Sol bristled slightly when Jex came gallivanting over, springing up into the bed and grabbing Brooke by the scruff in his jaws. "HEY!" Sol snarled, about to lunge forward when surprisingly Tabitha stopped him.

"Don't. He won't hurt Brooke, I promise." Sol didn't believe her, but he turned back to Jex to see him sprint over to a corner with some blankets and gently set her down. He settled down next to her before lolling his tongue out to clean her frantically, making her give an angry grunt.

She kicked out and snipped at Jex making him purr playfully and nuzzle her stomach. "What is he doing?" Sol muttered, feeling the need to take the baby away from the mad man.

"Getting to know her, it's something new to him and it is his kid, so he has every right to want to be a part of her life," Sol just grumbled under his breath and crossed his arms, "you'll see." He rolled his eyes at that and sat back to watch the show, though he was still rigid with the need to save the child.

At that very moment, Jex surprised Sol. The deranged male reached up and bit hard into his swollen antenna. He made no noise of pain or discomfort as he lowered the now milk dripping antenna down so that Brooke could have her first meal, "H-how did he know how to do that!?"

Tabitha just shrugged and relaxed into the bed, trying not to focus on the soreness of her whole lower body. Jex on the other hand was working hard at making sure Brooke had to work for food and couldn't just get it for free. He moved his antenna very slowly up and down making her have to move and reach up higher to grasp the swollen stalk and feed more.

"He's teasing the smeet!" Sol hissed angrily, "I'm going to get Brooke back."

"Sol, if you do that, you will get attacked."

"I've been attacked by far worse things than a lunatic," He growled back, brushing himself off and walking over slowly toward Jex and Brooke. Jex, without looking at him, started growling very aggressively while he stopped doing anything, just staring at Brooke.

Sol halted for a second before realizing that it was just another dumb Irken and moving in to grab the child. Jex bared his teeth this time, audibly growling to try and warn Sol away from his smeet. Again, Sol had no intention of listening to the warnings.

He leaned forward again and grabbed Brooke's arm which was mistake number one. However the mistake became clear when Brooke angrily cried out and Jex snarled aggressively. Within in seconds, Sol was out of breath and on his back. Jex was snapping at him before bounding away with Brooke in his jaws. "THAT BITCH BIT ME!" Sol shrieked, staring at his bleeding arm in horror.

"I tried to warn you, and he did too," Tabitha sighed, watching as Jex paced the room, looking for a safe spot to lie down again. He spotted Tabitha and whined, bounding over and jumping up onto the bed. He set Brooke down on Tabitha's stomach before circling her and settling down with his head on her shoulder.

"What the hell, that little son of a bitch!" Sol snapped, standing up and dramatically holding his arm out, "What if he infected me!"

Jex hissed venomously at Sol; baring his canines and growling very loudly as Sol quickly went to work at cleaning his newly earned wound. "Freaky ass psychopath," He grumbled under his breath, slowly backing into his room to wash the wound in his provided sink. "How long will he be like this?"

"I don't know," Tabitha said honestly, "You hit him in the head, it might've triggered this side of him to come out for good, or maybe just until the other side heals." Jex whined playfully and nudged his face against hers, "Yes I realize you understand that we're talking about you." She grumbled.

"Maybe I should hit him again…" Sol pondered aloud. He came out with a dry towel pressed firmly against the wounds, glaring hatefully at Jex whom just glared back in return.

"Good luck getting close enough," Tabitha yawned, watching carefully as Brooke looked up at them and perked her antenna.

Jex was fascinated by this and decided it was time to play a game with her. He hid his eyes behind his hands and quickly opened them, blowing an air kiss at Brooke whom just turned her head in confusion. He did this a couple more times until Brooke started trying to copy him. Smeets, unlike human children grew, adapted and learned much faster. Within the first couple weeks she'd probably learn how to walk. Talking would take a tad bit longer but Irkens were still amazingly smart beings straight from birth. The copycat effect Jex was trying with Brooke only proved this. She was learning just from him doing and was soon finding the task to be easy if not fun.

Jex was excited to see his smeet adapting to him so quickly and squealed with affection, leaning forward to nuzzle her stomach all over and blow raspberry's on her tiny hands. "Well I must admit, he does handle her very well." Sol grumbled, leaning against the wall as Jex played with Brooke, continuing to playfully nudge and blow on her stomach.

