Ok, guys, here is part one of the next chapter! I had to split it in two because it's really long...

Hopefully you'll enjoy it!

–-

The room was small but comfortable, and the chairs had been arranged in a circle, with the tables pushed to the back of the room and holding the unnecessary school equipment. The curtains were closed as always, letting the light turn orange and giving a very "kitchen"y aspect to the class.

The handful of students here were all very close, even though they were all very different, and as they put it: "what happens in club time, stays in club time."

The bell rang, once, twice, and the students looked up as their leader stood up. "Welcome, everyone, to the Young Amorous Optimization Initiative club, also known as Y.A.O.I. club, where we work together to ensure the harmony of our fellow students' lives!"

"Eliza, you do realize that we've all heard the speech, like, twenty gazillion times?" Feliks interrupted, as the others tittered in amusement. Elizaveta pouted: "But we took really long to find an acronym to go with yaoi! I should at least put it in valour!" More laughter.

The brunet grinned, then held her hand up for silence: "Ok, ok, I get it. Seriously though, lemme just go through the list, kay?" The room quieted instantly.

"Angélique?"

"Oui!"

"Bella?"

"Ja!"

"Feliks?"

"Tak!"

"Kiku?"

"Hai!"

"Lili?"

"Ja!"

"Mei Mei?"

"Shi de!"

"And Kat is ill and I'm here..." Elizaveta muttered as she ticked off her name.

She straightened her back and grinned at her fellow "life-betterers" (or raging fan-girls, depending on if you were being honest). "So, who has something to say before I share the excellent news?"

Bella's hand shot up. "Hai, Bella?" Kiku asked politely.

"It is my great pleasure to announce..." Bella's nose quivered with excitement. "THAT ANTONIO IS NOW DATING LOVINO VARGAS!"

There was a moment of silence, then a high-pitched screaming filled the room. (Somewhere at the other side of school, Roderich grinded his teeth together, wondering who had killed a cat.) "NO WAY!" Eliza shrieked, grabbing her friend in delight and twirling her around. Angélique fanned herself happily, while Feliks smiled fleetingly, Lili covered her mouth and Mei Mei grabbed Kiku.

"It's true!" Bella chirped, her smile feline. "He literally told me so!" There was a chorus of "aw"s from the room. After a moment of content silence wherein they invented all their new projects dealing with "Spamano" (doujins, fanfics, fanart and all the rest), Mei Mei suddenly punched playfully at the Belgian. "Ah, it's not fair! Why does your OTP come to life when Yao and Yong Su still aren't dating, neh?" Kiku stuttered in embarrassment. "A-ah, Xiao Mei, you should not say such things..." The Taiwanese girl pouted, flopping back down on her chair: "But Kiku, what would you do if GerIta happened, huh?" "Oui, or USUK?" "What about RoChu?" "Or, like, DenNor?"

"Ja, and -"

The Japanese student flushed and waved his arms. "Gomenne! Please stop! I understand!" The girls laughed, and Feliks ruffled his hair. "We were just joking, Kiks. It's totally fine. But, like, anyway, does anyone else have awes- ugh, not awesome, that makes me think of Gilbert- I mean great news to share?" Angélique waved her hand. "Yeah, Angie?" The Polish boy asked as the others turned towards her. The girl from Seychelles beamed. "Alfred and Matthew!" She grabbed a camera, showing a picture of Alfred ruffling his friend's hair as they laughed. "This photograph was taken yesterday inside the North American dorms!" When the others stared, she explained: "I was hanging from a tree." Lili raised her hand timidly. "So that means they're, ah, …." "YES!" Angélique burst out happily, as the room squealed once more.

After they had calmed down again, Eliza raised her hand solemnly. The others turned to her. She paused to survey her audience. Bella's green eyes sparkled, while Lili's were wide; Angélique was fixing her with great interest. Feliks regarded her with mild curiosity (damn that all-knowing Pole), Mei Mei grinned and Kiku tried his best to look collected.

