A/N: Yeah I've worked on this for three months...feels great. Writers block sucks so bad. THis has not been edited, I just barfed out words that fit together for you guys and hopefully it'll work. I can't promise any more regular updates. I'll be gone for most the summer either traveling or being in surgery to get rid of the cancer finally!

I know a lot of you have been worried and probably a bit annoyed at me that I haven't been talking or writing to you. But please understand I cannot be talking 24/7 anymore and I am sorry about that. You all know I care about you like family but you have to understand that this has probably been the hardest year of my life and as it's dwindling down, things are becoming more stressful and frightening.

I am also taking a verterinary science class in a couple months as a seventh period. So clearly I don't have all the time in the world, to chat for hours and write, and do 7 periods of homework AND find a job AND keep up my farm up AND train people how to ride horses ANND hunt for next winter. I can't fit it all in and I'm sorry.

So I want to make this clear in the nicest, least offensive way: I will contact you when I am ready to talk. If you contact me and I don't answer. I don't have time, or I'm busy and I forget or I am just really not in the mood. It sounds horrible but there's no other way to put this. I will contact you when I'm ready instead of everyone contacting me all at once constantly, wondering where I've gone and if I've died.

Again I'm sorry, but I need to get it out. Please just back off a little, please I am begging you guys right now. I plan on either finishing this book or this little book series and just concluding my other fics before leaving fanfiction all together. The only reason I'm still here is for you guys as my friends. SO please respect my decisions ok?

Have a good read and please Review. Please people have like stopped reviewing and it makes me think that you guys have lost interest and I'm just writing this book for the sole reason to finish it. So show me you still want it. And I'll still write it!

A few weeks after finding himself alive, Zim was up and zipping through training like it was nothing. All the written exams he felt he could do in his sleep, they were so simple. One of the prompts was, 'explain the first three steps for a stealth mission'. How could that possibly get any easier?

Physical training was slightly harder because of his physical health and though it was gaining and he was getting stronger and stronger every day, he still struggled. He mainly struggled with running, seeing as his lungs weren't very strong and he constantly pushed himself too hard and too far. By the end of a simple 10k run he'd have to be in the infirmary for a night or two. A few scars were left from the coil trap he was stuck in, but they were hardly visible anymore.

At the moment he was heading toward the infirmary, having been called in for another daily checkup. Normally he hated these checkups but lately Laya's been extremely persistent about them and even warned him that if he didn't come in then he wouldn't be allowed to help take down the Vortarians. That fact was the only thing that bothered him and made him come to these ridiculous checkups. He wanted revenge and he wanted it bad. He didn't care if it came back to haunt him later, he wanted to see Moon hurt, he wanted to see every jackass on that vessel squirm under his foot.

Zim jumped a little when a door was pushed open in front of him, nearly smacking him as it clanked against the wall. Another retired invader came out, not looking too happy. This invader was bigger than Zim and clearly looked more aggressive so he had no intentions of asking what was wrong with him. He merely waited as the larger male walked by, muttering curses about 'selection day'.

'Selection day?' Zim thought, 'I thought those were next week, when the Tallest were confident enough to pick out soldiers for the operation…' He continued to ponder this until the familiar face of Laya poked out, startling him again.

"Hi Zim, glad to see you actually came for once." She greeted, pushing the door aside for him to step in.

"Not like I had much of a choice," Zim grumbled back.

"Don't get started on that, you know why you need these checkups, so don't give me any sass today. Now sit down and maybe if you're a good patient I'll give you a lollipop when you're done."

"Tempting," Zim scoffed, sitting down as she asked and huffing.

"How does your arm feel?" She started, grabbing a clip board and a pen.

"Fine."

"The truth?"

"Sore."

"That's what I thought," She smirked, jotting it down on the clipboard before reaching over and grabbing his previously wounded arm. Zim rolled his eyes and rested his chin in his other hands palm, looking away whilst she checked it over. It all felt fine until she squeezed it, which caused a striking pain to shoot all the way up to his shoulder. He yelped in pain and yanked his arm away, giving her a shocked look.

"What was that for!?"