Brooke responded wonderfully and was extremely happy that someone was paying some hardcore attention to her. She'd been fed, cared for and played with, so by now she was starting to tucker out. Each adult in the room noticed this and quieted down.

Jex retreated his playful attacks to pull blankets up over his ladies and lay down next to them, acting almost like a guard dog and glaring down Sol with a burning hatred. Tabitha shrugged and patted his bum, making an embarrassed whine leave Jex's throat. He affectionately glared over his shoulder at her, making her stick her tongue out at him in response.

He just rolled his eyes and groaned before settling again; leaving Tabitha and Brooke to get some rest and regain their energy. Sol stared at him for a moment before taking a step closer, to test the boundary. Jex's eyes snapped open and were instantly narrowed, glaring in Sol's direction as a very deep growl emanated from his throat.

"Right…" Sol grumbled, "I don't want any of your weird ass-ness so Tabitha you know where to find me, call me if you need anything." Tabitha grunted to show she heard before drifting back into a calm sleep. Sol did the same, just in his room and he made sure he had a frying pan from the kitchen under his pillow that he could use to beat the shit out of Jex if he tried to come in and attack him out of the blue.

After about three hours, Tabitha woke up upon hearing Brooke cry. She felt the bed shift and just barely opened her eyes to see Jax grab Brooke by the scruff and lye on his back, dragging her with him and lowering an antenna to feed her.

To be honest, Tabitha was surprised at just how good Jax was with their child. She figured he'd be gentle but this was insane. He was acting like he alone was raising the child. Of course it might've just been because Brooke was a newborn and was something he'd never dealt with before. Or maybe he just really adored his daughter and wanted to be with her every second, keeping her safe and caring for her. There was also the thought that maybe he was giving Tabitha the night off. The night after birth should be left to the moms to recover and rest before the real challenge sets in.

Whatever the reason, Jax let Tabitha sleep the whole night through. Every time Brooke woke up crying, it was Jax tending to her instant needs, not Tabitha. Hell the only thing that even woke Tabitha up after the first time was the bed shifting when Jax moved over her to tend to Brooke. It was an amazing feeling to her. She however didn't know just how long this amazing feeling would last.

When would douche bag Jax come back? Would he ever? And if he did, what would be her fate now? How would he treat her differently? Would he still cherish their child as Jex was?

These were too many questions to be asking the first night after the baby was born.

However, Tabitha wasn't the only one living through a mental battle.

Jex was fidgeting all night long. He could feel the others fighting within him somewhere and was worried he'd be pulled away for good. He didn't want to leave, not again, not ever. Teb and Brooke were now his life and his new mission. Nothing else mattered to him.

He was tired now, and didn't feel good. But Brooke was safe and happy which was a relief. Even though his own head was killing him. He even at one point, got up and off the bed and for about an hour continuously walked and smacked his head against the wall before backing up a few paces and going at it again. For the nine thousandth time, he gently rammed his head into the wall and rubbed his antenna all over, trying to keep pressure on his antenna to relieve the pain of his pounding head. But still nothing worked. Pictures were flashing around in his mind. None of which he recognized, but he knew they were his memories, just from the sheer fact that Tabitha was in them. Another flash danced across his closed eye lids showing him a picture of Tabitha in a lovely dress, holding onto his arm at the ball. It was the last time he remembered being remotely sane.

"Teb," He murmured pathetically, sliding to the floor and closing his eyes. He knew what would happen once Jax's PAK sent him back into submission and it wouldn't be good. The only reason he was here was because an unknown virus had entered his hosts PAK and screwed up everything, sending him back decades before the control brains were even around. It was the PAK's way of trying to cope with the virus and three new personalities it had to work with. It was slowly dying and so was he, if the virus wasn't out soon he didn't believe there would be a coming back from it.

He lay on his side, breathing shallowly for a while longer before sitting up and smacking his back into the wall as hard as he could. The air left his lungs and the PAK on his back scuffed a little, but his main goal wasn't accomplished.

He continued this, smacking his back hard against the wall, for just about half an hour until he became too tired to do so any longer. He flopped down and smacked the PAK once more before gently closing his eyes, smiling gently when he heard the small click and hiss of the virus chip exiting his PAK's personality compartment.

His work here; was done.

