April 18th 9:27am - S.T.A.R. Labs with Artemis and Dax

"What do you mean that you couldn't find the dog?!" Dax yelled at the tiger suit clad woman.

"What I mean is that the dog is in every plausible place searched," Art - Tigress replied calmly.

"Well then search in every illogical place the mutt could be," snarled Dax. Tigress nodded walking out of the room with two of Dax's men.

April 18th 9:44am - S.T.A.R. Labs with Krypto

The human boy was gone for testing as per usual. This was the only time that Krypto had to explore and find a way out of what he deemed 'an extremely large test tube'.

Flying up to the door handle, Krypto tried to open the door like he had seem people do many a times before. Times like these I wish that I had opposable thumbs, thought Krypto. After many different and indescribably weird maneuvers, the Superdog finally opened the door. Krypto dropped down to the ground an walked out to the empty hallway. So far so good, thought Krypto as he sniffed around. Now I only need to figure out where I am and how to get out.

April 18th 10:08am - Kent Farm

Martha Kent came out of the house carrying a full tray of empty glasses and a pitcher full of lemonade. A huge green screen filled her vast yard along with multiple college students and an older couple. There was a small breeze, but not enough to blow off Martha's straw hat.

"I brought you kids some lemonade," Martha informed the group as she approached them. "If you need anything else just let me know."

"Thanks, Ma, but I think we're good for now," Kara flew over from the set and grabbed the tray from the old woman. She set it down on a table beside her.

"Actually a few sandwiches would be awesome," Wally piped up behind everyone swarming the refreshments.

"Dude, really?" Dick looked back at the speedster giving him the 'we-are-guests-so-don't-take-advantage-of-our-stay' look.

"I have a fast metabolism!" Wally exasperatedly yelled back with his arms up in surrender.

"Oh, it's quite all right. I'll make snacks for everybody," Martha waved off the boys interaction.

"Thank you, Martha. For everything really," Barbara thanked her best friend's surrogate mother.

"Anything for such wonderful kids, Dear," Martha replied with her southern accent. She made her back inside the house to prepare food.

"Babs," Dick barked at her.

"Yes?"

"Do we have what we need?"

"Yeah, because I'm tired and it's hot out," Karen complained while fanning herself.

"Just need to run through the last part until you guys don't sound so scripted," Barbara flakily smiled at the group. A chorus of groans followed.

"Not my fault that you guys can't act," Barbara shrugged.

April 18th 1:47pm - S.T.A.R. Labs with Krypto

After hours of searching, Krypto still couldn't find a door with an exit sign over it. The white pup sat in the middle of an abandoned hallway and face palmed (face pawed?).

This is hopeless, thought Krypto. All that I can do now is sit and wait for someone to come and get me.

With a heavy heart the Superdog trudged back to Virgil's room for a much needed nap.

April 18th 2:16pm - Kent Farm

The group of superheroes crowded around the laptop on the kitchen table in anticipation. Barbara saved the finalized video and started the process of uploading to YouTube.

The room released a breath that no one knew that they were holding when the video was posted on YouTube.

"Now what?" Mal asked the burning question.

"Now, we spread the word of a new Superdog and wait," Dick replied as he pet Ace's ears.

"How long do think until they come after Ace?" Oliver asked while rocking back and forth on his heels.

"That's the bad thing; we don't know," Barbara answered. The room's atmosphere went back to tense anticipation.

April 20th 5:56am - S.T.A.R. Labs with Dax and Tamar

"This is Cat Grant with the GBS morning news. To start us off this morning, a viral video posted on YouTube shows that there just might be one more Superdog then we think. Take a look," The TV in the lab buzzed. Dax walked over closer to the television set while turning up the volume.

"Tamar," Dax yelled out. The woman in question came rushing out of the back room.

"Yes?" She asked.

"Get ready for another Superdog, and this time don't lose it," Dax ordered turning away from the news broadcast. Tamar walked back to the room that she came from. Dax walked to the opposite end of the room and opened a closet. Stealth gear and lethal and nonlethal weapons were perfectly arrayed as Dax took his pick.

April 20th 7:38am - S.T.A.R. Labs with Virgil and Krypto

Virgil had close to twenty minutes until his tests for the day began. He lounged on his bed with his laptop resting on his knees and Krypto curled up on the pillow next to him.

Krypto's vision was slightly blurry from sleep making it hard to make out what was on the boy's screen. That didn't mean that his hearing was impaired at all. Virgil pressed play on the latest viral videos on YouTube. Krypto heard barking, familiar barking, like someone was trying to communicate with him. Krypto blinked the tired out of his eyes as his eyes trained on the computer screen.

"They are sending me in to find and extract you." Once Krypto's eyes had focused enough to make out the details of the dog and humans on the screen, he realized who was talking. Krypto froze as it all sunk in and everyone became recognizable on the screen. The most important face was Ace.

No, no, no, no, Krypto thought. ACE!