"I didn't do anything, I merely squeezed your arm," Laya sighed, jotting down her findings again while shaking her head back and forth slowly. "Let's move on, how does your chest feel and look?"

"It feels fine and last I checked, it looks just fine too."

"Mmmhmm, then let's see it, if you're so sure of yourself." Zim glared at her before turning his face away and grunting. "Come Mr. Macho if you are so sure that everything is fine, let's see it."

"I don't want to take my shirt off," Zim snipped angrily.

"Why? Because you know I'm right?" Laya smirked. He just glared at her again before slowly reaching down to pull off his black and red stripped shirt. There were dark bruises lining parts of his chest and he still looked a little too skinny, but it was getting better. "That's what I thought. You shouldn't be so stubborn Zim, it won't get you far." She said calmly, reaching over and pressing around the bruised flesh. Zim flinched every time she pressed in, but he said nothing and tried to look completely calm so she wouldn't tell him he couldn't train more. "Well, you're getting better, but clearly you are still sensitive around your majorly wounded areas."

"I work fine with them, it's really not that bad when your adrenaline is pumping." He lied, crossing his arms and leaning back in the seat.

"Adrenaline doesn't last forever and if you keep going like this you will have permanent damage that will affect your whole life style. You need to stop trying to prove to everyone that you're the best. No one cares here Zim. What you need to do is rest."

"I told you I feel fine. I can still work and I will be a part of the team that infiltrates Moon's base. I have an old score to settle."

Laya groaned and rubbed her temples before over viewing her notes, "Zim, I don't think you are physically well enough to be a part of selection day today. I am not going to grant you permission to continue."

"What!?" He snapped, standing up quickly, "You have to grant me permission! I didn't ask to be a part of this, but I am. I could do it myself if I was on my own, but you people won't let me leave! I will be a part of that team Laya! I have to be!"

"No, you don't." She said simply, "And you won't be. I just won't have it."

"Why? Because I won't cooperate? Because I don't play well in teams? I can do it! I am physically able to do it; I'll just wear more armor! Give me one other good reason why I shouldn't protect my race!"

"Zim," She snapped, turning around and glaring up at him, seeing as she was much shorter than he, "I am not granting you permission to continue because I will not stand her and watch as you throw your life away to settle some stupid score! You aren't like the rest, you have a heart and you are willing to put someone else first. The other soldiers aren't. They'd leave you to die in three seconds flat. You will die if I grant you permission so for the final time I am saying NO."

"Why do you care, it's my life so I can choose what I will do with it!"

"Not when it's a stupid decision, I won't let you go down like the rest. You are fit for defense and rescue then offense." She said angrily, slamming her clip board down on the table, "Not to mention you'll just get in the way. You don't care about what happens to your race. You care about settling this stupid score. Your own motives are not cooperative with the mission; therefore you may not be a part of it."

"If you won't grant me permission, I will go find another doctor who will." Zim stated coldly, grabbing his shirt and slipping it back on.

"I will put it on your record for all other doctors to see if you want to be that way," She growled back, clenching her fists, "Don't you get it! I am trying to save your life!"

"I don't have a life! If this is what you call living then I might as well be dead anyways! My family is on that vessel, my pregnant best friend is also on there and you have the heart to tell me I can't go help them?"

"I don't believe that's what you'd be boarding that vessel to do," Laya whispered back, "My decision is final, your checkup is over, now leave. Come back in two days for another one."

Zim stood there silently for a minute before clenching his fists and exiting the room. He walked to where he was assigned to stay before entering the room and punching a wall as hard as he could, "She has no right," He hissed to himself, reaching up to yank his antenna. "I am perfectly fine, I can be a part of that team and she can't do anything about it."

For a few seconds he just thought; he could go through with this, most likely die and piss off Laya but if he didn't…he'd have given up on his family, he would've given up on himself. With that thought, he'd made up his mind and was quickly grabbing the door handle to exit the room.

He sprinted down a long hall way, shoving people aside carelessly as he heard over the intercom that the soldiers were being picked now. Anyone who was there was automatically assumed to have passed inspection. So Zim could technically get away with it.