The next morning when Tabitha woke up, things were clearly wrong. First of all, Brooke was no longer in her arms, the bed was cleaned of any blood or spilt milk, and a certain someone was very affectionately lying with her. His arm was draped around her waist, gently massaging the crook of her hip.

At this moment, she felt very insecure. In the past near year that she'd been stuck with Jax, not once did he ever sleep this closely to her nor did he ever do anything to make her feel good before she even woke up. It wasn't the work of Jex either; he wouldn't do something like this. If this was Jex, she would've woken up with him curled up with his back to her, watching over her and their smeet but definitely not cuddling her, especially without their child.

When she tried to scoot away from him, he groaned and stretched out, gently prying an eye open and wincing at the light, "What happened last night," He moaned in an agonized voice, "Tab did you let me drink'r somethin'. My head feels like Irk dropped a planet on it." She froze, insanely confused and terrified beyond describable words, "Tab?" He gently tightened his arm around her waist and slowly kissed her temple, working down her jaw before moving back up to her temple and groaning when another wave of pain hit his head.

He reached his free hand up to rub his own temple thoughtfully, "Tabitha, are you even awake yet? We must've gone crazy last night. Did we find Vex, Zim and the others at all?" She sat up very quickly and very straight upon him mentioning those names.

Jax moaned painfully when the bed moved so suddenly but did nothing but pull the pillow over his head, "I have the worst fucking hang over," He slurred out, "It feels like someone beat the back of my head with a lamp r' somethin'…"

What was going on? Tabitha's mind was whirling around crazily. She ripped the blankets off herself to see it wasn't a dream, she had in fact had Brooke and she was still in the same room. So then what the hell was going on with Jax? Was he playing with her to hurt her more? Was this what she should expect now that Brooke had been born? It was a terrifying thought to think.

"Where're you goin'?" He slurred again, slowly reaching his arms around to hook around her legs, dragging her back over to him so he could hold her and rest his face on her shoulder. "What time is it?"

"I-I don't know," Her voice was strained and clearly agitated, making Jax's sore antenna slowly perk into the air.

"Tab, are you alright?" He looked at her for the first time while struggling to push himself up on his arms, "You look like you've seen a ghost…"

"I…Is this some sort of trick?" She whispered very quietly, "What are you trying to get this time?"

"What're you talking about?" He asked, his squinted eyes looking her over carefully, "I guess…I um am trying to get some sort of 'good morning honey, how did you sleep?' or even better a thorough explanation of what happened at the ball last night. I don't remember anything from it." She stared at him as her jaw dropped, making him give her a confused look. He glanced down at her to see she was wearing no pants and there was something missing on her hand that he thought would be there by now. "Tabitha, where is your ring?" She deadpanned. If her jaw wasn't already on the floor she thought it might just fall through the entire ship. "Tabitha, answer me." He gently tried again.

"Where's Brooke?" She said shakily, still having a mental break down at his behavior.

"Brooke?" Jax's brow furrowed, "Who the hell is Brooke? More importantly, what happened to your pants? We didn't go THAT crazy last night did we?"

"Oh my god," She whispered under her breath, not really knowing what to do. This was a trick; it had to be, "Sol…" She muttered, making Jax's face twist a bit with confusion, "SOL!" She snapped louder. Jax flinched at her loud voice on his very sensitive antenna.

"What? What's happening?" Sol slurred, rushing out of his room with Brooke in his arms. He wasn't wearing a shirt and his pants were on but not buttoned or zipped from the instant wake up call.

Jax's jaw dropped when the two males' eyes met, "Tabitha who the fuck is that!" He snapped, sitting up straight and glaring at the other male.

"I'm Sol dumbass, Jesus did you forget over night or something?" He looked at Tabitha to see she was clearly in distress, making him become a bit more aggressive to Jax once more, "What did you do to her?"

"What did I do to-? A better question is why the fuck you're in my house, care to explain!?"

"Um yeah you drug me here for a week or so until Tabitha gave birth. This is like yesterday's news you idiot."

"GIVE BIRTH!?" Jax shrieked, completely shocked, "I thought I was the first guy you ever slept with."

"You are," Sol answered for her, rolling his eyes.

"We only had sex two days ago! She's not pregnant!"

Sol's jaw dropped and he now realized why Tabitha was in clear distress, "Tabitha, come over here please," He whispered quickly, "Now please!"