"Fellow Y.A.O.I members! There is a very powerful tool in this school! A tool that, if used correctly, would lead this club to greatness! Alas, it is in the hands of an enemy...Gilbert Beilschmidt." The club groaned, partly because some (like Feliks) disliked him too, partly because

this meant Eliza would refuse to cooperate. Before they could comment, however, she continued: "However! I have managed, by no little skill of persuasion, to obtain part of the valuable information this tool contains! This tool is...a list predicting correctly the yaoi pairings of our school."

There was a collective gasp. "You are sure of the authenticity of this list, Eliza?" Kiku asked cautiously. She nodded solemnly. "What pairings were there?!" Bella demanded. Eliza turned to the board and quickly noted them down.

When she was done, she stood back.

LietPol

DenNor

AmeCan

SpaRom

GerIta

NedBel

SuFin

For the following five minutes, complete chaos reigned in the room, with shouts of "YES! YES!" and "OH MY HIDEKAZ!" and "KAWAII!" issuing loudly from the club members.

When a relatively calm mood settled, they started picking through the pairings in an eerily businesslike way.

"So we knew for SpaRom- that's a yes."

"Mm, and that means AmeCan is correct too."

"DenNor is affirmative! We have photographic proof."

"Operation GerIta is pending; but this seems to indicate its success."

"Same for SuFin."

The club jotted down notes quickly, as Feliks grinned and stated: "I totally called it."

Eliza huffed in annoyance: "Yes, Feliks, we know you have a knack for guessing pairs, but seeing as you refuse to share it..." The blonde merely flicked his hair, stating: "It wouldn't be, like, fair if everyone could just tell who and who will end up together."

"On that subject...What, pray tell, is LietPol, lieverd?" Bella asked, eyes twinkling.

"Pretty much, like, the same thing as NedBel, skarbie." Feliks replied sarkily.

The others stared. "You mean...Non...C'est pas possible!" Angélique said, dumbfounded.

"Ich glaube that it means that sie sind zusammen!" Lili burst out, confusing languages in her excitement. Mei Mei stared at her, then Bella, then Feliks, then said blankly: "I've just noticed that we have three blondes with green eyes in this club. Guàiyì..."

Kiku eyed her warily as she stared into space. "Mei?"

Elizaveta, however, ignored the Asian pair as she stared at her two best friends. "Seriously?! You didn't even tell me?!" They squirmed guiltily under her glare, feeling a sudden sympathy for Gilbert.
The Hungarian deflated, dropping the menacing air. "You guys suck..." She muttered half-heartedly as they beamed, relieved. "Hey, siostra, don't be like that! I just, like, didn't have the time to tell anyone!" Feliks stated, grabbing her hands. "Ja, moi aussi...I haven't told anyone either." Belle said, joining them.

Eliza brightened: "That's great news anyway! You guys are adorable! And don't worry, I've always liked LietPol much more than RusLiet anyway...Plus SpaNed probably would end with Antonio's death." They laughed, then Kiku raised a hand.

They turned towards him. "Yes, Kiku?"

"I was just thinking...We now have many new projects surrounding the new pairs, and our usual inside informant is absent. This is quite problematic."

There was a murmur of agreement. "C'est vrai,", Angélique told Bella thoughtfully, "Francis n'est plus là...On va avoir du travail!" Bella nodded. "Beaucoup de travail!"

"Po szklanie i na rusztowanie!" Feliks exclaimed, making the others stare.

"What? I thought we were having "let's speak something so no one understands us" day!"

Bella and Angélique laughed sheepishly.

"We were just saying that now Francis is gone, we have way more work." The brunet explained.

"We should manage, though. We've had bigger problems." Mei Mei said, snapping out of her reverie.

"Hai, but it is for Elizaveta I am worrying. She has the club, the news and the prom to worry about."Kiku said, brown eyes worried. "That's true! You can't organize us, you article and the entire party on your own!" Lili exclaimed.

"Kicsire nem adunk!" Eliza said, waving them away. "It doesn't matter. I'll be fine." Feliks shook his head. "Nope! We refuse to help out unless you get someone to split the work with."

Eliza opened her mouth to argue, then saw the glares of the others.