There were guards standing outside the door, checking passing inspection tickets to make sure they were only letting valuable soldiers' in. 'Shit,' Zim thought to himself. He glanced around at the line filing in before spotting someone who had carelessly stuck their ticket in their back pocket.

A malicious smile grew on Zim's face as he slipped forward and 'accidentally' bumped into the man, swiping his ticket swiftly so he couldn't feel it, "Sorry man," Zim said, though his smile didn't falter.

"It's fine," The other male said slowly, giving Zim a look before walking away toward the entrance.

"This better work," He murmured to himself before slipping ahead into the line and handing a guard his ticket.

"Daemon?" The guard asked loudly.

"That's me," Zim lied, faking a smile and a salute. The guard gave him a suspicious look before shrugging and handing the ticket back to him, letting him by without complication. "Dumbass," Zim hissed, continuing on through the small mass of Irkens to get toward the front. Tallest Red was there and so was purple, but he looked different. There was a metal cast looking thing over his shoulder and he did not look pleased. "What's his problem?" Zim muttered, not expecting an answer.

"He was shot in the shoulder by a young doctor that refused the military, even under the tallest's request," The taller male standing next to him answered. Zim looked up at the dark orange eyed guy and gave him half a smile.

"Serves him right, but why purple?"

"He was apprehended before he could get another shot in," The man answered again, "the name's Ace." He stuck out his hand to be shaken but Zim merely brushed it away, crossing his arms and rolling his eyes. He wasn't here to make pals; he was here for a mission.

"Zim."

"Ah, I've heard about you. Not much of a team player?"

"Not. At. All." Zim growled back, "And I suppose you are?"

"Well I can't say I'm bad at it, but I too prefer to work alone. Where'd they find you?" Ace asked calmly as the tallest started hushing the crowd.

"In a trap, half dead. You?"

"Not nearly as exciting, I was found stuck on top of a building, getting ready to jump. We're you alone?"

"As usual yes." Zim said back, starting to get irritated with Ace's persistence in talking.

"Not as easy as it looks huh?"

"No, it's really not. It's effective because I only have to watch my own back but after a while I realized that I would never only have to watch myself."

"Someone special then?"

"Once, not anymore," He answered slowly, "But I have a family and it's not as easy to let go as I thought."

"You're lucky that you got to keep your family."

"You lost yours then?"

"Not by walkers, by Vortarians. They were taken as slaves. My daughter died quick, haven't heard from my husband though." Zim was silent at that, trying to process what he just said.

"How did you-."

"Adoption." Ace answered. Zim nodded thoughtfully for a moment before clearing his throat and looking forward once more.

"I hope he's ok."

"Me too," Ace answered softly, "What mission are you looking to join?"

"The infiltration of the main operation. I have a few scores I need to settle with the head of this operation." Zim growled while clenching his fists.

"I wanted to, but the doctor said I wasn't physically capable of doing so, so I'm going rescue. Maybe I can free some slaves and find my husband while I'm at it."

"Then I wish you luck, what's his name?"

"He likes to go by phoenix. He was taken right at the beginning of all this, our daughter was taken later."

"So he doesn't know?"

"No he doesn't, that's for the best right now. If he believes she's still alive then he has a reason to live." Ace sighed sadly, "That is…IF he's still alive."

Zim was going to respond when someone grabbed his arm very gently. Jumping in surprise, he snapped his face over to see a Navy blue eyed woman holding his arm. He jerked his arm away awkwardly and looked at her with an annoyed look, "Can I help you?"

"Are you going into rescue?" She asked calmly, looking at him hopefully.

"No why should I?" Zim said simply. Ace looked at him with a slightly angry look. He was being kind of a jack ass to the woman and all she did was ask a simple question.

"I am going into the rescue opp. Why may I ask?" Ace interrupted, catching the woman's attention and making her antenna perk. She walked over to him and grabbed his hands, staring into his eyes for a moment before actually speaking.

"My name is Luna, my son…he was taken by those horrible people. Please, please if you see him, save him. They won't let me fight; no women can fight this war by decree of the Tallest. I would do it myself but…I can't. This is him," She slowly slipped a picture into Ace's hand and took a step back.

