Stefan and Elena arrived back at the house first. They parked and shut the car as they waited for the others to arrive.

"So, you didn't recognize him, you haven't seen him before?" Stefan asked her about the vampire that had grabbed her.

"No, there was nothing familiar about him at all." Elena told him.

Stefan sighed. SO much for a night of no vampires. "Ok, let's call it a night. Ok? Send Matt and Caroline home?"

Elena frowned and shook her head. "No, the whole point of the night was to not have to deal with this stuff. We need to get through one night, One normal night."

"You're sure?"

"No I'm not sure, but I don't know what else to do. Look, if there's another vampire in town, he'll still be here tomorrow. We'll deal with it tomorrow."

Stefan sighed and nodded. Two more cars pulled into the driveway.

"It's them. Come here" They shared a kiss and got out of the car.

Everyone went inside to the Salvatore house.

They walked in and Caroline and Matt were amazed.

"My entire house could fit in her two times!" Matt laughed.

"I feel like I've been here before…it's weird." Caroline said as she looked around.

"Um…do you guys want to watch a movie?" Elena asked changing the subject.

Matt was going to answer when he saw Stefan car model collection and his answer flew out the window. "Whoa! Those are soo cool!"

"Just a little hobby of mine." Stefan said.

" I did the entire Mustang series when I was 9." Matt smiled.

So you like cars?" Stefan asked once more.

"That's an understatement."

Stefan smiled. "Come with me"

They all followed and walked out to the garage where Stefan revealed an old red car. Matt was speechless for a minute.

"How do you even have this?!" he asked.

"It was passed down through the family." He answered casually. He looked to Lexi and they shared a smile. It was actually a birthday present from Lexi when the car was first made. Lexi smiled but then Stefan frowned. He knew her smile was forced. He gave her an encouraging smile and mouth "we will talk later I promise."

She just nodded and turned her attention back to the car. Stefan looked around and mentally growled. Lee was nowhere to be seen.

"Why don't you drive this?" Matt asked.

"It doesn't run." Stefan answered. "I mean I'm sure I could figure it out if I wanted to."

"Why would you keep a car if it doesn't run?" Caroline asked.

"Could you be any more of a girl right now?" Matt teased.

"Why do you keep a pair of shoes if they are out of style?" Lexi asked.

"Oh! Now I get it." Caroline said.

Everyone laughed.

Stefan lifted the hood and looked to Matt. "Come check this out."

Matt all but ran over to Stefan and helped him inspect under the hood. "Elena, remember the old Camaro you're dad used to have?" Matt asked.

"Of course!" Elena laughed.

"I built and rebuilt that engine 20 times!" Matt bragged happily.

"Wow!" Stefan said with a smile.

"Whatever happen to that car?" Matt asked Elena.

Elena was quiet for a minute but then she sighed. "It's at the bottom of a Lake at Whickery Bridge."

Everyone froze and looked at Elena. Caroline spoke up trying to change the subject and lighten the mood. "I don't like sport cars. They are too hard to make out in."

"It wasn't that bad." Matt said looking to Elena.

Things got even more awkward and Caroline and Elena walked out. Matt sighed.

"I'm sorry." He said to Stefan.

"No, no, no. Don't worry about it. You and Elena, you guys have an history and ignore it doesn't do anybody any good."

"I guess but I shouldn't have asked that question about Elena's Dad's car. Especially after Lee's stupid comment anyway."

"It's ok. I've made mistakes like that too. I asked how she was so good at pool and it had the same reaction."

Matt nodded. But still felt back.

"Hey, I've got an idea. Why don't you prove to Caroline how easy it is to make out in a sports car?"

"What?" Matt laughed.

"I'll make you a deal, you help me start this and you can take Caroline for a drive in it."

"YES! Dude you're awesome!"

Stefan chuckled and looked to Lexi. She had a huge smile on her face and this time it was real. She was watching Matt closely…a little too closely. It was that moment Stefan realized what was going on. "Lexi, why don't you go check on the girls. We will be out soon."

Lexi nodded and left the garage.

She found Elena standing with Caroline. Things looked tense. She could hear them arguing over Matt and that he still loved Elena. Lexi sighed; she couldn't be with Matt, even if she wanted to. It would destroy Caroline.

