Okay, guys, I owe you an apology. God only knows how long it's been since the last update. Over a month, I think. I've lost the storyline and now I have some bad news.
I'm dropping the story.
I'm really sorry about this. Every time I wrote a draft, it ended up coming out soggy and shallow. The story wouldn't go the way I wanted it to, and my muse was apparently pretty flighty.
I'm leaving you these plotpoints so you don't have an eternal cliffhanger.