Zim being slightly curious about just who this person was glanced over and nearly choked on his own air, "That's Sol!" Ace looked over at him questioningly, "I know him, he's a friend."

"Solus is his full name," Luna muttered, "He does not know I exist. But please…please keep him safe. He is my only child and I promised his father that I'd make sure he was safe, always."

"Then…Why doesn't he know you exist?" Ace asked gently, seeing that this was a sensitive topic for Luna.

"I took him to an orphanage; he was very young so he doesn't know who I am." She said quickly, looking away, "Don't tell him I sent you."

"But he should know-."

"No," She interrupted again, giving him a bit more of a stern look this time, "He mustn't know who I am."

There was silence for a moment before Ace nodded and pushed Sol's picture into his pocket, "If I find him, I'll save him."

"Thank you," She murmured; grabbing his hands and kissing his knuckles, "Thank you so much."

Narrator's POV.2

Tabitha hadn't been able to sleep all night. At first she assumed it was because she was nervous, sleeping in the same bed as her rapist but now, she was feeling uncomfortable and irritated.

For about the hundredth time, she rolled over only to feel more pain and roll back over. After about the tenth time Tabitha rolled, Jax unconsciously got annoyed with her and rolled onto his side facing away from her, grunting as he did so.

'You know, this damn baby has kicked me before and pissed me off but this is insane!' she thought angrily, struggling to sit up and toss the blanket off herself. She thought for a minute before smacking Jax in the leg, "Jax, get up. Unlock Sol's door, I need to see him."

Jax just groaned and ignored her leaving her sitting there alone and in pain. "Men," She growled, standing up slowly before bending over slightly. A huge wave of pain washed over her and she gasped and snapped her hands over her stomach, "That's not right."

She became slightly startled at this and tried to calm herself down while clenching her teeth. The pain was starting to come in intervals now and it was getting extremely intense, almost too intense to handle.

Panting, she called out weakly to Sol whom was fast asleep in the room right across from the one she was currently in. "Sol," She tried again, but slightly louder.

Slowly, she stumbled over to his door and dropped to her knees in front of it, "SOL!" Tab was shouting now, smacking Sol's door and lying on her side, trying not to focus on the pain.

In the room over, Sol woke up at the first knock and sat up; catching his bearings before hearing Tabitha hit the door again. He was on his feet in seconds, rushing through the dark over to the door and trying to open it, only to remember it was locked, "Tabitha? Tabitha can you hear me?"

"Yes," She wailed back, "Please help me, I don't know what's wrong!"

"Calm down, what exactly is going on?" Sol tried, bending down and trying to see under the door to see if he could at least scan the situation. Sadly it was dark on the other side too, so there was hardly anything he could see.

"I-I don't know. Every few seconds there's this agonizing pain," She panted, putting her hand on the door and lying down on her back.

"Ok, so you're having contractions," Sol muttered to himself before turning his attention back to the door, "Tabitha, you're going into labor. I need you to take your pants off if you're wearing any and any underwear. It's going to hurt and I need to see if you're fully dilated. Do you have the key to the room?"

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK!?" She screamed, "And I am NOT taking off my pants if you are coming out here! Screw that!"

"Oh for Irk's sake Tabitha I have seen more vaginas in my life then you have Irkens! It's just another body part, it's not like I'm going to be rating you from one to ten!"

"That's a lot of cha cha's…" Tabitha growled, trying to take deep breaths as another contraction hit her.

Sol just groaned before trying to get through the door again, "Did you take your pants off? I'm going to try to get through the door so that I can help you."

"I got my pants down at least," Tabitha groaned in agony, "But I can't feel my legs!"

"Just back away from the door Tabitha," Sol growled irritably. He quickly backed up before running and slamming himself against the heavily locked door, hissing in pain when his injuries started pulsing. The door didn't even budge. "I'll try again, keep breathing!" He called out, slowly backing up and trying again.

"What is going on!?" He heard a male voice shout.