She walked over to the two girls. "You guys all right."

"We would be if Elena would stop flirting with Matt!" Caroline yelled.

"I'm not flirting with anyone!" Elena fought back.

"Oh please! Matt can't keep his eyes off you the entire night."

"I'm with Stefan, Caroline. It's over between Matt and I."

"Yeah? Well you might want to tell him that!" Caroline shrieked.

"Caroline stop it! Look, just because someone has feelings for you doesn't mean you have the same feelings. Matt still loves Elena and that's never going to go away."

"Gee, thanks for making me feel better!" Caroline growled.

"Just listen! Matt and Elena are childhood best friends, the grew up to together and they will always have a special place in each other's hearts because of it. Matt will ALWAYS love Elena but like a little sister. He just has to realize that what he feels for her now is nothing romantic. Once he does things will be less awkward between the two of them."

Caroline shook her head and was about to respond when they heard a car headed their way. They all turned to look and saw Stefan and Matt inside Stefan's old car. They had gotten it to work.

They climbed out of it and smiled.

"Piece of cake." Matt smiled.

Stefan tossed the keys to Matt. "Go ahead."

"Yes! Come on Care!" He quickly rushed around to the driver side.

Caroline sighed and got in. They drove away.

"You ok?" Stefan asked Elena.

"If it's not vampires it's girlfriends." Elena sighed.

Stefan pulled her into his arms and just held her close.

Lexi slipped away leaving them alone. She had to forget about Matt it was NEVER going to happen. She sighed at that thought and went back into the house.

Stefan kissed her head. "Now that we are alone tell me, are you ok?"

Elena sighed. "I'm not mad at Matt, if that's what you mean? It's not his fault. It doesn't matter who says it or what they say any conversation about my parents right now bring out this sad side of me. It won't always be like this but for now it is."

Stefan kissed her head. "Elena, how are you?"

Elena sighed. "I'm ok. Like normal the flashbacks hurt worse than anything. But I'll be ok. Just…can we just stay like this and you hold me?"

"Of course." Stefan hugged her tighter and they just stood there holding each other.

A little later Matt and Caroline returned so they all went inside. Stefan made some popcorn and grabbed a few drinks and everyone settled on the couch to watch a movie.

During the movie Stefan leaned down and whispered in Elena's ear "Why are we watching a vampire movie? Seriously they stereotype vampires so badly and makes us seem like evil killing machines and we aren't all like that."

Elena giggled quietly and shook her head. "Caroline wanted to watch a horror movie so if things got scary she could jump and cling to him." She said low enough only he'd hear them.

"Well if you get scared I'm here." He said back.

"My boyfriend and best friend are vampires this doesn't scare me."

As if on cue the vampire in the movie jumped out from his hiding spot and grabbed the girl causing her to scream and causing Elena to jump out of her skin. Stefan chuckled. "This doesn't scare you huh?" he teased.

"Shut up." She giggled.

Once the movie was over Stefan turned it off.

"So would you guys date a vampire?" Matt asked.

"No way, I wouldn't be scared of them but I feel bad because my blood would always be calling to him and making him uncomfortable. I wouldn't want to put him through that."

Elena gave an uncomfortable smile. Stefan hugged her tighter and kissed her head

"What about you Elena?" Matt asked.

Elena shrugged. "As long as he was nice and caring then sure."

"What vampire is nice and caring Elena?" Matt laughed.

Elena just shrugged.

"What I don't understand is their way of turning someone into a vampire. I mean seriously. Is it true all they really have to do is bite you, anywhere on your body, and you're automatically a vampire?" Caroline asked.

"Oh no that'd be way too easy." Stefan said.

Elena looked to him shocked. What was he doing?

"No, no, it's a whole process. My Dad was a vampire hunter he told me all about them so I know. Now watch closely."

He leaned down moved Elena's hair from one side to the other on her neck. "First you lean down real close to their neck…" He whispered in Elena's ear "Do you trust me?"

She nodded softly so he continued. "Then press a soft kiss right here below the earlobe and jawline…" He did as he said and pressed a kiss right to Elena's neck. She instantly smiled as it tickled. "And a then do it again" he spoke with his lips still on her neck, and kissed that same spot again.