"I can't ask them for the club or the article because they'd find that weird." She stated, slightly shaken. "Ask for help for the prom, then!" Bella quipped.

"W-well who would I ask to help anyway?! I can't ask one of you, so that leaves, like, no one!" She exclaimed defensively. "What about Roderich?" Mei Mei suggested. The others nodded.

"He's very serious. He could help with the prom." Lili agreed shyly.

Elizaveta looked down. "Yeah..."

There was a moment of silence, then Feliks asked: "OK. Spit it out. What happened?"

The brunet blinked, fidgeted, then admitted: "We had a...fight. I told him I couldn't go to prom with him, and when I couldn't tell him why, he took it badly and...left." Dammit, Eliza thought, she hadn't meant to sound so depressed about it. "Wait, why couldn't you tell him?" Mei Mei asked, confused.

"You know how I said I had to use mass techniques of persuasion to obtain the list?" Eliza asked cautiously. The others paused, put two and two together... "Ah." Angélique said.

"Ah, indeed." Eliza said scornfully.

"I'm guessing part of the deal was making you swear secrecy?" Bella asked shrewdly.

Eliza nodded. "I can't tell you any more, though.'Cause..."

"Gilbert." Feliks stated. She sighed. "Yes, exactly." The blonde's eyes widened suddenly, as a thought flashed through his head.

"Gilbert." Feliks said slowly. Eliza looked up. "Yeah. I know. You just said-"

"GILBERT!"

"Yes, OK! I GET IT!"

"No, I meant.." Feliks turned to the others. "GILBERT." Comprehension dawned on their faces.

"Gilbert.." Kiku muttered thoughtfully. "Gilbert?" Mei Mei wondered. "Gilbert...Of course." Bella mused. "Gilbert, oui." Angélique whispered. "Yes, Gilbert!" Lili said.

"OK, what the hell is up with Beilschmidt?!" The fiery brunet demanded, equally confused and annoyed.

"You could ask him to help!" Bella exclaimed.

"Are you insane?!" Elizaveta shrieked. "How could you even think that's a good idea?! Feliks!"

Feliks shrugged. "He's, like, better than nothing. It's not like you have that many people who can help outside of the club."

"B-but he's useless!" Eliza stuttered, not understanding how her club had turned against her so fast.

"He's an arrogant douche who's loud, obnoxious, and incapable of doing anything!"

Noises of agreement sounded throughout the room.

Then a timid voice spoke up.

"Well, big brother Gilbert might be a bit arrogant, and reckless, and lazy at times, but you have to remember that he's a soldier at heart. And soldiers are capable of a lot of things, including hard work and discipline. Besides, he's a military genius. He'll definitely be a valuable asset if he puts his mind to it. Not to mention that he's actually pretty nice."

"Woah, Lili." Angélique said, staring at the small girl from Liechtenstein. "I don't think I've ever heard you talk so much."

She flushed. "Ah, it's just that I feel bad for him. He's very lonely, you know. And he's quite insecure at times. I just think we should remember that he's a great nation in many ways, not only a bad one."

The club sat, feeling a bit ashamed of themselves.

"It's true. Gilbert is a good friend of mine." Kiku stated, bowing his head. "He's actually a pretty cool guy." Bella admitted, looking guilty. "Ag, en broer en hij- I mean, he and Lars and I are on suprisingly good terms." "Oui, and I know that even if he and Francis fight a lot, they do appreciate each other sincerely." Angélique said, as Mei Mei nodded.

"I'd rather fight him than Ivan." Feliks stated simply. "Dwóch zwaśnionych od wieków narodów, polskiego i pruskiego."

Lili smiled gently, then looked at Elizaveta, who grumbled, then sighed. "Fine. I'll ask him. You can drop the praise now."

Her friends grinned. Success!

They started packing as the bell was about to ring, happily anticipating their many new tasks-except for Eliza, of course.

Feliks snickered at her expression as she headed to the door.

"I hate you so much," Eliza announced to the Pole, who merely replied: "Kto się czubi, ten się lubi!"

Then he ran off as she headed drearily towards the German dorms.

At that exact moment, Gilbert was getting punched in the face.