"Tabitha…Tabitha is that Jax? Do NOT let him touch you; the dumbass doesn't know what he is doing!" Sol snapped, working harder to break the door down.

On the other side of the door, Jax sat up to see Tabitha on the ground, with no pants on, crying and begging for help from Sol, whom was currently slamming against the door. He was up within seconds, still not fully comprehending the situation.

"Sol," Tabitha cried out, "You listen to me. Vex taught me how to break down a door. You need to either kick it down with your leg or use your pack and just break the fucking door handle!"

"Ok, I'll try breaking the door handle," He called out, thinking about how his leg was still infected and in agony. Burg had disabled his PAK as soon as he became his slave for safety reasons, but all he did was turn the top circle and press it in. Sol would just have to press it in again and turn it back to make his PAK available to him again.

Jax quickly got over to Tabitha too panicked to think straight. She was bleeding, crying and having a hard time breathing. He wasn't expecting birth to be this…dramatic for him. He heard noises coming from Sol's room but ignored them as Tabitha tried to shove him away. "You get away from me! You put this mother fucker in me!"

"Well I wasn't exactly alone when I helped put it in you!" Jax snapped back, throwing his arms in the air and glaring at her.

"Just go away!" She shouted back, smacking her head back into the ground and screaming loudly.

Jax heard the bang of Sol's door handle hitting the ground and looked over to see the other male pushing through the locked door and glaring at him. "Get away from her!" Sol spat, rushing over in front of Tabitha and shoving Jax away.

He seemed slightly shocked to be shoved away and clearly didn't take it well, "Away!? I am here to help you idiot!"

"She doesn't need your help!" Sol snarled, narrowing his eyes and snapping his antenna down ferociously, "She needs mine!"

"Just because you're a doctor doesn't mean you know everything! I can do this just fine without you!"

"Is that why you fought for me to be here!?" Sol sneered, kneeling down in front of Tabitha and quietly talking to her and Jax fumed in hatred.

"I don't need you or your help! Get back to your room, SLAVE!" Jax barked, taking a couple steps forward whilst also making Sol 'Bristle' in aggression.

Sol reached over and grabbed the closest thing he could find before chucking it at Jax and hitting him square in the face. It turned out to be part of a lamp that shattered upon impacting Jax and knocking him out almost instantly. He fell backwards like a lump and just laid there as Sol glared at his body, baring his canines, "Fuck you peasant." He hissed under his breath, turning to Tabitha and quickly putting his hands on her knees. "You have to open up more so it'll be easier to get the baby out."

Tabitha was looking like hell at this point. She was pale, sweaty and panting while crying out every time a contraction hit. It felt a tiny, TINY bit better as she followed Sol's instructions and worked on breathing as Sol was guiding her to do.

After a few minutes of breathing she stopped and felt her whole face heat up in embarrassment when she felt water drop out of her cha cha. "That was your water and here's where the fun starts."

"What the hell does that mean!" She screeched at him, digging her claws into the ground and still trying to breathe as her heart pounded in her chest.

"Well," Sol started, looking for complete dilatation, "You are fully dilated so the next contractions when I say push, push as hard as you absolutely can and we'll get your baby out."

"You make it sound easy!" She hissed through her clenched teeth.

"First child is never easy," Sol muttered, quickly pulling off his shirt so he could catch the baby when it finally did come out. "Get ready," He said slowly, watching as her body trembled in agony.

He waited until she had a major contraction before saying, "Push, push now! As hard as you can!"

Tabitha, not caring about what Sol said but wanting to rip someone's antenna out from the pain; screamed and tried to push, but didn't get the baby out very much. "That was good, but next time harder, sit up if you have too." Sol instructed, starting to spot an antenna, "I can see the babies antenna so it's wanting out now ok?"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP AND RIP THE DAMN THING OUT!" Tab snarled feeling hot, warm tears flowing out from all the agony she was in, "OR KILL ME!"

"Just wait for the next contraction, it shouldn't be long now," Sol cooed, squeezing her knees to try and comfort her. He waited for the next contraction before instructing her to push again. She sat up this time to do so and pushed hard enough to get the baby's head and shoulders out.