"What the? I don't think so pal she's my fiancée!" Jax shouted, grabbing Tabitha's wrist and dragging her over to him, "Did Moon send you? Can you tell him to stop sending his asshole minions in to harass us and that I don't care what he has planned. I want no part of it."

Tabitha jerked away from Jax which surprised him, "Tabitha?" He murmured, looking at her in fear and confusion.

"If this is some trick, stop it right now. I don't like it." She hissed.

"Trick? What in Irk's name are you talking about? Why would I trick you? I mean I might tease once and a while but full out trick you? I don't think so."

"Tabitha hurry up, come here," Sol ushered, staring down Jax in worry.

"Back off!" Jax snarled at him, holding Tabitha's wrist gently, "Honey what is he talking about, what're you talking about? It's starting to freak me out."

"Don't call me honey!" She spat back, reefing her wrist from his hand and stumbling off the bed to go over toward Sol.

"What?" Jax was at a loss now and his face was clearly showing it.

"And I am not your wife to be!"

"But I proposed to you last night, you said yes! Right…?" He suddenly felt very embarrassed as he felt around his pockets for the box that held his proposal to her. "What, where did it go?! I had to have proposed to you, I don't have to ring box anymore!"

Tabitha paused for a long moment. She vaguely remembered Jax dropping a box at the ball before rushing off for a little while. That's when she met Liao… "Oh my Irk Liao, he doesn't know that the babies been born," She whispered, looking at Sol in worry.

"I don't think he's alone." Sol muttered, staring at Jax whom was terribly confused.

"Where are we Tabitha?" Jax cried out, starting to hyperventilate, "If you and Zim are fucking with me again please cut it out. This isn't funny!"

"Zim is dead," Tabitha snarled, "You made sure of that, same with Oniumare and probably most of the others too! I bet Liao's dead! You probably couldn't stand to keep him around, you were too jealous!"

"Tabitha I don't think he remembers any of this," Sol said quickly, "He's just as scared as we are."

"He's lying!" She shouted, voice cracking, "How could he not remember what he did to all our lives that night! How could anyone just forget something like that?!" Sol was surprised to see she was starting to sob now, agitating him and the already frightened Jax still sitting on the bed.

"Tabitha please, I don't believe him either but can we just take a deep breath and figure this out?" Sol tried, making Jax glare at him.

"I don't know what's going on, but I want answers!" Jax snapped, "Why are you in my home, what did you do to Tabitha, whose baby is that and more importantly why are your pants unzipped and where are Tab's pants!"

"Jax this is her baby, and yours," Sol whispered calmly, slowly showing the baby to him.

"No it's not!" Jax shouted back.

"Yes it is!" Tabitha snarled at him, "God and you wonder why I hate you! I don't know what your problem is but stop acting! Just stop it! Jokes over Jax, you won! You fucked my life over; you got what you wanted, so stop trying to put salt in the wounds!"

"Hate me?" He looked crestfallen at that, "Tabitha I don't know what you are talking about! Please stop accusing me of things I didn't do. If something happened we'll figure it out, I won't be too pissed if something happened last night with that tramp," He glared at Sol, "But I want the honest truth."

"YOU AND ME BOTH!" Tabitha shrieked. Sol grabbed her wrist and drug her away from Jax, making her face him.

"Stop it Tabitha you're in shock and having a break down. Get in my room and just think, don't move, don't talk just lie down and think. I'll figure this out."

"The hell you will, she is mine!" Jax shouted, "I was in her life first!"

"Go," Sol demanded. She nodded and wiped tears away while tromping into his room and throwing herself down on his bed, crying super hard. Too many memories and thoughts and hormones were racing through her mind. It was too much to handle.

Sol on the other hand was just trying to keep everything calm. Clearly something was going on here, and it was very strange. He needed to find out what happened to Jax and as quickly as possible because if this was Jax just playing another douche bag trick then by Irk…he'd pay for it this time.

A/N: I was origionally going to end this chapter when Jax asks Tabitha where her ring is. But I thought it was too short so you got some more drama instead! Yeaaayyyy...As for Tabtiha's reaction, she is just entirely confused and disbelieving. She doesn't know what's true and what isn't any more with Jax, so to have such a different attitude come from him is just like another confusing day in her life. It hurts to think about I guess. IDFK man.
