April 17th 2:45am Eastern Time - At Wally and Artemis' Apartment

"So what's the plan this time?" Wally asked Dick as the two sat and the dining table each with a beer in front of them neither taking Dick's age of 19 into account. They had a manila file opened on the table with a printed out freeze frame of Dax, the Kryptonite laced dart results and multiple different photos from the crime scene.

"Send Ace in," Dick responded before taking a swig of his beer.

"I'm going to need more than that Dick," Wally told him with a straight face.

"Ace has a satellite chip in him in case of emergencies. The only difficulty with this is getting them to take Ace because we don't know if there's a pattern to them taking certain dogs or what," Dick explained.

"This plan just goes off of chance, Dick. We need a solid plan. Set something up with Kal or Artemis to tell us some more information on this. Dick, we can't go in there blind," Wally leaned over the table as if it would Dick understand any better.

"I know, but we can't risk another meeting with them quite yet or someone will get suspicious," Dick replied.

April 17th 8:15am Eastern Time - S.T.A.R. Labs with Virgil and Krypto

Virgil slammed the off button on his alarm before dragging himself out of bed. He had woken up fifteen minutes earlier than usual in order to find a hiding spot for Krypto before they brought in his breakfast.

Krypto, who had snapped out of his dreamland state by the first second Virgil's alarm went off, was burying his head underneath one of Virgil's pillows trying to muffle the unnecessarily loud noise.

Virgil then scooped Krypto in his arms once out of bed and he turned off his alarm. Dude, can't you see that I was sleeping in for once? Krypto demanded grumpily.

"Shh," Virgil replied to Krypto's barking. "Do you want someone to find you?" Krypto was silent. "Thought so. Now a hiding spot so no one will be able to find you and take you away."

Rolling his eyes Krypto went for the oldest trick in the book, hiding under the bed and behind whatever else was underneath there. Taking a few steps to the door, Virgil turned to see if he could see Krypto from where he was standing. Walking all the way around the room no matter how hard he tried, Virgil couldn't see Krypto.

"That will do," Virgil confirmed only to interrupted by a harsh knock on the door. Virgil answered the door only to have a food tray shoved in his face as usual. There were no words of thanks or gratitude exchanged for it was against policy and the delivery girl was very threatening in her tiger body suit and mask and many weapons attached to her hips.

From Krypto's hiding spot he could see the entire exchanged. Krypto sniffed the air not only because he was hungry, but also because the sent of the tiger girl was familiar to him. Krypto quickly became confused convinced that he knows or knew someone with that sent, but knows for sure that he has never seen a woman looking like the one at the door in his life.

Krypto pushed his suspicions aside when the door was closed and emerged to eat with his knew friend.

April 17th 9:32am Eastern Time - S.T.A.R. Labs with Artemis (switching it up on you)

Artemis took a deep breath before walking through the automatic doors to one of the labs. Whatever Dax wanted with her she better get it over with sooner rather than later, right? The sooner I get all this over with, the sooner I get to see Wally again, she told herself as she came to a stop in the middle of the room. She didn't like this Dax character one bit and on top of that he was probably going to give her orders. Why me? she pleaded with whoever or whatever was listening.

"Tigress, good you're here," Dax said while entering the room from the back door that Artemis suspects is where all the real experiments happen.

"Where else would I be?" Artemis sassed back.

Ignoring Artemis' snap Dax continued on with his instructions, "I need you to find one of our experimental dogs that ran off."

"A dog? That's what you called me in for? A dog?" Artemis asked in disbelief and Dax gave a short nod confirming her questions. "Why can't one of your men do this? I'm a highly trained assassin, not animal control."

"My men tried and failed to capture this dog because this is no ordinary dog," Dax snapped at Artemis fed up with her questioning his authority and the handling of the situation. Taking Artemis' confused silence as an invitation to go on he did just that, "There is a Superdog in this facility."

Artemis thanked her lucky starts that she was wearing a mask right then and there. This wouldn't get past Conner she knew, so she had no doubt that half the team and probably a few league members were looking for the Dog of Steel. If Krypto was somewhere in this facility then the two would for sure run into each other some time.

"You can count on me to find him," Artemis replied before walking out of the lab and back to the staff to ask around as a starter.

April 17th 12:13pm - Mount Justice with the Team and Dinah and Ollie

"So you two are saying that because Ace has a microchip in him that we need to somehow get Dax interested in him, so that we can find the Reach's location?" Barbara asked Wally and Dick as Wally ate a sandwich next to her at the bar and Dick cooked himself and her grilled-cheese sandwiches.

"Yes," Dick replied as he flipped a sandwich onto the other side to cook.

"How do you propose we do that?" Conner asked while eating his pop-tart - the guy had really grown fond of pop-tarts as of recently.

"Make them believe that Ace is another Superdog," Wally answered seriously after swallowing the last bit of his sandwich. Three feminine laughs erupted in the room belonging to Dinah, Rocket and Barbara earning confused looks from their male colleagues and M'gann.

"That's funny, but no really what are you going to do?" Rocket asked stifling her laughter to giggles and whipping her watering eyes.

"We're being serious," Dick stated in his authoritative voice making the laughing seize all together. "All we need is Ace, Kara, Conner, a video camera and the wonderful editing tool known as Photoshop. Make a viral video of Ace being all Superdog-like and what do you know they are coming after Ace."

"Ace could be poisoned by the Kryptonite laced dart. I mean look at Lex Luthor," Barbara pointed out.

"I'm sure that he could figure something out. He's not stupid BG," a female voice said behind everyone in the doorway. Barbara swiveled around in her chair and Conner's pop-tart in the toaster popped up and they both exclaimed happily, "Kara!"

The young superpowered blonde gave Barbara a light squeeze before giving Conner a bone crushing hug and then stealing his pop-tart.

"Hey," Conner said trying to snatch back his pop-tart.

"Snooze you lose Littlest Cuz," Kara replied before taking a bit of the sugary treat. "So, enough chitchat, we have a viral video to film."

April 17th 8:45pm - S.T.A.R. Labs with Artemis

"I want you to search every little room, every little nook and cranny until we find that dog," Artemis told her small group of soldiers. "Although, you must be discrete about it and if you find the dog bring it back to me before you do anything else. Understood?"

All of the armed men nodded before starting their search.

A/N: Sorry about the long wait, I've been busy with school and swimming. Left you with a little cliffhanger again, but hopefully I'll get another chapter up soon so you get to know what happens next. And Kara's in the chapters now yay, I'm trying to make this story more Superfamily and BFF Barbara kind of and I'm trying to write Virgil and Krypto in a little more, so you can count on seeing them a lot more in the chapters to come.