"That was the hardest part Tabitha, give me one more good push and this baby is out," Sol encouraged, getting his shirt ready as the last contraction hit.

Tabitha shouted one final time in agony before feeling the obstruction; leave. After that she took a huge sigh of relief and collapsed back down onto the ground, feeling so much better than she did a few mere seconds ago.

After what felt like hours, Sol got the baby to breathe and cry, "It's a girl Tabitha, you just birthed a healthy, baby girl."

She glanced over at him slightly as he beamed excitedly at her, "Then her name is Brooke." Tab sighed, wanting to pass out now.

"Do you wanna see her?" Tabitha nodded as Sol scooted over and helped her sit up, "Here," He handed the little tiny bundle to her and to Tabitha's amazement, Brooke was tiny, literally tiny. She'd seen human children before but they were much bigger than this.

"Why was she so hard to get out?"

"All mothers struggle with their first smeet, and Irkens have been bred so much through cloning that natural birth is the thing of the past and is very hard for any female Irken to do now. You're built for agility and speed; to be a soldier to put it bluntly. Not for being a mother." Sol explained, seating himself next to her and staring at Brooke. "She is small for an Irken. But all Smeets start out absolutely tiny. You'll have to be extremely careful with her now, one wrong move and she could very well die."

"That's encouraging," Tabitha growled, smiling slightly upon seeing Brooke open her eyes. They were colored an extremely dark amber color with black rings around her pupils. Her skin tone was more like Jax's as were her antenna, just a bit more curved. But everything else resembled Tabitha, including the child's tiny smile. "She gorgeous."

"I agree. Just keep her away from everyone but yourself."

"Why?"

"She has no PAK, and so far hasn't needed one, she's breathing fine on her own and seems to be functioning well. But anyone who realizes that will just repeat what happened to Jax, to her."

"No one, touches my child," She growled lowly, "She is mine."

"So let's keep it that way. For now, you need to feed her, I am going to clean you up then pick you up and set you on the bed. The ground is no place for a new mother." Tab groaned before staring at Brooke again.

"I wish everyone else were here to see her. Especially Zim, he'd cry like a smeet."

"I know, I miss them too. I can't imagine what you've had to deal with here," He murmured, patting her back.

"It's not been as bad as you think. I mean it still sucks, but surprisingly, I'm very well protected here and cared for. But that was of course because of Brooke here. So…I don't know what's going to happen next." She shrugged.

"Lucky, my first day, I nearly got my leg ripped off and my friend took the blow for me and broke his back. I'm still working to get him back together."

"Do you have to do things you've never wanted to do?" Tabitha asked quietly, stroking Brooke's antenna as the tiny bundle curled up on Tabitha's chest.

"No, Phoenix takes all of that for me. Burg wanted to kill me because I wouldn't do that stuff after Phoenix broke his back. But Jax actually spared me from public execution. If he hadn't brought me here for you, I'd be dead right now."

"He's strange that way. He still cares but in a not caring way. I just miss the way he used to be, I don't know who this man is anymore."

"I never met him when he was Mr. Nice guy so I won't be able to sympathize with you here. But enough chit chat, I need to clean you which does involve me touching, I'll do it quick and make it the least embarrassing that it can be. Then we'll get Brooke fed and you some rest. You've earned it."

"Thanks Sol, I really appreciate it." She smiled, ready to sleep before anything else.

Sol quickly got the cleaning over with before lifting Tabitha up and carrying her over to the bed. He was about to start explaining how her milk ducts worked until both of them heard, "TEB WITH SMEET NOW!" Both their heads snapped over to see Jax, looking ecstatically over at her and the child.

"What the actual fuck?" Sol growled, lowering his antenna again.

"It's ok, this is Jex, he's like an alternate personality, it's strange but it works. He's nice. Just don't get in his way or piss him off."

"Well then we have a problem." Sol grumbled.

"Why?"

"Because getting the in the way and pissing someone off it my specialty…"

A/N: XD I love Sol and Tabitha: CHA CHA'S. SO Brooke is Born, I'll probably draw her eyes and post them on Deviant art if you are curious for her appearance!
