes." Lucy sighed, "How was your fight?"

Levy massaged her shoulders,"Not too bad. I had some help early on from Take Over Dragon. I only went solo when she left to call you."

"Speaking of Lisanna, where is she?" Lucy asked.

"Last I heard, in the rec room trying to repair the TV."

Lucy stood up and patted her stomach, "Oh, well, do you think there will be enough food for me? I skipped breakfast this morning."

"Think so. Here I'll come too. Acting like a dragon for those too always makes me thirsty."

When Lucy and Levy pushed open the kitchen doors, they were immediately hit with the delicious aroma of sizzling bacon and pancakes. Lucy's stomach gave an approving growl as she made a grab for one of the golden brown pancakes sitting on a plate next to her. But, before she could, a spoon struck the area inches from her hand.

"Ow! That could have hurt me." said Lucy, pulling her hand away. She gave Mirajane a pout, "Just one?"

"You know that's for the kids." replied Mirajane, holding up a spoon/weapon in warning.

"Aw, you're no fun Mira." whined Lucy, but none the less reached for a fresh orange on the fruit bowl. She sat on the counter and began peeling back the skin as Levy started filling up a glass of tap water.

"How was the fight?" asked Mirajane conversationally, turning her attention back to the pancake batter.

"It was a crushing defeat." replied Levy, when she finished draining the cup. She held it under the tap again for a refill, "Even your sister was annihilated."

Mira laughed, "Do you want me to get revenge?"

"I don't think the Demon Dragon needs to make another appearance just yet."replied Lucy. "Their pride is still recovering from last time. "

The kitchen door opened and a bluenette carrying two empty platters entered. She gave Lucy and Levy and nod of hello, which they returned, and turned to Mirajane.

"Juvia needs more pancakes. Bacon too." Juvia said.

Using her now batter coated spoon, Mirajane motioned to the plate stacked with awaiting pancakes, "More is on the way." she said when Juvia raised her eyebrow in question at the small stack.

"Juvia will come back for the bacon." She placed the plate on her platter and disappeared through the doorway again.

Levy had just finished downing her second glass before the was abruptly slammed open again. This time by Lisanna.

"Woah. Where's the fire, Lisanna?" joked Levy, looking at her friend in surprise.

Lissanna waved off her joke with a flick of her wrist, "I just turned on the TV and the News was on."

There was a moment of silence. Mirajane, Lucy, and Levy looked at each other with the same expression of confusion.

"And?" promoted Lucy.

"Seriously?" said Lisanna exasperated, "Have you seen it? There was a robbery at one of the gas stations downtown. Not to mention, they got the two robbers on tape!"

A/N Good news for my readers:

In about three weeks, school starts for me, and in turn, my updating speed for my stories will increase! Don't ask me why I am so weird with my writing (slower updates in the summer and faster during school days) it is just the way the factors in my life turn out.