Elena quickly shrugged and giggled. "Stefan, that tickles."

"Ah see it's working. The harder she laughs the better stronger vampire she'll turn into." He said looking to Matt and Caroline. As he did that his hands moved to her sides. "Once you get her laughing she can't stop." He went back to kissing her neck and this time his fingers attacked her sides at the same time.

She screamed and burst into laughter and squirmed around on the couch. "DON'T!"

Matt and Caroline laughed.

"Stefan please don't!" Elena choked out between giggles.

Stefan chuckled and stopped kissing her neck. "See, now you just keep her laughing like this for 48 hours and by the 3rd day she'll be a vampire."

"Well then what's next?" Matt laughed as Elena continued to squirm around and laugh.

"You tell me, you've known Elena the longest where can I get her that she'll laugh the hardest?" Stefan asked as he stopped tickling her sides to let her breathe.

"Oh that's easy." Matt laughed.

"Matthew Steven Donavan don't you dare!" Elena squealed.

"Oh full name you're in trouble now." Caroline teased.

"Plus why are we turning me, let's turn Caroline?" Elena said.

"Hey! Why me? I don't want to be a vampire!"

Stefan laughed. He was glad they were able to joke about this. He smirked. "Matt what do you say we turn both the girls, you turn Caroline and I'll turn Elena."

"No!" Caroline squealed.

"Don't you dare!" Elena said.

They both jumped off the couch.

Matt laughed. "Stefan and I are feeling generous today so we will give you two a head start."

They looked to each other and then to the boys and took off running. Stefan and Matt laughed and waiting another minute before getting up and chasing after the girls.

The girls had split up so the caused Matt and Stefan to have to split up which was good for Stefan. He knew where Elena was, he could sense her he just needed the right amount of speed to catch her. He stopped running and looked around. He was a alone. He smirked and raced up the stairs.

Elena had just reached his bedroom when she was caught around the waist. She screamed startled at first but then relaxed. She knew Stefan would never hurt her. "Gotcha!" he whispered in her ear making her giggle and shrug as his breath tickled her ear. "Stop it."

He laughed and moved his hand to her stomach. She shrieked and bust into giggles as she squirmed around in his arms.

"Stefan stop it!" she laughed.

Stefan chuckled he pressed his face into her neck and blew a raspberry.

Elena screamed and burst into laughter. "Stefan!"

"We've got to keep you laughing or you won't be turned." He gave her another raspberry causing another scream and more laughter.

Stefan chuckled at her. Then he stopped. He let her go. They shared a kiss and Elena smiled.

"Thanks a lot now I have to go to the bathroom."

He chuckled and kissed her forhead. "Go, I'll find Caroline and Matt and meet you back in the living room."

Elena nodded and headed to the bathroom.

Once she was finished she opened the door and was about to walk out when someone grabbed her by the neck and pushed her back into the bathroom and against the wall.

It took a second to the dizziness to wear off but then she saw Lee and he looked angry.

"Lee, what's going on? What are you doing?"

"I've always wanted you, Elena."

Elena's eyes went wide. "What about Lexi?!"

Lee laughed. "Ewww not like that. You're too disgusting and fat and ugly for my liking."

"But you just said…" then it clicked in her head what he meant. She started to squirm. "No, Lee, let me go!"

He covered her mouth with his hand and reached behind him to turn the sink on. "Shut up! I don't want Lexi or Stefan to hear this. They might try and stop me."

" Ee peas don't!" Elena begged muffled through his hand.

With strong force Lee leaned her neck down to one side. "Just one bite."

Elena pushed his hand away from her mouth once he let his guard down she screamed. "STEFAN LEXI HELP!"

A harsh hand was slapped back over her mouth and he growled and looked her in the eyes. "Do not scream or make any sounds!"

She knew he was compelling her but thanks to the necklace he gave her it didn't work. But did she pretend it was working or let him know it didn't work.

He moved his lips closer and closer to her neck and her panic took over. She screamed again "STEFAN LEXI HELP!"

Lee stopped and looked at her confused. "I just compelled you…you must have vervain on you."

He looked down to her necklace and she gulped. He grabbed it and ripped it off her neck. She let out another scream. She was now and officially under his control there was no way this could end well.
